Stephen Jackson Explains Heated Confrontation At Gervonta Davis Fight

Before Gervonta Davis took on Hector Garcia, there was a bit of a spat in the audience. Tank reigned victorious in the anticipated bout, but ahead of the fight, footage of an altercation involving Wallo, Meek Mill, Gary Russell Jr., and Stephen Jackson made the rounds on social media. This week, Jackson also explains his participation, revealing that he was trying to protect his wife from people pushing in the crowd.

“Some clarity for y’all. A lot of people that wish they was in my shoes had alot to say. Full of hate,” the former NBA star wrote on Instagram.

Jackson also shared a video of the incident where he’s seen yelling at people to back away from his area. Things looked serious when he tucked in his chains. It seemed that the crowd was getting a little too close, and his wife was pushed.

“I hope this video makes u feel even worst than u already do. I protect me and mine,” he further added. “My wife is my priority. All that other sh*t for the birds. When u tell another grown man to watch his mouth a incident is going to happen. Give respect to get it. S/O @jefe @wallo267 @gilliedaking.”

Meanwhile, the verbal scuffle involving Meek reportedly stemmed from Davis’s rival, Gary Russell Jr. The latter was unsurprisingly betting against Tank, and after exchanging a few words, reports state a few shoves were given.

Wallo stepped in to calm the chaos and is also seen in videos doing his best to keep the peace. After the run-in with Russell Jr., Meek and his crew were said to have been escorted out of the arena.

Meek Mill August 11 2022 1

On Saturday, January 7th, Gervonta Davis fought Hector Garcia to defend his WBA lightweight title. Halfway during the 8th round, a ringside altercation between Meek Mill and pro-fighter Garry Russell Jr. caught the attention of both fighters, causing the fight to stop for a brief moment.

Meek and Garry were escorted out of the arena, and Meek would later take to Twitter to say that he and the pro fighter almost got into a fight, and apologized for the incident.

“Congratulations tankkk!!!,” he wrote referring to Gervonta Davis. “I almost fought a boxer telling him this fight not going 12 rounds I missed the big bomb!!!!”

In a string of other tweets, Meek continued sharing his side of the story, saying that he would “never let no petty shit escalate,” and saying that the blogs put up the video of the altercation of him reacting aggressively to Garry Russell Jr., saying something aggressive to him.

“I would never let no petty shit escalate to let somebody movie run …. I just walked away .. I came to support tank and boots!!!!!! Good wins,” Meek tweeted.

“I was nice to everybody at that fight if you was there you saw! The blogs gone put up the aggressive part after I respond to something aggressive … everybody in that section seen my level of respect towards others… i just gotta step my response game up!”

He then apologized for his actions, which he called “wasting time for nothing.”

“I have no business going back and forth that hard with a random person and we just talking about sports…so my apologies for wasting time for nothing! I had a few shots I know how to dodge those! Congrats Tank and boots!!!”

Despite the disruption, Gervonta would go on to win the fight in a 9th-round TKO, after Garcia’s side said that he would not be continuing the fight. Garcia said he got hit so hard he couldn’t see.

Meek Mill & Gary Russell Jr Nearly Get Into Fight

Saturday (January 7) was an eventful night in the boxing world. An entertaining fight card, with undefeated Gervonta Davis fighting in the main event, took place in Washington, D.C.

Although, there was some commotion occurring within the crowd during the main event as well. Meek Mill was in attendance to support his friend, “Tank” Davis. Former WBC featherweight Gary Russell Jr was also there, sitting close to the Philadelphia rapper.

However, Russell was there in order to show support for Davis’ opponent, Hector Luis Garcia. Davis and the former champion have formerly beefed. As a result, it seems as though the “Dreams and Nightmares” rapper and Russell are responsible for firing off some choice words for each other.

