Kodak Black Admits He Doesn’t Like “No Flockin,” & Freestyles On “Drink Champs”

Kodak Black says that he doesn’t like his hit single, “No Flockin,” and that he originally just made the track to troll his friends. He reflected on the making of the song during a recent interview, as shared on Instagram by DJ Akademiks.

“‘No Flockin,’ to tell you the truth, I really don’t like that song,” Kodak admitted. “I really don’t. I was really just saying anything because, you know, people was like smoking flocka at that time. So it was like I was making fun of like my homeboys who started smoking that, my uncle smoking that, lotta people smoking that. I was just clowning them. But it went viral.”

Some fans understood where he was coming from despite the popularity of the song. One commented: “Makes sense he made it as a joke type thing and it popped off beat was ill and flow was what really made it didn’t even know flockin meant doin drugs.” Another noted that Cardi B famously sampled the song on her own track, “Bodak Yellow.” “That song made Cardi B whole career,” one wrote. “He want y’all to compare this to the Drink Champs appearance,” another fan wrote, referencing his recent interview on the podcast.

During that Drink Champs interview, Kodak sparked health concerns from fans due to his jumbled speech. “He needs help NOW!!!!!!! Omg this just broke my heart! How on earth can people be around him and watch him fall apart like this and not have him in rehab or something,” one fan online wrote. Others complained about N.O.R.E. even publishing the interview. Jim Jones, Dyce Payso, And Keen Streetz Lay Down Bars Over “SHAQ & KOBE” Beat

New York MC and label head of B.G. Touring, Inc & Entertainment, Jim Jones is on a little run right now. Just last weekend, the veteran put out his second album of the year with Jim Jones Presents Byrdgang 2.0. What was interesting about this release was that it was another collaborative record of sorts. While his previous effort Back In My Prime was like that too, his latest one puts on tons of underground talent. Some of the most frequent names included Dyce Payso and Keen Streetz. Those two lyricists join Jones once again with a new freestyle.

Currently, it is only available on YouTube. The title of the song may sound familiar to you and you would be right in that assumption. That is because this is a remix of sorts of Meek Mill’s and Rick Ross’ recent collaborative track. Unlike the two MMG artists, this version of “SHAQ & KOBE” does not seem like it will appear on any upcoming record.

Fans in the comments section under the accompanying music video are seeming to enjoy it. NLE Choppa Teases New Project, Drops Fresh Freestyle

NLE Choppa found himself at the center of a bit of controversy this weekend. Overall, it all started when a family member reported him to be missing. However, he eventually came out and revealed that he just took a bit of time for himself. “I appreciate ya’ll showing concern but the missing narrative isn’t cool, especially knowing that people really do go missing everyday,” he wrote on social media. “I took a little time to myself to get back to my roots, but trust I’m all good. Apologies to anyone that was worried. We don’t run from battles, we take em chin up. IM BACK.”

Of course, it was great to hear that Choppa was doing okay. Whenever someone goes missing, there is a lot of panic that begins to set in. However, fans were immediately put at ease once it was revealed that he was doing just fine. Now, the artist is looking to get back on track. For instance, recently, he announced that he would be dropping a new project. An EP in on the way this Friday, which is great news for his fans.

Furthermore, today, the artist dropped a “C’mon Freestyle.” This was part of the From The Block Performance series. As you can see in the clip below, Choppa absolutely smoked his freestyle. The production was absolutely nutty, and his flows were steady throughout. Additionally, he sounded hungry with his bars, and it was great to see. If this is any indication of his new EP, then fans are most certainly in for a treat.

Tobe Nwigwe Pays Homage To Pharrell’s Fashion Show With “MILANO FREESTYLE”

Texas artist and rapper Tobe Nwigwe has been a part of a lot of big events lately. The most recent one was around early August. NBA superstar point guard Stephen Curry put out a documentary on Apple TV called Steph Curry: Underrated. It shows how far the greatest shooter ever has come from the beginning of his basketball journey. Tobe was asked to make a song for the documentary. “Lil Fish, Big Pond” was the result of that and he continued to make more soundtrack songs.

