50 Cent & LeBron James Have Wildly Different Reactions To Leaked Drake Diss

Drake’s leaked diss response to Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, and what feels like half the current rap game has hip-hop in a chokehold right now. Moreover, reactions from countless fans, fellow rappers, and big celebrities are flowing through the discourse river at a high speed, and this track isn’t even officially on streaming yet. As such, there’s still a fair share of skepticism and mystery surrounding it, which feels like quite the intentional choice considering that this beef is mostly for the fans and for the culture, not for the numbers. Regardless, it’s 99% confirmed that this really was Drizzy… recording it (writing it is another story), and the overall sentiment is: Nice!

For example, let’s take two opposite reactions to this Drake leak (no, not that one) that both seem to acknowledge it as a great showing. First is quite the seasoned competitor himself, LeBron James. He took to Twitter with an owl emoji and some fire emojis that followed, and then added this in another tweet: “Nothing like 2 heavyweights doing What They Do Best! For the love off [sic] the sport.” Furthermore, this is curious because the kid from Akron had co-signed Kendrick Lamar’s inciting diss, “Like That.” We wonder if Drizzy thinks this evens things out, or if he didn’t appreciate that praise at all despite LeBron being very friendly with both.

LeBron James Still Isn’t Picking Sides In Drake Beef

On the other hand is maybe the king of rap beefs, 50 Cent. He posted the leaked Drake diss in question and took the opposite stance from LeBron James, instead emphasizing that this is not competition “for the love of the sport”: it’s for blood. “All you [ninja emoji]’s got smoked by a light skinned N***a,” Fif captioned the clip. “LOL YALL BETTER GET HIGH AS A MOTHER FVCKER AND COME UP WITH SOMETHING!” As for his previous remarks on this whole beef, he had expressed a desire to talk with J. Cole following his apology to Kendrick Lamar for unknown reasons… probably not very forgiving ones.

50 Cent Is Definitely Picking A Side… For Now

Meanwhile, what do you think about this leaked diss track? What responses to it are resonating with you the most, and where do you think this will go from here? Whether you think there will be a Round 2 or not, let us know in the comments down below. Also, check back in with HNHH for more news and updates on 50 Cent, LeBron James, and Drake.

Unpacking The Weeknd & ASAP Rocky’s Shots At Drake On “WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU”

Drake is giving Thanos as rap’s biggest stars assemble to avenge his dominance of the game, his lackluster material… or something unknown behind the scenes. On Future and Metro Boomin’s new album WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU, it appears that Drake remains a focal point, similar to its March predecessor. But instead of Kendrick Lamar stealing the shine, these new (subliminal) disses are via two former collaborators, admirers, and friendly colleagues: The Weeknd and A$AP Rocky.

For those unaware, Abel Tesfaye almost joined OVO way back when, and the Harlem native embraced the 6ix God as of at least April of 2021. However, despite their history together, it seems like these two artists “picked a side” against Drake at some point, and now doubled down on that animosity. So how did they diss him on this new project?

The Weeknd’s Shots At Drake

The track “All To Myself” contains a seemingly overt shot at Drake. “I thank God that I never signed my life away” might see The Weeknd reference how Aubrey Graham almost signed him to OVO in 2011. The After Hours star ended up choosing Republic Records. Through sub-tweets, plus less overt and frequent connections and link-ups, many fans speculated that The Boy was not happy about this decision at all. Here’s an example of a December 2012 tweet that folks thought could’ve been aimed at Abel: “You won’t get away with just a thank you… you owe me a favor.”

Other potentially targeted lines on “All To Myself” are “They could never diss my brothers, baby,” possibly alluding to Drake and Metro Boomin’s traded shade, and “They shooters making TikToks,” potentially referencing OVO affiliate Baka Not Nice’s prolific presence on the social media platform. While other rumors claim the Certified Lover Boy also upset The Weeknd by trying to get with Bella Hadid after their breakup, these are unconfirmed. All these situations happened amid displays of love here and there, much like our next subject.

