Drake Wishes Lil Yachty Happy Birthday In Heartfelt New Video

Drake and Lil Yachty’s long-running friendship is no secret. The former often finds himself getting trolled on social media by the latter for anything he posts. That comes up early in a new birthday message Drizzy recorded for Lil Boat. “He’s gonna f*cking flame whatever pic I choose,” the “Search & Rescue” rapper says early in his message. But from there the tone gets more genuine and serious as he wishes Yachty a happy birthday. He goes on to express regret that he can’t be with him today, but promises that the pair will be together turning up very soon. It’s another charming chapter in one of the most hilarious hip-hop friendships around right now.

This isn’t the only birthday message Drake has made recently. Just last night he paused his show at LA’s Crypto.com Arena to pay tribute to someone the crowd was no doubt familiar with.  “I’mma hold this up ’cause we got to show love to Kobe one time. Y’all make some noise for Kobe at this time,” he said during a break in the show. The late Kobe Bryant would have been 45 years old today. It’s been three years since Kobe and his daughter Gianna tragically died in a helicopter accident.

Lil Yachty Tweets & Deletes About Drake’s “For All The Dogs” Rumors

Lil Yachty recently hopped on Twitter/X to speak on Drake’s upcoming album, For All The Dogs. The Canadian performer has been teasing the new record for some time, and based on reports, it should be arriving soon. As expected, there’s been a ton of chatter online about Drake’s latest offering. With that being said, Yachty seems to have noticed some inconsistencies, and he aired his thoughts to his followers. “Haven’t seen a factual piece of info on For All The Dogs yet lol,” the rapper wrote in the since-deleted Tweet.

Though Drake has yet to formally announce the release date of For All The Dogs, Apple Music seemingly confirmed the date earlier this week. According to them, it’ll drop on August 25. It’s unclear whether or not the reveal was intentional, but many fans speculate that it was not. He’s vaguely hinted at the release time frame at various tour stops, but never took the opportunity to announce the actual date.

Lil Yachty Speaks About Misinformation On For All The Dogs

It is clear that Drake’s been inching towards the drop, however, as he just recently unveiled the album’s cover art. The cover of For All The Dogs is a simple sketch of a dog by the performer’s 5-year-old son, Adonis. Fans are eager to see how the imagery relates to the record sonically. Some have suggested that it could symbolize him revisiting the “old Drake,” which he’s hinted at previously. “I’m tired of everybody coming up to me, [saying] ‘man… we miss that old Drake man. We need that old Drake man,’” he said in July. “Imma give it to you then.”

So far, listeners know to expect features from Bad Bunny and Nicki Minaj on the new project. Some other rumored features, however, have recently been debunked. Earlier this week, Zane Lowe shut down speculation that Frank Ocean would make an appearance on For All The Dogs, much to fans’ disappointment. Keep an eye on HNHH for more updates on Drake and For All The Dogs.

A Rumored Drake And Frank Ocean Collaboration Connected To Zane Lowe Was Ultimately Denied By The Radio Host

Yesterday (August 21), Drake unveiled the official cover art for his forthcoming solo album, For All The Dogs. Another update came out today about the upcoming project. Although the initial post was taken down, Amazon Music’s official X (formerly Twitter) suggested that the body of work was slated to drop this Friday (August 25).

Rumors have continued to flood social media about what listeners should expect from the album, and somehow Apple Music’s Zane Lowe found himself wrapped up in a major one. According to the outlet Upcoming 100, Lowe hinted that Drake and Frank Ocean were working on a collaboration.

However, the journalist denied that he ever said such a thing. During an exchange with a user in a now-deleted post, Lowe shot down the claim, writing, “Never happened. I haven’t even been live on the radio for the last two weeks. Completely false [shrugging emoji].”

Not including the album’s cover art, the last major update Drake shared regarding For All The Dogs was around the release of his poetry book in June. “I made an album to go with the book. They say they miss the old Drake girl; don’t tempt me. For all the dogs,” the rapper wrote in a post promoting his literary work.

