Chlöe Shares The Trailer For Her Hilarious-Looking Peacock Music Comedy, ‘Praise This’

While plenty of attention has been rightly heaped upon Halle Bailey for her role in the upcoming Little Mermaid remake lately, her sister Chlöe is also building her filmography — albeit, via some lower-profile releases. One of those releases is Praise This, a musical comedy coming to Peacock in April. Chlöe just shared the first trailer for the film on social media, and it looks like the perfect vehicle to show off her acting and singing chops at the same time.

According to Deadline, its studio, Universal Pictures, is apparently hoping for Pitch Perfect-esque franchise potential, and judging from the trailer, it certainly appears that the acapella comedy’s DNA is part of the genetic makeup of Praise This, along with a dash of Chlöe’s mentor Beyoncé’s own gospel-based musical comedy, Fighting Temptation.

Per Collider, Bailey will portray Sam, an aspiring singer who gets shipped off to Atlanta to live with her cousin Jess, played by Anjelika Washington. There, she joins Jess’s praise team as they prepare for a singing competition. The cast also includes comedian Druski and The Wire alum Tristan “Mack” Wilds. There’s also a cameo appearance by Quavo.

Praise This is coming to Peacock on April 7, 2023. You can watch the trailer above.

Druski Reveals How Jack Harlow Gets Him Shoes

In just a few weeks, Druski will embark on his nationwide comedy tour. The “Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda Tour” will begin on March 2 and end on July 15. Including 34 dates in 23 different states and the District of Columbia, this will be his first stand-up comedy tour. But before then, he paid a visit to Complex’s Sneaker Shopping YouTube show. This is the second time he’s been on the show, with his first taking place in October 2020. This time, he and host Joe La Puma hit a sneaker store in Atlanta.

For the first episode of their 17th season of Sneaker Shopping, Complex and Joe had some juicy questions for Druski. First, the two discussed how Druski used to always wear the black and red “Playoffs Bred” Jordan 11 shoes. Druski explained how he always rocked them because they were a gift and he “was broke.” Later on, Druski explained that he can’t wear shoes like Jordan 3s or Adidas Stan Smiths because they aren’t “fat n***a shoes” with support on the side.

Druski & Jack

The most riveting portion of the interview, though, came when La Puma asked Druski about his friendship with Jack Harlow. Druski, who was wearing an orange pair of New Balance 2002R “Refined Future” shoes, said Harlow is his NB supplier. Harlow, who has a shoe deal with New Balance, helps Druski get discounted pairs of sneakers. “He’s definitely something for New Balance, they’re giving him that check,” he said. “He always sends that shipment. I don’t gotta pay too much for New Balance. It’s a good plug to have for sure.”

At the end of the episode, Druski arrived at the counter to buy himself and his three friends a few pairs. After racking up a staggering bill though, he decided to remove his friends’ kicks and only buy shoes for himself and his mother. Decreasing the total from $10,312.83 to $2,395.80, he ended up taking home purple Jordan 4 Retros, Yeezy Boost 700s, Nike x Off-White Dunk Lows, another pair of Nike Dunk Lows, blue New Balances and a Hellstar T-shirt. Drake Inquires About Druski’s Tour On IG Live

Drake asked Druski about his upcoming tour on Instagram Live, earlier this week, revealing that the comedian didn’t have an answer. The stretch of shows is set to kick off on March 2 in Richmond, Virginia. The Coulda Woulda Shoulda Tour is scheduled to hit 30 venues in total through the end of May. Durski previously opened for Lil Baby and Chris Brown on their One of Them Ones Tour. He also served as the official host of J. Cole’s 2021 The Off-Season arena tour.

“I asked you what your tour was the other day you ain’t even have an answer you just said it’s a tough life I still don’t know what that means,” Drake wrote during one of Druski’s recent live streams on Instagram. The moment was caught in a screenshot by DJ Akademiks. It’s unclear whether Druski acknowledged the rapper.

Drake’s IG Live Comment

Drake and Druski have been friends for years. He joined Drake and Jack Harlow for the “Churchill Downs” video shoot during the Kentucky Derby. Druski also appeared in Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” video.

Druski originally announced the Coulda Woulda Shoulda Tour back in December. “It’s a dream come true to headline my own comedy tour,” he said in an official statement. “I’ve been fortunate to tour alongside several of the biggest musicians in the world and get valuable experience, but now I’m ready to take the next step in my career. I’m coming off my most successful year in comedy and it’s time to show the world my growth as an entertainer.”

