Jamal Crawford Responds To Gillie Da Kid’s Ill-Advised Challenge

Recently, Gillie Da Kid came out and decided to challenge for NBA star Jamal Crawford to a one-on-one match. Overall, this was a ridiculous challenge to set forward. However, he did it anyway. “I bet you Jamal Crawford will not accept this challenge one-on-one,” Gillie said. “I will cook the shit [out of him]. Let me just say this, Jamal Crawford is gonna get his baskets — that’s what he do. He cook everybody. But guess who else going in the oven? Jamal fucking Crawford. He gotta guard me. I’m like Bubba Chuck. I know I’m a motherfucking liability on muthafucking defense, but I’m such a liability on offense that it don’t even fuckin matter.”

Crawford is someone who does spend some time on social media, and he saw what Gillie had to say. Subsequently, he decided to clap back by making it clear that he was down for the match. “Aye @gilliedakid, they slipped you something real serious huh? I don’t bother nobody, now you want ‘Jamal Wick Crawford’ to play 1’s with?! This will be worst than what the Hitman did to Martin. It’s on,” he wrote on his Twitter account.

Eventually, Wallo reached out to Crawford to clarify some things. However, Crawford reiterated that he is ready to battle. Moreover, he is willing to wager quite a bit of money here. The money will go to charity, which makes this situation a truly positive one for all sides. “That’s what family is for @wallo267 …But I’m about to do @gilliedaking worst than Hitman Hearns did to Martin,” Crawford reiterated. “Y’all got new money..50k going to winners charity! It’s on.”

Wallo Gets Emotional Reflecting On Telling Gillie Da Kid His Son Passed Away

During a recent episode of Million Dollaz Worth Of Game, Wallo and Gillie Da Kid found themselves both getting emotional discussing Gillie’s late son. Back in July, Gillie’s son YNG Cheese was tragically murdered. He was one of three shot in the incident though he was the only one to suffer fatal injuries. In the wake of the news much of the hip-hop world mourned the loss and poured out condolences for Gillie.

Now, with a few months having passed since the tragedy they addressed it on a new podcast episode. Gillie’s co-host Wallo gets emotional discussing the guilt he felt having to be the one to deliver the bad news. In the clip, he claims that it was “the worst thing I ever told anybody,” which is no surprise given the severity of what happened. While telling the story he stops repeatedly to discuss the responsibilities he felt in the situation and how they were made even more difficult by his emotions. Check out the entire discussion below.

Wallo And Gillie Da Kid Emotional Reflecting On YNG Cheese Passing

Recently, Wallo has made waves for his observations on hip hop at large. He posted a lengthy letter to the “rap game” earlier this month where he made some observations on the genre. He praised the innovation and transformation that it’s undergone in recent years. It was a refreshingly positive take on the genre when many others paint a less compelling picture.

One of those that expressed much less optimism in the genre was Juicy J. He made an Instagram post mourning the direction of rap music and the decline in sales the genre has experienced. Wallo responded to that post elaborating on his feelings that the style and direction of rap music were largely positive. What do you think of Wallo and Gillie’s emotional discussing of what happened after YNG Cheese was murdered? Let us know in the comment section below.

Gillie Da Kid Reacts To Birdman’s Clubhouse Comments: “I’m Bigger Than That Ni**a Right Now”

For some listeners, Birdman’s recent Clubhouse conversation with Wack 100 and other industry executives gave an insightful look at what’s happening in the industry at this time. Others, however, like Gille Da Kid, weren’t so impressed with what the Cash Money Records CEO had to say about him. If you didn’t tune in, Birdman spoke candidly about what transpired between him and the podcaster that led to their falling out, though he said he has no “ill feelings” toward Gillie. Despite the mostly positive message, the Million Dollaz Worth of Game host wasn’t having it.

“I’m bigger than Baby. Ain’t that [wild]?” the Philadelphia native said on Instagram Live earlier this week. “I’m bigger than that ni**a right now. I generate more money than that ni**a right now. I don’t wanna hear this s**t. Motherf**kers counting me out and I’m f**king bigger than you,” Gillie ranted, obviously in his feelings over what Birdman had to say about their past. “Shut up. Nobody give a f**k about you,” he publicly declared.

