Lil Scrappy Threatens To Fight Diddy In Reaction To Leaked Cassie Assault Video

The entire hip-hop world has been reacting to Diddy’s newest controversy. Over the weekend CNN leaked a video allegedly showing an assault he was accused of last year. The allegation came in a lawsuit filed against Diddy by Cassie. Though the lawsuit was settled quickly, the newly unearthed video presented a much more revelatory lens on what actually went down between the pair. The video has tons of rap fans and many within the rap community itself sharing their reactions, including Lil Scrappy.

In a long and profanity-laced new video, Scrappy relentlessly attacks Diddy. He wasn’t afraid to use strong language to condemn Diddy’s actions. “That was some real b*tch sh*t. You can tell he was doing that sh*t for a long time,” he says at one point in the video. At a different moment he also physically threatens Diddy claiming that the new video makes him want to start a fight with the rap mogul. In the comments some fans agree with him, but many are quick to point out Scrappy’s own history. “Scrappy should be the last person talking” one comment says. Others condemn him for not speaking out until there was a video as they think he already knew the extent of Diddy’s actions. Check out the full rant he shared below.

Lil Scrappy Shares Heated Diddy Rant

Lil Scrappy is hardly the only one to level harsh condemnation of Diddy’s actions following the release of the new video. Aubrey O’Day has been one of the rap mogul’s most vocal critics in the past few months and she unsurprisingly commented once again. In her new post she called out the fact that Diddy denied all of the allegations against him until he no longer could. She and Charlamagne The God have both made the claim that this invalidates his attempted apology.

What do you think of Lil Scrappy’s new rant aimed at Diddy following the leaked video of him allegedly assaulting Cassie? Do you think some of the stronger reactions from various figures in the rap world are appropriate? Let us know in the comment section below.

Why Diddy Can’t Be Charged For His 2016 Cassie LA Hotel Assault

Although tape recently surfaced confirming that Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulted his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura at a Los Angeles hotel in 2016, the music mogul will not face charges in that incident, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. The LAPD told local news that the incident is past the statute of limitations, meaning charges couldn’t be filed due to the amount of time that has passed.

A statement from LAPD reads:

We are aware of the video that has been circulating online allegedly depicting Sean Combs assaulting a young woman in Los Angeles. We find the images extremely disturbing and difficult to watch. If the conduct depicted occurred in 2016, unfortunately we would be unable to charge as the conduct would have occurred beyond the timeline where a crime of assault can be prosecuted.

Diddy’s alleged abuse was first made public when Cassie sued him in November of last year. The incident from the footage was mentioned in the lawsuit, as well as the claim that Diddy paid the hotel $50,000 to suppress the security footage, which depicts Diddy, clad in only a towel, chasing Cassie down the hallway, knocking her down, and kicking her on the ground.

Diddy settled the lawsuit out of court a day after it was filed, but that only set off a firestorm of additional suits; additionally, a federal investigation into sex trafficking claims against the Bad Boy Records founder led to raids on several of his properties. Diddy recorded an apology video on Sunday (May 19) but did not mention Cassie or the 2016 hotel incident, leaving it unclear to whom he was apologizing — or what for.

Stephen A. Smith Believes It’s ‘Over’ for Diddy After Assault Video

Many celebrity reporters and journalists have weighed in on the 2016 video footage showing P. Diddy assaulting his former girlfriend Cassie, leading to widespread opinions and criticism.

Among those voicing their thoughts is sports commentator Stephen A. Smith, known for his outspoken nature. Smith declared that the producer and singer’s career is over following the video’s release.

On his podcast, Smith spoke harshly about the issue, clearly stating that he did not hold back his feelings towards Diddy and the situation.

“I want to declare, right here, over these digital airwaves of YouTube that the career of Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs as we know it, is over,” Stephen A. began saying on his social media program. “This s**t is over. It’s over in the worst possible way. One of the worst possible ways that you can imagine.”

But the criticism didn’t stop there. Smith added, “I have the video right in front of me. We can’t show it to you. But I’m watching this with the sound off as we speak. She’s walking down the hallway in a hoodie, y’all. Clearly tryna sneak out of the hotel room. We see him come sprinting down the hallway in just a towel. That’s it. He goes up to her, snatches her by the neck, yanks her to the ground. She lays there, still. OK? I’m looking at the video while I’m talking to you. He snatches her by the neck. Unless this is some look-a-like. Unless this is some clone. Unless this is somebody from Mission Impossible, like Tom Cruise, wearing somebody else’s face, looking exactly like them when it ain’t them at all.”

Smith made a comparison to the infamous video of former NFL running back Ray Rice, who like Diddy (allegedly) was filmed by a security camera, but actually in an elevator where he punched and presumably knocked out his fiancée in 2013. That incident ended his football career. Like Rice, guessing the end may be near for “Brother Love.”

Luenell Blasts Diddy After Video Of Abuse Surfaces Online

Recently, a video purportedly showing Sean “Diddy” Combs abusing his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel corridor went viral. The video, which dates from March 5, 2016, was exclusively obtained by CNN in the midst of Diddy’s continuing accusations. Comedian and actress Luenell released a statement in reaction to the video leak. She claims that Black women are the most “disrespected” group in society.  The comedian made a strong response to the video of abuse that made waves on social media this weekend.

