2nd Annual Caribbean Music Awards Slated For August In Brooklyn

In preparation for the grand opening, Disney hosted a lively reception titled ‘We Came to Play,’ bringing together content creators and media outlets from around the globe. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure invites guests on a thrilling journey with Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis. As they navigate winding waterways, visitors will encounter critter musicians who add their unique flair to Tiana’s southern soiree. The ride culminates in an exhilarating 50-foot drop, leading to the grandest Mardi Gras celebration this side of the Mississippi.

AZ, Lord Jamar, King Sun And More To Perform At Inaugural “Supreme Mathematics Awards” Ceremony In Brooklyn Today

Today, Seven Lights Productions in conjunction with the 5% Nation will be holding the Inaugural “Supreme Mathematics Awards” ceremony, which will be held in Brooklyn’s Paragon Ballroom. Hosted by C&C Music Factory’s Freedom Williams, the show features appearances from notable Hip Hop artists such as AZ, Lord Jamar, King Sun and other well known rappers from the 5% culture such as Estee Nack, Raz Fresco, Kasim Allah, Tragedy Khadafi, Lakim Shabazz and countess others.

The award show is the first of its kind, heading off the Nation’s Annual Show And Prove Weekend, which is a celebration of the accomplishment’s of the 5% since the assassination of the Nation’s founder during the same weekend in 1969. This is also a celebration of the Nation’s 60th anniversary, reminiscent of the Nation’s 50th Anniversary celebration, which was held at the World Famous Apollo Theater and featured Erykah Badu, Big Daddy Kane, The World Famous Supreme Team and many others.

The event will also be live streamed from Polygon at 7pm courtesy of Seven Lights Productions and will be presenting awards to notable members of Allah’s 5% Nation as well as the community in areas of music, health, sports, medicine, technology, community affairs and of course, education.

Internationally acclaimed, global superstar Travis Scott and his SOLD-OUT North American CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR is officially the highest-grossing rap tour of 2024. The Grammy nominated, cultural kingpin stands alongside fellow musical giants U2, Madonna, and Depeche Mode as part of the top ten highest-grossing tours of the year.

Travis Scott’s sold-out 44-date North American CIRCUS MAXIMUS TOUR grossed an impressive $95.7M with an attendance of 686k and broke multiple merchandise sale records from state to state. Scott was also the first rapper in history to headline a sold-out SoFi Stadium show in Los Angeles.

Travis Scott’s highly anticipated sold-out summer European arena and stadium CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour starts next month on June 28 at the GelreDome in the Netherlands. The tour has already grossed $49.9M with 425,271 tickets sold. Produced by Live Nation, the tour sold out venues such as the 43,661-capacity Rhein Energie Stadion in Cologne, Germany, and the 48,300-capacity Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt. The tour includes his largest-ever U.K. headline show at the 48,256-capacity Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. Travis continues to be represented by James Rubin at WME.

1 Euro/Pound from every ticket sold, will go to Cactus Jack Foundation, a 501(c)3 with a mission to uplift Houston youth through toy drives, scholarship programs to HBCU college students, and fulfilling expenses for education and creative endeavors.

Last week, Travis Scott launched his special-edition AJ1 ELKINS Jordan Brand shoe, made with premium leather in Canary and Light Silver, and pop of Racer Blue. This past weekend, 13-time GRAMMY Award-winning recording artist, songwriter, and producer Babyface kicked off his multi-night engagement at the Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort with electrifying performances on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26.

Babyface took the audience back in time as he performed a curated selection of his own iconic, award-winning hits (“Whip Appeal,” “Every Time I Close My Eyes,” “When Can I See You Again”) as well as songs he has written and produced for renowned artists. Producer and radio host Scott “DJ Skee” Keeney, the founder of The Realest, emphasized the uniqueness of the collection, telling Variety, “The items he is putting up are iconic. Everything from lyrics, awards — like ‘Pimp of the Year’! — unreleased tapes, outfits, sample toys, photos, scripts, concert riders, even a Snoop-authenticated smoked blunt in a crazy display case and ashtray.”
