[WATCH] Treach Talks Again About Brawl That Made Crips Put Out “Hit” On Him And Tupac

Tupac Shakur

In his exclusive interview with The Art Of Dialogue, Naughty By Nature front man Treach spoke about the brawl that he and 2Pac were involved in at a comedy club in Los Angeles, which ultimately led to the Crips putting the “green light” on him and ‘Pac following the melee.

Back in the mid-90s, Treach says that an brawl between the Rollin 60s Crips and the Bloods broke out at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles the week before they were in attendance, but suggested that the Crips came back the following week to exact revenge; the same night that he and ‘Pac were in attendance.

“They came in and just started picking up chairs and bottles. We heard the commotion in the back. Before we got a chance to look back, bow! I got hit in the head with a chair,” he remembered.

“That’s when I walked around with the big chain, so I took that shit off immediately. ‘Pac and everybody that was with us picked up bottles and chairs, and there was just an all-out brawl. So we ended up fighting our way outta there.”

Treach says that despite escaping with their lives, there were still repercussions for their actions at the Comedy Store. “It was so real we actually had gotten green lit by the 60s. A green light is like on sight, n-ggas is gonna roll on you and handle business — it’s a hit,” he said. “So I had to get up with my family that was out there … We sat down in Compton and basically let it be known we ain’t disrespected the gang, we was just doing what we had to do to get up outta there. So they took the green light off and the rest is history.”

TikTok Bans User Who Told Immigrants To Steal And Squat In Homes

Screen Shot 2024 03 26 at 8.43.48 AM

In the ever-evolving landscape of social media, where influence can be wielded with a tap and a swipe, the power of a single viral video can sometimes leave lasting reverberations. Recently, a Venezuelan immigrant, Leonel Moreno, known as “Capichi” on TikTok, found himself at the center of a storm after a resurfaced video went viral, prompting widespread outrage and eventually leading to his ban from the platform.

In the now-deleted video, Moreno, with a following nearing 5 million, brazenly shared advice on exploiting squatter’s rights in the United States. “My people,” he proclaimed, “I’ve thought about invading a house in the United States because I’ve learned that there is a law that says that if a house is not inhabited, we can seize it.”

Watch the latest video at foxnews.com

The video quickly amassed over 4 million views before TikTok intervened, removing Moreno’s account from the platform. But the damage was done, sparking fury among Americans who viewed his message as a threat to their property rights and a brazen disregard for the law.

What further fueled the firestorm were Moreno’s other exploits showcased on his TikTok channel. He boasted about his infant daughter being an “anchor baby,” a term used to describe children born in the United States to non-citizen parents, often with the implication of securing legal residency for the family. Moreno also offered tutorials on shoplifting from retail stores, exploiting the vulnerabilities of return policies for financial gain.

Perhaps most shockingly, Moreno was involved in raising funds for a 15-year-old Venezuelan immigrant who had shot a security guard while shoplifting in New York City’s bustling Times Square. These revelations only served to intensify the backlash against him.

The issue of squatting is not a novel one in the United States, particularly in areas where housing affordability is a pressing concern. Recent tragic incidents, such as the killing of a woman by teenage squatters in her deceased mother’s apartment in New York City, have highlighted the dangers and complexities surrounding this issue.

Even high-profile figures like NBA star LeBron James have found themselves embroiled in the fight against squatting. In California, where housing prices soar and squatting is rampant, LeBron is building a multi-million dollar estate in Beverly Grove. However, just doors away, a $4.5 million mansion has fallen victim to squatters who transformed it into a lucrative party venue, pocketing over $30,000 a month in fees from party guests.

The response from local authorities has only added fuel to the fire. District Attorney George Gascon, who recently survived a recall effort, stirred controversy by asserting that “squatters have rights.” This stance has only heightened concerns among homeowners, including LeBron James, who find themselves facing an uphill battle against those exploiting legal loopholes for personal gain.

