Ella Mai Announces She’ll Be Releasing A Deluxe Edition Of ‘Heart On My Sleeve’

Ella Mai has some big plans for the new year — along with planning for her upcoming tour — the London singer has just announced she will be releasing a deluxe version of her Heart On My Sleeve album. The album, which was released this past May, featured some of music’s top artists, including Latto, Roddy Ricch, and Lucky Daye. The 15-track project was produced by Mai’s longtime collaborator DJ Mustard.

Mai shared the announcement on her official Instagram account, as well as dropping her upcoming North American tour dates.

“And now for my favorite part of it all! THE HEART ON MY SLEEVE TOUR – NORTH AMERICA,” she wrote. “Head to ellamai.com for presale information, general tickets [are] on sale this Friday, 1.27. I’ve been waiting for this for as long as you have & I cannot wait to see you sooooooooon.HEART ON MY SLEEVE DELUXE EDITION ON THE WAY.”

While there has been no official release date for the deluxe project, it will presumably be coming soon.

Mai’s upcoming tour will trek through 34 cities (including New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and more), kicking off its first show in March at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut.

Tickets for the Heart On My Sleeve Tour will be available for pre-sale on Wednesday, January 25, at 10 a.m., with general tickets going on sale Friday, January 27.

Ella Mai Will Bring Her ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ Album On A North American Tour

Ella Mai announced that she would be going on tour in 2023. The London singer’s North American tour will make pitstops in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and more. The tour is on the heels of her second album, Heart On My Sleeve, which was released this past May. The DJ Mustard-produced project featured artists like Latto, Roddy Ricch, and Lucky Daye.

The “Boo’d Up” singer recently collaborated with iconic producer, singer, and songwriter Babyface for his Girls Night Out album, which features other female artists like Baby Tate, Doechii, CoCo Jones, and more.

Mai’s 34-city tour will kick off in March at the Toyota Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, Connecticut. The Grammy winner has not announced if anyone will join her for the tour, but fingers are crossed.

Tickets for the Heart On My Sleeve Tour will be available for pre-sale starting Wednesday, January 25, at 10 a.m., with general tickets going on sale Friday, January 27.

Babyface and Ella Mai Exude Romantic Opulence in “Keeps On Fallin’” Official Video

Babyface Ella Mai

Babyface and Ella Mai unveil the official video for their new single “Keeps On Fallin’.”

The modern R&B track’s opulent romantic visual grabs its inspiration from Regency-era courtship rituals. Starring Emmy and GRAMMY winning actress/comedian Tiffany Haddish as the queen mother and Kendrick Sampson (Miss Juneteenth, “Insecure“) as the handsome prince who is courting Ella Mai. Babyface, who plays a duke, joins them for an extravagant meal as a string quartet plays while the bubbly flows.

“Keeps On Fallin’” is the first single from Babyface’s new project, Girls Night Out, set to be released by Capitol Records on October 21.

Described as a sonic journey through love, heartbreak and all of the emotions in between, Girls Night Out will give classic Babyface with a modern R&B twist. The album features the iconic hitmaker collaborations with some of today’s most sought after female R&B stars, including Ari Lennox, Queen Naija, Doechii, Kehlani and more.

Take a look at the new visual from Babyface featuring Ella Mai shot at the historic Malibu estate Villa De Leon by director/cinematographer Ava Rikki.

Ella Mai Gets Her Groove Back In The Retro-Styled ‘How’ Video With Roddy Ricch

Don’t cross Ella Mai, or she and her associates will make you regret it. That’s the basic premise of the London-bred, LA-based singer’s new, retro-styled video for “How” featuring Roddy Ricch and Mustard. In it, Ella is stuck in an unfulfilling relationship with a very wealthy man, and with the help of her comrades Mustard and Roddy, plots an escape that leaves her beau breathless — literally and permanently. In the final shots, she hits the road with a car full of luggage, presumably to get her groove back.

“How” is the third single from Ella Mai’s second album, Heart On My Sleeve, which also features the singles “Not Another Love Song” and “DFMU” and appearances from Latto, Roddy, and Lucky Daye. The album was once again executive produced by Mustard and released through 10 Summers and Interscope Records on May 6, debuting at No. 15 on the US Billboard 200 with 20,000 album-equivalent units — the majority in pure album sales. If there’s truly an R&B renaissance taking place, Ella Mai is certainly at its forefront; Heart On My Sleeve landed at No. 2 on Billboard‘s Top R&B Albums chart.

Meanwhile, “How” co-star Roddy Ricch has been enjoying a bounce-back summer behind his new EP, The Big 3, which made up for the disappointing reception for his own sophomore album Live Life Fast.
