Lil Durk Denies Putting Pete Davidson on Upcoming Album: “I Don’t Even Play Like That”

Earlier this month, Chicago native Lil Durk announced that he would be releasing his highly anticipated album, 7220, on the 22nd of February, the same day that Kanye West would release Donda 2. However, rather than dropping the entire album, Durk released a single from the 20 track album titled “AHHH HA” and updated the release date to March 11th.

Many believed that Durk wanted to go head to head with his fellow Chicago brother until Kanye announced that he would not be releasing his music through streaming services. He would release his music through a STEM player to receive his rewards in full. With Lil Durk adjusting the release date, rumors sparked on social media that Pete Davidson would be featured on West’s album.

Pete Davidson is rumored to be dating Kanye West’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian. The two have been unleashing their inner petty towards each other on different platforms.

“Lil Durk has Pete Davidson featured on his album [laughing emoji] peak troll,” a Twitter user posted. Usually, Durk doesn’t clear up rumors but took the time to address this one on his story with the caption, “This a lie I don’t even play like that plus Ye want to do an album together [smiling emoji with sunglasses].”

Durk has clearly shown his loyalty to his fellow Chi-Town brother, which picking sides in the industry has frequently been happening these days. Would you be here for a Durk and Ye collab album?

L.A. District Attorney’s Office Believes Charges Against Tory Lanez “Can Be Proven Beyond a Reasonable Doubt”

Tory Lanez Violated Megan Thee Stallion's Restraining Order By Performing At Rolling Loud, According To Prosecutors

On Wednesday (Feb. 22), DJ Akademiks hit twitter with a report regarding the alleged shooting of Megan Thee Stallion by Tory Lanez. Akademiks during the day’s court session, a report was delivered stating Lanez’s DNA was not located on the gun that was used during the shooting. However, not only had the court not yet started, that message was not delivered.

“It was revealed in court few moments ago that Tory Lanez DNA WAS NOT found on the weapon in the Meg Thee Stallion case,” Akademiks wrote in a tweet-and-delete.

Immediately picking up momentum online, the message made it back to Megan Thee Stallion who called out Akademiks for creating a hate campaign.

“I know some of yall blogs on payroll but please dont get sued trying to create a hate campaign. Be a real journalist and post FACTS,” Thee Stallion posted on Instagram.

“Yall got breaking news 15 minutes before court started and nobody has even been called in yet?” she added. “Yall tryna win a social media campaign, this is my real life! Yall tryna get retweets spreading false narratives! @iamakademiks why are you lying? What did you gain?”

Megan Thee Stallion would also reveal the only announcement in court was a delay until April 5.

Following the ordeal online and statements from both sides, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office released an official statement to Complex:

“Although we are legally prohibited from commenting on the evidence and will continue to abide by that obligation, our office is under an ethical duty to only proceed on charges which we believe can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt and which have already been upheld by a judge after presentation of evidence at the preliminary hearing. We believe the evidence substantially supports the charges and allegations and that evidence will be borne out in court.”

Tory Lanez is facing felony counts of assault and weapons charges.

Aside from seeing her personal growth, fans have also lived through experiences with the singer who helped create the 2X platinum-selling album “Over It” and its sequel, “Still Over It” which gained 200 million listens in its first week.

Fans were excited to see the singer perform at a recent concert in Atlanta, where she sang a collection of her songs and even surprised fans with a guest appearance from SZA to perform their single, “No Love.” While she sang many songs, Summer addressed why she missed a few tracks from the album, as they are still triggering to the singer.

“I cannot sing that song. I just want to talk to y’all for a second. For anybody that came here and was like, ‘Oh, she didn’t do ‘Reciprocate,’ she didn’t do ‘Session 33,’ I didn’t do a lot of songs from the new album,” she said on the mic. “I want you to know that, you know, this sh*t is real. I write a lot of my stuff. I write most of my stuff and it’s still a fresh wound.”

“My baby, she not even one yet and I ain’t got time to be up here singing that sh*t, crying in front of y’all,” she continued.  “So, I sang what I could and I hope that y’all still enjoy the show.”

Fans at the show roared with cheer, showing they understood where Summer Walker was coming from. Today, Summer looks happily in love with her new boo, Larry, as the two revealed they got matching tattoos in November. Check it out below.

Lizzo Explains How Watching “The Nutty Professor” Made Her Feel “Sad” Growing Up

Lizzo has been a proponent of body acceptance throughout her career. While she has faced criticism over her weight and has faced backlash for some of her antics, most famously, her choice of clothing at a Lakers game in 2019, she has continued to try to change the narrative and image of plus-sized women.

In a recent interview with Variety, Lizzo spoke on representation in Hollywood as well as her reaction to seeing Eddie Murphy wear fat suits in many of his movies.

Lizzo was asked what examples of stereotypes she saw of plus-sized people in film and television growing up that she thought were “harmful” and portrayed plus-sized people in a negative light. Lizzo then references Eddie Murphy’s portrayal of Sherman Klump in The Nutty Professor.