As communities grapple with the fallout from his viral video, it underscores the urgent need for dialogue and action to address the underlying issues of housing insecurity and property rights in America.

Today in Hip-Hop History: NWA Founder Eazy-E Died From AIDS 29 Years Ago

external content

On this day in 1995, gangster rap pioneer Eric “Eazy-E” Wright succumbed to complications of the AIDS virus less than 10 days after making it known to the public.

Many are able to embody the persona of gangsta rap. That’s thanks to the likes of Schooly D, Ice-T, and N.W.A. The difference between the two formers when compared to the latter is Eazy-E. a true entrepreneur and if it wasn’t the rap game, his money would’ve (as it has) been made regardless.

In 1986, Eazy-E went into business with Jerry Heller to create Ruthless Records. It’s often told that Wright used up to $250,000 of his own money, which he made in the streets, to fund this endeavor. Because of this, as Jerry Heller mentioned in his memoir titled, Ruthless, Eazy-E owned 80% of the rights to the company.

Yeah, I was a brother on the streets of Compton doing a lot of things most people look down on but it did pay off. Then we started rapping about real stuff that shook up the LAPD and the FBI. But we got our message across big time, and everyone in America started paying attention to the boys in the hood.

Ruthless Records would present Dr. Dre to a national audience, as well as Ice Cube. Their method; Gangsta Rap. It would be the harsh lyrics and gritty portrayal of the gang activity, crime, racial discrimination, police brutality, and day-to-day life in a predominately black area during the Reagan/Crack-era that would solidify not only the record company but the groups and acts associated as hip-hop royalty.

Nine short years after, 1995 to be exact, the world would lose Eric “Eazy-E” Wright to complications from AIDS.

Simon Guobadia Files for Restraining Order Against Reality Star Porsha Williams

Porsha Williams Shares That She Plans To Have Two Weddings With Simon Guobadia

The drama surrounding Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Porsha Williams and her estranged husband, Simon Guobadia, has taken a new turn as Guobadia files for a restraining order against Williams. The couple, who recently made headlines with their whirlwind romance and subsequent divorce filing, is now embroiled in a legal battle following allegations made by Guobadia.

According to reports from Page Six, Guobadia claims that Williams showed up to their former marital home with an armed bodyguard in tow. In court documents obtained by Page Six, Guobadia alleges that Williams “abandoned” their house at one point but later returned with a man who was visibly armed, prompting Guobadia to call the police to “maintain the peace.”

Guobadia further alleges that Williams brought the armed individual on two separate occasions, leading to heightened tensions and concerns for safety. He also claims that Williams, along with her mother and her mother’s boyfriend, made a “forcible entry” into the marital home, tampering with security cameras and evidence in the process.

The court documents paint a picture of escalating conflict and instability, with Guobadia expressing concerns for the safety of himself, his household staff, and the minor children who reside in the marital residence. He alleges that Williams’ behavior has been erratic, threatening, and harassing since the filing of their divorce.

In light of these allegations, Guobadia is seeking a restraining order against Williams to ensure the safety and well-being of himself and those around him. The legal maneuver adds another layer of complexity to the already tumultuous relationship between the former couple.

Takeoff Blamed For His Own Murder By Defendants In Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Takeoff's Solo Album 'The Last Rocket' Set for November Release

It’s been almost two years since the tragic death of Migos member and the court battle continues as to who was responsible for the 28-year-old superstar’s death. Now, it is being reported that one of the defendant’s in the wrongful death lawsuit is alleging that Takeoff was, at least in part, responsible for his own death and are seeking to get the lawsuit against their company dismissed.

Nine months following Takeoff’s murder, his mother, Titania Davenport, filed a million dollar lawsuit against the Houston venue where Takeoff, whose given name is Kirsnick Khari Tiquon Ball, was killed but now the owners of the venue want the lawsuit dismissed against them.

