“Euphoria” Actress Reveals Struggles Caused By Show’s Sporadic Filming Schedule

Nika King, who plays Zendaya’s mom in Euphoria has revealed that she has not been able to afford rent for six months. Furthermore, she has struggled to find work outside of the show. Speaking at a standup event this week, King revealed she is six months behind on her rent due Euphoria‘s intermittent filming schedule, the SAG-AFTRA strike, and her struggle to book other gigs in the meantime.

Euphoria has been on an inconsistent filming schedule for the last year or so. Whether it was due to the death of cast member Angus Cloud, the aforementioned Hollywood strikes, or other issues, the work on season three has been slow. Furthermore, the reason that King is struggling financially is because actors are only paid for the work they do. This is instead of actors because paid as a salaried employee. If the cameras aren’t rolling, they aren’t getting paid. While people like Zendaya can likely weather this, it’s a much harsher reality for people like King.

Family Of Late Euphoria Star Sued For Unpaid Debts

Meanwhile, the estate of aforementioned Cloud has been sued by multiple parties over a number of outstanding debts. Plaintiffs include Cloud’s manager Diomi Cordero, who is reportedly owed over $94,000, and Verizon, who is reportedly owed over $4,000. These suits list Cloud’s mother Lisa as the primary defendant as she is the sole executor of her son’s estate.

Cloud died last year as a result of an accidental overdose. Cloud passed away on July 31, less than a week after he buried his father in Ireland. “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways. Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health. We hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence,” his family wrote in a statement at the time.

Kanye West & Bianca Censori’s Penthouse Rent Costs $20K/Month While Rapper’s Mansion Remains Unfinished

Kanye West has been said to be facing serious financial struggles for some time now. Nevertheless, that’s not stopping the father of four from dishing out a reported $20K per month in rent. According to Radar Online, he and his wife Biance Censori have shacked up in West Hollywood. They’re renting a two-bedroom, two-bathroom penthouse not far from the recently established Yeezy headquarters on Melrose Avenue. “It’s a gorgeous apartment and the interior is very Ye. It’s a unique spot which is an architect’s dream,” an insider close to the couple dished of their home.

Prior to that, they were staying at the Nobu Ryokan hotel, all while Ye’s Malibu mansion remains uninhabited and reportedly rotting away. At the luxury hotel (which has a minimum two-night stay), the Yeezy founder and Censori were paying $2K a night. His mansion, which he purchased in 2021 for $57M, has been a hot topic lately, particularly after it was revealed that he dissolved his Yeezy Construction Inc. company in November.

At the time, West suddenly halted work on his home. Insiders reveal that the Japanese-inspired residence, designed by Tadao Ando, has since been completely gutted. While that project obviously didn’t work out as expected, the architect has received massive praise for the work he did on Jay-Z and Beyonce’s recently purchased California mansion. The $200M deal broke records in the state, where the power couple now officially owns the most expensive home ever purchased.

It remains unclear what the embattled artist plans to do with his property, but according to recent reports, his fortune is back on the way up as he’s allegedly already made a staggering amount from the continued sale of Yeezy at Adidas. Do you think Kanye West will ever finish his mansion? Let us know in the comments, and check back later for more hip-hop/pop culture news updates.

Drake Lists Home Studio For $250K An Hour

Drake’s always one to make money moves, but letting fans into his property seems like an extra step ahead. Moreover, the Toronto superstar recently put his home studio up for rent on the popular recording space app StuFinder. Not only that, but an hour in Drizzy’s studio costs a staggering $250,000 dollars, so those sessions better be quick. Still, the listing mentions that all custom recording equipment forms part of the price, making it almost all-access. Amid new music releases and more on the way, an engineer and Drake feature won’t come with the hourly price range, and likely costs a lot extra.