A$AP Rocky Takes Aim At Drizzy

A$AP Rocky’s appearance on “Show Of Hands” apparently references his supposed fling with Sophie Brussaux, the mother of Drake’s son Adonis, before or as their relationship was developing. “N***as in they feelings over women, what, you hurt or something? / I smash before you birthed, son, Flacko hit it first, son,” he raps on the cut. These rumors surfaced upon the release of 2018’s “The Story Of Adidon,” Pusha T’s diss that exposed Aubrey’s family to the world. While Rocky seemed to deny them online, his “F***in’ Problems” collaborator never addressed them.

“Show Of Hands” also seemingly references Drake’s recent releases (“Heard you dropped your latest s**t, funny how it just came and went“) and seeks actual conflict (“F**k keeping this s**t hip-hop, I wanna see a f**k n***a bleed out“). But considering their joint performances, a party with Rihanna in April 2021, and more public formalities, the feud that Rocky and The Weeknd supposedly have with Drake is still pretty vague. Still, speculation spread like wildfire that the “8AM In Charlotte” MC dissed his former flame, and Rocky’s current partner on For All The Dogs cut “Fear Of Heights.” Many also speculated that Rocky returned fire on Kid Cudi’s Insano earlier this year. As unclear and contradictory as these feuds might seem on the surface, there’s a strong possibility that Abel and Flacko finally picked a definitive side concerning their issues with Drake.

Charlamagne Tha God Thinks Drake Is Ducking Kendrick Lamar’s Smoke For This Reason

The Breakfast Club is weighing in yet again about the biggest question in rap right now: when will Drake and Kendrick Lamar face off? Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy, and Jess Hilarious all had different perspectives on what the Toronto superstar could do, and what the Compton creative’s plans and motivations are. “I got confidence in Drizzy. To rap!” Envy proposed. “No, he gon’ come back. I don’t know when, hopefully soon. You don’t think so? Nah, we acting like Drake ain’t got bars. Is that what we’re saying? Y’all stop it, man, y’all stop it!”

“Yeah, he can rap, but he ain’t got nothing on Kendrick Lamar,” Charlamagne Tha God remarked. “He better keep chilling with Sexyy Red, that’s what he better keep doing,” Jess Hilarious added. “Drake is phenomenal, Drake and Kendrick Lamar would be a phenomenal match-up,” Charlamagne clarified. “I’m just telling you, he don’t want it with Kung Fu Kenny. He don’t want it with Kung Fu Kenny.” “He can take A$AP [Rocky], he can take The Weekend, he can sing back,” Jess posited. “Drake is a smart championship fighter,” Tha God elaborated. “He knows the match he should not take. He been ducking this match for several years. Several!”

“Did people say that when he battled Meek, and him and Meek went back and forth?” DJ Envy asked. “That was a good fight for him, and he won that,” Charlamange Tha God responded. “But then he lost to Pusha, and he don’t want it with Kendrick. And if he do want it with Kendrick, then he need to show improvement. But if he chooses not to, I’m cool on that, too. But I just want him to know that the opp is Kendrick Lamar. Kendrick is the one that wants the fight. Kendrick has been challenging him for several, several years.”

“Okay, well, maybe he’s gonna do it on his time, right?” DJ Envy suggested. “He’s not going to listen to your social media antics and he’s going to do it on his time when he wants to do it.” “I’m not mad at that, either,” Tha God concluded. The Weeknd Appears To Be Dissing Drake On “WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU”

If you have been paying the slightest attention to news in hip-hop, you know that everyone seems to be on the “screw Drake” energy. Artists have been sending shots at The Boy for years. However, the animosity has been at an all-time high in 2024. It ramped up immediately after Kendrick Lamar’s direct attack on “Like That” from Metro Boomin and Future’s WE DON’T TRUST YOU. Now, three weeks later, the list of names has expanded on the sequel project WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU. The Weeknd is one of the next people to be dissing Drake and we are here to breakdown the lyrics.

