Gillie Da Kid Stunned After Wallo267 Gifts Him A New Bike

Gillie Da Kid has received a flurry of support following the recent death of his son. However, his cousin and co-host, Wallo267, decided to show his support in a unique way. The former rapper-turned-podcaster was gifted a luxury bike. While you can never measure love with gifts, Gillie seems to understand the thought behind it. A shocked expression appeared on Gillie’s face as Wallo handed him the paperwork and keys. It wasn’t until he pulled up to Wallo’s place that he realized the bike was for him.

As Gillie hilariously runs around and beams with excitement, Wallo chats with Meek Mill via phone, giving him a play-by-play of the touching moment. The former “Major Figgas” rapper shared the clip to his Instagram in a recent post. “Love u cuz @wallo267 I’m officially Bike Life @meekmill inducted me in. Watch Gillie n Wallo Adventures 2Nite 730,” he wrote in the post’s caption.

Gillie Da Kid’s Impact On The Philadelphia Hip-Hop Scene

There is a general debate on which city houses the greatest rap talents. As far as Nasir Fard, aka Gillie Da Kid is concerned, he’s Philly’s greatest rap export. With many prominent acts like Meek Mill, Lil Dicky, and Lil Uzi Vert calling Philly home, Gillie’s claim has ruffled several feathers. However, his confidence is not without merit. The self-acclaimed title comes from over two decades worth of his involvement in the Hip Hop scene.

Sadly, in July 2023, Gillie Da Kid’s son, YNG Cheese, was fatally shot in Philadelphia. YNG Cheese had begun to follow in his father’s footsteps and was making a name for himself in Philly’s burgeoning rap scene. Artists from across the globe gave condolences and supported Gillie through this tragedy. It has caused the rap veteran’s family and career to take center stage.

Gillie Da Kid & Major Figgas

Gillie rose to prominence as a founding member of the group Major Figgas. They rocked the Philly music scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The group’s notoriety surged after the release of their debut album, Figgas 4 Life. Major Figgas gained even more fame with the single “Yeah That’s Us,” a heavy hitter which peaked at the penultimate spot on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart. Several issues eventually led to their disbandment, and Gillie Da Kid sought a solo career after the group’s publishing rights with Universal ended.

Beef With Cash Money Records

Gillie eventually signed on to Cash Money Records, but that never materialized into any official single. The classic scenario of artist vs. label ensued in a tale as old as musical time. Over the years, he has openly rebuked the label’s boss, Birdman, as well as Lil Wayne over irregular financial compensation. The claim comes from Gillie insisting he is the ghostwriter behind several of Wayne’s songs. In 2020, he lambasted Birdman for allegedly exploiting artists on his podcast, Million Dollaz Worth of Game.

“All these n*ggas is fake b*tch-ass n*ggas! He robbed every n*gga he came in the game with!” he said. “Money ain’t got sh*t to do with being real! There’s a lot of fake-ass n*ggas with money. N*ggas is fake as a muthaf*cker. He done robbed every n*gga he came in the game with to get some money!”

Million Dollaz Worth of Game is run by Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267, also first cousins. Together, they educate the youth from Philly and across the country on music, culture, and more. The podcast has hosted stars like Nick Cannon, LL Cool J, J. Prince, Davido, Lil Baby, Remy Ma, Curren$y, and more.

What makes a king a king? His ability to look after the people in the kingdom. Gillie has taken his self-appointed title and brought it to life. His philanthropic acts speak volumes about his community leadership. He has gifted furniture, a car, and TV sets to his community members from brand partners. He has also presented cash gifts to women in need during the holidays. These are some of the few acts of kindness he has spread to his community. Importantly, this has earned him recognition from Philadelphia Councilman Johnson.

As a result, Gillie Da Kid was presented with the keys to the city for his contribution to businesses in the state. Indeed, he used to be a co-founding member of the group Major Figgas, and through his musical surge, Gillie Da Kid and his former group members helped to put Philly on rap’s map. However, his reputation has far exceeded his music, making him a hometown icon. So while the City of Brotherly Love houses many notable East Coast rappers and the title of “the best” is subjective, Gillie Da Kid’s impact is not up for debate.