Later on during the same stream, Gillie couldn’t help but point out that the Louisana native kept quiet on the matter for an awful long time. “Birdman waited so long to say something man, I can’t even respond when you say something 25 years later,” he called out his former mentor. “You only respond because you don’t hear the roar of the crowd no more… I done called you a b**ch a** ni**a for 25 years. 25 years later you respond… I see the way you treated a real ni**a, rest in peace Killer Stone. You could’ve never treated me like that though. Talkin, ‘I ain’t like what.’ Why it took you 25 years to say that though?” he added with a laugh.

Besides addressing his fallout with Gillie Da Kid on Clubhouse, Birdman was also asked about his relationship with Rick Ross. Though the former played a pivotal role in Rozay’s initial come-up, they’re allegedly no longer in contact. Read what else Birdman had to say about the situation at the link below, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Gillie Da Kid Reflects On The Worst Part Of Losing His Son

Gillie Da Kid reflected on the worst part of losing his son during a candid interview with former NFL players Channing Crowder, Fred Taylor, and Ryan Clark on The Pivot Podcast. In doing so, he detailed what it was like washing his body.

“The worst time had to be when I had to wash his body. That was the worst, but it was also the best because I became a man that day,” he said as he began to cry. “I thought I was a f**king man, but I wasn’t… I thought I was a man because I did man s**t. I paid bills. I took care of my family. I took care of my sisters. I took care of my dad, my mom, and kids that’s not even my kids because they lost their dad.”

He continued: “When I washed my son’s body, it was a gift and a curse. It was a good thing and a bad thing because it was a very painful thing to see your son laying there cold and stiff, but I know I sent him off right.” Later, Gillie revealed that Freeway was by his side through the process and gave a shoutout to the Philadelphia rapper. “I want to thank Freeway from the bottom of my heart. You were there every step of the way with me, brother,” he said. “Washing my son’s body, the hardest s**t I ever had to do in my f**king life. I will always love you and respect you, brother, for life.”

Joe Budden Challenged To A Boxing Match By Gillie Da Kid

Recently Joe Budden stepped off of his own podcast set onto another popular show. He talked with Wallo and Gillie Da Kid of Million Dollaz Worth Of Game and ended up getting more than he bargained for. Gillie challenged Budden to a celebrity boxing match and unsurprisingly Budden had one question. “How much?” he responded which sparked an entire conversation about potential compensation for a theoretical fight. Gillie and Budden have had a long-running beef, though it’s very light hearted. The pair have exchanged barbs on Twitter in the past and had even more shots to take at one another during their podcast appearance.

In case fans thought they might be kidding about the fight, both men clarified that they were “dead f*cking serious.” ““I’m gonna go train, I’m gonna spar for two months, I’m gonna beat the f*cking leather off of you,” Gillie said to Joe Budden. “I’m gonna fold you up,” Budden responded. Fans on social media instantly began debating who would win if the fight ever actually came to fruition. The results were surprisingly divided with plenty of arguments made for each of them. Check out the entire podcast episode below.

Gillie Da Kid Wants To Fight Joe Budden

In recent weeks, Joe Budden has taken aim at rap labels who aren’t doing enough to appreciate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop. He initially responded to Ebro discussing new rappers that don’t have enough appreciation for the genre’s history. Budden reframed that and aimed it at the labels for not doing enough to celebrate the historic anniversary.

Budden found himself in hot water recently with his comments about Lizzo’s workplace harassment scandal. He downplayed the severity of the allegations and claimed that the actions she allegedly took against her own dancers are commonplace for celebrities. Who do you think would win in a celebrity boxing match between Gillie Da Kid and Joe Budden? Let us know in the comment section below.

Gillie Da Kid Stunned After Wallo267 Gifts Him A New Bike

Gillie Da Kid has received a flurry of support following the recent death of his son. However, his cousin and co-host, Wallo267, decided to show his support in a unique way. The former rapper-turned-podcaster was gifted a luxury bike. While you can never measure love with gifts, Gillie seems to understand the thought behind it. A shocked expression appeared on Gillie’s face as Wallo handed him the paperwork and keys. It wasn’t until he pulled up to Wallo’s place that he realized the bike was for him.

As Gillie hilariously runs around and beams with excitement, Wallo chats with Meek Mill via phone, giving him a play-by-play of the touching moment. The former “Major Figgas” rapper shared the clip to his Instagram in a recent post. “Love u cuz @wallo267 I’m officially Bike Life @meekmill inducted me in. Watch Gillie n Wallo Adventures 2Nite 730,” he wrote in the post’s caption.