Speaking with Billboard after the announcement, Durski explained that he got the idea for a tour while he was on the road with J. Cole, Chris Brown, and Lil Baby. “I think the idea started to cement itself in my mind when I was hosting shows on music tours for J. Cole and Chris Brown and Lil Baby,” Druski told the outlet. “It’s like this is my time to shine and finally step into that spotlight. I could continue doing stuff on social media forever, or I could jump somewhere else and prove I’m more than just an Internet star.”

“The album? Most likely this year,” Ice revealed. “Since I’m going to have ten songs, something like that or whatever, definitely going to be different vibes in there, for sure. I don’t want to talk too much on it because…you feel me? Got to keep the secret sauce a secret.”

“I’m just going with it. Those are six songs that I already made,” she said of her EP. “So, we pushing that right now. Fans going to eat that up. And then, it is always time to evolve and grow as an artist.”

“So, I’m not rushing to jump into another sound or rushing to do something different. If it happens, it happens. I just want everything to be natural. I just love it. Nah, not in any hurry. I know I’m here for a good time and a long time.”

“I just want to play…I be even having to struggle to find time for myself, really. So, how I’m going to find time for somebody else? Even for family and friends, and myself, I’m still like that little bit of time that I be having on the side is for them and me. N*ggas come last.”

Recently, Druski told Shannon Sharpe that he has a crush on Ice Spice. She hasn’t publicly responded, but we’ll have to see if these two link in the future.

Druski Reveals Why He Prefers LeBron Over Michael Jordan

Druski is one of the biggest comedians out there right now. His sketches are absolutely hilarious, and he has managed to create a massive following for himself. Subsequently, he has become extremely recognizable, and a ton of stars have tried to work with him.

Moving forward, Druski has the potential to become a massive movie star. Overall, he is beloved and he is showing no signs of slowing down. Recently, he even got to kick it with Shannon Sharpe on the former football legend’s show, Club Shay Shay.

Druski Chooses Sides

During his appearance on the show, he talked about a plethora of topics. However, one of the more interesting ones that came up involved the NBA. As someone who grew up in the LeBron generation, Sharpe felt it was necessary to ask the comedian who he prefers between James and Michael Jordan.

Interestingly enough, Druski picked LeBron James. Although, he did give an interesting reason that goes beyond the basketball court. Essentially, Druski doesn’t like the way MJ seems to “avoid black people.” Furthermore, the comedian noted that black people bought all of MJ’s clothes and shoes, although the Bulls legend rarely reciprocates the love. Meanwhile, LeBron is the opposite way.

This is a criticism that has been levied on Michael Jordan in the past. After all, Jordan was rumored to say “Republicans by sneakers too” which ultimately speaks to where MJ’s head is at most of the time. Either way, Sharpe appreciated Druski’s honesty, but more importantly, he was happy to see LeBron getting some love.

We’re sure the comedian’s answer is going to cause some debate here. Let us know how you felt about what he had to say, in the comments section down below. Additionally, keep it locked to HNHH for the latest news from around the sports world.

Druski Admits To Having A Crush On Ice Spice

You miss every shot you don’t take, and Druski is making his crush on Ice Spice known. The comedian has been lighting up the Hip Hop scene and has even shared the stage with several of our favorite artists. His good friend Jack Harlow has supported him at every turn, and thanks to Druski’s success, he’s launched other business ventures.

It’s common to find hilarious videos of Druski on social media, and often, he pops up on Livestream with his famous peers. Last month, he was seen with GloRilla and later Ice Spice. According to a new interview on Club Shay Shay, he’s trying to get to know the “Munch” rapper better.

“That’s who it was. Ice Spice. I was trying to get with Ice Spice,” Druski told Shannon Sharpe. “That was me. I still ain’t got a chance. I mean, I tried.”

Sharpe tried to encourage the comedian. “You can get her info!”

Druski replied, “Come on, man. You gotta let it ride. Gotta let it come to you. So, right now, I’m in that process. Shawty, if you watchin’, I’m here.”

Sharpe was under the impression that Druski at least had Ice Spice’s phone number.

“Nah, I don’t got her number,” the comedian answered. “How I said it—you gotta let it come to you ’cause at the end of the day, I’m the prize!”

Sharpe added that Spice is also a prize, so she and Druski could be two prizes coming together.

Druski played it cool and joked, “Yeah, she’s somethin’. She got a little something on her.” He was then asked if he was just kidding around or if he was seriously interested in the “In Ha Mood” rapper.

“I really would—I like shawty,” he said. “I ain’t—that’s why I told her, it ain’t even about the music and all that. To me, you gon’ get me.”

We’ll have to see what Ice Spice has to say, but as we wait, check out the clip above and the full interview below.

