Drake Says He’s “Not Going To Make Music” For A Little Bit To Focus On His Health

With the release of For All The Dogs, it seems like Drake might be preparing to slow down on music. The Canadian rapper’s been on a prolific run since 2021, releasing four albums in a little over two years. Add to the fact that Drake has been on tour all summer, we can imagine that the rapper needs some time to unwind. During his recent episode of Table For One, Drake revealed that he would be stepping back from music.

Drizzy explained that he’s faced some health issues over the past few years. “I’ll probably not going to make music for a little bit, I’mma be real with you. I need to focus on my health, first and foremost,” he said. He explained that he’s had issues with his stomach that he needs to focus on. “I need to get right, I have a lot of other things I would love to focus on so I’m going to lock the door on the studio for a little bit,” he added. “I don’t know what a little bit is. Maybe a year or something. Maybe a little bit longer.

It seems as though Drake has been thinking about taking a break from music for a while. Earlier this year, the rapper sat down with Lil Yachty and explained that he’s pondered the idea of a “graceful exit.” “Well, I think like on a broader scale, I think I’m at the point now where I just wanna, like—I feel like maybe we talked about this the other day—but I feel like I’m kind of introducing the concept in my mind of a graceful exit,” he explained.

He added that he’d continue to pop up and perform here and there but he wouldn’t force himself to compete. Most recently, he teased his fans when performing in Miami and declared that he’d be stepping away from music before telling them that he’s “just playin’.” Regardless, it seems as though Drake needs to shift his focus for a bit and we can’t blame him. Cause of Death for Jacky Oh Revealed by Medical Examiner

Jacky Oh‘s cause of death has been revealed. The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed death by complications of cosmetic surgery, PEOPLE confirms.

A police report states authorities were dispatched for an unresponsive female, transporting Jacky Oh to Mercy Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The medical team attempted “resuscitative efforts.”

In June, the surgeon who operated on DC Youngfly’s partner, Jacky Oh, broke his silence.

The mother of three passed away at the age of 32. TMZ reported she was in Miami getting a “mommy makeover” before her unexpected death. After receiving backlash on social media, Dr. Zach Okhah has responded on Instagram and made a statement in defense of his practice.

“To my past, current, and prospective patients, PH-1 Miami remains devoted to the highest quality medical care,” Dr. Okhah began. “All aesthetic procedures are performed in a hygienically, safe environment to universally recognized medical standards. Victim Of Lil Baby Concert Shooting Reveals His Health Following The Incident

Lil Baby’s Memphis concert resulted in a shocking and dangerous night as shots rang out while he performed with Rylo Rodriguez. Moreover, police are still investigating the incident that resulted in one man sustaining injuries, though fortunately no one else was struck. Similarly fortunate news is that the victim in question is seemingly all healed up now, as he posted a video of him getting ready for the day listening to music. Furthermore, with bandages on his body and a positive attitude, it seems like he fully recovered from what could’ve been a tragic occurrence.

If you’re curious as to who the victim is, who the perpetrator is, and why this all happened, Memphis PD are still looking into it. However, reports indicate that the man who got shot at the Lil Baby concert is Young Dolph’s cousin, CEO Jizzle. Authorities are still searching for the shooter, and investigating how they entered a firearm into the FedEx Forum arena. As such, it’s still a murky case. With time and effort, though, hopefully they can crack down on this for future concerts, both on the tour and at this venue.

Here’s what some of the artists billed to perform had to say about this incident. “Memphis is ghetto as f**k,” GloRilla wrote on social media shortly after the shooting. “We been on this tour this whole f***ing time and today they want to f***ing shoot. It ain’t been a shootout at not a one of these shows… Man, this some ghetto s**t. It ain’t even funny, for real.” Meanwhile, Lil Baby didn’t directly address the shooting, but did issue a statement. Also, he cited “unforeseen circumstances” and announced that he canceled his following show in Kentucky as well.