The bars up for discussion appear on one The Weeknd’s many features on the album, “All to Myself.” It goes on the second verse where Abel is actually singing his diss. “They could never diss my brothers, baby (Future) / When they got leaks in they operation / I thank God that I never signed my life awayThey shooters makin’ TikToks / Got us laughin’ in the Lambo (Yeah).” It seems what The Weeknd is focusing on with Drake are the subtle attacks toward Future and Metro, as well as OVO versus XO.

Fans React To The Weeknd Dissing Drake

Drake and Tesfaye were close early on in their careers, especially during the years of Take Care and Kiss Land. Drizzy was looking to sign the fellow Canadian to his OVO label, but he declined it. There was also speculation that Drake was taking too much credit for The Weeknd’s career, while simultaneously not giving the R&B icon enough kudos for the work he did on Take Care. They have not worked together since the Kiss Land cut “Live For” back in 2013. With everyone coming for his neck, The Weeknd decided this was the right time to fire away.

What are your thoughts on The Weeknd supposedly dissing Drake on “All to Myself” off WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU? Is this beef fabricated for the sake of the record and everyone else dissing? Or, is The Weeknd been waiting to send shots? How do you think Drake will respond? Outside of the content, are you enjoying the song? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. ASAP Rocky Targets Drake & His Son Adonis’ Mother On New Song, Fans Speculate

Drake must’ve done something to set off a lot of folks in the rap game, or they’ve all had to join forces to force him to address any sneak disses, issues, or flexes. Moreover, ASAP Rocky is the latest MC or artist to seemingly take shots at the Toronto superstar on the new Future and Metro Boomin album series. This time around, it appears on “Show Of Hands” off of WE STILL DON’T TRUST YOU after the first installment made their supposed distaste for Drizzy a hot topic of debate and speculation. Specifically, the New York native seems to claim that he was with Sophie Brussaux first, who is the mother of the OVO mogul’s child Adonis.

N***as in they feelings over women, what, you hurt or something?” A$AP Rocky raps on the cut. “I smash before you birthed, son, Flacko hit it first, son.” Other possible shots at Drake include “Heard you dropped your latest s**t / Funny how it just came and went” and his heft proclamation that “F**k keepin’ this s**t hip-hop, I wanna see a f**k n***a bleed out.” This also comes as fans are reacting to Aubrey Graham not dropping a diss track last night responding to all this as many had expected. Still, just like with most things having to do with these beefs, that was only speculation.

Future, Metro Boomin & ASAP Rocky’s “Show Of Hands”: Listen

In fact, the only thing we really know for sure about the many beefs, shots, and responses surrounding these Metro Pluto projects is that Kendrick Lamar was going at Drake’s neck on “Like That.” Other than that, these are all just speculative explanations and connections drawn on previous context, which sometimes lines up almost perfectly. In this case, for example, fans online pointed out how Adonis’ paternity was actually debated in court between the “Slime You Out” singer and A$AP Rocky. There’s also the fact that the former was once tied to the latter’s current partner Rihanna.

Still, these two MCs have shown each other a lot of love before, including lyrical references that at the very least seem neutral and plenty of collabs, link-ups, and the like. As such, a lot of fans are wondering what exactly is going on here, and if these are just a bunch of coincidences. Unfortunately for anyone hoping for peace and unity soon, it doesn’t seem like we’ll get any of that in the near future. Still, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Drake and A$AP Rocky.

Does J Cole’s Apology Mean Drake Is Forced To Compete With Kendrick Lamar?

The J Cole apology to Kendrick Lamar is akin to Neo taking the blue pill in many’s eyes. The only thing slightly greater than our disappointment in one of “The Big Three” refusing the lyrical competition he sought for over a decade is our respect for the higher ground of peace and love in one of the most active beef battlegrounds we’ve seen in hip-hop in a very long time, as these three aren’t the only ones feuding. Still, the retraction wasn’t entirely surprising given the one-foot-in, other-foot-out approach to previous beefs with Noname, Ye, or Wale. Also, the transphobia on Cole’s Might Delete Later cut “Pi” is garnering him more deserved heat than this walk-back. But K.Dot’s other opponent right now is not as forgiving.

