Kanye West’s Video For ‘Life Of The Party’ Will Premiere In An Ad For Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga

As 2022 got underway, it appeared that Kanye West would shift his attention to his eleventh album Donda 2. The project eventually arrived in February, but not in the traditional way that we might have expected. He decided that the album would be housed exclusively on his Stem Player website, and to this day, he’s yet to upload the project to streaming services. However, since releasing Donda last summer, Kanye has continued to share content from the album. He dropped a visual for “Hurricane,” the Grammy-winning standout from the album and now he’s announced that a visual for “Life Of The Party” is on the way.

The track, which features Andre 3000 and finds both rappers speaking about their mothers, will have a matching visual for it released later today. With today being Mother’s Day, it’s a perfect day to share the video for the song. The visual will be available to view on all streaming platforms starting at 9:45pm EST later tonight.

A press release for the video’s announcement also revealed that the visual will appear in the first TV commercial for Yeezy Gap Engineered By Balenciaga. New pieces from the collaboration, which has been described as a “creative exploration,” will debut in the commercial. The items will be available for release on May 25 at 9am EST/6pm PST on Yeezy Gap’s website as well as sites for Balenciaga’s online partners: Farfetch, Mytheresa, and Luisa Via Roma.

Later tonight, you can click here to watch the video for “Life Of The Party.”

Kehlani Says Their “The Morning Hustle” Interview Was “Cringey And Invasive As F*ck”

Just a few days ago, Kehlani made it clear that they’re not interested in doing a full press tour for the recently released blue water road, and now we’ve got a pretty good idea as to why. Earlier this weekend, the mother of one’s appearance on The Morning Hustle hit the internet, and it was awkward, to say the least.

In the days after the episode’s arrival, the R&B star has shared her side of the story, offering up an explanation for why they came off as uninterested in some clips. “I see that interview was still released, I’ve been advised to speak!” Kehlani began.

“I was gonna remain quiet. Every other recent interview has been super bubbly, warm, informative, and open. From start to finish, this interview was cringey, a lot of mockery and invasive as f*ck.”

The SweetSexySavage hitmaker continued, “This is why your favourite artists always stop doing interviews or people don’t want to speak anymore. I’m only speaking to [a] select few folks anymore who really care about me deeply and have always been in my corner.

Kehlani then called out any fans who have been “sharing clips out of context,” informing them that their antics are unhelpful. “All the comments on the YouTube video tho agree it was a shitty ass interview and in my opinion, it’s pretty evident,” they wrote, urging readers to check out other recent interviews that had much better outcomes.

While the songstress has shared her side of the story, The Morning Hustle has also shared theirs. In clips uploaded to @theneighborhoodtalk, we hear hosts discussing their chat with Kehlani, admitting that the artist seemed as though they didn’t want to be there – check it out above and watch the full interview below.

Ella Mai & Roddy Ricch’s New Collab Shines On Our “R&B Season” Update

It was a big weekend over on our Fire Emoji update, with new tracks from A$AP Rocky, Jack Harlow, Westside Boogie, and Future arriving on the latest edition of our playlist. If R&B Season is more your speed, you’ll be pleased to know that we have a handful of new songs for you to stream this Sunday.

Ogi made a bold debut with her Monologues EP this Friday, with two of the project’s six songs receiving love from us. First, “Let Me Go,” a lengthier, more emotional song, which is later followed by “Bitter” – a more upbeat track that boasts fast-paced lyrical wit from the budding songstress.

A new single from SiR, called “Satisfaction,” has also caught our attention. “This was never meant to be what it feels like / This ain’t your real life, and I’m not real / As much as I hope one day things could still work / We both know the deal,” the TDE artist sings on the hook.

Our final selections for this weekend’s R&B Season update come from Roy Woods on his “Insecure” single, which is set to appear on the Canadian artist’s forthcoming Mixed Emotions project, and “How” by Ella Mai featuring Roddy Ricch.

Check out the latest R&B arrivals below, and let us know what you’ve been streaming this weekend in the comments.

Drake Follows & DMs An Internet Troll’s Wife

Every once in a while, a social media hater gets owned by a celebrity. Drake decided to take that route a couple of days ago.

