Video footage has surfaced of “Astroworld” rapper Travis Scott and tennis living legend John McEnroe getting into a heated exchange over the name of their Nike-sponsored “Mac Attack” sneaker collaboration.

A Zoom meeting between the two celebs and Nike executives went left when McEnroe told Scott that he doesn’t approve of the sneaker name “Cactus Jack” as opposed to his proposed suggestion, “Cactus Mac”.

Scott wasn’t feeling McEnroe’s suggested name, to which the famously enraged tennis guru responded, “Come on, man! Show some respect! This is my shoe!” Scott doubled down on his suggestion, which caused McEnroe to ultimately leave the call.

Keke Palmer Says Her Life is ‘Unraveling’ in New Instagram Post

Keke Palmer 2

Keke Palmer delivered a new post on Instagram, holding her toddler and detailing the current state of her life, which she says is “unraveling at the seams.”

“When reality tv makes everyone believe all celebrities lives are just one big marketing strategy and scheme but my life is truly unraveling at the seams and I just wear trauma like a dolce gabana coat because Sharon didn’t raise no b****,” Palmer wrote.

Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson’s domestic violence case is on hold for now. According to court docs, the two asked to hold off the start of court to resolve their issues through mediation.

Complex notes the court filing asks for “the parties time to attend mediation. The parties request that the Mediation and Petitioner’s DVRO be continued to a mutually agreeable date.” The constraints of the restraining order will remain in effect.

Before this update, PEOPLE reported Palmer had been granted temporary sole physical and legal custody. According to PEOPLE, Palmer had desired an amicable split.

“She gave him a lot of chances to do the right thing,” a source detailed. “Keke tried so hard to have an amicable split and arrangement [custody]. She needed to prioritize her safety and the safety of her baby. She wants the best for Leo. She did not want it to get to this point. But she did what she had to do.”

Keke Palmer has filed for permanent full custody of her 8-month-old son with Darius Jackson, Leodis. Additionally, Palmer has agreed to pay “reasonable expenses of pregnancy and birth” but asks each person to care for their attorneys.

The court can “make orders” for child support and “issue an earnings assignment without further notice to either party.”

According to PageSix, Palmer denied the option of joint custody and also filed a restraining order against Jackson. The order cites physical and emotional abuse. The documents also state “many instances of physical violence,” claiming Jackson has destroyed personal property, tossed Palmer’s items into the street, and tossed her car keys to prevent her from leaving.

Jackson is also accused of hitting Palmer in front of their son, threatening suicide if she left him, harassment, and “other physical and emotional abuse.”

Palmer and Jackson officially split last month, but Palmer states she has security footage as recent as Nov. 5 showing Jackson trespassing at her home. Jackson is stated to have “threatened [her], then physically attacked [her] — lunging for [her] neck, striking [her], throwing [her] over the couch and stealing [her] phone when [she] told him [she] was going to call the police.”

Palmer stated the relationship officially wrapped in early October due to “physical and emotional abuse inflicted on [her] by [him] throughout [their] relationship.”

“It is because of our son, Leo, that I was finally able to end my relationship with Darius once and for all and escape the abuse,” Palmer wrote. “Leo is the most important thing in the entire world to me; he needs and deserves to be safe and grow up in an environment free from violence.”

Palmer stated her leaving Jackson has escalated the attacks, citing his actions as “more unhinged, volatile and dangerous.”

Keke Palmer also released images from her security camera showing Jackson engaged in attacking her.

Following the developments, Jackson tweeted an image with his son, captioning: “I love you, son. See you soon.”

On this date in 2001, NYC kings of crime rhyme Mobb Deep released their fifth full-length studio album entitled Infamy on the Loud/Columbia imprint.

As the QB duo’s first album following their publicized beef on wax with Jay-Z, the controversy helped to bolster the album’s sales, recognized by the RIAA as certified gold, despite being created during the advent of the internet, in an era that will forever be known as ringtone music.

As one of the last full-length projects from the Mobb, Infamy offered up one of the few albums during that era that was approved by the streets as well as the industry. Tracks like “Get Away” and “Hey Luv,” which featured Bad Boy R&B group 112 spearheaded the album to commercial success with a more “acceptable” sound, while tracks like “The Learning (Burn)” featuring Rapper Noyd and Vita is an example of their ability to show you that the Mobb is still “Infamous”.

Salute to Prodigy (RIP), Havoc, Noyd and the rest of the Mobb who helped create this timeless piece of Hip Hop history!

