Faith Evans and Stevie J may actually be close to finalizing their divorce. New court documents suggest that the pair are making progress. They have been attempting to resolve their contentious divorce for some time now. The headlines surrounding the split have been everything from tame to downright ugly. However, it looks as though that is all coming to an end. According to a report from The Blast, Stevie J filed a statement of disclosure. It outlines the couple’s financial details for the benefit of the other party.
Some who are unfamiliar with the process may not know what this entails. The specific details of the disclosure statement were not made public. However, according to legal experts, this filing indicates a potential settlement between Evans and Stevie J in the divorce case. It remains to be seen if that is actually the case. Still, it seems like there may finally be a light at the end of the tunnel for the former couple. If the couple desires privacy, though, the terms of the divorce may remain undisclosed.
Faith And Stevie Fight Over A Car
The recent filing brings a more positive turn to the ongoing saga of Faith Evans and Stevie J’s divorce. In April, Stevie J was ordered to return Evans’ vehicle. She had accused him of taking it without permission to attend the Coachella music festival. Evans, in an emergency motion, requested the return of the 2023 Mercedes Sprinter Van. According tot he motion, she had purchased it with her own money earlier in the year. The court granted her request, ordering the immediate return of the vehicle.
Additionally, Evans sought court intervention to prevent Stevie J from driving not only the van but also her other vehicles. This includes her 2020 Mercedes G Wagon and a Chrysler Pacifica. She claimed that Stevie J’s license was suspended. That makes him unauthorized to operate a motor vehicle. Furthermore, the insurance policy did not cover him. “The insurance policy does not cover [Stevie], and he is unauthorized to drive,” the attorney’s motion said. Now, however, it appears that Evans and Stevie J have moved past their differences. The pair are moving closer to reaching a peaceful resolution in their divorce proceedings. Despite their recent public appearance together, Ne-Yo and his ex-wife Crystal Renay are not reconciling their romantic relationship. According to sources, their interaction was strictly professional and amicable. They both attended the opening of their restaurant chain’s new location as co-owners, fulfilling their contractual obligations. It is clarified that Ne-Yo and Crystal are currently dating other people while successfully co-parenting their three children.
Crystal divorced Ne-Yo last year following his involvement with another woman, which resulted in the birth of a child. The singer has a predetermined number of appearances to make for their shared restaurant chain, Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles. Crystal, on the other hand, actively participates in the day-to-day operations. This explains their joint presence at the grand opening in midtown Atlanta. Although they will continue to encounter each other due to their business plans of opening three more locations, their interactions do not signify a romantic reunion.
During a recent interview on Shannon Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay podcast, Ne-Yo discussed the possibility of dating Taylor Swift. Sharpe commented that they would make a cute couple. However, Ne-Yo expressed his belief that Taylor Swift wouldn’t be interested in him due to his “toxic” behavior. He jokingly stated that he would mess things up for her and conveyed his respect for her. However, Ne-Yo’s remarks received a mixed reaction from fans in the comments section of Sharpe’s post.
Some fans criticized Ne-Yo for referring to himself as toxic and urged him to grow up. Others interpreted his statement as acknowledging that Taylor Swift has her own success and independence. As such, it would make her less susceptible to manipulation. Following his divorce from Crystal Renay in February, Ne-Yo expressed his openness to dating fans of his music. He mentioned that he prefers connecting with “regular people.” He believes they can understand his experiences as a celebrity while also being relatable. What do you think of Ne-Yo and his ex-wife working together? Sound off in the comments below to let us know what you think! Be sure to stay tuned to HNHH for the latest updates.
DeVon Franklin says that there were nights he would cry himself to sleep after his divorce from Meagan Good. Franklin reflected on his relationship with his ex-wife of 10 years during an appearance on The Breakfast Club on Thursday.
“Mentally, I’m doing much better,” Franklin clarified to begin the conversation. “But the process to that, like, I can sit here before all of you and have this interview and be calm and introspective and all that. But that comes from a process, you know?”
“I mean, there are nights [where] I’m crying myself to sleep,” he further admitted. “There are moments when I’ve been angry, but I’ve allowed myself to feel whatever I felt in order to heal because in my experience when I’m not facing what I’m feeling, then I’m trying to find something else to help me get through the pain.” From there, he added that there is no ill will between the two: “The love for us has not gone away. It’s just changed form.”
Meagan Good has shared similar sentiments about their split when addressing the divorce in interviews of her own. Speaking with ESSENCE back in March, Good explained that she was “devastated” by the divorce. “It’s nothing that I would have ever chosen, and when I realized that it was happening, I was devastated,” she explained at the time. “I was like, ‘This is me, Lord, I did everything that I could do to the best of my ability. I don’t understand why I did all these things, and then this is my end result.’”