In the court filing, the Midway Companies, LLC stated, “Decedent Kirsnick Khari Tiquon Ball [TakeOff] failing to exercise ordinary care for his own safety.” BTO Billiards, the actual venue, followed in Midway’s footsteps, stating in the suit, “There is a reasonable probability that the occurrence in question as well as the damages complained of were proximately caused, in whole or in part, by unknown criminals who participated in unlawful gambling and/or the illegal possession of firearms.” They added, “Defendant is not liable to Plaintiffs because Plaintiff’s own acts or omissions proximately caused or contributed to Plaintiff’s injuries.”

Two men, Patrick Xavier Clark and Cameron Joshua, have been arrested and charged in Takoff’s death.

Joshua was arrested in Houston on November 22, 2022 and charged with felony unlawful carry of a weapon. The 16-year-old rapper, who goes by the name Lil Cam and is allegedly affiliated with J. Prince Jr.’s Mob Ties Records, is believed to have been in attendance at the private party where TakeOff was murdered.

Diddy’s Homes in Beverley Hills and Miami Raided by the Feds

Sean 'Diddy' Combs Rebrands Combs Enterprises to Combs Global as Business Portfolio Expands

Federal authorities, specifically Homeland Security, have raided Diddy’s Beverley Hills home. Local law enforcement is present, but Homeland Security is believed to be leading the raid.

According to TMZ, helicopters hover over Diddy’s home, and people are being questioned. Law enforcement is walking through the house with guns drawn.

At the same time, Diddy’s home in Miami is also being raided. It is currently unknown if Diddy was present at either home at the time of entry.

Video from the scene is available below.

Earlier this month, a federal judge ruled a woman who accused Diddy of sex trafficking and gang rape must identify herself.

According to Billboard, Judge G.L. Clarke stated the woman had failed to prove that she could proceed with the case anonymously. Clarke also acknowledged identifying “could have a significant impact” on the woman.

“While the court does not take plaintiff’s concerns lightly, the Court cannot rely on generalized, uncorroborated claims that disclosure would harm plaintiff to justify her anonymity,” Judge Jessica G. L. Clarke wrote.

The accuser’s identity will be revealed after Diddy’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit is heard.

Diddy is looking to bring in some help in battling his rape lawsuit. Legal journalist Meghann Cuniff reports Diddy has brought in Ghislaine Maxwel”s attorney, Bobbi Sternheim, for representation.

Sternheim once was the president of the New York Women’s Bar Association and also defended Osama Bin Laden’s aide, Khaled al-Fawwaz, in the bombings of two U.S. embassies.

Diddy’s lawsuit was filed in 2023, stating he and Harve Pierre orchestrated “a sex trafficking scheme that involved plying [Jane Doe] with alcohol and transporting her by private jet to New York City where she was gang-raped.”

Harve Pierre, former president of Bad Boy Records, was also sued for grooming and sexually assaulting his assistant. The lawsuit states Pierre’s allegations by his assistant occurred “on multiple occasions in New York City and other locations throughout the country” and “used his position of authority as plaintiff’s boss to groom, exploit, and sexually assault her.”

The assistant now seeks damages that will “fully and fairly compensate” for the assault. Bad Boy Entertainment, Bad Boy Records, and Combs Enterprises are listed in the suit.

“We have recently become aware of a lawsuit filed in New York by a former employee,” a spokesperson for Bad Boy Records said to Rolling Stone. “The allegations are from many years ago that were never brought to the attention of the company. Neither the plaintiff nor the executive are current employees of the company. We are now investigating the allegations, and our top priority is the safety and well-being of our employees.”

The development came less than a week after Diddy settled a lawsuit with Cassie over accusations that included domestic violence and rape. According to TMZ, the suit was ended in New York on Monday. The doc reads, “Pursuant to an agreement between the parties, Plaintiff hereby dismisses this action, with prejudice and without costs or fees to either party.”

“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” Cassie said after the settlement. “I want to thank my family, fans, and lawyers for their unwavering support.”