John Singleton’s Estate Battle: Mother Wins In Court Against Ex-Girlfriend and Daughter

JohnSingleton'sOutdatedWillLeaves$MillionEstatetohisFirstBorn

In a recent court battle over the late director John Singleton’s estate, his mother, Sheila Ward, emerged victorious against the claims made by Singleton’s ex-girlfriend, Vestria Barlow, and daughter, Cleopatra. Radar Online reports that a hearing was held in Los Angeles Superior Court where the family members clashed over the distribution of Singleton’s fortune.

After John Singleton’s passing in 2019, Sheila Ward was appointed to administer her late son’s estate. The beneficiaries of the estate are Singleton’s seven children—Justice, Selenesol, Hadar, Massai, Cleopatra, Isis, and Seven.

In July, Ward submitted her final report to the court, revealing that the estate was valued at an estimated $6.8 million. She asserted that the money would be divided among Singleton’s children.

However, a couple of weeks later, Cleopatra and her mother, Vestria Barlow, opposed the final report. Barlow filed a $15 million federal lawsuit against Ward and various studios, claiming she was owed a percentage of residuals from several of Singleton’s projects. Despite this, the federal judge dismissed the lawsuit for being brought in the wrong venue.

In the recent hearing, the court presiding over the probate case sided with Ward, granting approval of her final report. This means that Ward has permission to distribute the estate to the beneficiaries, with each child expected to receive around $1 million. The children will continue to receive money over time as the estate collects residuals from Singleton’s work.

The judge deemed the objections to the report as “untimely filed,” solidifying Ward’s position as the administrator of the estate. In her petition, Ward detailed Singleton’s assets, including comic books, movie memorabilia, a Los Angeles home, various vehicles, and ownership stakes in companies like Crunk Pictures and New Deal Productions.

The estate also held valuable items such as expensive comic book art, a 70% interest in Crunk Pictures and New Deal Productions estimated at $3.2 million, a $1.1 million retirement account, $31,000 in the bank, and personal property like a painting of Tupac worth $75,000 and the $50,000 lowrider used by Tyrese in Singleton’s film “Baby Boy.” The resolution of this court battle sheds light on the complex financial legacy left behind by the acclaimed director.

Rohan Marley Facing Potential Jail Time Over Unsettled Car Crash Damages

Screen Shot 2023 12 09 at 10.34.40 AM

Rohan Marley, son of the iconic Jamaican music legend Bob Marley, is reportedly facing the prospect of jail time in Jamaica due to an ongoing legal dispute stemming from a car crash in 2016. According to reports from the Jamaica Gleaner, an application has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking Marley’s imprisonment for allegedly failing to settle damages amounting to nearly $15 million related to the incident.

The incident in question occurred on April 15, 2016, around 2:10 p.m., along Half Way Tree Road in the parish of Saint Andrew. The collision involved a motor car registered as 9115 EH, driven by Trudy-Anne Silent-Hyatt, a Marketing and Public Relations Consultant, and a motor truck registered as CE 9933, owned by Rohan Anthony Marley and driven by Jason Davion Walters, an Electrician/Repairs and Maintenance Consultant. Both vehicles were traveling in the same direction, with Mrs. Silent-Hyatt driving in front of Mr. Walters when the collision took place.

Legal proceedings commenced with the 1st Defendant filing a Defense on November 4, 2016, followed by the 2nd Defendant filing a similar Defense on January 6, 2017. The Defenses, which are identical in content, acknowledge ownership and driver responsibilities for the motor vehicle bearing registration number CE 9933. However, they vehemently deny the allegation that the 2nd Defendant “slammed into the rear of the motor vehicle being driven by the Claimant approximately 5–6 seconds after the Claimant had come to a complete stop.” Instead, they argue that the Claimant abruptly stopped when a taxi ahead of her was halted by a policeman, catching the 2nd Defendant off guard despite his efforts to avoid a collision.

The legal battle has since unfolded, leading to the current application filed in the Supreme Court, pushing for Rohan Marley’s imprisonment due to the outstanding damages. The developments in this case add a layer of complexity to the Marley family’s legacy, as Rohan finds himself entangled in a legal dispute that could potentially result in jail time.

As the proceedings continue, the public awaits further updates on this unexpected legal predicament for Rohan Marley, whose familial connection to one of Jamaica’s most beloved figures adds a significant spotlight to the unfolding legal drama.