DeVon Franklin On His Divorce
In recent weeks, Good has been seen getting intimate with disgraced actor Jonathan Majors, prompting dating rumors between the two. Good and Majors were spotted holding hands while boarding a plane from New York City to Los Angeles, last month.
Britney Spears is making things hard on her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. He has allegedly set a Friday deadline for Britney’s lawyer to approve his planned relocation. The pop star’s ex plans to move to Hawaii with their two children. If the lawyer fails to give consent, Kevin intends to take the matter to court and seek approval from a judge. That is according to a report from TMZ. Kevin’s attorney has reportedly made multiple requests to Britney’s lawyer. He has asked for written confirmation that Britney is agreeable to the move. However, no response has been received thus far.
The planned move is scheduled for August 1st. Kevin is under pressure to finalize arrangements, including securing a rental property. His wife, Victoria Prince, has received a job offer from a local university’s sports department and needs to commit. Kevin’s lawyer asserts that there should be no issue regarding their two children. The two are now 16 and 17 years old. He claims that Kevin has full legal custody and de facto physical custody. He further notes that Britney has not seen the boys in over a year. Elsewhere in Britney’s family life, she seems to be healing.
Britney Recently Reconciled With Her Mother
According to TMZ, Britney Spears and her mother, Lynne, had a rare in-person meeting on Wednesday night. Britney welcomed her mother into her home once she arrived in Los Angeles. During their approximately 30-minute conversation, Britney’s husband, Sam Asghari, was also present. It was reported that Britney was not aware of the exact timing of Lynne’s visit. She did, however, know that her mother was in town to see her.
Sources claimed that there appears to be a thawing of the relationship between mother and daughter. Apparently, they have been exchanging text messages recently. Lynne felt confident enough to travel from Louisiana to Los Angeles to meet with Britney. This indicates her commitment to reconciling with her daughter. However, considering Britney’s recent statement referring to TMZ as “the trashiest news channel,” it is likely she was not pleased with the report.
Brian McKnight’s family drama has been quite the hot topic for the past month due to a few different public scandals. Moreover, court documents reportedly obtained by Radar Online on Thursday (May 25) show that he and his ex Patricia Driver had quite the contentious court affair. Not only that, but it also brought up the various medial services that the singer refused to pay for their daughter. Furthermore, their court struggles specifically revolved around the young one’s healthcare plan, her therapy sessions, and birth control pills. What’s more is that the judge took different stances on each side of the aisle.
For those unaware, Briana McKnight is Brian’s daughter with Patricia Driver, and was born while her father was still married to Julie McKnight. The first issue that came up in their legal battle was Briana’s health insurance, despite the fact that she turned 18 and was responsible for her own affairs. Reportedly, Patricia argued that Brian McKnight agree to pay her insurance costs in full during his divorce settlement and had apparently neglected the payments. Then, the judge ordered him to reimburse her for nearly $1,800 for healthcare expenses.
Readers may remember that this is the same daughter that sued Brian McKnight back in 2020 for incest slander. In fact, that story is what got a lot of public interest in his family affairs circulating like wildfire, in addition to his appreciation of his new family over his old one. Another element in the court proceedings was Briana’s therapy sessions. Apparently, the 53-year-old “did not know why it was necessary,” although he eventually changed his mind after a few months of meetings. Still, it shows a clear disconnect between both sides of the family.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo-born artist also allegedly did not want to pay for Briana’s birth control medication. Despite Patricia explaining that it was for a medical situation, he claimed that he refused to cough up the cash because he wasn’t notified in time. The judge took his side when it came to that caveat. While he continues to defend himself against accusations of abandonment, he did so by maintaining that he shares much more love for his current family. Tyrese Gibson recently spoke out about his 2020 divorce. He claims that during the trial, he came to the realization that his now ex-wife, Samantha Lee, was only with him for the money and status that he brought. Tyrese said, “I left the courtroom during a divorce trial, and I realized it was never love.” He says that instead, “it was just a transaction.” He went on to add, “Wow, we did whole marriage and the…child just…to find out it was all about money and status.”
It wasn’t the first time he made claims about his former relationship. In February of this year, Tyrese also shared a message on Instagram to his ex-wife. He wrote, “Samantha I don’t think you ever loved me… impossible.” He also previous shared his feelings surrounding the verdict of their custody battle. Tyrese was ordered to pay $10k per month in child support. He wrote on Instagram, “Samantha really thought she pulled it off,” adding, “God don’t like ugly.” In the video he shared more about his mental state, claiming that he was “confused” and “in and out of depressions.”
