Antonio Brown had a bone to pick this holiday season, as he just unleashed some attacks against football legend Michael Irvin. Of course, this might just be because the former wide receiver and now commentator has often spoken out about his antics, behavior, game, and general place within or outside of the NFL. Still, there doesn’t really seem to be much of a news item attached here other than Irvin’s recent list of the greatest wide receivers in league history. As you probably guessed, he left off Brown, which prompted him to get scandalous and homophobic in response. It’s just the latest addition in his long series of wild statements and claims.

“Sleeping at the top with Nightmares at the bottom,” Antonio Brown tweeted recently, starting off his tirade with what sounds like a bar. “Everybody want to be fly Until you swat em. Michael Irvin stay off the cocaine I got way more stats than you f***ot. You from Broward not Miami we slap the s**t your old a**. Merry chrisma PlayerHater.” At least he didn’t namedrop Keke Palmer this time, or invoke any other wild celebrity takes or attitudes in this instance.

In other news, Michael Irvin is too preoccupied with his commentary endeavors to pay this much mind, although that’s exactly the avenue that might prompt him to respond. In addition, he’s also quite busy with parenting, but that’s more of a comical relationship if you go off of recent headlines. For example, the Cowboys legend recently clowned his son’s rap career, joking that he’s trying to flex while having grown up in a gated community. Not exactly the most supportive of statements, but at least it seemed in good fun.

I’m calling the game, and it’s Oregon State against Stanford. Early in the game, I’m like, ‘Let’s see how much wood these Beavers can take. I had like six other borderline things that I said in that game. I got a call after that game because it was way too much. It was egregious. It wasn’t like ‘Hey, you’re gonna get fired if you keep doing this.’ But it was like, ‘Hey, you probably shouldn’t keep doing this’,” Griffin told Kay Adams of FanDuel.

However, as Penix’s surname is pronounced “Pee-nix”, Howard’s energy chanting definitely made it sound like he was saying “Big Penis Energy” instead.

As for the game itself, it was a true instant classic. The two PNW schools engaged a thrilling shootout that saw Washington survive and stay undefeated as Oregon’s kicker shanked a game-tying field goal as time expired. The Dawg faithful stormed the field to celebrate Washington’s 36-33 win. Penix Jr. had another stellar game, throwing for 302 yards and four touchdowns. Meanwhile, running back Dillon Johnson added another score on the ground along with a 100-yard game. Cooking the secondary all game long, two Washington receivers surpassed 100 yards on the day.

Bill Belichick Says Balls Were Underinflated For Patriots-Chiefs

Bill Belichick has confirmed that the balls used for placekicking during Patriots-Chiefs last weekend were underinflated. “We don’t have anything to do with it. Were we aware of it? Yeah, definitely. As I understand it, they were all the same. I don’t know what the explanation is. It was the same for both teams. You’d have to talk to the league about what happened on that. That part of it, they control all that,” Belichick said during his weekly press conference. The news was first reported by MassLive but any parallel to the infamous Deflate-gate scandal were dismissed as the issue affected both teams.

Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker, who missed his first field goal of the season in the first half against the Patriots, said he was informed of the deflation at halftime. “[They told me] the balls were a little deflated [and] they just let me know they pumped [them] up,” Butker said. Furthermore, he didn’t blame his miss on the state of the ball. “I think it was technique, one of those misfires that you wish you had back. My second kick of pregame warmup, I had a 38-yarder middle, and it kind of sliced off to the right like that. So it showed up, kind of, in warmup. I made a lot of big kicks with flatter balls, and shoot, even in college, I kicked a lot of flat balls,” Butker added.

Chiefs Kicker Explains Deflated Ball Situation

The NFL has declined to comment on underinflated kicking footballs in the first half of the Chiefs-Patriots game.

Furthermore, Butker revealed that a kicker can tell the different between balls in various states of inflation. “I didn’t notice anything on that opening kickoff and then second half, once you make that [field goal], you have the kickoff and you can feel the ball. And it was noticeably more pumped up. But again, cold weather is going to make the inflation go down. I’ve even had games where the bladder of the ball might pop or something, and maybe you feel it on kickoff and then you just ask for a different ball. So stuff like that happens and you just roll with it. I’ve made decent kickoffs with balls that maybe aren’t perfect 13 PSI indoor room temperature, but it’s just kind of the nature of the game. Sometimes that stuff happens,” Butker explained.

Despite Butker also calling the process “routine”, the situation has called back memories of Deflate-gate. The Belichick-led Patriots were fined $1M, docked two draft picks, and lost QB Tom Brady for four games after it was determined that they purposefully underinflated balls to gain a competitive advantage in the 2015 AFC Championship Game.

There has just been one other rapper to headline the Super Bowl Halftime show. That was the Dre-led show in 2022 that featured the creme de la creme of West Coast rap (as well as Eminem). To give an artist like Wayne a solo show (although the did say there would be an exception to his guest rule for Beyonce), would be a major step for the NFL.

