Fans have trolled Iman Shumpert after the former NBA player posted a defiant message of resolve aimed at his ex-wife. “10 toes chin up. You ain’t the first or the last shordy,” Shumpert wrote. However, fans were quick to troll him, saying that he “fumbled” Teyana Taylor. Shumpert’s previous tactic had been to dispute some of the claims that his now ex-wife had been making during divorce proceedings.

Iman Shumpert had previously asked the court to dismiss specific documents filed by Taylor in their divorce proceedings. The documents in question saw Taylor amend the reason for the divorce from “irrevocable broken bond” to “cruel treatment”. This implies that Shumpert was physically, mentally, or emotionally abusive toward Taylor. However, Shumpert has called for the documents to be dismissed, stating that Taylor has not proven the allegation despite the filing. It was just the latest chapter in what quickly became a nasty divorce case. Taylor originally filed for divorce only using their initials for privacy. Iman Shumpert was a first-round NBA draft pick for the Knicks back in 2011. He had been a solid player at Georgia Tech, although the team only made a single March Madness appearance during his three years as a Yellow Jacket. While hailed as an elite defensive prospect, Shumpert never fully reached his potential. He was never a first-unit starter, with his single-season starts benchmark set at 58 starts in his third season. He would win a ring with Cleveland in 2016. However, he only appeared in 54 games, starting 5 of them and averaging about 24 minutes.

He married Teyana Taylor in 2016, although the pair had meet all the way back in 2011. “I did not like him at first. He had just got drafted. He was young and doing a lot. At the time, he was drunk and had his shirt off,” Taylor told Wendy Williams in 2018. However, the pair would get together in 2013 while Shumpert was rehabbing from injury.

If this year has taught us anything, though, it’s that we don’t know what we don’t know, and anything can be taking place behind closed doors. Despite being #Goals to their fans for years now, divorce filings reveal that Taylor felt Shumpert has the tendencies of a narcissist and was struggling with insecurity due to her busy schedule while also berating her for taking time off to be a mother and heal her body after giving birth to their two daughters.

Currently, the former lover’s divorce is in the custody agreement stages. Radar Online reports that a recent hearing included a request from the athlete’s attorney to schedule a set time with him, 7-year-old Junie, and 3-year-old Rue. The court agreed that Shumpert should see his kids 4-6 days out of the month, and for now, he’ll be picking them up from Taylor’s house, where they’ll return at the end of his weekends. The holiday season belongs to the vocalist this year, though this agreement is only in place until a judge determines who gets primary custody of the girls.

Jeezy is refuting Jeannie Mai’s latest comments on their separation after she claimed to have been blindsided by the divorce during an interview with The Jennifer Hudson Show on Monday. Mai told Hudson that she found out about Jeezy filing for divorce at the same time as the rest of the world and was “gutted.”

A source close to the rapper told TMZ afterward that her comments were “absolutely false,” noting that “the clear signs of their uncoupling were long established and manifesting right before their eyes.” They revealed that the two spent ample time in marriage counseling, trying out several therapists before Jeezy concluded that it was time to move on.

Jeezy Denies Jeannie Mai’s Infidelity Claims

Jeezy has disputed claims made by his ex-wife Jeannie Mai that he was unfaithful. If true, this would trigger the fidelity clause in their pre-nuptial agreement. “Any claims of infidelity on Mr. Jenkins’ behalf are 100 percent false and we have no further statements at this time. The statement was made by the rapper’s rep to US Weekly.

Jeezy was indirectly accused of infidelity by Jeannie Mai in recent court filings. “Wife reserves the right to amend this counterclaim to add other grounds for divorce. But which Wife does not wish to specify herein at this time in the hope this matter can be resolved without having to disclose such conduct publicly. Wife further shows that the Court should enforce Paragraph 8 of the Prenuptial Agreement. This regards infidelity which provides, in pertinent part, that in the event that either party engages in sexual relations, an emotional relationship, or is emotionally or sexually suggestive in communication with a third party via all forms of electronic communications, including but not limited to texting, sexting, Facetiming, social media and/or Direct Messages, shall result in a significant financial penalty upon the adulterous party,” the motion from Jeannie Mai read.

The once-seemingly perfect marriage between Jeezy and Jeannie Mai has devolved into an ugly divorce battle in the courts. This week, prior to Jeannie Mai’s infidelity allegations, Jeezy accused his ex-wife of “gatekeeping” their daughter. Furthermore, he also pushed for a more consistent custody schedule. “The lack of consistency, continuity, and stability inherently associated with such a haphazard and fluid parenting time schedule is stressful to the Child. And it has, as is unfortunately inevitable with all families in transition, created unnecessary tension and confusion regarding not only parenting time but also in regard to each parent’s role and rights when the Child is in their respective custody,” the filing read.

Additionally, Jeezy alleged that Jeannie Mai was doing this intentionally in order to sabotage his relationship with their daughter. “[Mai’s] interference with [Jeezy’s] relationship with the Child, again, while not generated from or with malicious intent, is nevertheless, causing confusion and tension between the parties and is working to stifle the development of [Jeezy’s] relationship with the Child,” the motion further reads.

Most recently, Thierry took to Threads to air her frustrations with the producer, suggesting that he turned down her request to spend time with their three kids during the holidays. He accused her of attempting to unlawfully obtain his financial information, demanding that she give him $10K.

Reportedly, she issued five subpoenas to his former employers, seeking documents that are not “relevant” to their own legal battle. Allegedly, she was looking for more information about his income in order to push for higher child support payments in court. “She will use an abusive discovery strategy to cause this divorce to last longer than the entire length of the marriage,” his filing reads.