Drake is battle-tested, but so far, he’s only offered vague alleged responses to DJ Akademiks, subliminal Instagram captions, and self-affirmation speeches while on tour with J. Cole. Meanwhile, following the likes of Big Sean, Jay Electronica, and Lupe Fiasco, this is yet another instance of Kendrick Lamar’s opponent not giving him the battle experience because, frankly, they realized didn’t even want that pressure to begin with. So now there are two lone soldiers on the front lines: the biggest rapper right now and hip-hop’s balance-achieving boogeyman. Does this apology from Cole mean that The Boy must finally comply with pressure and respond to the Compton titan on his own? While we’d bet that he will, we don’t think that we’ll be hearing a verse for a bit longer.

Why Hasn’t Drake Responded To Kendrick Lamar Yet?

First of all, Drake had already mentioned that he planned on taking a short break from music following 2023’s For All The Dogs era (might’ve been a troll). We got a 4batz feature and a removed Bfb Da Packman verse (likely so he can at least say something about Kendrick Lamar), but not much else. Drizzy just wrapped up his tour, and he might be taking his time with this beef as opposed to some of his more prompt responses in past feuds. It’s also important to note that “The Big Three” refers to the 2010s, not right now. These aren’t the high stakes they would’ve been back in 2013, and Cole didn’t really say anything disrespectful enough regarding the “trio.” He just showed he was a bit more self-aware about the situation with this apology.

As such, J. Cole doesn’t exit “The Big Three” of the 2010s automatically… at least, if he was in yours to begin with. Similarly, maybe Drake hasn’t responded yet because he doesn’t feel like he needs to. He already has a cemented spot as one of the biggest rappers period, and his die-hards are less pretentious and backpack-y than his “Big Three” counterparts, who place much more overt value on lyricism, messaging, and competition. OVO goons didn’t mind “The Story Of Adidon”; we doubt they’ll mind anything Kendrick Lamar has to say. But the Toronto superstar has a pen he punches under the weight of far too often, and when it hits, it hits. Now, this slightly unsharpened tool is the only thing that has (barring ghostwriters) to defend himself against Kendrick Lamar, as he can no longer count on Cole as a sparring partner.

What Does J. Cole’s Apology Cause?

Cole’s apology also sets a precedent for what fans don’t want, and with clamors for blood, it seems like Kendrick Lamar is getting exactly what he wanted with his “Like That” verse. But does a response from the 6ix God even matter? Absolutely. Pusha T proved he was mortal. Kendrick might prove he’s fodder. Drake has to exemplify his music and persona’s pretenses and confidently go all the way. The Take Care pioneer certainly has more experience with lyrical wars, although his overuse of subliminals and social media will not be enough anymore. Kendrick is the only rapper close to his commercial level to still retain the positively traditionalist qualities of an all-time MC. He’s undefeated because he doesn’t focus on that status: he focuses on the craft.

It’s not that risky for Mr. Morale, either: if he wins, it’ll be his final victory atop the rap mainstream’s throne as the best of our generation, and if he loses, it won’t be for lack of trying. His music is resonant and powerful enough to carry his legacy on its own with ease. Drake’s loss (or silence) could mean losing any slightest chance of being remembered as an all-timer by the classic art of rap that he reveres so much, although he would never lose the massive fanbase and commercial appeal that is built in his DNA at this point. But if he competes and wins… there would be a whole lot of shocked haters in line to apologize, and it would hopefully be something that would prove and improve his talent as an MC for years to come. Is Drake truly hip-hop? Hopefully, we’ll see.

OVO Chubbs Laughs Off Drake’s Beef With Metro Boomin & Supposed NAV Rift

Rap fans seem to be witnessing the start of a civil war within the game, and a lot of affected parties are starting to remark how overblown and dramatic it’s being presented as on social media. Moreover, OVO Chubbs -– Drake’s security guard, close friend, and much more -– recently commented on a post that reported on his partner’s current beef with a couple of opponents. Kendrick Lamar, Metro Boomin, and supposedly NAV, Future, Rick Ross, and others are against The Boy here. However, with just a simple crying-laughing emoji to offer, it seems like Chubbs is relatively unbothered about all this.

