Summer Walker Caught On FaceTime With Lil Meech

One of pop culture’s most talked-about rumored romances just got another big hint online. Moreover, Summer Walker seemingly posted a screenshot of producer Jay Versace’s Instagram page with the caption “@jay get on my nerves lol.” However, what most fans noticed is that Lil Meech was in the corner of the screenshot, apparently on a FaceTime call with Summer. Not only that, but the R&B star quickly deleted the post and put up another story with the caption, “Oh wow I’m slow as f**k.” Given that Meech wrote that “Summer is [his],” people are even more prone to take any hint they can get that they’re together.

Still, Summer Walker has a lot to look forward to as far as upcoming releases, so she probably knows what she’s doing. During her performance at this year’s Dreamville Festival, she confirmed that her next project, the Clear 2: Soft Life EP, will release on May 19. While this is far from the first hint we’ve gotten of their potential fling, a new music release puts all that conversation into context. Still, nothing official as of yet, and maybe she wants us to listen to the EP for answers.

Summer Walker Seemingly FaceTimes With Lil Meech

Regardless, fans are incredibly excited for the 27-year-old’s first solo project since 2021’s album Still Over It. Unfortunately, Summer Walker’s personal journey also faced some hate online, but she brushed it off gracefully. “27 w 3 kids. Sounds like you rich in misery to me,” one user commented under her post celebrating her 27th birthday. “I would literally be SO sad if I ain’t have 3 kids right now,” the “Playing Games” singer clapped back. “Once I sign some more checks Ima have more.”

Meanwhile, Walker wasn’t the only half of this couple to celebrate a recent birthday. 50 Cent took to Instagram to congratulate Lil Meech on his 23rd. If this is all for show, then hats off to Summer Walker for a great promotional rollout. However, Meech’s enthusiasm suggests that there really is something deeper there, and fans want to know. On that note, come back to HNHH for the latest news and updates on Summer Walker and Lil Meech.

Wale Is Not Answering Your FaceTime Calls

Don’t try to FaceTime Wale. Don’t even try to call him on the phone. The rapper has revealed that he refuses to answer calls due to his introverted nature. Wale, who is now 38 years old, says that he feels overwhelmed by the calls. It may seem like an insignificant comment, but it says a lot about how the cultural climate has shifted in terms of mental health and boundaries. For many, Wale likely included, there was a time when not answering a phone call or a text immediately was considered extremely rude. It didn’t matter if you were busy or overwhelmed. That’s just the way it was. Now, with mental health having become such a popular topic of conversation, it seems that many find it easier to express themselves freely. Wale is just one of many artists that have begun openly speaking about their mental health and setting boundaries publicly.

Since the advent of the age of constant communication and instant gratification, it seems pretty clear that mental health has taken a sharp decline for many, many people. Having to always be “on” affects everyone, celebrity or not. This is largely in part due to things like social media and cell phones, which have allowed us to be watched and communicated with at all times. In the past, you may have been able to take some time to think about what you wanted to say before you said it. Now, if you don’t reply to a message or speak out on an issue quickly enough, you’re maligned for it. FaceTime is yet another avenue of communication that expects you to be ready to speak face-to-face at all times. Luckily, the conversation is changing, and more and more people are speaking out on the effects of these technological advancements on mental health.

The Mental Health Movement

On his Instagram stories, Wale made it clear that he has no intention of taking FaceTime calls anymore. It was a refreshingly candid post that represents what a large majority of people have been feeling in regard to these types of communication. In the story, which he signed off as “overwhelmed introvert”, Wale said, “Don’t ever FaceTime me. Please and thank u. My phone is broke and even if it’s new it’s broke… FaceTime don’t work. Thank you.”

Wale is not the only celebrity that’s making headlines for speaking out on his mental health and boundaries this week. Andre Drummond, player for the Chicago Bulls, has also announced that he is taking a break from all social media and changing his number due to mental health issues. Recently, many others have done the same. The Game, Selena Gomez, Killer Mike, and SZA are just a few of the big names that have spoken publicly about mental health. With any luck, the movement will be taken more seriously as more people in the public eye continue to talk about it. What are your thoughts on the movement to prioritize mental health? North West Interrupts Kim Kardashian’s Video While FaceTiming Lala Anthony About Ice Spice

North West interrupted Kim Kardashian’s IG Story video with an important update: she plotted with Lala Anthony via FaceTime to bring Ice Spice to the Kardashian home. Overall, it was a pretty wholesome exchange, as Kim was with her son Psalm and Lala’s one of her best friends. Moreover, the reality TV superstar enjoyed a brief moment of cuteness with Psalm before North threw Anthony in her face. Kim even seemed surprised at the call, which just shows North is savvier than you might expect. After all, who better to call than a beloved celebrity to try to link up with a beloved celebrity? Given North’s recent portrait of Ice Spice, it’s clear she’s a big fan.