Druski Flirts With Ice Spice On “Coulda Been Records”

Slowly but surely, Druski is becoming one of the most exciting comedians in the entertainment industry. Next year, the Georgia-bred comedian will embark on his first-ever headlining comedy tour, titled the Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda Tour. The tour’s title is, in part, inspired by his ongoing Coulda Been Records Livestream series, and on Christmas Eve, Druski hosted one as a gift to his fans.

For his latest Coulda Been Records Livestream, he once again put on a great show. The Instagram Live session was filled with celebrity appearances, including GloRilla, Charleston White, Kevin Hart, and more. However, rising rapper Ice Spice’s cameo is one that has everyone talking.

Ice Spice made an appearance on Druski’s Coulda Been Records Livestream

The “Munch (Feelin’ U)” rapper joined the party near the 50-minute mark of Druski’s latest livestream. During their conversation, Ice Spice jokes about “doing it big for Christmas” while showing off a small Christmas tree, and together, she and Druski playfully roast her for having “that one hit.” While those exchanges were comical enough, he really shook things up near the end of their conversation.

Before Ice Spice exits the live, Druski shoots his shot by asking her to send her number to him in the DMs. Ice Spice agreed and proceeded to promote her new song “in ha mood,” which was released exclusively pm SoundCloud. He cuts her off by saying “Aye, we’ll talk” with a menacing grin. Then, the second Ice Spice leaves the livestream, he starts clowning the “Bikini Bottom” rapper.

“We don’t give a fuck about that song. Bitch, DM me,” he laughs. “I don’t give a fuck about that song, baby girl. DM me. Um, yeah. Yeah, we’ll see.”

Shaq Asks GloRilla To Marry Him On Druski’s Live

It’s the holiday season- and, apparently, cuffing season for some people online. Even NBA stars are looking to score more off the court. Shaquille O’Neal recently asked GloRilla to marry him while she was with Druski on his Instagram live. Moreover, he commented “glo will u marry me” as the two had a conversation together. Since Shaq recently said that he was a “d**ckhead” in his previous marriage, it’s odd but funny to see the shots made.

Meanwhile, Druski was talking to the “FNF” rapper about new music, her next moves, and more. Specifically, the media personality was trying to get her to play some “street s**t.” The two were joking back and forth, teasing the new music, and switching between her look and the tracks. While Druski was trying to get fans some more heat, they were too busy laughing at Shaq’s comment. Many people urged Druski to invite Shaq onto the live as well, but either they didn’t notice or dismissed them.

With all of GloRilla’s success as of late, many might think Shaq is hopping on a bandwagon. However, the NBA icon is an OG. GloRilla said that he was one of the first celebrities to reach out to her after “F.N.F.” came out.

“It was so crazy, Shaq DM’d me,” the Memphis MC said. “I was like ‘Shaq?’ He said ‘I like your song, I like your new single.’ I clicked on his page ’cause I was like ‘Shaq?!’”

Funny enough, GloRilla didn’t know that Shaq was also a DJ. “He probably played your song, too,” said the radio host interviewing Glo back in July.

In all seriousness, GloRilla had an incredibly dominant breakout year. She released some of the best songs of the year, scored Grammy nominations, and came through with an impressive EP in Anyways… Life’s Great.

Druski Admits He’s Afraid Of NBA YoungBoy

Druski admitted that he’s afraid of NBA YoungBoy during an interview with Middleman Media on Thursday. The comedian had interacted with the rapper back in October after one of his jokes didn’t go over well.

“[I was] nervous as hell. I ain’t gon lie to you,” Druski said, as noted by HipHopDX. “YoungBoy one of them ones. He put that fear in your heart for real. He don’t play that bullshit.”

“I ain’t even seen him in person yet. That gun big. Them bullets big,” he responded. “You ain’t ever heard that saying: ‘You can be in the gym all day, you still gon’ get hit with this .40’? Knock yo’ ass back!”

Druski had gotten in trouble with YoungBoy when he joked about his fiancée, Jazlyn Mychelle. Commenting on an Instagram post of her, he wrote, “Bitch look like me.”

YoungBoy’s label, Never Broke Again LLC, replied “@druski this why y’all n****s be dying.” The two then interacted on Instagram Live, later in the week.

“Ah look, you got me on here! Don’t get to playing! Don’t make the joke outta me bruh,” YoungBoy said.

Druski responded, “I wanted you to join Coulda Been Records!”

The back and forth came just a month after YoungBoy and Jazlyn Mychelle welcomed their second child together. The birth brought the rapper’s total number of children to 10.

Druski is currently preparing to embark on his “Coulda Woulda Shoulda Tour.” He’ll be taking his comedic talents to New York, Miami, Chicago, Atlanta, and more throughout the spring. He previously performed as an opener on J. Cole’s “The Off-Season Tour” in 2021.