Tyrese’s current girlfriend, Zelie Timothy, shared in March that she was more interested in her boyfriend’s costar, Paul Walker, ahead of making things official with Tyrese. Tyrese wasn’t too happy about her admission, telling her, “Don’t touch me.” It wasn’t the only time the couple publicly feuded. In 2022, he also bashed the Instagram model following her reportedly sharing “choice words” about him online. He called her a “masterful manipulator” and “a snake,” claiming that he was newly-single. She later responded, “After all this, you’ve made me know that hell is just earth without you… I want you to know how much I miss you and what you mean to me.”
Last year, Chanel Thierry and her then-husband, DJ Mustard, decided to end their relationship. The couple had only been married for 18 months when the famed producer filed for divorce. According to documents obtained by TMZ at the time, the reason for their union ending was “irreconcilable differences.” DJ Mustard, whose real name is Dijon McFarlane, has three children with Chanel Thierry, who are between the ages of two and 10 years old. When he filed for the divorce, he requested joint legal and physical custody of the children. Mustard and Thierry had been together for a while, but they only got married in October 2020.
After the two announced their divorce, Chanel broke her silence via her Instagram stories. “Thank you for the kind words, thoughts, and prayers,” she wrote at the time. “Anyone that followed me or knows me personally knows my family means the world to me. I’ve [dedicated] 12 loyal years and it is more [than] heartbreaking to see things end.” The divorce has ended up with DJ Mustard paying Chanel’s living expenses. He currently must pay her around $20,000 a month. However, it looks like Chanel might still have some hard feelings about the split.
Chanel Says She Isn’t Jealous
In a new Instagram story, Chanel Thierry makes her feelings about Mustard’s new fling very clear. The video, which is a screen recording of a TikTok, shows Megan Thee Stallion talking about not being jealous. “Anybody try to play with me, nine times out of ten, they’re gonna get their feelings hurt. You wanna make me jealous? Not gonna work. I’m a bad b*tch. Were you going after this?” Meg says in the TikTok. “You tried to piss me off? Not gonna work. I’m naturally happy. Like, you don’t dictate my happiness. You know what I’m saying? I was happy before you got here. I’m gonna be happy when you leave. Like, I’m gonna still be me at the end of the day.”
This new video comes as DJ Mustard was seen out and about with a new woman. In the comments on a post about Chanel’s video by The Shade Room, some pointed out that the producer’s new fling looked oddly familiar. “She look like her…wow he’s funny,” one user said. Others say she shouldn’t have posted at all. “I wouldn’t have even posted anything. He’s an ex for a reason,” said a comment. Still, after so many years together, something like this can absolutely sting. What do you think of Chanel’s response? Should she have said nothing and let it go? Let us know in the comments!
Kanye West has been laying relatively low as of late, but that doesn’t mean he’s not still caught up in some drama. The Graduation hitmaker’s latest beef is with former business manager Thomas St. John, who TMZ reports he’s countersuing over a year after they first crossed paths in March 2022. At the time, Ye was notably airing out his feelings on social media, landing him in trouble with countless other public figures. St. John apparently signed a deal to join the embattled artist’s team on a $300K monthly retainer in hopes of working together to rehabilitate his public image.
West admits to signing a document in May of last year, though he did so without the presence of an attorney. In addition, the Yeezy founder says that his divorce from Kim Kardashian was a severe mental stressor as the deal was unfolding. That, coupled with a sudden increase in paparazzi encounters found the father of four battling sleep deprivation, stress, and anxiousness. As a result, Ye says that the agreement signed by him and St. John “isn’t enforceable.”
Kanye West’s Latest Legal Woes
Elsewhere in their contract, The Life of Pablo artist is taking issue with a clause which prohibits his former business manager‘s firing for the first 18 months of their time together. At a $300K/month rate, that would guarantee him $5.4M – money that West is likely less willing to part with after being dropped by several partnerships due to his 2022 antics. All-in-all, West and St. John worked together for just three months, but the latter is insisting he should receive the full agreed-upon amount.
In his countersuit, Ye is asking a judge to, first of all, tear up the contract entirely. Second, he would like for Thomas St. John to pay back the $900K previously collected for his work in the early days of their relationship. Check back later for any updates on Kanye West’s latest legal woes, as well as on all your other favourite celebrities.