Zane Lowe Shoots Down Rumor About Frank Ocean Being On Drake’s “For All The Dogs”

Zane Lowe has shot down the rumor circulating that he hinted about Frank Ocean making an appearance on Drake’s For All The Dogs. Lowe addressed the reports in a post on Twitter, Tuesday afternoon.

“100% untrue. Never said it,” Lowe wrote in response to a viral tweet sharing the misinformation. “Haven’t even been on radio for the last two weeks.” In the since-deleted report, a user falsely quoted Lowe as saying that one guest contribution on For All The Dogs is “industry-shaking, never-done-before,” and the “feature of dreams.” They also said that Lowe hinted at it being Frank Ocean by not-so-subtly playing the Blonde track, “Nikes,” afterward.

As for official information on Drake’s For All The Dogs, he recently revealed the cover artwork, which was done by his son, Adonis. Drake has yet to confirm a release date for the project, but Amazon Music seems to have accidentally leaked that it will be dropping on Friday. Responding to the new cover art, the platform’s Twitter account wrote: “Drizzy’s son has a future as a cover artist. new @drake august 25th!!” Check out Zane Lowe’s tweet about the project below.

Zane Lowe Shuts Down Rumors

As for word from Drake himself, he noted that For All The Dogs is just “weeks” away during a concert in July. He told the audience in New York City: “Make new friends. If you drink, drink some liquor. If you smoke, smoke some weed. And if you like somebody, like my dad says, keep f*cking. I will be back soon. I have an album dropping for you in, like, two weeks or some sh*t. But until then, just know, you’re always with me and I’m always thinking of you. Everything I do is for you. Every time I step in that booth, I hope I make you proud.”

Amazon Music Confirms Drake’s “For All The Dogs” Release Date

Drake will officially be releasing his next studio album, For All The Dogs, on Friday, August 25. Amazon Music confirmed the news in a post on social media, Tuesday. It’s unclear whether Amazon intended to reveal the date now, as Drake has still yet to announce it anywhere.

Replying to a post from OVO Sound sharing the cover artwork for the album, Amazon Music’s Twitter account wrote: “Drizzy’s son has a future as a cover artist. new @drake august 25th!!” Fans on the platform quickly assumed the post was a mistake on Amazon Music’s part. “Stg if drake postpones this album bc yall dropped this date Alexa’s gonna get it,” one replied. “Amazon of all people leaking the date is hilarious,” another wrote.

Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ Album Release Date Was Revealed Thanks To Amazon Music

Last night (August 21), Drake came through with the adorable cover art for his new album, For All The Dogs, which features an illustration (of a dog, it would seem) by his son Adonis. He hasn’t yet revealed the official release date, but now it appears Amazon Music has let the cat (or dog?) out of the bag.

The streaming platform wrote in a tweet today, “drizzy’s son has a future as a cover artist. new @drake august 25th!!”

The release date is in accordance with the timeline Drake established at a July 26 concert, when he told the audience, “Make new friends.

In other It’s All A Blur Tour news, it was reported recently that so far, the tour is pulling in about $4.5 million in revenue per show.

Drake “For All The Dogs” Cover: Twitter Reacts To Adonis’ Artwork

It looks like Drake’s new album will finally be arriving in the near future. After nearly two months of teasers, each week feels as though we’re getting closer to its release. The rapper’s hinted at dropping the project since launching the It’s All A Blur tour earlier this summer. However, week after week, it’s felt as though fans have expected the project to arrive. Despite the updates over the past few weeks, there have been a number of delays but last week, Drake revealed that he listened to the project for the first time from start to finish.

Fortunately, the album seems like it might be dropping in the imminent future. As fans speculate that it’s due out by the end of this week, Drake shared the official cover art for the project, courtesy of his son Adonis. It’s a simple yet effective drawing that shows a doodle of a dog with ruby-red eyes. Perhaps, it’s not what fans expected for the project’s cover art. However, this is Drake, the same guy who used a grid of pregnant emojis of different skin tones for the Certified Lover Boy artwork.

