French Montana and Harry Fraud are giving another tease to their new collaborative album, Montega, with “Bricks & Bags,” featuring Jadakiss and Benny The Butcher, the last single to be released before the album’s official release date.

“For ‘Bricks and Bags’ me and Fraud wanted to bring together two artists that, to me represent that impeccable Cokeboy sound” French commented. “Jadakiss gave me one of my first major co-signs when we did “New York Minute” in 2009.  Benny continues to show why he is one of the best artists to emerge out of the East Coast in the past few years.”

“On ‘Bricks and Bags’ me and French wanted to create a record that brought us back to that grimy New York Era that shaped our youth” Harry Fraud asserted. “A hard-hitting beat with two of the deadliest lyricists in the game. Steel sharpens steel and this song personifies that.”

Montega will drop on Friday, but you can hear “Bricks & Bags” below.

French Montana, Jadakiss, And Benny The Butcher Walk Through With ‘Bricks & Bags’ On Their New Collab

In just a few days, French Montana will release his fifth album Montega, an effort that is produced entirely by Harry Fraud. The project will arrive just seven months after French released his fourth album They Got Amnesia, a 21-track effort that featured appearances from Rick Ross, Kodak Black, Pop Smoke, Lil Durk, Doja Cat, Saweetie, Fivio Foreign, Ty Dolla Sign, Moneybagg Yo, and many more. Before Montega, French and Harry decided to drop off one more single, this one being “Bricks & Bags” with Jadakiss and Benny The Butcher.

The new record is carried by a hook that Jadakiss and Benny repeat throughout the song, as they rap, “I should’ve signed to Coke Boys, but I was selling dope, boy.” Together, Benny, French, and Jadakiss deliver sharp verses on the song in that order as they all rap with confidence over the Harry Fraud-produced beat.

“Bricks & Bags” follows “Blue Chills” which French released last week. The release is one of four singles from Montega as French previously shared “Drive By” with Babyface Ray and “Alcatraz.”

Montega is out 6/24 via Epic Records. You can pre-order it here.

French Montana Raps All Over New York City In His New ‘Blue Chills’ Video

Ahead of his upcoming album Montega, produced by Harry Fraud, French Montana has dropped a new video for “Blue Chills.” In the video, Montana is seen in various parts of New York City, including rapping from a rooftop and grabbing bites at a bodega.

Lyrically, the song features Montana addressing his haters and critics, some of which seem to come from within his own circle.

“The grеatest threat is always from the inside / Yessir, they put staples in my head, b*tch, they been tried / Killers wanna bag me or come see me in that dayroom / Shorty wanna rag me and throw me up on Shade Room,” he raps over the Fraud-produced track.

Fraud has worked with Montana on various projects since his mixtape days in the late aughts and early 2010s. In a recent interview with Connected With Wayno, Montana recalled his mixtape days pleasantly, however, he says the songs fans prefer aren’t what he considers his best work.

“Some people, when I dimmed it down, I sold more records,” he said, “and I’m competing in a numbers game. If I could put up numbers, why wouldn’t I put numbers, and I can still do the rap.”