Furthermore, the 36-year-old recently showed a new song “Rescue Me” on Sound 42’s latest episode of The Fry Yiy Show on SiriusXM. What’s more is that, beyond excitement for a new record, he sampled a voice clip from Kim Kardashian. That already would’ve been enough to stir the pot. However, she actually talks about her divorce from Kanye West in the clip, adding another layer to their civil war. “I didn’t come this far, just to come this far and not be happy. Remember that,” she remarks in the snippet.

Drake’s Studio Available For $250K An Hour

Still, it’ll take some further convincing to fully win Drake fans in Latin America back, for reasons that neither a studio rental nor new song can replace. The 6 God unfortunately fell victim to some festival mishaps for his Lollapalooza shows throughout March. For example, his Argentina set was reportedly late, shortened, and blocked from the festival’s typical livestream, resulting in disappointment. Things escalated further when he canceled his headlining slot in Brazil, only to be spotted in Miami partying with 50 Cent the night before. Despite fan outcry, that’s not necessarily (or probably) the reason why he changed plans.

Meanwhile, another unreleased track also has fans ready for even more new Drake music after two albums last year. “I need someone to be patient with me / Someone to get money, would not take it from me,” he raps on an Instagram snippet. “They don’t even need to be as famous as me / I don’t think I meet ’em at the places I be / But deep down I think about you all day, mami.” Maybe that kind of excitement is what might prompt artists to create their own OVO-tinged magic in the superstar’s studio. Regardless, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Drake.

Twitter Is Being Sued For Not Paying Rent

Although his Twitter purchase officially went down in October, Elon Musk is continuing to be all over the headlines.

However, the Tesla CEO is certainly no stranger to being in the middle of controversy.

According to The Guardian, the social media platform is now being sued over missed rent payments. The landlord, Columbia REIT 650 California LLC, alleges that there’s a balance of $136, 260 in unpaid rent at one of Twitter’s San Fransisco offices. The landlord also wants Musk to pay damages for attorney’s fees and other expenses.

Evidently, the 51-year-old is trying to cut the company’s costs by any means necessary. Just last week, reports from The New York Times alleged that the SpaceX CEO is responsible for firing the company’s entire janitorial staff.

Furthermore, Musk officially became the first person ever to lose $200 billion earlier this week. This comes as a result of the drastic decline in Tesla’s stocks. According to Bloomberg‘s Billionaires Index, the share’s value sunk by 11% on December 27.

It certainly seems as though being the CEO of Twitter is causing the billionaire plenty of stress. He even ran a poll asking the platform’s users to vote on whether or not they think he should step down from the position.

After receiving more than 17 million votes, 55.7% of them answer yes to the question. “I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams,” the 51-year-old says in response to the results.

Kanye West’s L.A. Yeezy Office Facing Eviction: Report

Kanye West is reportedly in danger of facing eviction from his Yeezy office in Los Angeles. Court documents obtained by The Blast cite Ye’s apparel company as being $63,254 behind on rent.

“Within three days after service of this notice on you, you must pay the amount of said rent in full or quit said premises and deliver up possession of the same to the authorized agent for your landlord,” the eviction notice reads.

The company renting Ye the property, CT Calabasas, wants him out within 72 hours.

The documents continue: “If you fail to pay or quit, legal proceedings will be instituted against you for possession of the premises, forfeiture of the agreement, and for monetary damages as may be allowed by law. You are further notified that by this Notice the Landlord elects to and does hereby declare a forfeiture of said Lease if said rent is not paid in full within three (3) days.”

CT Calabasas claims West agreed to pay $31,477.40 a month for the office space back in 2015. At the time, West listed the Yeezy brand as simply “West Brands Fashion.” The property totals 15,000 square feet of office space.

The eviction notice comes after West’s net worth took a substantial hit over the last month. Due to countless antisemitic remarks and other controversial behavior, Ye has lost out on numerous business deals.

In addition to rent troubles, the Yeezy brand reportedly also owes over $600,000 in unpaid taxes. West previously estimated himself as owing $50 million in total taxes during an appearance on the Timecast IRL podcast.