What’s more is that, given Drake’s recent speech during last night’s (Sunday, March 24) Big As The What? tour stop with J. Cole -– who’s also caught smoke in this beef -– it seems like he’s unbothered by this, too. “I got my head held high, my back straight, I’m ten f**king toes down,” he told the crowd. “And I know no matter what there’s not another n***a that could ever f**k with me on this Earth.” This seemed more of a direct reference to Kendrick Lamar asserting the hip-hop crown, but could also apply to other spats.

A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akademiks)

One of these, fans think, is Drake’s rift with NAV, as the latter seemed to unfollow the former on Instagram, something that Rick Ross also apparently chose as his stance. While it’s not really clear if this actually coincides with the release of Future and Metro Boomin’s new album, that’s still the prevailing narrative online. NAV is likely loyal to Metro Boomin, who has been supposedly beefing with Drizzy for a while now, as they have a collab tape together. But it’s also quite odd to see so many supposedly tight relationships crumble.

As such, a lot of fans are still calling cap on the whole affair, either it not being as deep as people think or it being impossible that the “Scholarships” duo is at odds, since Metro Boomin seemed to shut this down recently. But from what this beef story has held so far, it seems like anything is possible. Maybe we won’t ever get direct confirmation on these conflicts, but they definitely paint the rap world under a different context. On that note, stick around on HNHH for the latest news and more updates on Drake.

Rick Ross Has A Secret Child That Looks Like Drake, Ex Tia Kemp Claims After He Unfollows Him

The strained relationship between Rick Ross and his ex Tia Kemp has been a pretty big story in the hip-hop media gossip landscape for a while now. Moreover, tensions flared up even more after he dissed her on his feature on “Everyday Hustle,” one of the tracks off of Future and Metro Boomin’s brand-new collaborative album WE DON’T TRUST YOU. However, interestingly enough, this created a space for this romantic battlefield to cross over with the rap arena. Kemp clapped back on social media, taking to Instagram Live to claim that the Maybach Music Group boss has a secret baby that looks suspiciously like Drake.

“I want to see my stepson that look like Drake,” Tia Kemp said against Rick Ross in the lengthy IG Live rant below. Overall, it’s a lot of smoke for him on a lot of different levels, and it looks like he doesn’t have his boo by his side anymore to balance this out. Fans recently expressed shock and some disbelief when Cristina Mackey revealed that she and the Too Good To Be True‘s relationship was… well, too good to be true, and that they called it off. She even previewed a track about their breakup.

Tia Kemp Claims Rick Ross Has A Secret Drake Lookalike Baby: Watch

Furthermore, the aforementioned crossover is because Rick Ross apparently unfollowed Drake on Instagram, and so did NAV despite Drizzy quoting his lyrics in a recent Instagram post. This was the first post he made after WE DON’T TRUST YOU dropped, on which Kendrick Lamar unleashed some scathing disses against him. Also, Future and Metro Boomin have their own alleged beef with The Boy, so it looks like people are acting quick and picking sides. Still, it’s easy to get caught up in this narrative, but with something as trivial and ephemeral as social media follows, there’s a strong likelihood that no one would’ve noticed that they don’t follow each other if it wasn’t for this alleged feud.

Rozay Seems To Pick A Side

Meanwhile, a similar situation happened when Travis Scott asked Metro and Pluto to play the Kendrick song at Rolling Loud L.A. Fans thought that he wanted them to take a strong stance against them, but considering that they didn’t even play the Kendrick Lamar verse, maybe La Flame didn’t even know that he was on it and just wanted to hear that amazing beat. Whose side are these people on? Only time will tell. For more news and the latest updates on Rick Ross, stay up to date on HNHH.