The two, along with their crews, subsequently stirred up an altercation. In the footage, the pair of attendees’ can be seen shoving each other and yelling at one another. One of the referees even had to pause the fight in the ring in order to address the commotion in the crowd. Thankfully, it didn’t escalate beyond a shoving and yelling match.

Meek has since taken to his Twitter account to defend himself. “I would never let no petty sh*t escalate to let somebody movie run …. I just walked away ..” says the Philadelphia native. He says, “I came to support tank and boots!!!!!! Good wins.”

“I was nice to everybody at that fight if you was there you saw! The blogs gone put up the aggressive part after I respond to something aggressive … everybody in that section seen my level of respect towards others… i just gotta step my response game up!” he continues afterwards.

Furthermore, Davis improves to 28-0, including 26 KOs, with the win. Do you think Meek could take Russell Jr in a fight? Comment your thoughts below. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates.

Woman States She Made ‘Unnecessary’ Phone Call to Police as Gervonta Davis Did Not Assault Her

barclays fight gervonta davis

The woman who called the police on Gervonta Davis in a domestic dispute stated last week that Davis “did not harm me or our daughter.” Taking to Instagram, the woman wrote she “made an unnecessary call to law enforcement in an intense moment while I was frantic.”

“These past few days have been hurtful and extremely exhausting for all parties involved,” the woman wrote in her statement, according to ESPN. “I pride myself on being extremely private; this situation was the last thing I wanted to be made public. The state of our relationship has been in a fragile space and Gervonta and I were both at fault for the argument.

“While the emotions were running high I made an unnecessary call to law enforcement in an intense moment while I was frantic. Gervonta did not harm me or our daughter. Today, we have sought the help necessary to move forward with our lives. I am confident that we will succeed within our co-parenting dynamic with the counseling provided to us.”

Davis was arrested Tuesday (Dec. 27) in Parkland, FL, and charged with misdemeanor domestic violence causing bodily harm. He was released Wednesday (Dec. 28) afternoon after posting a $1,000 bail.

In the released audio of the 911 call, the woman can be heard saying, “He’s going to kill me,” while also alerting officers that she has a baby in the car. The woman does not live with Davis, and the original report stated she suffered an abrasion.

Davis would hit Instagram with a statement, which has now been deleted.

“I NEVER PUT MY HANDS ON MY CHILD MOTHER NOR MY F—ING DAUGHTER ARE YOU F—ING CRAZY!!” Davis wrote. “IM NOT A MONSTER I BEEN QUIET FOR TOO LONG. … THAT’S THE ONLY REASON I’M DOING THIS NOW! JUST TO CLEAR MY NAME!”

Davis will headline this weekend’s PBC event on Showtime, taking on Hector Luis Garcia in Washington, D.C.

Gervonta Davis Accuser Takes Back Allegations

Gervonta Davis was accused of domestic violence just a few days ago. As we reported, Davis had been taken to a jail in Broward County on suspicion of domestic violence. Davis was subsequently charged with the alleged crime, and many were seeking answers.

Immediately after this went down, Davis was let go on bail. He eventually went home and attempted to clear his name. For instance, he spoke about how he would never put his hands on the mother of his children. Davis was very adamant about this, and overall, he was able to gain support from his fans.

Gervonta Davis To Seek Counseling

According to an Instagram story from Gervonta Davis’ baby mother Vanessa Posso, he never actually hurt anyone. Posso claims she made the call to the police during a heated verbal altercation. Needless to say, it seems as though Davis is innocent in all of this. However, it still remains to be seen what will happen with the charges.

Furthermore, Posso has stated that she and Davis will now be seeking counseling so they can properly co-parent their child. Overall, they don’t want to continue fighting like this as there is clearly some toxicity present. Hopefully, they are able to resolve this peacefully.

In addition to all of this, we reported yesterday on how Posso allegedly put feces on Davis’ toothbrushes. This was an incredibly disgusting act, and if true, is certainly a red flag. Davis appeared to be quite shaken up about this, just as any person would be.

