The State of Georgia vs. Donald Trump: Former President Trump Hit with RICO in Attempt to Reverse Georgia Election Results

Donald Trump Hints at Possible 2024 Presidential Run

Donald Trump has received his fourth indictment, a RICO charge, in the state of Georgia for attempting to overturn election results in the state to stay in power. Trump, his advisors, and staff are accused of organizing a “criminal enterprise” against official election results. A grand jury handed down the indictment.

A new 100-page indictment names Trump and 18 others as charged with lying to Georgia legislature and state officials, creating a fake pro-Trump slate for the Electoral College, harassing election workers, engaging in a cover-up, and four more crimes. There are officially 41 counts. Of those indicted are Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, and Kenneth Chesebro.

The leading charge against Trump was issued under the RICO law, short for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations, originally set to target the mafia and organized crime. The RICO law has been notable throughout Hip-Hop, specifically regarding the YSL chase involving Young Thug. The charges against Trump and Thugger were both brought forth by Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis.

Trump and his co-defendants now have until Aug. 25 to surrender to Fulton County, GA. “We look forward to a detailed review of this indictment, which is undoubtedly just as flawed and unconstitutional as this entire process has been,” Trump’s legal team said in response.

According to The New York Times, once Trump is arraigned, a judge will be assigned who will schedule the trial.

Returning to Truth Social, his Twitter/X alternative, Trump blasted the charges by issuing, “So, the Witch Hunt continues!” Trump also attacked Willis, writing she is an out of control and very corrupt District Attorney who campaigned and raised money on, ‘I will get Trump.’”

WATCH: Megan Thee Stallion Blasts Her Haters in Post Tory Lanez Sentencing Return to Stage

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion took the stage for the first time since Tory Lanez’s sentencing, and she had one strong message: “F*ck all my haters.”

Hot Girl Meg continued, “None of that shit you was doing or saying broke me.”

Tory Lanez‘s time behind bars for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion will be closer to nine years instead of the previously sentenced 10. Lanez will get credit for the time served.

“Lanez will be credited for 231 days he’s already spent in jail,” court reporter Meghann Cuniff wrote on Twitter. “He gets 15% credit of 34 days. Herriford also is crediting his 40 days of house arrest, for a total of 305 days. He’ll request bail pending appeal, which will be heard Aug. 15.”

Cuniff also noted that the possibility of bail is extremely unlikely.

Tory Lanez will be behind bars for a while, serving time for his shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez’s lawyer, Jose Baez, spoke with TMZ and stated the rapper is “feeling pretty low” and is processing the sentence. He added that the Chixtape rapper would deal with the sentence as best as he could.

Baez also noted that Tory would lean on his faith in God and his fans and family’s support system. Baez also states that they are still fighting for an appeal.

Tory Lanez’s time is to be spent in a California state prison.

The verdict was delivered after a 10-minute argument by Alex Bott on behalf of prosecutors and 20 minutes of defense from Jose Baez. Judge Herriford issued the ruling.

During the hearing, Tory Lanez spoke for several minutes, according to reporter Meghann Cuniff, where he said Megan is “someone I still care for dearly to this day” and said, “the victim’s my friend.”

He also would speak about the mutual loss of their mothers. “We both lost our mothers. We would sit there and drink, and drink until we got numb,” Tory Lanez said.

Yo Gotti’s latest Breakfast Club interview revealed a surprising collaboration with 17-year-old prodigy Yung Dee (IG: @imyungdee). Gotti chose Yung Dee to executive produce his upcoming Gangsta Grillz mixtape, I Showed U So.

Intriguingly, Gotti first discovered Yung Dee on Instagram Live in 2020, when the producer was just 14 years old. After gaining approval from Dee’s parents, Gotti and Moneybagg Yo joined forces to sign him to their CMG The Label and Bread Gang imprints.

Yung Dee’s impressive journey over the past three years includes crafting beats for acclaimed artists like Gotti, Moneybagg Yo, EST Gee, 42 Dugg, and Future. Notably, he produced hits such as 42 Dugg’s “Maybach (feat. Future),” Moneybagg Yo’s “Sholl Is” and “Shot Off Gumbo (feat. YTB Fatt & Fat Wizza),” and EST Gee’s “Balloons.”

During the interview, Gotti highlighted that Yung Dee’s father often accompanies him to CMG studio sessions, showcasing the deep bond between the young producer and his family. Yung Dee’s role extended beyond executive production, as he also contributed to several tracks on the mixtape, including “Driveway Furniture,” “1st Hunnid Bands,” “Mind My Business,” and “The One.” This unexpected collaboration underscores the power of nurturing emerging talent in hip-hop.

YSL Defendant Used Attorney’s Laptop To Engage In Affair With Fulton Co. Deputy

In another unsuspecting twist in the YSL RICO trial, the attorney for alleged YSL co-conspirator Christian Eppinger was forced to hand his laptop over to authorities as a part of the investigation after it was claimed that Eppinger used his lawyer’s laptop to communicate with a sheriff’s deputy with whom he was having an affair.

Fulton County Judge Ural Glanville ordered that defense lawyer Eric Johnson turn over his computer because there was “sufficient probable cause” to believe that Johnson allowed Eppinger to contact former Fulton County Sheriff’s deputy Akeiba Stanley via Instagram while the two allegedly had an affair.

Eppinger’s case has been severed from the remaining eight defendants after the alleged affair with Stanley. The other 20 of the original 28 co-defendants took plea deals which kept most of them from facing active prison sentences.

Judge Glanville gave YSL defendants the right to use their attorney’s laptops, but only to review evidence and court documents. Johnson attempted to block the injunction by filing a motion to dismiss the seizure last month by saying it violates attorney-client privacy privilege.

TheSource.com will update this story as more details develop about the YSL RICO case.

YNW Melly Court Hearing Set For Next Week, Retrial Set For October

YNW Melly

According to reports, YNW Melly has a court hearing scheduled for August 18 in front of a Broward County judge after an unknown motion was filed by the incarcerated rapper’s attorneys. His lawyers filed a motion to re-depose one of the detectives in the case, but that motion was denied. The judge ruled, “Defendant has failed to show good cause for re-deposing Det. Mark Moretti.”

Jurors could not agree on Melly’s guilt or innocence last month in the shooting deaths of YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser, so it is now being reported that a re-trial for YNW Melly in his double murder trial, which ended last month in a mistrial, is set to begin on October 9.

TheSource.com will update this story with more details as they are made available.
