The Stewie 1 Reintroduce, Breanna Stewart’s iconic sneaker, is getting a new incarnation from PUMA Hoops.
This new colorway, the third release of Stewie’s signature shoe, has a bespeckled gum sole and an upper that is flecked to resemble the geological formations on Washington State’s magnificent Mount Rainier. It is inspired by glacier rocks. The great forward’s dazzling presence on the court is symbolized by the neon yellow accent that breaks up the otherwise neutral color scheme.
The Stewie 1 Reintroduce, which has a suggested retail price of $120, will go on sale starting on Jan. 16 through PUMA.com, the PUMA mobile app, the PUMA NYC Flagship store, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and other select retailers around the world.

Snoop Dogg and designer Philipp Plein have joined forces with a sneaker collaboration. A combination of Plein’s gothic aesthetic and Snoop Dogg’s musical legacy are the focal points of this partnership. The two creatives are offering a sneaker in two styles: a black and gold colorway designed with a platform heel, patent black leather body and gold logo, as well as a purple, black and yellow colorway embellished with crystals, inspired by the Lakers.
An intimate celebration transpired on Monday night inside “Chateau Falconview,” Plein’s Bel Air guest home. The main residence sat atop the winding road, sitting on 3.6 acres at a property reportedly worth $200 million. The gathering hosted numerous celebrities such as musician Tommy Lee. It wrapped around 10 p.m. with a giant sized cake replica of the purple sneaker.
Snoop expressed his brotherhood with Plein, which happened organically over time and started off with mutual fanhood. Growing up in Long Beach California, Snoop said, “Me and Philipp have been friends for a few years. We’ve done a few events together, some runway shows in different countries. We decided to come up with a collaboration, so I wanted to put my influence on a shoe, but I wanted him to perfect the show so I didn’t really have too much to do with creative as much as him and his team did, because I trust what they do. You can walk to it, dance to it. You can work out to it. You can wear it with pants, shorts, sweats. You can wear it with anything. It’s made for everybody.”
As Plein has stated before, he values the importance of “authentic” partnerships. Snoop has performed at previous Plein shows and both the rapper’s father and son have walked the designer’s runway. “It’s a family business,” expressed Plein.
Snoop Dogg’s Plein Dogg collection is available at Plein’s stores and website.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is noted as one of the greatest sitcoms of all time and is known for catapulting Will Smith into superstar status. Of the many memorable moments in the show that ran from 1990 to 1996, many fans and sneakerheads remember how Will was always wearing the newest or hottest Jordans during the episodes. In fact, in the first episode, he dons a pair of Metallic 5’s, and in the final episode a pair of Columbia 11s.
Well, on a recent episode of Matt Barnes and Steven Jackson’s All The Smoke podcast, Will Smith revealed that he used to beg Michael Jordan to send him pairs before they released so that he could wear them on the show.
“I was living the culture,” Smith said. “I was literally calling Jordan like ‘Mike, please, please don’t give it to nobody. Just let me be the first person, I gotta be the first person to wear it’. And he was like ‘Man, I don’t run that.’”
Smith also said he was unaware that Nike released multiple colorways of Jordan 5’s under the “Fresh Prince” name. The first pair dropped in 2013 and featured the “Grape” colorway without the laces (as Will famously wore them in the show), the second pair dropped in 2018, and the last pair dropped in 2020.
UPROXX, the youth culture & music destination, will launch Fresh Pair, on Wednesday, 9/28 at 12pm PT/ 3pm ET. This brand-new series stars hip-hop legend Just Blaze and sneaker customizer to the stars Katty Customs. In the series, the co-hosts sit down with some of the biggest names in culture, to talk about their careers and personal journeys through the prism of a 1-of-1 custom shoe, made just for them.
Season One guests include Jadakiss, The Game, T.I., Redman, EL-P, Jim Jones, Styles P, and will.i.am.

Stewie 1 ends the industry’s lengthy drought of more than ten years and emphasizes the point of our long-overdue collaboration. The performance-driven shoe’s Quiet Fire colorway, a dramatic juxtaposition of neon yellow and contrasting black, captures Stewart’s fierce-yet-humble attitude on and off the court. The upper, which takes inspiration from the North Star, depicts the forward’s tremendous talent and pays homage to her high school team, while a subtle tonal flame design symbolizes this duality. The Stewie 1 is unequaled on all counts thanks to its revolutionary technology, which includes NITRO foam.

Reebok has announced that Shaquille O’Neal’s coveted “Shaq Attaq” sneaker will make a comeback on September 23. This comes as Reebok continues to highlight its extensive basketball archive through the likes of Allen Iverson’s Question and Answer lines, the revolutionary Hurrikaze and Hurrikaze II, Dee Brown’s Pump Omni Zone II, and more.
Shaq’s first signature shoe was the “Shaq Attaq,” which former Reebok designer Judy Close produced for the outsized rookie sensation in 1992. The design showcased Reebok’s creative approach to performance footwear by combining new “Shaq” branding components with cutting-edge Reebok technologies like a custom-fit Pump bladder and carbon fiber footplate. The footwear, most importantly, gave Shaq the best-in-class stability and comfort on the court as he destroyed countless rims, backboards, and records.
Arriving in adult unisex sizing, “Shaq Attaq” is set for an official global launch on September 23 from Reebok.com/basketball, Snipes, The Athlete’s Foot, and other select retailers. You can see the sneaker below.