It all started when a sports page compared Tee Morant, father of Memphis Grizzlies player, Ja Morant, to LaVar Ball, who is also an NBA dad. The post said both men were annoying, to which someone argued that they are just proud fathers cheering on their sons.

Being that Drake, born Aubrey Graham, is a father himself, he felt obligated to chime in on the subject. He commented, “Imagine your son makes the league and he’s Ja or Melo or Lonzo and all you can do it be elated and competitive and over supportive and it’s a right of passage to that the the OG’s talk sh*t… I know I’mma be this way even if my son is in a rubix cube competition.”

After reading his lengthy comment, an IG critic, who goes by Ceddy Bo, left Drake a message. He wrote, “ya son prolly play with ghost writers.”

Apparently, Drake had more than enough time on his hands to clap back. In a matter of minutes, the Certified Lover Boy typed back, “I just followed your girl cause she’s prob miserable and needs some excitement in her life.” The 35-year-old not only followed his wife, but he also slid in her DMs and said, “I’m here for u ma.”

As social media users cracked up at Drake’s savagery, TMZ talked to the couple about their encounter with the Canada-born star. Ceddy did feel that Drake went overboard, but he also thought the entire interaction was hilarious. He didn’t think a little trash-talking would result in a confrontation, and he admitted that he is a huge fan of the rapper.

His wife, Toni, claimed she wouldn’t go out with Drake but would love to meet him along with her husband.

Jack Harlow Reveals Dua Lipa’s Reaction To Hearing His Song About Her

Jack Harlow’s Come Home The Kids Miss You has a tracklist of 15 impressive songs, but few of them will stick in your head the way that the fifth title, “Dua Lipa” does. Days before dropping off his sophomore record, the 24-year-old teased the track on Instagram, and since its Friday arrival, Harlow’s song has amassed nearly 3.5 million streams on Spotify alone.

While out promoting his new project, the Kentucky native dropped by The Breakfast Club to talk about his friendship with Drake, working with Lil Nas X, and support from his family, among other things. As Uproxx reports, at one point, the hosts couldn’t help but turn the conversation towards Harlow’s name-drop of the English vocalist.

“I wanted to get her blessing,” he revealed, confirming that he received approval from Lipa before sharing the song. “I didn’t want her to be blindsided by that or feel creeped out or anything.”

When asked what the Future Nostalgia hitmaker’s reaction was, Harlow admitted she said, “I suppose it’s OK,” although he thinks “when the song comes out, she’ll grow to appreciate it even more.” Instead of confirming that he has a crush on the starlet, he simply said, “I admire her.”

Elsewhere in the news, Harlow spent the weekend celebrating his album’s arrival at the Kentucky Derby, where he, Drake, DJ Drama, and Druskii kept the crowd (and social media) thoroughly entertained with their antics – read more about that here, and check out the “Way Out” rapper’s full interview on The Breakfast Club below.

Woman Who Was Allegedly With Kevin Samuels The Night He Died Speaks Out

On May 5, it was confirmed that the social media personality, Kevin Samuels, had passed away. Initially, his cause of death was unknown, but Atlanta Police issued a statement on what happened.

They explained that they received a call claiming that a man had collapsed in his home. Once first responders got there, they performed CPR, but unfortunately, Samuels was unresponsive. An unknown woman was with him during his last moments. She claimed she had spent the night with the 56-year-old, and noted that he was having chest pains the morning that he died.

For days, no one knew the identity of the mystery lady, but it seems that she has come forward. Hours ago, a woman posted onto her Instagram story claiming to be the last one with Samuels.

She wrote, “It’s crazy how complete strangers try to hurt your character. Believe it or not, there’s still good hearted people in this cruel world.”

The woman also warned people that she would be taking the legal approach if she wasn’t left alone. “Unbelievable to think that I have to clear my name for doing the right thing. Let me find a lawyer and make these people take all this mess down,” she added.

Many social media users assumed that her connection with Samuels was nothing more than a fling. To shut down those allegations, she concluded, “I’m a humble six figure woman from the Midwest. No need for a one night stand. My family and close friends know I’m a good person. People are evil but sending you love.”