Gillie Da Kid Slams American Airlines Over Canceled Flight: “They Treat You Like Sh*t”

Gillie Da Kid called out American Airlines in a lengthy rant on Instagram, Tuesday, after the cancelation of his flight plans left him stranded in Europe. The Milllion Dollaz Worth of Game host explained the situation while criticizing the airline in a video post. The company apparently gave his first-class tickets away after overbooking the flight and won’t be able to get him out of Madrid until Thursday.

“American Airlines, man, I’m an Executive Platinum member. Executive. Platinum. I fly three times a week man on American Airlines,” he began his video. “You know they oversold the flight and gave our tickets away, man? I was first class, man. Now they’re saying they ain’t got a flight back until Thursday.”

He continued: “American Airlines, is this how y’all treat your Executive Platinum members? I’m confused, man. I’m in Madrid and y’all gave my flights away. My first class flights away. What is it American Airlines? I’m confused. The people at the desk they treat you like shit. They tell you they can’t do nothing for you. What’s going on American Airlines? I’m an Executive Platinum Member. I think that’s the highest. I need to get the fuck out of here tomorrow.”

It’s not the first time that Gillie has torn into American Airlines for their treatment of him as a passenger. Back in 2022, he slammed the airline for allegedly racially profiling him before he could board a plane. “Plane full of white folks leaving Dallas and the only black man is ask[ed] does he have illegal narcotics in his bag,” Gillie wrote on Instagram. “U pick the wrong n***a today buddy @americanair.” He included a video of an officer singling him out on a flight while claiming that he smelled like drugs.

Drake Pays Tribute To Gillie Da Kid’s Son, Gillie Reacts

Drake is someone who has always been quick to speak out on topics within hip-hop culture. Although he may not be doing interviews with the big hip-hop podcasts, he still speaks on the culture in his own time. In fact, sometimes he will do this during his concerts. It’s always nice to see, especially when he paying tribute to someone, or simply giving them their flowers. On Monday night in Philadelphia, Drizzy decided to comment on the passing of YNG Cheese.

YNG Cheese was the son of popular media personality and artist Gillie Da Kid. Overall, this was an incredibly sad story that had the hip-hop world rallying behind the Philly native. In the video clip below, shared by Gillie, you can hear Drake’s positive words. “Before we get started, one of our friends, our brothers in this shit, lost his son the other day,” Drake said. “So I wanna dedicate this show tonight to Cheese. Y’all make some noise for Gillie and his son Cheese. Express some positivity!”

Gillie Da Kid’s Son, Who Was Also A Rapper, Was Reportedly Killed In A Philadelphia Shooting

Rapper turned podcaster Gillie Da Kid got the worst news today, as his son, who was also a rapper, was reportedly killed in a shooting in their native Philadelphia. According to Philly’s NBC affiliate, 25-year-old YNG Cheese was shot and killed in the Olney neighborhood at around 8:30 PM. He was shot once in the back, taken to the hospital by police, and pronounced dead just ten minutes later. Two other men — 28 and 31 — were also shot, and are reported in stable condition. Police are investigating but so far, no arrests have been made or weapons recovered.

Gillie Da Kid was a fixture on the city’s underground rap scene but rose to prominence over a feud with Lil Wayne in 2006 after claiming to have ghostwritten some of the New Orleans rapper’s songs. To this day, Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records deny his claims but the exposure was enough to help Gillie launch his rap career proper after years of independently releasing projects, both on his own and as a member of the Major Figgas crew.

Since the 2010s, he’s sporadically released new music or featured on other artists’ songs, but he recently gained more popularity as a host on the Million Dollaz Worth Of Game podcast, which finds him interviewing other rappers and entertainers from the perspective of an industry insider. In the most recent episode on YouTube, he interviews North Carolina rapper DaBaby alongside footage of his experiences playing pro-am basketball.

Joe Budden Trolls Gillie Da Kid & Wallo For Sharing Hotel Room

Joe Budden came at his podcast rivals Gillie Da Kid and Wallo for sharing a hotel room on the road. Budden reacted to a video of the two on social media during an episode of his podcast, earlier this week.

