Donald Trump did not want to divulge his stance on abortion laws in Florida. The former President was cornered and asked how he voted, but he attempted to sidestep the question. He tried to redirect things towards his own achievements while in office, but those in attendance did not let him off the hook. One reporter, in particular, asked Donald Trump a second time about his stance on abortion. This led to a very awkward moment in which the Republican nominee snapped at the reporter and told her to stop bringing the topic up.

The exchange went down on Election Day. Donald Trump initially balked at the notion of speaking up on abortion rights, and decided to heap praise upon himself instead. “[I] did a great job bringing it back to the state,” he remarked to those gathered around him. The “bringing back” Trump is alluding to is likely referencing the overturning of Roe vs. Wade that occurred during his lone presidential term. When the aforementioned reporter asked about Trump’s stance on abortion, he snapped. He told the woman in questioned that they “should just stop talking about that.”

The measure the reporter inquired about would drastically alter abortion rights in Florida. If approved, it would prevent state lawmakers from passing laws that prohibits abortion until fetal viability. This is said to be around 21 weeks, according to Newsweek. Donald Trump touched on the concept of abortion rights in a recent campaign rally. He once again sidestepped the topic, however. He instead claimed to be a “protector” of women, and insisted that abortion wouldn’t be an issue if he was elected.

As president, I have to be your protector,” Donald Trump told the rally crowd. “[Women] will be happy, healthy, confident and free. You will no longer be thinking about abortion.” Trump may not have wanted to talk about his vote, but Floridians made a decision regarding the abortion measure on November 4. It was confirmed by NBC News that the state rejected the proposal. It needed 60% of the vote to pass, but fell short with 57%.

Fat Joe took an impassioned stance on November 4. The rapper took the stage at Kamala Harris’ campaign rally in Pennsylvania to address Latino voters. Fat Joe addressed the elephant in the room, which were the racially insensitive comments made about Puerto Ricans during a recent Donald Trump rally. He claimed that Trump does not care about Latinos within the United States, and urged those who are planning to vote for the former President to change their minds.

Fat Joe proudly acknowledged his Puerto Rican heritage before launching into a tirade against Trump. He questioned Latinos who planned to vote for Trump after the remarks made at his New York rally. “Where is your pride,” Fat Joe asked those in attendance. “The other day at Madison Square Garden, that was no joke… It was filled with so much hate. Calling Puerto Rico an ‘island of garbage?’” He also claimed that Donald Trump took steps to prevent aid from getting to the U.S. territory during his presidency.

“The man went and blocked the aid for Puerto Rico for Hurricane Maria,” the Terror Squad rapper said. “What are we doing here? The man blocked the aid for Puerto Rico’s recovery.” Fat Joe countered these actions with those taken by Kamala Harris. “Kamala went out there and dealt with the people. The other day, this was no coincidence, this was on purpose.” Joe went on to call Harris his “friend,” and a U.S. candidate that will serve as a great leader. He even referred to her as the “next president of the United States of America.”

This is not the first time Joe has made his political beliefs known. The rapper has been everywhere in 2024, from performing at the World Series to hosting the BET Awards. It was during the latter that Harris aired a video in which she addressed various political issues. She talked about her plan to fix the country and Fat Joe and Too Short were among the rappers in attendance. There’s also Fat Joe Talks, the recent podcast series he launched in which he has repeatedly endorsed Kamala Harris’ presidency. “Hip hop is the voice of the people,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s always been the truth.”

Diddy Able To Cast Vote In U.S. Election From Behind Bars

Diddy may not be a free man at the moment, but he can still vote. TMZ confirmed that the disgraced mogul will still be able to cast a vote on election day. The law decrees that anyone who has yet to be convicted still has the right to vote. Diddy’s trial is not set to start until 2025. Diddy will have to use an absentee ballot mailed from the federal jail, but that should be no problem assuming he asked for one in time. TMZ claims that the mogul will be able to vote in the states in which he is registered in. This means he can do so in either California or Florida.

Diddy is best known for his outsized persona, or in recent times, the criminal allegations leveled at him. In the past however, the mogul has been a vocal political advocate. He helped launch Vote or Die in 2004, a campaign designed to make voting “cool” for younger people. The Bad Boy mogul toured U.S. cities and partnered with other celebrities to promote the “Vote or Die” slogan. Diddy retired the program during in 2008, despite being a vocal supporter of Barack Obama. In 2020, however, the hip hop superstar felt the need to bring it back.

Diddy made his support of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris crystal clear by rolling out a new line of “Vote or Die” merch. He put on a town hall titled “State of Emergency: Election Day and Black America” in September 20. The event featured appearances from Kerry Washington and Dr. Cornel West among others. He also used his Revolt network to release a series about voter suppression among Black voters. Diddy told Charlamagne tha God that politicians like Donald Trump needed to be removed from power in a Revolt TV interview the following month.

Interestingly enough, Diddy has been used as a political tool in recent weeks. Notable Republicans like Elon Musk and Danica Patrick have used Diddy’s connections to musicians to question the morality of those who have endorsed Kamala Harris. Eminem’s endorsement of Harris led to a tweet from Musk in which he labeled the rapper “yet another Diddy party participant.” Danica Patrick, meanwhile, mocked Cardi B and asserted that she has “never been to a Diddy party.”

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump are the two most potentially realistic winners this year and it seems like it will be a photo finish. As with all presidential campaigns, this one was just as controversial, but perhaps even more so when you think about it. The assassination attempt earlier this year will remain a mysterious and unfathomable moment and it could be looked at as a catalyst in Donald Trump possibly taking this election.

On top of that, both candidates in general are polarizing to the core. Their actions and comments during the debates and rallies angered and confused a lot of voters. But with almost zero doubt, one of them will be in office, whether America likes it or not. Speaking of confusion, the internet is quite perplexed at the moment thanks recent images and clips making the rounds. Trump and his wife Melania casted their votes in Palm Beach, Florida earlier today at the Morton and Barbara Mandel Recreation Center.

SOURCE SPORTS: NBA Sidesteps Election Day for Games, Opts to Promote Voting Instead

The NBA will not schedule any games on Election Day. Instead of promoting a matchup featuring LeBron James or Stephen Curry, the league will promote voting and sound off on the need for civic engagement.

The NBA schedule will be announced on Wednesday (Aug. 17), but according to NBC News correspondent Shaquille Brewster, Election Day (Nov. 8) will be vacant. The league sees the date as an opportunity to leverage its influence on voter participation.

“We don’t usually change the schedule for an external event,” James Cadogan, the Executive Director of the National Basketball Social Justice Coalition, said to NBC News. “But voting and Election Day are obviously unique and incredibly important to our democracy.”

The day before, all 30 teams will compete with the hometeam hosting an election-based themed fan night.

In 2020, the NBA transitioned 23 arenas and facilities into polling places for the election, an effort that will be replicated for this year’s Election Day.