Gillie Da Kid’s Impact On The Philadelphia Hip-Hop Scene

There is a general debate on which city houses the greatest rap talents. As far as Nasir Fard, aka Gillie Da Kid is concerned, he’s Philly’s greatest rap export. With many prominent acts like Meek Mill, Lil Dicky, and Lil Uzi Vert calling Philly home, Gillie’s claim has ruffled several feathers. However, his confidence is not without merit. The self-acclaimed title comes from over two decades worth of his involvement in the Hip Hop scene.

Sadly, in July 2023, Gillie Da Kid’s son, YNG Cheese, was fatally shot in Philadelphia. YNG Cheese had begun to follow in his father’s footsteps and was making a name for himself in Philly’s burgeoning rap scene. Artists from across the globe gave condolences and supported Gillie through this tragedy. It has caused the rap veteran’s family and career to take center stage.

Gillie Da Kid & Major Figgas

Gillie rose to prominence as a founding member of the group Major Figgas. They rocked the Philly music scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The group’s notoriety surged after the release of their debut album, Figgas 4 Life. Major Figgas gained even more fame with the single “Yeah That’s Us,” a heavy hitter which peaked at the penultimate spot on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs chart. Several issues eventually led to their disbandment, and Gillie Da Kid sought a solo career after the group’s publishing rights with Universal ended.

Beef With Cash Money Records

Gillie eventually signed on to Cash Money Records, but that never materialized into any official single. The classic scenario of artist vs. label ensued in a tale as old as musical time. Over the years, he has openly rebuked the label’s boss, Birdman, as well as Lil Wayne over irregular financial compensation. The claim comes from Gillie insisting he is the ghostwriter behind several of Wayne’s songs. In 2020, he lambasted Birdman for allegedly exploiting artists on his podcast, Million Dollaz Worth of Game.

“All these n*ggas is fake b*tch-ass n*ggas! He robbed every n*gga he came in the game with!” he said. “Money ain’t got sh*t to do with being real! There’s a lot of fake-ass n*ggas with money. N*ggas is fake as a muthaf*cker. He done robbed every n*gga he came in the game with to get some money!”

Million Dollaz Worth of Game is run by Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267, also first cousins. Together, they educate the youth from Philly and across the country on music, culture, and more. The podcast has hosted stars like Nick Cannon, LL Cool J, J. Prince, Davido, Lil Baby, Remy Ma, Curren$y, and more.

What makes a king a king? His ability to look after the people in the kingdom. Gillie has taken his self-appointed title and brought it to life. His philanthropic acts speak volumes about his community leadership. He has gifted furniture, a car, and TV sets to his community members from brand partners. He has also presented cash gifts to women in need during the holidays. These are some of the few acts of kindness he has spread to his community. Importantly, this has earned him recognition from Philadelphia Councilman Johnson.

As a result, Gillie Da Kid was presented with the keys to the city for his contribution to businesses in the state. Indeed, he used to be a co-founding member of the group Major Figgas, and through his musical surge, Gillie Da Kid and his former group members helped to put Philly on rap’s map. However, his reputation has far exceeded his music, making him a hometown icon. So while the City of Brotherly Love houses many notable East Coast rappers and the title of “the best” is subjective, Gillie Da Kid’s impact is not up for debate.

Gillie Da Kid Slams American Airlines Over Canceled Flight: “They Treat You Like Sh*t”

Gillie Da Kid called out American Airlines in a lengthy rant on Instagram, Tuesday, after the cancelation of his flight plans left him stranded in Europe. The Milllion Dollaz Worth of Game host explained the situation while criticizing the airline in a video post. The company apparently gave his first-class tickets away after overbooking the flight and won’t be able to get him out of Madrid until Thursday.

“American Airlines, man, I’m an Executive Platinum member. Executive. Platinum. I fly three times a week man on American Airlines,” he began his video. “You know they oversold the flight and gave our tickets away, man? I was first class, man. Now they’re saying they ain’t got a flight back until Thursday.”

It’s not the first time that Gillie has torn into American Airlines for their treatment of him as a passenger. Back in 2022, he slammed the airline for allegedly racially profiling him before he could board a plane. “Plane full of white folks leaving Dallas and the only black man is ask[ed] does he have illegal narcotics in his bag,” Gillie wrote on Instagram. “U pick the wrong n***a today buddy @americanair.” He included a video of an officer singling him out on a flight while claiming that he smelled like drugs.