“I know n****s keep waiting on me to kill Gillie and Wallo for sharing a hotel room,” Budden began. “They posted it and they be in the same room.” He added: “Nah, they both in the bed. There’s nothing wrong. N****s can’t even say facts no more without it looking shady as hell.”

While many fans shared laughs in response to the bit, some defended the Million Dollaz Worth of Game co-hosts. When Akademiks shared the clip, former NFL receiver Torrey Smith wrote: “I do the same thing. If my wife isn’t there and just one of my boys, one room with two beds is straight.” Another fan commented: “N***a making it seem like they was in the bed together.”

It’s far from the first time Budden has clowned Gillie and Wallo. The two sides have been trading shots for years at this point. In 2021, they expressed interest in battling each other on an episode of Verzuz, although it didn’t come to fruition. More recently, Budden and Gillie went at one another on Twitter.

Gillie Da Kid Flexes His Corvette, Offers To Show Out With Wallo At DJ Envy’s Next Car Show

Car shows have been a hot topic of conversation in hip-hop as of late, with DJ Envy hosting his in honour of Young Dolph this past weekend, and Rick Ross planning his for this Saturday (June 3) at his Promise Land estate in Georgia. The two figures have been trading shots on social media over the past few days, with things becoming increasingly personal. Earlier today, MMG artist Gunplay even posted a video of him and Envy on the phone, at which time The Breakfast Club host attempted to apologize to him for the slander, though the rapper didn’t want to hear it.

By now, the New Yorker is accustomed to the hate, so it was certainly nice to see a positive response from Gillie Da Kid on Sunday (May 28). In an Instagram post, the media personality showed off his vintage 1974 Corvette, which he said he’d be more than happy to show off at Envy’s next car show. “Bring that baby back to life. Muthaf*cka was filthy. 1974 ya know what I mean? With that 383 Stroke in it. DJ Envy next time you have a car show let me know, man. Me and Wallo come f*ck your joint up. All original too,” Gillie said from behind the camera.

Gillie Da Kid Shows DJ Envy His Classic Corvette

While he wasn’t tagged in the video, Envy still got the message and dropped by the comments to share his thoughts. “I think it’s time…. Let’s do something in Philly,” the father of two wrote back. Seeing as Gillie and Ross have long-spanning beef it’s not surprising to see the former taking his competitor’s side in the car show face-off.

Elsewhere in the comments, the “Get Down On The Ground” artist received praise from both Curren$y and Lil Duval. The latter admitted that, while he’s not usually a fan of the specific model, he’s impressed with what GDK has done with his project. What are your thoughts on Gillie Da Kid’s 1974 Corvette? Joe Budden & Gillie Da Kid Trade Shots On Twitter

Joe Budden and Gillie Da Kid went back and forth on Twitter, Sunday night. After Gillie called him out for “beating on bitches,” Budden fired back by telling him to watch his mouth. Budden had recently trolled Gillie during an episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

“After the washed Up Rap career in and out all the rehabs all the beating on Bit$hes Now u Wanna Podcast Beef [laughing emojis], Gillie wrote on Twitter. “I’ll beef when u start getting sum Ad money.” Budden later quote-tweeted his post: “You selling ass out here for cheap… watch your mouth when you speak to or of me.”

Many fans trolled Gillie for the amount of ads he runs in response to the posts. One wrote: “The main difference between these podcast is that Joe can say whatever he wants, and the other guy can’t speak too much because he’s a sellout. I don’t want to watch a podcast that has 17 commercials I want to watch something real.” Another noted, “I can’t believe we have podcast beef lmao. This where we at now? Both getting money what’s the problem?”

Sunday isn’t the first time Gillie and Budden have shared animosity online. Back in 2021, Gillie challenged Budden to a rap battle. “You put me and Joe in a fucking rap battle, I’d sweep Joe fucking Budden under the fucking rug,” he said at the time. Budden said he’d be down for a Verzuz appearance, but didn’t expect it to happen. “Gillie, I will do a Verzuz with you, I will. Neither one of us are big enough to ever make it to the Verzuz stage, but I’m cool with that. We could do like a mixtape Verzuz. Leave all the major album joints out. We don’t need ‘Pump It Up’ versus ‘Yeah That’s Us.’ We don’t need it,” he said.
