Dr. Dre Says He Just Finished A New Album With Marsha Ambrosius Featuring Some Of His Best Work

Dr. Dre has a new album coming with Floetry singer Marsha Ambrosius, according to photos both posted to social media. The two previously collaborated extensively on Dr. Dre’s 2015 album Compton and on “Stronger” from Ambrosius’ 2014 project Friends & Lovers. The release, apparently titled Casablanco, will mark something of a comeback for both; Ambrosius last released a full-length project in 2018 with Nyla, while Dre hasn’t released a headlining album since Compton. Dre has done some production work on his longtime collaborator Eminem’s last album, Music To Be Murdered By, and on the new Grand Theft Auto game, which Snoop Dogg thinks is “great f*cking music.”

Perhaps Dre is taking Snoop’s advice about turning his pain and anger into magic after completing divorce proceedings with his ex-wife Nicole — something he celebrated with balloons and more. Dre’s also returning to music after his early 2021 aneurysm scare, which caught him off-guard. “I’ve always been a person that has always taken care of my health,” he said after his recovery. “But there’s something that happens for some reason with Black men and high blood pressure, and I never saw that coming.”

His return to music after very nearly losing his life also includes the announcement that he will play the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show alongside Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg. Stay tuned for more about Casablanco.

Dr. Dre Poses With ‘Divorced AF’ Balloons After A Reported Deal With His Ex-Wife

For about a year and a half, Dr. Dre and his now ex-wife Nicole Young have been entwined in a legal battle over their divorce. Nicole filed for separation in the summer of 2020, and after 18 months it appears that the two parties have finally reached an agreement. On Friday, music executive Breyon Prescott shared a picture of Dre sitting in front of balloons that spelled out “Divorced AF.” “Hey Well My Brother @drdre Just Told Me It’s Final,” Prescott wrote in the caption.

The image comes after a new report from TMZ that said that he and Nicole finalized their divorce agreement. The publication reports that Dre will pay Nicole a lump sum of $2 million and an additional $500,000 to cover her attorney fees. While this is certainly a large amount, it’s significantly less than her initial request, which was $2 million per month in spousal support. TMZ adds that sources with direct knowledge of the deal claim that it has not yet been signed, with one person saying, “This whole thing could blow up again.”

The news comes a little over a month after Dr. Dre was reportedly served divorce papers at the funeral for his late grandmother. In the meantime, Dre is gearing up for his Super Bowl 2022 Halftime Show, which is set to go down in a couple of months. He’ll be accompanied by Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Mary J. Blige.

‘GTA Online’ Has A New Story Featuring Exclusive Music From Dr. Dre

When Grand Theft Auto V was first released back in 2013, it set records as one of the best-selling media franchises ever. That said, nobody expected the game to last as long as it has. GTA V is just as popular now as it was back in 2013 and a huge reason for that is the game’s online mode, GTA Online. The concept was pretty simple: give players the opportunity to explore the fictional city of Los Santos in a sandbox environment while having a few missions they can play every once in a while.

The results of that simple idea turned GTA V into the most profitable piece of media ever made and GTA Online has people still logging on to play it all these years later. So it’s no surprise to see that the developers over at Rockstar are still finding new ways to support the game. Their latest update sees GTA Online bring back a GTA V favorite, Franklin, in a new set of story missions. Not only that, but these new missions are going to feature Dr. Dre as himself in the game. Rockstar is also telling us that this story will feature new exclusive music from Dre himself in the game. Via Rockstar Newswire:

“Get ready for a wild and hilarious ride through Los Santos, from the mean streets of Franklin’s old neighborhood to the hottest parties in the city, from debaucherous mansions to the offices of the FIB and everywhere in between as you join Franklin, expert hacker Imani, Chop the Dog, and crew to secure Dr. Dre’s precious tracks and return them to their rightful owner.

Stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire in the coming days for more info on The Contract, arriving December 15 to GTA Online — including details of an eclectic new radio station from some very special guest hosts, huge first-of-their-kind updates to existing radio stations including a ton of new and unreleased exclusive tracks from Dr. Dre and a heavy-hitting line-up of artists, plus additional opportunities for agency work including choice hits for players willing to get their hands dirty, plus new weapons, vehicles, and much more.”