It has not been confirmed if she is the woman in Samuel’s home. Details about the controversial Youtuber’s death are still being added.

August Alsina Confronts Death, Says He’s Fighting to Stay Alive

Prayers up for August Alsina.

The R&B singer is reflecting on life and death amid his ongoing health struggles. Taking to Instagram, he penned a heartbreaking message and revealed that he’s fighting to stay alive.

“My eyes appear to be closed here, That’s usually where I reside,” he captioned the photo of his eyes closed. “In A constant state of using my internal gps to navigate my way through fields of war, betrayal, & self doubt when the noise is too loud.”

While he’s aware of his mortality, he’s not afraid. “Having not just site, but vision.. has granted me the clarity to know that I’m on my walk to the BLISS of death, & having true peace with that. & as I journey toward it, life’s experience and teachings requires me to leave every part of myself all on the field.”

He encouraged himself to keep fighting even though death is inevitable. “So before my funeral at any given moment, here’s a note to self; until then.. ‘JUST STAY ALIVE AUGUST !!’ You know it’s coming!” he continued. “You ca tell from by the way, you slayed them demons they summoned. Through hell and high water, you will answer the call. For you cannot come back and revisit this place.”

He ended on a cryptic note. “This message is written with love and the forward looking to, more infinite life,” he said before adding, “Don’t panic.”

The “Entanglements” star has been open about his battle with an autoimmune disease. Back in July 2019, he recalled the scary moment when he was temporarily paralyzed and had to be hospitalized.

“I woke up one day and wasn’t able to walk, couldn’t feel my legs, and my doctor ended up admitting me into the hospital,” said August, who suffered nerve damage as a result of the disease, which occurs when your immune system attacks healthy cells in your body by mistake.

He received support from fans, who shared their concern while offering encouragement. “I’m praying for you August. I love you my baby STAY STRONG ! YOU GOT THIS,” wrote one, while another added, “I think we all know what he’s trying to say. But selfishly we don’t wanna believe it.”

Just last month, August dropped his song “Shake the World” on which he seemingly addressed his much-talked-about relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith.

Drake Gives ‘Drunk’ Interview with Jack Harlow at Kentucky Derby

Drake and Jack Harlow were having a little too much fun at the Kentucky Derby.

Fresh off the release off his new album Come Home the Kids Miss You, the Louisville native served as the announcer for the Riders Up, commanding the jockeys to mount their horses prior to the start of Saturday’s race at Churchill Downs Racetrack.

Looking dapper in a shiny white suit, Jack was joined by his “Churchill Downs” collaborator Drake. With Bryson Tiller, DJ Drama, Boi-1da, and Druski looking on, the pair gave an impromptu performance of their new collaboration from a portable speaker.

They were also interviewed live on NBC, where Drake admitted to drinking a few too many mint juleps. “I had to show up. I’m so proud of this guy and we’re drunk,” he said before noting that Jack does not drink. “He’s sober, I’m drunk.”

They placed their bets on a horse called Happy Jack, who placed 14th in the race. “There’s something pulling us towards Happy Jack,” said Drake of the longshot, while Harlow added, “It’s a shame there wasn’t a Happy Aubrey. We’d run that too.”

After a producer tried to end the interview, Drake joked, “You can’t give the wrap it up signal. What are you gonna cut to? A shot of poorly-manicured grass or something.”

In addition to Drake, Come Home the Kids Miss You features Lil Wayne, Justin Timberlake, and Pharrell. The album is expected to debut near the top of the charts with 110-135,000 copies.

IDK & Mike Dimes Collaborate On Kaytranada-Produced Song, “The Code”

Mike Dimes’ most recent project IN DIMES WE TRUST found massive success amongst his fan base, and now, the Texas spitter has returned with a new appearance on IDK’s “The Code” – the seventh title from his brand new Simple. album.

“Everybody got damages, everybody got problems / Everybody gon’ tell on you, never spill out your problems / Give a n*gga a bottle of water, they want the sea / Give a n*gga a honeycomb, prolly gon’ take your bees,” the “RELIGION” rapper rhymes over the Kaytranada-produced beat.
