Diddy Tipped Someone $250K After Winning $2Mil In Vegas

Diddy truly is all about the benjamins. The Bad Boy founder has his hands in everything from Tequila to television stations, — so money is never really an option. He proved so last month after purchasing a $6.5 million, 9,655-square-foot mansion in Los Angeles. Last year, he bought back his Sean John Clothing brand for a cool $7.6 million.

The generous music mogul doesn’t hoard his coins just for himself. Earlier this month, he gifted his “Shawty Wop,” Yung Miami, a Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 which starts at $160,500. It seems like Diddy is in a giving spirit these days. During a recent interview with iHeart Radio, the 52-year Harlemite revealed that he once tipped someone $250,000.

“I had won $2 million in Vegas, so I tipped the person that was the dealer the quarter of a million.”  According to the “Gotta Move On” rapper, he’s no stranger to leaving big tips. He added, “You know when I’m on a yacht, it’s a tip for the whole crew. If I win, we all win!” No word on when Diddy tipped the lucky casino dealer. However, he was recently in Las Vegas for the 2022 iHeart Music Festival earlier this month.

Aside from his moving performance at this year’s show, it was Diddy’s alleged guest, Daphne Joy, that had the Internet buzzing. Joy, who shares a child with 50 Cent, was called out by the Power creator for reportedly hanging out with Diddy. The mom and former video model penned a note to 50 on social media, asking to “be left alone.”

“Although my child’s father and I parted ways, I shifted my focus on my sons well being emotionally, spiritually, and everything in between,” she wrote in the note. “I’m so tired of defending my character, being pre judged and constantly being Villainized.”Diddy has yet to confirm or deny his relationship with Daphne. Diddy Says Woman Suing Him for Wrongful Termination is a “Meritless Shakedown” and Extortion Attempt

Diddy Cancels NYE Party Due to Rising COVID Cases in Florida

A woman claiming to be Kim Porter’s niece is suing Diddy for wrongful termination. According to TMZ, the woman claims Diddy ended her tenure after requesting to take maternity leave.

The woman’s identity is not disclosed, listed in docs as Jane Doe, but she is suing Diddy, Tri Star Sports, and more, citing she was a full-time nanny to Diddy’s twins after the November 2018 death of Porter. She said she was fired when she requested maternity leave two years later.

The woman states Diddy asked her to live at his estate, and she became responsible for the 24/7 care of the twins. The maternity leave was requested in August 2020, but Diddy was allegedly “infuriated” and terminated her job at the start of her time off. The woman stated reps for Diddy told her she was fired because she was pregnant and not married, setting a bad example.

In response, a spokesperson for Diddy told TMZ the lawsuit is a shakedown and extortion attempt while identifying the woman as Raven.

“Raven is not the niece of Kim Porter as she falsely alleges; nor is there any legal basis for this case to be filed under the anonymity as a ”Jane Doe”. Raven was a part time babysitter to the twins who Mr Combs kept on the job back in 2018 to provide continuity for the twins following the untimely death of their mother. Mr. Combs graciously permitted Raven to live in his home with her son and treated them like ‘family’.

Her babysitting services were always intended to be temporary especially since the girls were getting older and spending most of the day at school. In fact, Raven’s transition out of her role was planned and agreed to by her long before she even mentioned that she was pregnant. Mr. Combs will take swift and immediate action to protect his family against these false claims.”

Diddy Sued By Woman Who Claims To Be Kim Porter’s Niece: Report

A strange report has emerged this week and it shows that Sean “Diddy” Combs is being targeted in a lawsuit. This isn’t just any bit of litigation; the person taking to Diddy to court is only known by “Jane Roe” in documents, stated TMZ, but in a follow-up, a “source” claimed the woman wasn’t telling the truth.

Today (September 27), the outlet reported that Roe alleged she is a relative of Kim Porter‘s who worked for the mogul as a live-in nanny.

Porter, who unexpectedly passed away in November 2018, was Diddy’s ex and mother to three of his children. Roe—who stated that she is the late mom of four’s niece—suggested that the day after Porter passed, Diddy asked her if she could move in and become a full-time, around-the-clock nanny to his twin daughters, D’Lila and Jessie James.

It was in August 2020, nearly two years after Porter’s death, that Roe claimed she told Diddy she was pregnant and asked for maternity leave. When the time came for her to temporarily leave her position, Roe alleged that Diddy was angered and fired her. She claimed that because she was with child but unmarried, he said it “set a bad example” for his kids.

After their story went viral, TMZ returned to say that a “source” told them the woman was not Porter’s niece, nor was she terminated because she was expecting.

Today In Hip Hop History: Shyne Dropped His Eponymous Debut Album 22 Years Ago

Screen Shot 2022 09 26 at 5.35.28 AM

On this date in 2000, Bad Boy Records premiere artist Jamal “Shyne” Barrow released his self-titled debut album on the ever-popular Bad Boy imprint under the leadership of BB honcho, then known as “P. Diddy.”

Shyne’s debut album release was a bittersweet one, with his LP being dropped while the Belize-born rapper was serving 8-10 years in an upstate prison for a shooting in Club New York in Manhattan just a year prior involving his boss and then-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. Despite Barrow having to do time behind bars, his album was an undisputed success, selling over a million copies in less than a year. It also was a tremendous help that Shyne’s voice was eerily identical to slain Bad Boy artist Notorious B.I.G.

With the album content surrounding Shyne’s real-life gangster image, the project’s leading singles, “Bad Boyz”, which features reggae legend Barrington Levy and the thug love story “Bonnie And Shyne”, were not only popular in the streets, but also did their numbers on-air, with the singles in constant rotation on the radio around the country.

Salute to Diddy, Shyne and the rest of the Bad Boy staff for bringing the people such a timeless Hip Hop classic!

Jadakiss Explains Why He ‘Really Hated’ Ghostwriting For Diddy Early In His Career

There are a lot of avenues to success in the music business. While most folks probably immediately think of performers since they’re the most visible product of the industry, songwriting is actually one of the most lucrative. Although songwriters might not receive as much attention and fame, they get a lot of love on the backend — unless they aren’t credited as writers, in which case, they’re considered ghostwriters and usually get paid up front for services rendered.

And while that’s still a pretty decent gig if you can get it, for potential stars like a young Jadakiss, it’s not enough without the spotlight. As Jadakiss told fellow New York rapper Smoke DZA on The Personal Party Podcast recently, the Yonkers standout “really hated” his early career role penning hits for the far-more-famous Puff Daddy (aka Sean “Diddy” Combs).

“After giving him ‘[All About] the Benjamins,’ ‘Señorita,’ ‘Victory,’ a couple remixes, I used to feel like it was taking away too much from me,” Kiss explains in a snippet of the episode on social media. “I ain’t know how to morph. It ain’t like he a n**** that I knew my whole life that I can just scribe him how I think he should be. I ain’t feel like I could write the bars for myself and give it to him, because I ain’t feel like it fit him. He had too much money. I was still extra grungy. My mind couldn’t think of that much Versace or being on that type of financial level. It used to conflict with me writing for him.”

As he elaborates, he felt that if he gave Diddy “Jada-style” rhymes, the glitzier Bad Boy founder’s image wouldn’t support the bars. However, he credits Combs for being able to sell them like they were his own anyway. “He just used to tell me, ‘Give me the shit that you would say for you,’” Kiss recalls. “I’m like, ‘It ain’t gon’ fit for you.’ He used to know how to make it work.”

To his own credit, Jadakiss has become a star in his own right, a highly-coveted and respected feature killer among his peers and contemporaries, and a fascinating repository of hip-hop history and behind-the-scenes knowledge.