The relationship between Stevie J and Faith Evans has been slightly confusing to keep up with over the years. Some might even consider their relationship to be problematic. After all, plenty of their issues have dramatically unfolded in front of the public eye. The true question at hand is… where do Stevie and Faith stand now? The validity of their marriage has been on shaky grounds since late 2021. Here’s an update about where the famed hip hop couple is headed next.
Who Is Stevie J?
Stevie’s career speaks for itself. He started making a name for himself in the entertainment industry in the early ’90s. He’s now widely recognized as a television personality and megaproducer. In fact, his career has been so successful that he even won a Grammy award in 1997. Taking home Grammy awards isn’t something many people can claim for themselves. Still, it’s something Stevie was successfully able to manage.
Stevie served as a lucrative in-house producer of Bad Boy Records, creating influential hits alongside Sean “Puffy” Combs. One of his significant projects was the self-titled debut album of the R&B quartet 112. Their biggest single, “Only You” featuring The Notorious B.I.G., is on the top of Stevie’s list of accomplishments.
Stevie has millions of followers on social media. His credits in major productions include The Way Men Think in 2021 and 2019’s Black Jesus. Stevie’s reality TV drama caused heads to turn in 2012 when he was caught in an explosive love triangle with Mimi Faust and Joseline Hernandez on Love & Hip Hop. Then, he emerged on the series in a new romance with Faith Evans. Their marriage in 2018 caused fans to grow curious about Stevie J’s wife and personal life.
A Surprise Wedding
Faith is noteworthy in her own right, separate from her title as Stevie J’s wife. She’s a singer who launched her career in the music industry in the early ’90s. The pair met during their time with Bad Boy, as Faith was also married to Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace. Although their wedded bliss seemed to be over when he passed, she is credited as his widow. After decades of friendship, Faith and Stevie made things official by tying the knot in 2018. It was reported the ceremony was in a Las Vegas hotel room.
Additionally, reality TV lovers can catch glimpses of Stevie and Faith‘s relationship in old Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta episodes. The popular show premiered in 2012, documenting the lives of some of the most successful rap-related residents of the Atlanta area. Faith’s appearance was short-lived, and the real drama in their romance unraveled away from the unscripted show’s cameras.
First Divorce Attempt In 2021
A low point in Faith and Stevie’s marriage was when she was arrested in May 2020 for felony domestic assault charges. Cops reportedly responded to a 911 call and escorted her into custody. Within the same day she was placed behind bars, she posted bail and returned home. After everything was said and done, the charges were officially dropped.
It was then that Stevie and Faith started uploading suspicious lovey-dovey content on social media. After her arrest, they tried to show the world they would make it work. It seemed the couple was moving in the right direction and staying on track… until cheating allegations and rumors surfaced. In a video posted on social media, Faith describes her hatred towards Stevie, who then responds to her with a very explicit remark. He reportedly said, “I hate you, too. You f—ked this [n-word] in my own house. B—h, f–k you.” He went on to say, “All I did was love you. How could you do that to me?”
Stevie Went After Faith For Spousal Support
Amid their 2021 attempted divorce debacle, Stevie reportedly asked the court to grant him spousal support from Faith. In that same request, he stated that he didn’t want Faith to have access to any of his own assets. Faith responded by asking the judge to terminate the notion of any spousal support being directed in Stevie’s way. The conversation about spousal support came to an end when they decided to see things through without continuing with their divorce plans. Now, fast-forwarding to the present day in 2023, it looks like their divorce is back in motion.
Stevie J Is Ready To Divorce Faith Evans Again In 2023
The drama between Stevie and Faith subsided for a short while after they dropped their 2021 divorce plans. Now, he’s ready to pursue the divorce on a far more severe level. In fact, Stevie hired a powerhouse lawyer from a firm called Harris Ginsberg to handle the incredibly messy case. However, the divorce might be at somewhat of a standstill for now. With Stevie’s new hard-hitting lawyers working on his behalf, the dissolution of his marriage could be right around the corner. As of now, Faith hasn’t responded.
The latest drama surrounding the ex-couple is that Stevie took Faith’s $164K Mercedes without her permission. He drove it to Coachella in what’s been labeled a “joy ride.” Faith expeditiously reported the car stolen, and the court ordered Stevie to return the vehicle immediately. Faith took it one step further by bringing up his suspended license.
Her latest posts on social media depict a woman who is unbothered, booked, and busy. She recently shared a couple of clips of her night out at a ritzy bar. Before that, she posted a close-up image of a stunning photoshoot. She also uploaded a group shot from her time in New Jersey. Based on her social media presence, she remains tightlipped about the current divorce proceedings.
