The State of Georgia vs. Donald Trump: Former President Trump Hit with RICO in Attempt to Reverse Georgia Election Results

Donald Trump Hints at Possible 2024 Presidential Run

Donald Trump has received his fourth indictment, a RICO charge, in the state of Georgia for attempting to overturn election results in the state to stay in power. Trump, his advisors, and staff are accused of organizing a “criminal enterprise” against official election results. A grand jury handed down the indictment.

A new 100-page indictment names Trump and 18 others as charged with lying to Georgia legislature and state officials, creating a fake pro-Trump slate for the Electoral College, harassing election workers, engaging in a cover-up, and four more crimes. There are officially 41 counts. Of those indicted are Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, and Kenneth Chesebro.

The leading charge against Trump was issued under the RICO law, short for Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations, originally set to target the mafia and organized crime. The RICO law has been notable throughout Hip-Hop, specifically regarding the YSL chase involving Young Thug. The charges against Trump and Thugger were both brought forth by Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis.

Trump and his co-defendants now have until Aug. 25 to surrender to Fulton County, GA. “We look forward to a detailed review of this indictment, which is undoubtedly just as flawed and unconstitutional as this entire process has been,” Trump’s legal team said in response.

According to The New York Times, once Trump is arraigned, a judge will be assigned who will schedule the trial.

Returning to Truth Social, his Twitter/X alternative, Trump blasted the charges by issuing, “So, the Witch Hunt continues!” Trump also attacked Willis, writing she is an out of control and very corrupt District Attorney who campaigned and raised money on, ‘I will get Trump.’”

WATCH: Megan Thee Stallion Blasts Her Haters in Post Tory Lanez Sentencing Return to Stage

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion took the stage for the first time since Tory Lanez’s sentencing, and she had one strong message: “F*ck all my haters.”

Hot Girl Meg continued, “None of that shit you was doing or saying broke me.”

Tory Lanez‘s time behind bars for the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion will be closer to nine years instead of the previously sentenced 10. Lanez will get credit for the time served.

“Lanez will be credited for 231 days he’s already spent in jail,” court reporter Meghann Cuniff wrote on Twitter. “He gets 15% credit of 34 days. Herriford also is crediting his 40 days of house arrest, for a total of 305 days. He’ll request bail pending appeal, which will be heard Aug. 15.”

Cuniff also noted that the possibility of bail is extremely unlikely.

Tory Lanez will be behind bars for a while, serving time for his shooting of Megan Thee Stallion. Lanez’s lawyer, Jose Baez, spoke with TMZ and stated the rapper is “feeling pretty low” and is processing the sentence. He added that the Chixtape rapper would deal with the sentence as best as he could.

Baez also noted that Tory would lean on his faith in God and his fans and family’s support system. Baez also states that they are still fighting for an appeal.

Tory Lanez’s time is to be spent in a California state prison.

The verdict was delivered after a 10-minute argument by Alex Bott on behalf of prosecutors and 20 minutes of defense from Jose Baez. Judge Herriford issued the ruling.

During the hearing, Tory Lanez spoke for several minutes, according to reporter Meghann Cuniff, where he said Megan is “someone I still care for dearly to this day” and said, “the victim’s my friend.”

He also would speak about the mutual loss of their mothers. “We both lost our mothers. We would sit there and drink, and drink until we got numb,” Tory Lanez said.

Today In Hip Hop History: N.W.A. Released Their Second Project ‘100 Miles And Runnin’ 33 Years Ago

On this date in 1990, “the world’s most dangerous group” dropped their second album and only EP, 100 Miles And Runnin on the Ruthless/.Priority label.

This was also the first release by N.W.A. sans their lead songwriter and most celebrated emcee O’Shea “Ice Cube” Jackson after a contract dispute forced the now famed rapper/actor to make his infamous departure from the group. This 5-track project was the first to throw a dart in the beef between between Ice Cube and N.W.A., which led to the Cube’s legendary “No Vaseline” diss.

Even without Cube, 100 Miles reached platinum status in just under two years and for the first time, the crew could actually thank radio play for helping to push the album.

The EP’s title track is probably the most memorable of the project, being that the songs appears on the EP as well as the on N.W.A’s Greatest Hits. “Real Niggaz”, one of the project’s most celebrated b-sides, also appeared on the group’s final album, Niggaz4Life.

Salute to Dj Yella, Mc Ren, Dr. Dre and the late Eazy -E for this timeless piece of Hip Hop history!

Early Monday morning, NBA Insider Shams Charania shared a video from Harden’s China tour for Adidas in which he blasts 76ers president Daryl Morey. Morey and Harden have a relationship dating back to the Houston Rockets.

“Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of,” Harden told those gathered. “Let me say that again: Daryl Morey is a liar and I will never be a part of an organization that he’s a part of.”

On Saturday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski ended trade talks for Harden, who has a preferred destination of the Los Angeles Clippers. Harden picked up his $35.6 million player option but the Sixers’ request for Harden was too high for most bidders.
