Lil Tay Namedrops Halsey While Erupting On Haters For Saying Her Heart Issue Was A Hoax

Lil Tay has been in the public eye ever since she was a little kid. Overall, her time on the internet has been nothing short of controversial, as many were/are of the opinion that she was/is just a clout chaser of sorts. However, she’s only fed off the criticism and is now looking to forge a path in the music industry as well. Unfortunately, she the teenager has not had the easiest start, as she was going through someone faking her and her brother’s death around this time last year. Then, just a few weeks ago, she was diagnosed with a heart tumor, which required ICU attention. She seems to be bouncing back well, as she just released her second single, “Growing Up.”

However, even though it was an emotional record for her to write –it was partially inspired by her recent health scare– people online are tearing into everything surrounding it. They feel that the track and heart problem are all attempts at bringing more attention to Tay. The multi-media personality decided to address it in a heated rant on her social media. She mentioned how other artists like Halsey, for example, can do the same thing and be praised for it.

Lil Tay Goes Off

“So Halsey can get cancer (actually lupus and a T-cell disorder) and drop a single the exact same day she announces her cancer and its bold”, she began. “But I’ve been gone for a f***ing year ’cause I’ve been dealing with a lot of s***… And suddenly I’m pulling a PR stunt? Even though I’m dropping my song weeks later? Doesn’t make any f***ing sense. You haters are literally being insensitive and slow on purpose.” But despite how angry she is, Lil Tay isn’t going to let it get to her and she’s going to promote her new song a lot.

What are your thoughts on Lil Tay putting haters on blast for claiming her health scare was a PR stunt? Do you think she makes a sound argument against their comments? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Lil Tay. As for Kravitz, he hasn’t performed during the VMAs since 1998, when he accompanied Madonna on “Ray Of Light.”

Fans Think G-Eazy Dissed Halsey On “WORK Pt. 4” And Here’s Why

G-Eazy and Halsey did not part on good terms. An understatement, we know. The two artists dated from 2017-18, and ever since, things have been tense. Well, at least one way. G-Eazy has been much vocal in terms of discussing the relationship in the intervening years. This is partially why fans think the Oakland rapper threw at shot Halsey on his newest song. G-Eazy dropped a verse on the English language remix for the AZEEZ song “Work.” It’s a pretty forgettable verse on a cursory listen, but a few lines stuck out as pertaining to Halsey, in particular.

G-Eazy spends the second verse of the song talking about an unnamed woman. He flexes about how he runs the Bay, but gets much more specific with subsequent lines. “Actin’ innocent, no, it’s not your first time. We’re far away if Libra is her sign,” he raps. G-Eazy then goes on to lament the fact that this girl is unable to change. “Oof, danger, danger (Danger, danger)/Don’t be a stranger (Don’t be a stranger),” he adds. “She said no one can save her.” It’s worth noting that this is the sort of material G-Eazy has always rapped about. The thing that gives listeners reason for pause, though, is the specificity of the signs that were mentioned.

G-Eazy References Halsey’s Sign On The New Song

Halsey’s birthday is September 29, which makes her a Libra. The rest of the verse can then be read as an indictment of the singer, and the time she spent with G-Eazy. It wouldn’t be the first time the rapper had harsh words for Halsey on a song. He threw a pretty harsh dig at the singer on his 2019 song “I Wanna Rock.” He dismissed their entire relationship. “No Limit, all I got is Me, Myself & I,” he raps. “When I said it’s her and I, that sh*t was a lie.” Not enough? Don’t worry, because G-Eazy ran it back with a full album of disses in 2020. Everything’s Strange Here is practically dedicated to Halsey, and the pain she caused the rapper.

There isn’t enough time to sift through all the Halsey references, so we will focus on the song “Had Enough.” G-Eazy really aired out the dirty laundry on this one. “All them lies that you was tellin’ on me. Hoping I lose, you hope an L is on me,” the rapper lamented. “She would tell anybody, she’ll go and tell her homie. She would go on TV, she go on Ellen on me.” Halsey threw a few shots back on her singles “Without Me” and “Die for Me.” It would probably be best if both of them move on. At least, musically speaking.

Britney Spears Calls Out Halsey for “Lucky” Music Video, then Deletes Post

Britney Spears Calls Out Halsey for Lucky Music Video, then Deletes Post

With over 17 million in album sales, most people would consider pop superstar Halsey one of the luckiest artists of her generation. However, another superstar (may) not be a fan after her most recent video.