Lil Wayne Reveals Unreleased Kevin Durant Collab

Elsewhere in the interview, Wayne also revealed that he had an unreleased track featuring Kevin Durant. The track was at one time considered for inclusion on ColleGrove 2. Instead, Wayne decided to save it for a later project. However, Wayne was caught off-guard after Rooks revealed that she knew about the track. “I just want you to know you messed up. That song was being considered to be on Carter VI and now since you’re saying something, it’s not goin’ on Carter VI,” Wayne joked, directing his response at Durant himself.

Furthermore, Wayne had a lot to say about Durant’s skills as a rapper. “KD’s a jewel. He’s a backpack rapper. I can imagine he probably could call a timeout in a game, and probably ask him to rap and he probably got a verse for you,” Wayne mused. The content of Durant’s song with Wayne is as yet unknown. However, KD does have some experience in the music industry. He has a song with LeBron James and was recently credited as A&R on Drake‘s For All The Dogs.

Florida State Calls Special Board Meeting In Wake Of CFP Snub

Florida State’s board of trustees will meet for a special meeting tomorrow morning. While no formal topic was announced for the meeting, sources told ESPN that the topic at hand will be the school’s long-term athletic future. This will likely include a discussion to whether challenge the ACC’s “grant of rights”, potentially allowing Florida State to join another athletic conference.

Under the ACC’s “grant of rights”, schools are locked into the conference until the expiration of their media deal with ESPN in 2036. However, Florida State has spent the last year growing increasingly vocal about their discontent. Revenue gaps, revenue distribution, and the conference’s overall standing in college athletics have all been raised as issues. However, the tipping point was Florida State’s exclusion from the College Football Playoff. The Seminoles were left out in favor of Alabama, with the primary reason being that the SEC is a stronger conference than the ACC.

The intention is to use the money to sue the NCAA for excluding Florida State from the College Football Playoff. “My first-grader, my fifth-grader, and my preschooler – they are all Noles. They are big-time fans and they do the tomahawk chop and they were not happy. We are going to set aside $1 million and let the chips fall where they may,” DeSantis told the chamber. However, it’s largely a symbolic gesture. The college football season will be decided long before the budget is ratified.

Furthermore, the state AG Ashley Moody also launched an investigation into the CFP committee. “I’m a lifelong Gator, but I’m also the Florida attorney general, and I know injustice when I see it. No rational person or college football fan can look at this situation and not question the result. The NCAA, conferences and the College Football Playoff committee are subject to antitrust laws. My office is launching an investigation to examine if the committee was involved in any anticompetitive conduct. As it stands, the committee’s decision reeks of partiality, so we are demanding answers — not only for FSU, but for all schools, teams and fans of college football. In Florida, merit matters. If it’s attention they were looking for, the committee certainly has our attention now,” Moody said in a video filmed at Florida State’s stadium.

Tyreek Hill Allegedly Named As Father Of Third Child Born This Year

Tyreek Hill has reportedly been named as the father of a third child born this year. The news comes a week after a pair of paternity suits filed by women who claim that Hill currently pays them $2500 a month for the upkeep of children they had with him that were born this year. Little is known about the third woman he reportedly had a child with. However, she has not at this time filed a paternity suit like Brittany Lackner and Kimberly Baker.

Lackner, a travel influencer, came forward with claims that Hill had gotten her pregnant in January of this year before giving birth in February. Baker originally came forward in May. However, unlike Lackner, Baker does not have a prior paternity test that allegedly proves that Hill is the father. Furthermore, Hill has sought to have both women’s suits dismissed as neither woman currently lives in the state of Florida.

Elsewhere, Hill’s quest to become the NFL’s first 2000-yard receiver became that much harder last weekend. Hill was a late injury scratch from the Dolphins’ dominant win over the Jets. Missing the game meant that Hill was unable to add to his current yardage tally of 1542. With three games left in the regular season, Hill will need to average 152.6 yards against the Cowboys, Ravens, and Bills just to hit 2000. Hill has hit this mark five times this year. However, those games were never against the level of opponent the Dolphins are still to face. Additionally, the Fins’ final three opponents have combined to allow 0 150-yard receivers and just nine 100-yard receivers this season so far.

It remains to be seen if Hill can even match Calvin Johnson’s record, let alone eclipse 2000. Ever since late September, Chandler Jones’ life has spiraled out of control. The former defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, and Las Vegas Raiders, is currently on his couch. After a series of concerning videos and arrests, the latter had no choice but to release him. The troubled NFL star rarely appeared for the recently relocated team, and when he did, Jones was not himself. The actions off the field were essentially the final straw, and it seems they are not stopping.

According to TMZ Sports, Jones was at his Arizona home when the police confronted him. As we mentioned earlier, he was handcuffed for violating protective orders. He did so twice, with the first instance involving him going to a woman’s home, stealing furniture, and setting ablaze in his yard. The new footage you can see below is from Monday morning.