A while back, Snoop Dogg revealed that Dre was working on new music for Grand Theft Auto. While he didn’t clarify what GTA game that was, it seems more than likely that he was referring to this upcoming GTA Online update.

This is all really exciting news. GTA fans have to be excited to see Franklin back in the fold after going so long without seeing him and we get new music from Dr. Dre on top of that. For anyone that’s big into GTA Online, this is going to be a must play update.

Snoop Dogg Reveals Dr. Dre Is ‘Making Great F*cking Music’ For ‘Grand Theft Auto’

This past summer marked six years since the last album from Dr. Dre, namely 2015’s Compton, which arrived 16 years after his sophomore album 2001. Thankfully, fans won’t have to wait nearly as long for new music this time around. Snoop Dogg has revealed Dre has something on the way thanks to some sort of partnership with Grand Theft Auto.

“I do know he’s in the studio,” Snoopan said during an interview on the Rolling Stone Music Now podcast. “I do know he’s making great f*cking music. And some of his music is connected to the GTA game that’s coming out. So I think that that will be the way that his music will be released, through the GTA video game.” The new music could come in time for Dre’s performance at next year’s Super Bowl LVI’s Halftime Show, where the famed producer will be joined by Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Snoop Dogg.

Snoop’s comments come after he admitted he was “out of pocket” during his feud with Eminem at the beginning of the year. “We brothers and we family so we learn to appreciate each other for what we do and we had our own little conversation about the respect we have for each other and the way we need to talk in public about each other,” he said during an interview on The Breakfast Club.

Snoop Dogg Advises Dr. Dre To Turn His ‘Pain’ And ‘Anger’ Into ‘Magic’ In A Touching Video

Dr. Dre has endured his fair share of up and down moments over the past year. They include recovery from a brain aneurysm and pushing through his divorce from Nicole Young who he married in 1996. Through it all, the famed producer has received plenty of encouraging words from his supporters, one of those being Snoop Dogg. In a video Dre recently posted on his Instagram page, he shared a touching video that Snoop sent him to hopefully boost his spirits.

Dre captioned it, “Thank you to everyone for sending me so much positive energy. I’d like to share this inspirational message from my brother @snoopdogg.”

“Ever since I was f*ckin’ with you before I was f*ckin’ with you, you could always take pain, anger, frustration, anything that was negative and you could get something positive out of it,” Snoop says in the video. “That’s why you the doctor. They say Snoop Dogg is an icon, he’s a God, he’s a king, but there’s one n**** to honor, and that’s you.”

He continues, “So you get your sh*t right and focus on being great. Take all that negative energy, all that shit that you dealing with: the death, the f*cking lawsuits, all that sh*t, put it all in your mind and your spirit and make something magical, n****.”

Simply put, Snoop wants Dre to “take that hurt, that anger, and that pain and make magic,” as he says in the video.

Snoop’s message comes after Dr. Dre was reportedly served with divorce papers at his grandmother’s funeral.

Dr. Dre Was Reportedly Served Divorce Papers At His Grandmother’s Funeral

A process server tried to serve Dr. Dre divorce papers at the worst imaginable time — at his grandmother’s funeral — according to a report from TMZ. TMZ’s sources say that Dre was at the cemetery in Los Angeles when he was approached, although sources differ on exactly when it happened. Dre’s people say the producer was standing next to the casket at the burial site, while Nicole Young’s say Dre was served in the parking lot after the funeral — which is decidedly less tacky, but still pretty tacky.

Dre reportedly wouldn’t take the documents by hand as a result, prompting the server to either leave them at the gravesite or in the parking lot, depending on which source you ask. According to TMZ, the papers contained the judge’s final orders regarding the payment for Nicole’s lawyer fees. The two parties had apparently disagreed on just how much Dre owed, with Dre’s side saying the $325,433 he paid already should have paid the balance in full. However, the judge apparently agreed with Nicole’s side — that Dre owed $1,550,000.

Dre, who recently recovered from a brain aneurysm, is set to play the Super Bowl Halftime Show next year, along with Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg.