This remains a developing story, so stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest news and updates from around the boxing world. Additionally, let us know what you think of all of this, in the comments below.

Gervonta Davis Claims His Accuser Put Poop On His Toothbrush

Just yesterday, we reported on how Gervonta Davis was arrested for alleged domestic violence. According to reports and accusations, Davis slapped a woman across the face which led to facial injuries. Additionally, there was a 911 call that made its way online, and it is fairly disturbing.

While at the jail in Broward County, Davis was hit with a charge of battery domestic violence. After a few hours, Davis was subsequently released from prison. It was an overall bad look for the boxing star who has been arrested for roughing up women in the past.

Gervonta Davis Responds

Following his release, Gervonta Davis went home and immediately sought to clear his name. As you will see in the Instagram post below, he explained how he is not capable of such aggression.

“DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE MISGUIDE YOU ALL ON THIS BULLSH*T…THIS WAS JUSY YESTERDAY MOMENTS BEFORE ME AND MY CHILD MOTHER HAD ARGUMENT! WATCHING FROZEN WITH MY OLDEST DAUGHTER ..I NEVER PUT MY HANDS ON MY MOTHER NOR MY [redacted] DAUGHTER ARE YOU F***ING CRAZY!!” Davis wrote.

“IM NOT A MONSTER I BEEN QUIET FOR TOO LONG,” Davis added. “I DONT HAVE MEDIA TEAM, PR, GOOD LAWYER…spokesman nothing off that.. THATS THE ONLY REASON IM DOING THIS NOW! JUST TO CLEAR MY NAME!”

Additionally, Davis has alleged that his accuser put baby poop on his toothbrushes. In the post from The Shade Room below, you can see what appears to be feces on three toothbrushes. It remains to be seen if it was his accuser who actually did this.

Clearly, Davis is upset with the arrest and the allegations that have been brought his way. Overall, this is still very much a developing story, and the legal system will ultimately determine what happened here.

Shortly after Davis was taken into custody, several outlets released audio of the 911 call leading up to his arrest. In it, a woman reportedly expressed concerns for her safety and life, saying on the call, “Please help me. I need help, please! I’m trying to go home, I have a baby in the car and he attacked me in front of the kid … He’s going to kill me.”

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time that the boxing champion has been arrested for domestic violence. According to TMZ, he was given a “simple battery/domestic violence” charge in 2020. Davis had assaulted a woman at a public basketball game, with some of the attack caught on video.

He is expected to fight Hector Luis Garcia on Saturday, January 7. It’s unclear if his legal troubles will impact the highly-anticipated event.

However, several outlets reported that an unnamed woman told police that Davis struck her on the right side of her head with a “closed hand type slap.” The alleged victim reportedly does not cohabitate with Davis. ESPN stated she “suffered a small abrasion to the inside of her upper lip on the right side of her mouth.”

Gervonta Davis Reportedly Slapped & Injured A Woman

Gervonta Davis was arrested and hit with a domestic violence battery charge last night in Broward County, Florida. As we reported just a few hours ago, this is very poor timing for the boxing star as he has a match on January 7th. This fight is slated to be against Hector Luis Garcia.

Subsequently, Davis has plans to fight Ryan Garcia later this year. However, none of that is actually going to happen if Davis faces harsh consequences for his alleged actions. According to TMZ, the altercation that led to his arrest was a very serious one.

Gervonta Davis Accusations

In files from Florida police, it was revealed that Davis struck a woman in the face. He reportedly closed his fist and slapped the woman across the face. This led to an injury on the inside of her upper lip. As TMZ notes, this all took place yesterday afternoon in Parkland.

Following the altercation, the woman left the residence and called the police. Consequently, this led to Davis’ arrest. For now, Davis is still behind bars, although it is unknown if and when he will post bail. Needless to say, this is just an unfortunate situation all around.