Adonis’ Talents Shine

It’s clear that Adonis gets his artistic skills from his mother but perhaps, we might hear him deliver bars on For All The Dogs. Still, it received a mixed response online. Some fans praised Drake for involving his child in his next album while others, largely haters, criticized a 5-year-old’s drawing ability. “drake drew that and didn’t want to admit it,” one fan wrote. Nonetheless, the cover art itself drew plenty of attention online and elevated the excitement among fans who’ve waited all summer for the album.

We’ve yet to receive much information on the project with the exception of a few updates over the past two months. Drake confirmed that Nicki Minaj would appear on the project. Considering his friendship with Lil Yachty, it would seem safe to assume that the two of them have worked on music for the project as well. However, Zane Lowe recently stated there was a “feature of dreams” on the tracklist, which some have interpreted as a contribution from Frank Ocean.

Twitter Reacts To “For All The Dogs” Cover Art

Overall, fans had plenty ot say about Adonis’ drawing for the For All The Dogs album artwork. Check out a few reactions below and sound off with your thoughts in the comment section.

Zane Lowe Seemingly Hints Frank Ocean Is Featured On Drake’s “For All The Dogs”

Zane Lowe appeared to hint that Frank Ocean will be making an appearance on Drake’s upcoming album, For All The Dogs. Speaking about the project during his Apple Music Radio show, Lowe described one guest contribution on For All The Dogs as “industry-shaking, never-done-before,” and the “feature of dreams.”

Immediately following the remark, Lowe played Frank Ocean’s Blonde song, “Nikes.” The comments sparked plenty of excitement from fans on social media. One tweeted: “If I see Frank on a track ima go nuts.” Another wrote: “If frank ocean is on the album its album of the year automatically.” Further fueling the rumors, Drake shared a picture of Ocean’s Blonde on vinyl on his Instagram Story, last week.

Despite the apparent hints, other users online weren’t as confident that Ocean will be collaborating with Drake. “That’d obviously be cr*zy and a great song but idk if it would really be considered ‘industry-shaking, never done before feature of dreams,’” one said. A different fan added: “Not to mention that this album is mostly singing drake. If this is true it’d be ground breaking but it is frank at the end of the day so don’t get ur hopes up.”

Zane Lowe Teases “Industry-Shaking” Feature On “For All The Dogs”

If he does make an appearance on the album, Ocean won’t be the only high-profile guest to do so. During a concert on his Its All a Blur tour in July, Drake confirmed that his longtime collaborator Nicki Minaj will be a guest on For All The Dogs. “Imma give away one thing off the album in Detroit tonight, ‘cuz I got a lot of love for Detroit,” Drake told his audience at the time. “So Imma have to tell you, like, me and Nicki Minaj did our first song in like, a really long time. Drake’s ‘For All The Dogs’ Album Cover Was Custom Designed By One Of The Rapper’s Favorite Artists

The It’s All A Blur Tour has not only been a significant payday thus far for Drake, but it has been a platform for him to share instant music updates with fans. On July 20, Drake revealed that his next album, For All The Dogs, would soon hit streaming platforms. Although he hasn’t revealed the official release date, Drake has hinted that it could feature collaborations with Bad Bunny and J. Cole.

On Monday, August 21, Drake took to Instagram to unveil the album’s cover, designed by one of his favorite artists, his 5-year-old son Adonis Graham. The young kid took some creative liberties with the album’s title. Instead of an adorable household canine, the image errs more on the side of a haunting werewolf, making the forthcoming project all the more intriguing.

Before Drake’s poetry book was released in June, he suggested that the literary work and his forthcoming album were linked, writing, “I made an album to go with the book. They say they miss the old Drake girl; don’t tempt me.” Below the message was the phrase, “For all the dogs.” Could this be the return of Drake’s certified lover boy era?

No further information is known about For All The Dogs at this time.
