Fans Think ASAP Rocky Dissed Travis Scott At Rolling Loud

ASAP Rocky fans believe that the rapper dissed Travis Scott during his headlining set at Rolling Loud in Miami on Sunday night. While performing music from his upcoming album, Don’t De Dumb, Rocky called out an unnamed artist for stealing his flow and style.

“First you stole my flow, so I stole your bitch/Then you stole my style, I need at least like 10 percent/ All due disrespect, I hope you take offense,” Rocky raps in the song. When a clip of the moment made its way to The Shade Room, fans on Instagram had mixed reactions to the track. “He’s talking about Travis Scott for the slow ones in the back,” one fan noted. Others complained about the quality of Rocky’s music and questioned his fanbase. “I had no idea ASAP had a fan base that big,” one commented, while another wrote: “The way his music plummeted over the years is wild.”

Despite ample negativity, plenty of fans did come to Rocky’s defense. “People in here downplaying rocky clearly know nothing about the [goat emoji] status he’s already obtained in his own career,” one fan argued. Another wrote: “First off there will be no Rocky slander. Anybody who don’t know who Rocky is just say that. Rocky is Rocky not just Rihanna’s BD. Do u think she would just have 2 babies w a random rapper? He is Kanye’s Predecessor & the reason y’all dress the way y’all do and wear Jays, y’all know nothing about y’all own culture. He the reason y’all wear that fake Vlone and wear grills. Hes a Literal Goat stop it & his Artistry as an artist has been copied countless times let alone his swagg ran off w it.” Check out Rocky’s apparent Travis Scott diss below.

Is ASAP Rocky’s ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ Coming Out Soon?

Fans have been impatiently waiting for the follow-up to ASAP Rocky’s 2018 album, Testing. For the past five years, Rocky’s been more occupied with a variety of ups and downs, from his incarceration in Sweden to becoming a father thanks to Rihanna (with whom he might be married, judging from some of his recent comments and his new song “Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)“).

That doesn’t mean he hasn’t been working on it; late last year, he noted that the upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb, has heavy input from Metro Boomin — and that it’s been “finished” since December. Of course, once an album is done, there’s still lots of work to do, from plotting out music video releases and brand partnerships to routing tours, but with multiple singles, including “Riot” and “Same Problems” out, you can’t blame fans for believing the album should be on its way any day now.

Rocky certainly fueled those rumors in a new interview with Complex, blaming delays on leakers and revealing a laundry list of producers that includes Hitkidd, Madlib, Mike Dean, Swedish House Mafia, The Alchemist, and Tyler The Creator, in addition to Rocky himself. As far as when the album is due, Rocky said, “These dummies got to stop leaking sh*t. Every time, we have to go back to the drawing board. But right now, I think it’s in a place where we tightened it up and we really can’t make or break anything right now… it’s time to start rolling out the project.”

A$AP Rocky is ready to drop off new music. On Thursday night, Rocky performed for Amazon Music Live following the Thursday Night Football game. Before the game, he announced his title in a promo commercial.

“Thursday night football. Amazon. First time back on stage. Album finished. Don’t Be Dumb. Let’s go,” A$AP Rocky said.

During the performance, Rocky debuted new songs while remembering rappers who had passed away over the past year.

The album will also feature heavy production from Metro Boomin.

ASAP Rocky Finally Confirmed His New ‘Album’s Finished, Don’t Be Dumb, Let’s Go’

Firstime fatherhood has ignited a fierce creative fire under A$AP Rocky. After releasing two singles, “D.M.B.” and “Sh*ttin’ Me,” Rocky revealed an entire project is on the way during a concert performance for Amazon Music Live.

This album will mark Rocky’s first LP since 2018’s Testing. Previously thought to be titled, All Smiles, the rapper revealed it is officially named, Don’t Be Dumb. With input from Atlanta-based producer Metro Boomin, the project will surely deliver exciting blends of Rocky’s signature alternative New York rap sound with flairs of today’s dominating southern draws.

Before taking the stage, the rapper gleamingly shared a few words with fans via the video team stationed outside, “Thursday Night Football. Amazon. My first time back on the stage. Album’s finished. Don’t Be Dumb. Let’s go!”

During the stream, hosted by 2Chainz, Rocky performed several songs from the project. One of the tracks, titled “Roddy Rod Pipper,” instantly won the crowd over as they opened up a mosh pit to jam out to it.

The rumors of a track named after pop darling Taylor Swift are still floating around, but no further information has been released regarding the album or when it is expected to hit streaming platforms. However, we will be sure to share more details as they surface.

A$AP Rocky Announces New Album “Don’t Be Dumb”

Over the course of 2022, fans have waited long and hard for an update on A$AP Rocky’s follow-up to Testing. Then this year, he unveiled a handful of songs, dished out a few features, and recently launched his own furniture design store.

After telling fans that Rolling Loud New York would be his final performance before the album was complete, A$AP Rocky made it clear that he’s officially in roll out mode during Amazon Music Live on Thursday night.

During a commercial break for Thursday Night Football ahead of his Amazon set, the rapper confirmed that his album is complete. “Thursday night football. Amazon. First time back on stage. Album finished. Don’t Be Dumb. Let’s go,” A$AP Rocky said to the camera.

His brief appearance during the game brought a wave of excitement to fans. Later on, the rapper confirmed the title of his album as he performed songs from the upcoming record. A$AP Rocky projected Don’t Be Dumb onto the screen before debuting a slew of new singles. One record that particularly stood out to fans found the Harlem rapper paying homage to all of the rappers who’ve passed away as their images appeared on the screens behind him.

In the past week, Rocky’s heavily hinted at the project’s release. He released “Shittin Me” for Need For Speed Unbound before appearing on Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains alongside Takeoff. Shortly after, he spoke to Complex and confirmed that he’s gearing up to release the album ASAP.

“There’s a lot in store, and I’m excited about everything. Without giving out too many surprises, it’s some cool shit in store. And it’s not a situation where they are going to have to wait long. It’s like ASAP, no pun intended,” he said.

In a separate interview with GQ, he also suggested that Metro Boomin will have a heavy presence across his forthcoming effort.

“I’m gonna put it to you like this: This next album needs to be just called Flacko Boomin, you hear me?” he said. “Most artists wanna make [collabs just because they’re hot]. For us, it’s like, that’s really my n***a.”
