Music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is requesting additional time to prepare a response to a lawsuit filed against him by a woman, identified as Jane Doe, who alleges an inappropriate encounter with the music executive when she was 17 years old. Diddy’s lawyer, Jonathan Davis, informed the judge that unforeseen confidential circumstances require an extension for the mogul to reply to the lawsuit.

Allhiphop.com reports: In a letter to the court, Davis stated, “Due to circumstances beyond the control of the Combs Defendants, which circumstances are of a confidential nature, we respectfully request that the Court modify the Motion Schedule to extend Defendants’ time to file their opposition to the Motion from December 27, 2023, to January 17, 2024, and extend Plaintiff’s time to file a reply, if any, from January 8, 2024, to January 31, 2024.”

The legal battle has already seen resistance from Diddy and his associate Harve, who have indicated in previous court documents that they do not consent to Jane Doe’s motion to proceed anonymously. The issue of anonymity has become a point of contention between the parties.

Jane Doe’s lawyer, Douglas H. Wigdor, has stressed the importance of her remaining anonymous, citing potential chilling effects on future plaintiffs and emphasizing the significant trauma she has allegedly experienced due to the reported assault. The disagreement over anonymity sets the stage for a substantial legal battle in what is becoming a high-stakes lawsuit.

‘The Color Purple’ Broadway Actress Wants Royalties For Lyrics Used In New Film

Everyone has been raving about the performances in the new musical The Color Purple musical based on the classic novel/film written by Alice Walker. The film was released on Christmas Day and opened at No.1 at the box office.

Now the actress. LaChanze who played Miss Celie on Broadway is demanding royalties for her contributions to the original songs used in the production. LaChanze initially won a Tony for playing Celie on Broadway, with Barrino joining a wealth of other actresses who took on the part on stage following LaChanze’s departure from the production, also including Cynthia Erivo and Adrianna Hicks. Barrino eventually reprised the role in director Blitz Bazawule’s big-screen adaptation of the musical, which also welcomed supporting actress Danielle Brooks back to The Color Purple family in the role of Sofia, which she first portrayed in the 2015 Broadway revival.

LaChanze wrote on Twitter:

I am getting a lot of DM’s and posts about why I’ve been left out of the press as the original Celie in the

@TheColorPurple (musical). I am thrilled for the movie’s success! Happy for all involved. However, I do want my royalty fee for the lyrics I added to “I’M HERE”.

Benny detailed to the VIP Saturdays Shade 45 crew that he was a teacher to other inmates in prison, and before one of his classes, he received a letter.

“It’s a thick letter and I wanna read my letter,” The Butcher said. “I got somebody else to teach the class. So I’m sitting in front of the class reading the letter.”

He may have wanted to keep the letter for a more private moment once he got to the details. “This bitch telling me about how this other nigga fucking her. And it was just a long letter asking me what she should do. ‘He got a wife. What should I do? I don’t know.’ I’m like, ‘This bitch crazy.’”

Benny said that he just chalked it up to the game. ” I never blamed her for it because I know I was in and out of prison, and a woman is only strong as the bond that she got with her nigga.”

Throughout his time on the pod, Johnson speaks against interracial marriages, zeroing in on Bryant and what he believes is a lack of financial support to the Black community with the money her husband made.

“Kobe Bryant. Vanessa inherited his wealth and guess what? Is Vanessa Bryant using any of his money to do good in the Black community,” Johnson said.

The video sees Megan decked out in all purple, as she gives her speech as Mother Fitness, encouraging people to join Planet Fitness where everyone can workout in their own way. According to the press release, this new venture includes a line of branded fitness gear including sweatshirts, bucket hats, water bottles, and sticker sheets.

Megan states in a statement: “Working out is such an important part of my routine, so this partnership with Planet Fitness genuinely embodies my personal values. 50 Cent heard Taraji P. Henson detail firing her team after not capitalizing on Empire, and he had one message: “Let’s get it!”

Hitting Instagram, 50 wrote: “They dropped the ball fvck em @tarajiphenson I’m ready to work.”