“It’s funny because I’m the biggest Eddie Murphy fan of all time,” Lizzo said. “But he definitely had a collection of fat-suit movies that people would be laughing at, but I would feel sad.”

“Not because I felt like, ‘Oh, my gosh — that’s me.’ But I had this empathy for Professor Klump [in The Nutty Professor],” she added. “Like, the scene where he opens his drawer and there are all these candies and M&Ms in his desk? I could literally cry right now thinking about it. People around me were laughing, but I hide food, too. I feel him. I feel sympathy and empathy for him.”

Snoop Dogg Still In Negotiations For Dr. Dre and 2Pac’s Albums After Death Row Records Purchase

It was a full-circle moment when Snoop Dogg was able to buy Death Row Records, the label that jumpstarted his three-decade-long career. However, Dr. Dre and 2Pac’s catalogs were not included in the sale, and Snoop is reportedly still in negotiations to get the two artists’ Death Row catalogs.

According to Billboard, 2Pac’s All Eyez On Me and The Don Killuminati: 7 Day Theory albums were not included in the purchase and is”no longer on the label.” Similarly, Dr. Dre’s classic solo debut album The Chronic was no longer on the Death Row label but will be returned next year.

The report also states that the specifics of the cataloge portion of the deal are still “being negotiated,” and as for right now, MNRK Music Group and investment firm Blackstone are still the owners of the Death Row cataloges.

Having recently purchased Death Row Records, Snoop announced that the new Death Row will be the first ever NFT record label and will be included in the metaverse. “We will be putting out artists through the Metaverse. Just like we broke the industry when we was the first independent [label] to be major, I want to be the first major [label] in the Metaverse.”

Da Brat and her fiancee Jessica “Judy” Depart officially tied the knot on 2/22/22. According to PEOPLE, the two chose the special date for their Georgia-based event.

The wedding was held at the Horse Mansion in Fairburn, GA, with 100 guests attending, including Jermaine Dupri, Lisa Ray McCoy, Eva Marcille, Rickey Smiley, and more.

After the ceremony, Da Brat told PEOPLE that she was thrilled to call Dupart her wife while revealing before the wedding the tandem had “so many things going on, and so many decisions to make.”

“Everything about her made me want her to be mine forever,” Da Brat said. “And I felt like I knew it not much longer than from the day we met.”

Kanye West held his DONDA 2 Experience in Miami on Tuesday night. The superstar and billionaire’s experience featured the likes of The Game, Migos, DaBaby, Future, Pusha T, Baby Keem, Travis Scott, Jack Harlow, Alicia Keys, Fivio Foreign, and more.

The experience was creative directed by Niklas Bildstein Zaar and featured a burning house in the middle of the stadium. The intro to the experience for those watching the live stream was YE’s real-time heartbeat. The stem player, which holds the currently released songs, and those forthcoming, is available online.

Alongside the event, YE released merch, including two looks from the upcoming YZY Gap Balenciaga collection.

Angela Simmons has been a star of television her entire life. We watched her grow up on Runs House. Now we can watch her as an adult as she is back with season two of two shows.

AspireTV has agreed to bring back another season of Just Angela, and her show Social Society, streaming on ALLBLK, will also return for a second season.

On Just Angela, Angela gives viewers insight into all aspects of her life. She’s a mother, entrepreneur, and executive producer. Since growing up, she has changed a ton. No longer is she just Rev. Run’s daughter. The “New York City Gal” has moved down south to Atlanta, and we get the first hand look to see how she tackles the challenges of adulthood. She recently purchased a new home. Just Angela is Angela’s new reality, and we get a chance to see how she lives it.

Being the ultimate girl boss, Angela also teamed up with Lil Wayne’s daughter Reginae Carter to bring a different perspective to season two of Social Society.

Angela and Reginae will join Kendall Kyndall and Kendra G. as the host. The show will have an unrestricted mix of guest stars, using a mixture of social commentary and comedy to discuss some of the culture’s toughest issues.

Congratulations to Da Brat and Jesseca. The Grammy-nominated rapper tied the knot with her fiancé, Kaleidoscope Hair founder Jesseca Dupart.

The couple, who are expecting their first child together, solidified their union of love on the numeric 2-22-22 at Horse Mansion in Fairburn, Georgia in a fairy-tale wedding, complete with a horse and carriage.

According to People, the couple married in front 100 loved ones, including Da Brats sister Lisa Raye McCoy, Jermaine Dupri, Rickey Smiley and The Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss, and Eva Marcille.

Shawntae Harris aka Da Brat has been open with her relationship on display for all to see on the couples We network reality show Brat Loves Judy, which is one of the few reality shows centered around an LGBTQ couple.

Their walk down the aisle comes just weeks after the couple announced they were expecting their first child together.

The couple shared the news on Instagram with a photo of Da Brat wrapping her arms around Judy, holding up a heart in front of her fiancé’s stomach.

“We are EXTENDING the family🤰🏽”.