“What is that? Cheese!” Kim told her son at the start of her video. “Look at my little baby. What’s that, peace sign?” Furthermore, Psalm smiled at the camera and put his hand up to say hello. Then, North interrupts her filming with Lala on the phone, which prompts a squeal from Psalm. “Oh hey!” the SKIMS mogul exclaimed when she saw Lala on North’s screen. “What are you doing? When my daughter is FaceTiming my best friend,” she said while showing North’s screen to the camera. Of course, Lala knew to pose for the Gram as well.

North & Lala Interrupt Kim With Ice Spice Fandom

“I was trying to make a video. What are you guys talking about?” Kim asked. Anthony responded, “We talkin’ about Ice Spice. We talkin’ about her coming to yours, we talkin’ about her coming to visit me…” Furthermore, Kim confirmed that the Bronx MC is North’s newest obsession. “Ice Spice, that’s all North cares about,” the social media royal stated at the end of her video.

Meanwhile, even Spice herself responded to North’s viral portrait of her. Moreover, TMZ reporters caught up with her in Brooklyn and asked her if she saw the drawing. “I did, it was so cute!” she exclaimed. “Thank you, North.” Also, she did a great job of dodging paparazzi questions about Kanye West, and Kim and North posted a funny TikTok with her PinkPantheress collab “Boy’s a liar Pt. 2” shortly after. As always, stay tuned to HNHH for more wholesome family moments from the Kim Kardashian camp.

Drake Wasn’t Happy That Game Streamer IShowSpeed Called His Voice ‘Sexy’ On A FaceTime Call

Drake’s usually got a great sense of humor about all the jokes people make about him, but it turns out that even he has a limit.

The Toronto singer has been popping up on gaming streams a bunch lately, cozying up to Gen Z’s version of rap stars. This week, he surprised IShowSpeed, a streamer famous for his viral reactions to games, via a FaceTime call. The two talked about soccer a bit, including whether Drake was a bigger fan of Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.

However, when things took a turn, Drake was apparently too flustered to continue the conversation.

As Drake told IShowSpeed how much he appreciated him, Speed made things a little too awkward by complimenting Drake’s voice. “You’re doing your thing,” Drake said. “I was talking about you the other day in the car … I’m proud of you, for real.”

Speed complimented him in return, saying, “Bro, your voice is so sexy. How is it so smooth like that? How your voice so smooth like that?” Immediately after that, the call dropped. Whether Drake meant to hang up due to the comment, lost service, or had some other pressing concern, it looks like the streamer felt like he blew his shot.

“He’s not gonna answer the phone again, bro,” he said. “I didn’t mean — I said it wrong, bruh. I meant to say his voice is smooth, but I said it wrong. On God, I said it bad.”

A reminder to the kids out there… sometimes, you just gotta touch grass.

Drake, meanwhile, is $1.4 million richer thanks to some Super Bowl bets he called “psychotic” in the moment.

Damar Hamlin In Good Spirits On FaceTime With Meek Mill & Michael Rubin

Six days ago, the world was sent into shock when Buffalo Bills Safety, Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field. This is undeniably one of the worst sports injuries we’ve ever seen.

Ever since, we’ve been receiving updates on his status as they become available. In the most positive one yet, social media users began to spread photos of Hamlin smiling across social media on Saturday (January 7).

In the screenshot of the FaceTime call, Hamlin appears to be in good spirits while speaking to Meek Mill and Michael Rubin. “The volume of prayer on social media was at an all-time high this week. @danorlovsky7 even prayed on live TV. We are seeing those prayers get answered right before our eyes. Keep them coming! God is so good,” writes journalist Nick Veronica in a tweet.

The world was witness to the 24-year-old collapsing on the field during last week’s Monday Night Football game. He reportedly went into cardiac arrest due to the immense impact of a tackle he was making. After taking him to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, they were initially listing him in critical condition.

Of course, the injury occurred during the first quarter of the highly-anticipated match between Hamlin’s Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. The NFL says that the teams will not be playing that game at all now.

The medical staff at the hospital are responsible for removing his breathing tubes on Friday (January 6), as he continued to make phenomenal progress in his recovery. “Per the physicians at UCMC, Damar’s breathing tube was removed overnight. He continues to progress remarkably in his recovery. His neurologic function remains intact and he has been able to talk to his family and care team,” writes the team in a tweet.

Also on Saturday (January 7), the Bills’ Safety took to his Instagram account to speak publicly. This was the first time he was doing so since the injury. “When you put real love out into the world it comes back to you 3x’s as much. The Love has been overwhelming, but I’m thankful for every single person that prayed for me and reached out. We bring the world back together behind this. If you know me you know this only gone make me stronger. On a long road keep praying for me,” he writes in the post’s caption.

It’s certainly great to hear that Hamlin is well on his way to recovery following the horrifying incident. We hope he will be out of the hospital soon. Finally, make sure to stay tuned to HNHH for all of the latest updates.