Drake Drops First Instagram Post After Kendrick Lamar Diss, Quotes NAV After He Unfollows Him

Well, about 54 hours after the world heard Kendrick Lamar on “Like That,” Drake decided to speak out following the shots he caught on that diss track. However, it’s not a response at all, but rather a series of snaps on Instagram from his Big As The What? tour with J. Cole, who also got heat on Kendrick’s verse. “I ain’t picking up I’m in Turks lil baby,” The Boy captioned the post, quoting a line off of NAV’s “Turks” with Travis Scott and Gunna. Moreover, this is particularly interesting because Internet sleuths discovered that NAV seems to have unfollowed him on IG, which is a very interesting development.

Furthermore, one possible explanation for this is NAV’s loyalty to Metro Boomin, who has his own beef with Drake. They have a collab tape together and multiple other collaborations, so it would make sense that he “picks a side” here as Metro and Future have promoted heavily for their own collab album, the brand-new WE DON’T TRUST YOU. This is where Kendrick Lamar chose to take shots at Drizzy and J. Cole, and lines up with Fewtch’s alleged rift in his relationship with OVO. There are a lot of conflicting loyalties here amid a group that used to be very tight, so it’s a hard call to make either way.

Drake’s First IG Post Post-“Like That,” NAV Seems To Pick A Side

Regardless, it seems like Drake and J. Cole are in no particular rush to respond, or else they would’ve done something for their Saturday night (March 23) Big As The What? tour stop in Florida, their first since “Like That” dropped. Instead, they invited Lil Wayne to perform alongside them, as they previously announced for a number of upcoming shows. Aubrey Graham’s caption here could also suggest that he’s living unbothered, partying out in Turks and Caicos while the world waits for an answer to Kendrick Lamar. But with the “First Person Shooter” duo’s competitive spirit in mind, and all the smoke they’ve been foaming at the mouth for, it’s likely that we’ll get some type of response soon.

Meanwhile, what do you think about this whole debacle? What about your thoughts on how other media personalities like DJ Akademikes are reacting to this beef and breaking it down with their own theories? Whatever the case, drop your thoughts down in the comments section below. Also, for more news and the latest updates on Drake, keep checking in with HNHH.

DJ Akademiks Thinks Drake Will Beat Kendrick Lamar In Their Beef

Hip-hop waits patiently for the next move in the incendiary beef between Kendrick Lamar, Drake, and J. Cole. Moreover, if you haven’t already heard for some reason, K-Dot dissed them on “Like That” off Future and Metro Boomin’s new album WE DON’T TRUST YOU, although there’s still plenty of debate as to who was really the target. Most of the pointed lines on here relate specifically to Drizzy, and Cole seems like someone caught in the crossfire who, in the album’s narrative, “picked the wrong side.” This is because the aforementioned trap duo allegedly have their own issues with the 6ix God, and are taking a stance against him with this rollout.

Furthermore, DJ Akademiks wasted no time in reacting to this development and breaking it all down. While he had many things to say on his livestream, the big point was about a question that everyone’s thinking about: what’s going to happen next? Well, Ak thinks that, based on recent footage of Drake being on his phone at a club, he’s going to “f**k Kendrick Lamar up.” Of course, this is a pretty big conclusion to draw off of just some screen time surrounded by party-goers and loud music, but he thinks that he’s deep in his Notes app writing his arsenal of bars… or texting his ghostwriters for updates. Just kidding, Aubrey, you’ve proven yourself to us enough before.

DJ Akademiks Believes Drake Will “F**k Kendrick Up”

Another theory that DJ Akademiks proposed is that this “Like That” verse is actually a trap, and that Kendrick Lamar has way more dirt in the vault if Drake or J. Cole were to respond. Still, he mostly centered this around the Toronto superstar, and what the media personality is referring to here is simple beef history and precedent. Usually, there’s an inciting incident, then a response, and a clapback that follows. See another beef in The Boy’s catalog, the one with Pusha T, as an example: the subs on “Infrared” led to the direct “Duppy Freestyle” and the scathing “The Story Of Adidon.”

Meanwhile, the former Everyday Struggle co-host also drew connections when it comes to Future’s beef with OVO, plus Metro Boomin’s issues.
