Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine made an impressive streaming debut, racking up 19.4 million global views within six days of its Nov. 12 release on Disney+, according to Disney. This milestone marks the film as the most-watched live-action title across Disney+ and Hulu since Black Panther: Wakanda Forever debuted in early 2023.
Variety notes Disney defines a “view” as total streaming time divided by the film’s runtime. For comparison, the animated hit Inside Out 2 achieved 30.5 million views in its first five days of streaming earlier this year.
Deadpool & Wolverine premiered in theaters in July 2024, heralding Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool’s long-awaited entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film also featured Hugh Jackman reprising his iconic role as Wolverine, his first appearance as the character since Logan (2017).
The film’s plot follows Deadpool as he discovers that the Time Variance Authority plans to eliminate his universe. He forms an unlikely alliance with a multiversal version of Wolverine to combat the threat.
The next few years of Uproxx’s How To Watch The Grammys posts are going to look a lot different, as The Recording Academy has inked a 10-year deal with Disney for the House of Mouse’s properties to become the new broadcast home for the Biggest Night in Music after 50 years with CBS. Beginning in 2027, the Grammys will simulcast on ABC, Hulu, and Disney+, which could simplify viewing for a massive number of households as more folks rely on streaming than broadcast TV (while Paramount+, the Grammys’ current streamer of choice, has 71 million subscribers, Disney+ has more than double that number at over 150 million).
The deal also includes multiple music specials and other programs associated with the Grammys, which could allow you non-industry types living outside Los Angeles the chance to take in some of the events that lead up to the big show as well.
Disney has made some pretty impressive strides in securing the rights to big television events over the past few months; in 2027, its properties will host not just the Grammys, but also the Academy Awards (the Oscars), and Super Bowl LXI.
Harvey Mason Jr., the CEO of the Recording Academy, said in the press release, “We are completely thrilled to be bringing The Grammys and other new music programming to the Disney ecosystem. We are grateful to our long-standing partners at CBS and now honored to be joining with Disney, an iconic company where creators have always been at the forefront. This partnership represents another important milestone in the Academy’s transformation and growth, and strengthens our ability to fulfill our mission of uplifting and serving music people around the world.”

Usher shared a series of photos of himself and his children on Instagram on Saturday after bringing his family to Dinsey’s amusement park. “Happiest place on earth with my favorite people on earth,” he wrote in the caption. The pictures show him and the kids on various rides, checking out the gift shop, posing with Mickey Mouse, and more.
When The Shade Room shared a compilation of the pictures, fans accused the singer of using his kids for a public relations opportunity. “It’s crazy that these celebrities hire photographers to walk around the park with them and their kids…” one user posted. Another wrote: “With everything that’s coming out about him sounds like the right thing to do…” Others had more wholesome responses while many of his fans came to his defense amid the allegations. One fan wrote: “People need to wait before accusing usher of anything, beiber has consistently shown love for usher, most recent being after the Super Bowl, right I don’t believe he did anything wrong.”
Usher Performs During His “Past Present Future” Tour
While Usher is in no way connected to Diddy’s recent arrest on charges of alleged sex trafficking and racketeering, fans thought he was trying to distance himself from the Bad Boy mogul, last month, after all of his social media posts were taken down. “Account got hacked and damn y’all ran with it! [laughing emojis]. See you tonight at Intuit Dome,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter) afterward.

North West is continuing to soak up more musical experience as the weeks fly by. She has been picking up knowledge from the patriarch, especially during the chaotic VULTURES era. Those contributions came on “TALKING,” one of its promo cuts. She turned in some pretty memorable vocals, perhaps the best out of the rest of the guests. Additionally, Miss Westie flashed her directorial skills by shooting a third music video for the song. Furthermore, it has been reported that her and pops are working on crafting her debut album Elementary School Dropout. But instead of taking time away from other opportunities, she is looking to improve in any way she can. North West recently did so with a dazzling Lion King showing.
According to TMZ, the eldest child portrayed the role of Simba from one of Disney’s greatest films as part of a 30th Anniversary concert. The Lion King will officially turn three decades old June 24 and to help commemorate it, Disney created this two-day event. It kicked off yesterday (May 24) and will run through tonight at the famous Hollywood Bowl amphitheater in Los Angeles. Furthermore, it is serving double duty as a way to promote the live action film Mufasa: The Lion King out on December 20.
North West was brought on stage to perform “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King,” which was one of many classics played from the award-winning soundtrack. Kanye, Kim, Kris Jenner, Kourtney Kardashian, as well as Travis Barker were all in attendance. The proud Mufasa was seen snapping pictures and taking videos of Simba in what surely was a “circle of life” moment.
What are your thoughts on North West performing “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” at the Lion King 30th Anniversary event? Is she destined to become the next musician in the West family? Where do you rank the score for The Lion King all time? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. The NBA is looking to move into new deals with Disney, NBC, and Amazon this week. With massive amounts on the table, Warner Bros. Discovery may take legal action. Without a resolution, the famed Inside the NBA may end after the 2024-25 season.
According to the Sports Business Journal, ESPN’s new deal will be worth $2.8 billion, delivering the NBA Finals, a conference final, weekly primetime games, and the WNBA and international writes. NBC will provide $2.6 billion, including a “Basketball Night in America” telecast on Sunday night after the NFL season, two more weekly primetime windows, conference semifinals, and a conference final. Amazon will pay between $1.8 billion and $2 billion to host the Emirates In-Season Tournament, the SoFi Play-In Tournament, first-round playoff games, the WNBA, and international rights.
Warner Bros.’s last-ditch effort would require a $2.6 billion match for the NBC deal, but it lacks the infrastructure to meet the requirements. The brand is also considered to be $40 billion in debt. Warner’s last year in NBA broadcasting would be the 2024-25 NBA season.