“Unfortunately I couldn’t perform last night in Memphis,” the 4PF leader wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Ima make sure everybody gets a refund tho.” As unfortunate, scary, and potentially tragic as this situation is, at least the injured person is back on his feet. The Whoa Collection aspires to address these inequities head-on. By increasing the number of practicing Black dentists, LISTERINE aims to positively impact the understanding, behaviors, and access surrounding oral healthcare. The initiative recognizes that increasing diversity in the dental profession is a critical step toward achieving oral health equity.

Jamie Foxx was reportedly a “ball of energy” on the set of a new commercial according to his co-star for the piece, Kristen Radford Thom. The commercial is for BetMGM’s latest promotional campaign. Thom spoke about the experience of working with Foxx with PEOPLE.

“One of my favorite actors, and he was kind and humble and hilarious — all wrapped up in a ball of energy!” Thom told the outlet. “He came over to our table (we were sitting right behind him while he played piano) and just opened up to us. As private as he is, he was pretty open to our table about his situation without telling us exactly what happened.”

The advertisement features Foxx rocking a black suit while playing piano at NoMad Library inside the Park MGM Las Vegas. Foxx filmed the spot back in July. “He was the nicest,” Thom said of Foxx. “He was funny. His improv abilities are unmatched. The entire set was laughing at his jokes. He is talented, in the most natural way.” The filming of the BetMGM commercial came after Foxx’s medical emergency, earlier this year.

The actor was hospitalized with an undisclosed condition in April and remained under medical care for months before confirming what was ailing him. The lack of information caused rampant speculation about his condition. He finally addressed the situation in a message to fans on Instagram in July. “I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through and I know a lot of people were waiting or wanting to hear updates but to be honest with you I just didn’t want you to see me like that man,” he said at the time. “I want you to see me laughing, having a good time, partying, cracking a joke, doing a movie, television show, I didn’t want you to see me with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.”

Bella Hadid says that she’s “finally healthy” after spending over 100 days being treated for chronic Lyme disease. She provided an update on her health for fans on Instagram, Sunday, while sharing photos from the hospital.

“Thankful to my mommy for keeping all of my medical records, sticking by me, never leaving my side, protecting, supporting, but most of all, believing me through all of this,” Hadid began in the post.

Hadid continued: “Living in this state, worsening with time and work while trying to make myself, my family and the people who support me, proud, had taken a toll on me in ways I can’t really explain. To be that sad and sick with the most blessings/privilege/opportunity/love around me was quite possibly the most confusing thing ever. one thing I want to express to you all is that 1: I am okay and you do not have to worry, [heart emoji] and 2:I wouldn’t change anything for the world. If I had to go through all of this again, to get here, to this exact moment I’m in right now, with all of you, finally healthy, I would do it all again. It made me who I am today.”

From there, she tried to provide motivation for followers dealing with their own struggles. “Take a step away, stay strong, have faith in your path, walk in your truth and the clouds will start to clear up,” she advised. She added that the entire ordeal has given her “perspective on life.”

Recently, there was a dude at the play I did called Between Riverside and Crazy who was in a wheelchair. His mother was talking to me, and she said, “He’s so happy to meet you. He loves you, loved the play, and really loves your music.” A friend of his was dying, and he told him to listen to my music. That hit me in a different way because he told him to listen to it because it would give him some hope.”

NYC Officials Warn of New COVID-19 Summer Surge

COVID-19 is roaring back into the lives of New York City residents. According to NY Daily News, a summer surge of COVID is impacting NYC.

Data from across the city and state show a rise in COVID-19, signaling the latest run of the pandemic. Reasons for the surge have been connected to immunity to variants wearing away and more air-conditioned indoor events. The hospitalization rate per 100,000 residents is up to 10.22. The pre-surge figure was 4.41 hospitalizations.

“The main point is that we need to keep paying attention to COVID,” Dr. Jessica Justman, an infectious disease specialist and epidemiologist at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, said.

On Wednesday, the State Department of Health encouraged NYC residents to take precautions and to test if they feel sick.