Taraji P. Henson revealed a massive shakeup that she made to her team after the conclusion of Empire. According to Henson, a Cookie spinoff was supposed to happen, and when it didn’t, she cleared house. The reveal came after Variety’s Angelique Jackson asked about her best business decision.

“Firing everybody after Cookie,” Henson responded. “Everybody had to fucking go. Where is my deal? Where’s my commercial? Cookie was at the top of the fashion game. Where is my endorsement? What did you have set up for after this? That’s why you all haven’t seen me in so long. They had nothing set up. All they wanted was another Cookie show.”

She added, “I said, ‘I’ll do it, but it has to be right. The people deserve…she’s too beloved for y’all to fuck it up.’ And so, when they didn’t get it right, I was like, ‘Well, that’s it,’ and they had nothing else. ‘You’re all fuckin’ fired.’ It took me years to get there…you are the prize. Don’t you ever forget that. You are the talent. You are there check. Don’t every forget that. They work for you. If they are not…somebody else will do it. I stayed with the same team for years.”

Last week, Taraji P. Henson cried over frustration with Hollywood. She admitted she was considering quitting her job over the pay gap for Black actresses and revealed she hasn’t had a raise in years. The blogs suspected tension between Taraji and Oprah, but it seems Oprah has made things right with the Empire actress.

Taranji posted a photo of she and Oprah with the caption:

It is so important for black women and ALL women of color to support each other.

It is also imperative to have women of color in decision making positions across ALL industries.

Kanye West has dropped his first post-Adidas footwear. Kanye dropped the shoe on Yeezy.com for a retail price of $200. The new shoe is calf-high and in all-black, available in only three sizes.

Before the shoe’s release, Kanye West issued an apology to the Jewish community after his name was written on a missile that is being used in the Hamas war. Ye issued his apology for antisemitic remarks and Hitler’s support in Hebrew.

The statement was shared on Ye’s Instagram account, apologizing for his offensive remarks over the past year. A translation of the apology reads:

“I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions, it was not my intention to hurt or disrespect, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future. Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.”

According to TMZ, Haim Gozali, an Israeli mixed-martial artist, wrote his name on the weapon and has a history of celebrating the death of Palestinians.

The message sent with Gozali’s tweet reads: “@kanyewest you don’t like us jewish. So we don’t like you too!!!!”

The message on the missile reads: “Kanye West Flying to Gaza Haim Gozali.”

SOURCE SPORTS: Von Miller Says Domestic Violence Allegations Against Girlfriend are ‘Overblown’

Von Miller spoke to the media for the first time since his arrest for domestic violence. The Buffalo Bills star defensive player called the ordeal “overblown.”

“Obviously, there are things that I can’t talk about but everything that was out is completely wrong and blown out of proportion,” Miller said. “Me and my girlfriend, we have problems just like any other couple does. But there has never been any of those things that was alleged against me.

“Hopefully over time, all of this stuff will get cleared up. Sometimes life just be lifing. You’ve just got to keep pushing and keep moving. The people who know me and the people who have been around me know my character, they know who I am.”

Von Miller was arrested following accusations of domestic violence with a pregnant woman. According to TMZ, Miller turned himself in at Glenn Heights, Texas, police department at 4 pm CT on Thursday (Nov 30.).

Miller is accused of showing, pulling the hair, and placing his hands around the neck of a woman during an altercation. The result was a felony warrant arrest. The incident began inside Miller’s Dallas-area apartment and stemmed from travel plans.

Miller allegedly became “visibly angry” after the woman walked into the home’s office and slammed the door. Miller asked the woman to leave, to which she agreed but wanted to grab some items first, leading to Miller pushing the woman, who yelled, “stop, I’m pregnant.” The woman said she pushed onto a chair, and Miller applied pressure to her neck for “3 to 5 seconds before letting go.” The woman stated she felt pain but did “not have difficulty breathing.”

Miller was also stated to have thrown the woman’s laptop on the ground and stomped it, followed by pulling a chunk of the woman’s hair out and causing her to fall. He would later follow up with another grab on the neck.

Officers noticed abrasions on the woman’s left hand and bruising on the neck, abdomen, and left bicep. Miller was charged with one felony charge of assault on a pregnant person.