On Friday, Halsey dropped her music video for her song “Lucky” in which she sampled Britney Spears 2001 hit song “Lucky.” In the video, Halsey appears to portray herself as a young girl idolizing spears while also portraying a loose interpretation of Spears herself, including a scene where she removes a long red wig to show a bald head, a move that Spears may have felt was a jab at her 2007 mental breakdown in which she shaved her head.

Spears made the following post on X (formerly Twitter) before quickly deleting it:

“For obvious reasons I’m very upset about the Halsey video. I feel harassed, violated, and bullied. I didn’t know an artist like her and someone I looked up to and admired would illustrate me in such an ignorant way by tailoring me as a superficial pop star with no heart or concern at all. I have my own health problems which is why I took down my IG account yesterday. I will definitely be putting it back up to show I CARE. I’m speaking with my lawyers today to see what can be done on this matter. It feels illegal and down right cruel.”

However, just under an hour later, Spears posted the following:

“Fake news !!! That was not me on my phone !!! I love Halsey and that’s why I deleted it !!!”

Whether or not Spears did or did not make the original post, fans of Halsey were quick to point out that her video shows Halsey’s fictional character going through some sort of medical treatment, which would make sense since she had publicly admitted to suffering from lupus and a rare type of T-cell disorder, both of which require medical treatments. (Spears has never publicly appeared to have any medical disorders of that type.)

Halsey has yet to respond to Spears publicly, but as of Friday night, her video was one of the top 25 trending music videos on YouTube.

Halsey And Moses Sumney Are Among The Cast For Ti West’s ’80s-Inspired ‘Maxxxine’ Film

Halsey and Moses Sumney are two musicians who are among the newly-announced cast for Ti West’s Maxxxine — which will star Mia Goth as the title character, as a continuation of the X and Pearl realm.

Goth, who will be reprising her Maxine character from X, will now be trying “to make it as an actress in 1980s Los Angeles,” according to Deadline. (Pearl had been a prequel from the perspective of the old murderous lady in X, which Goth also played.)

A24 dropped the first teaser announcement for the film today on social media. “Hollywood, here she comes,” the caption reads. It is set to start filming later this month.

Both Sumney and Halsey have dabbled in the acting realm previously. Sumney is set to appear in HBO’s upcoming series, The Idol, and was included in Creed. Meanwhile, Halsey starred in Americana, a film that recently had its premiere at SXSW.

While their exact roles in Maxxxine are currently still under wraps, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon are also in the cast. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Esposito is playing an adult film agent, Debicki is a director, and Monaghan and Cannavale work for the LAPD. Bacon is playing a private detective.

Halsey had also been hinting at their casting for a few months now, after captioning an Instagram post from February, “viXXXen for Valentine’s” — seemingly referencing the style of Maxxxine.

Donald Glover’s Hot New Show ‘Swarm’ Takes A Shot At Halsey Via Paris Jackson

The first episode has only been out for a few hours, but it looks like Donald Glover’s new show Swarm is already the internet’s favorite show to dissect, discuss, and debate. He might just have another hit on his hands. Fans have been enamored with the acting of the show’s stars like Billie Eilish, flustered by co-star Chlöe’s first-ever sex scene, and grooving to the psychedelic soundtrack, which features new Childish Gambino tracks like “Sticky.”

Another moment that has viewers gagging is a joke in the show in which Paris Jackson compares herself to Halsey. During a conversation between Jackson’s character Hailey and the show’s protagonist, Dre, portrayed by Dominique Fishback, Hailey mentions that she had to “run away” from a relationship because her partner didn’t like that she was Black. Of course, we’ve all seen Paris Jackson (who’s had to address this topic in the past in real life), and Dre is understandably a little thrown by this assertion.

“You’re Black?” she asks incredulously.

“Yeah,” Hailey replies. “My dad’s half.”

“Half what? Black?”

“Yeah,” Hailey says, winding up for the pitch. “That’s why my stage name’s Halsey. You do know who Halsey is, right?” Here’s the clip:

I’ll give you a minute to process Halsey being Black, in case that’s a revelation for you (Halsey’s father is Black, while her mom’s Italian). Honestly, it’s a pretty good joke, playing on a shared attribute between Halsey and Paris, as well as a discussion that both have had to have probably more times than they want to remember.

Meanwhile, it’s clear that Swarm is already becoming the next Euphoria, which may owe to its satirical premise of an out-of-control, serial-killing stan of a famous pop star. The funhouse mirror version of fan Twitter is, of course, already fan Twitter’s favorite new toy, and you can check it for yourself now on Amazon Prime Video.