Just a few months before that in May, Tobe and one of the greatest ever to do it, Nas, got together for a blockbuster. The Transformers series got its latest installment, Rise of the Beasts and both brought some extra magic to the film. However, maybe Tobe’s most proud moment might have come in September when he performed for his good pal Pharrell at the Milan fashion show for his Moncler line. KayCyy Drops Smooth New Track “Laugh When U Cry”

KayCyy is an artist who has been grinding for a minute now. However, for a lot of people, he is the man behind a lot of the updates surrounding DONDA. He was a major part of the album’s creative process. The artist was in the Mercedes Benz Stadium as Kanye West cooked up the project. In the end, he was on the hook to “Keep My Spirit Alive” which is a beautiful song. Overall, it proved to be a career-defining move for him as he is now getting some incredible looks.

Earlier this year, KayCyy dropped off a short EP with producer Gesaffelstein. It was a huge endeavor that showcased the artist’s range as a singer. Furthermore, he even got to work with Travis Scott on the song “Thank God.” Unfortunately, he was not credited on the track on streaming services, which led to a bit of an uproar. Regardless, he’s still going strong, and on Friday, he dropped off a “Shanghai Freestyle,” called “Laugh When U Cry.”

KayCyy Returns

Overall, this new freestyle is filled with some fantastic vocal samples. The soulful beat sounds amazing, and you can tell that KayCyy had fun doing his thing over this. Typically, we hear the artist singing but here he chose to rap and it was a nice choice. It is a sound that fans are going to like and we hope to hear him do stuff like this a bit more often.

Drake’s 6-Year-Old Son Adonis Drops “My Man” Freestyle

Earlier this month, Drake unveiled his eagerly-awaited new album, For All The Dogs. After plenty of teasing, fans couldn’t wait to hear what the Canadian hitmaker had in store for them, and for the most part, haven’t been disappointed. To give fans a taste of what was to come, Drake dropped off his track “8AM In Charlotte,” the day before his new album was slated for release.

The lively video features Drake’s 6-year-old son Adonis, who the rapper shares with Toronto-based artist Sophie Brussaux. Adonis is also the mastermind behind the project’s cover art, breaking down the significance behind it at the start of the video. According to him, the creature on the album is actually a “daddy goat” which represents his father.

Drake’s Son Spits Bars

The cover art and music video appearance weren’t Adonis’ only contributions to his dad’s new album, however. The 6-year-old also grabbed fans’ attention for his feature on the track “Daylight,” where he delivers a laid-back freestyle. Listeners couldn’t get enough of his adorable bars. Luckily for them, the elementary schooler has dropped off the full freestyle, “My Man,” alongside an accompanying music video. In the video, Adonis is seen tearing it up on the court with some friends and showing off his moves.

Adonis’ freestyle isn’t the only way Drake celebrated his son’s sixth birthday, either. Last week, he brought the whole family together, sharing a photo of Adonis surrounded by his parents and grandparents. Brussaux also shared some photos of her son at various stages in his life on Instagram alongside a sweet caption. “Happy birthday to my favorite human that I co-created 6 years ago already.. god bless you my son,” she wrote. Offset Goes All Out With His Funk Flex Freestyle: Watch

Offset has been everywhere in terms of the media. Firstly, we got to see him on Kai Cenat’s stream which lasted a full 24 hours. During that stream, Offset was being threatened by Kenneth Petty and his friends. However, he came out of all of it unscathed and even went to Colorado to see the Buffaloes play. Since that time, he has done interviews with Bobbi Althoff, Ebro, and even The Breakfast Club. For instance, on The Breakfast Club, he got to address much of the drama that has surrounded him, including his relationship with Quavo.

This has proven to be great therapy for Offset. He can finally articulate some of the things that have been on his mind for months. Moreover, he is also doing this because he has an album coming out. Set It Off is dropping this Friday, and fans are very excited about it. Overall, this is promising to be an amazing album. During his album listening party a few weeks ago, he got a ton of praise. Now, fans across the board will get to experience it. As for his media appearances, he also dropped by Funk Flex to drop a freestyle.

Offset Brings The Energy

As you can imagine, the artist brought a ton of energy to the freestyle. He sounds as hungry as ever, and he did a good job of rapping over a challenging DaBaby beat. Not to mention, Funk Flex seemed to be pretty impressed with what he was hearing. Flex is always hyping up his guests, but this is one of those instances where it was very much well-deserved.