On Instagram, Diddy has responded in a formal manner. He expresses regret for his behavior in a video and says he has subsequently sought professional assistance. He says, “It’s so hard to think back on the worst periods of your life, but sometimes you just have to.” “I was f*cked up — I hit rock bottom — but I make no excuses.” Luenell said, “If Diddy had smacked JLo like that, drag her down the hallway, he’d been in jail eight years ago.” The comedian went on to say much more. Luenell is fed up with Diddy’s abuse.

Luenell has expressed her thoughts on social media in the wake of the recently surfaced video. The video shows Diddy appearing to abuse his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel corridor. The alleged event happened eight years ago. She stated that Sean Combs would have been incarcerated long ago if he had been shown on tape abusing Jennifer Lopez. The comedian went on to say, “Y’all will believe when we say that Black women are the most disrespected, underserved, under-believed women in society.”

According to Luenell, Diddy would likewise be in jail if he had done the same to a “snow bunny” or a “white woman with blonde hair and blue eyes.” However, since Cassie was a woman of color, he was able to continue living a free life. The comic clarified that women didn’t “report” assaults since their claims were never taken seriously. According to Luenell, Cassie became “involved” with Combs before to reaching adulthood. This fact exacerbated her situation and made it “so much easier to walk away” for Combs and “not catch a case.” Overall, Luenell concluded, “I feel so bad for Cassie. She’s married now, she got children, she’s living her life, but she’s like, ‘I’m gonna go stand up, if this sh*t is going to go down.” Luenell is fed up with Diddy and everything that has been alleged.

Diddy’s Alleged Drug Mule Avoids Jail Time After Accepting Cushy Plea Deal

Diddy's Alleged Drug Mule Avoids Jail Time After Accepting Cushy Plea Deal

Sean Diddy Combs’ alleged drug mule, Brendan Paul, has secured a deal to avoid jail time. Remember that guy? He used to play for Syracuse basketball before rolling with Diddy. Full stop. How did that ever happen? Anyway, PEOPLE confirmed that Paul, who was arrested in March for possession of cocaine and marijuana amid federal sex trafficking accusations involving the hip-hop mogul, has entered a drug diversion program. This development means that Paul will avoid jail if he completes the program successfully.

“Brendan accepted the prosecutor’s offer to permit his entry into the diversion program which, after completion, the case against him will be dismissed in its entirety,” said Brian Bieber, Paul’s attorney, in a statement obtained by PEOPLE.

A representative for the Miami-Dade State Attorney stated that this was a “standard offer to a non-violent defendant with no priors,” according to TMZ.

Paul, a former Syracuse University basketball player, was arrested on March 27 on felony charges of cocaine and marijuana possession. An affidavit obtained by PEOPLE indicated that Miami-Dade police, working with Homeland Security agents, apprehended Paul at Opa-Locka airport while simultaneously raiding Combs’ two homes. The affidavit claimed that Paul had suspected cocaine and marijuana in his travel bags at the time of his arrest.

Paul had also been named in a civil sexual assault lawsuit filed by Combs’ former producer and videographer, Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones. Jones alleged that Paul was Combs’ “mule” responsible for acquiring and distributing his “drugs and guns.”

Despite Paul’s arrest, there did not appear to be a direct connection to the 54-year-old artist known for “I’ll Be Missing You.”

In a statement to PEOPLE on March 27, Attorney Bieber said, “We do not plan on trying this case in the media — all issues will be dealt with in court.”

The Miami-Dade police department declined to comment on the matter. In April, Paul was formally charged with felony cocaine possession. However, court documents revealed that an additional felony charge for marijuana-laced candy was dropped.

Diddy’s Arch Enemy 50 Cent Reacts to Horrific Assault Hotel Footage

50 on G-Unit Biopic: 'I'd Like to Forget G-Unit'

On Friday, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson let his feelings be known regarding the heinous video of his arch-enemy Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his ex Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway back in 2016.

He posted on X (Twitter) “👀 Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing ! This is what his lawyers are gonna say,” the “In Da Club” and added “God help us all 🙏🏾.”

ICYMI, and trigger warning, the now infamous clip, shows what appears to be Diddy throwing Cassie on the ground before kicking her and then dragging her across the hallway floor. Disgusting.

The assault went down near the elevator area not too far from what appears to be their room at what is currently the shuttered InterContinental Hotel in Century City. That’s a ritzy part of LA County surrounded by office buildings, ironically mostly law firms and entertainment industry workspaces.

So, the video footage was obtained by CNN, wow, not even TMZ had this horrifically ugly scoop, which seems to corroborate select allegations made by Ventura, in her bombshell lawsuit that alleged physical abuse, rape and more from Diddy. The suit was settled within less than 24 hours of it becoming public.

On Friday, 50 was relentless and reposted Combs’ previously made statement where he said he “did not do any of the awful things being alleged.” Whelp that aged poorly. 50 Cent then made a caption from the screen grab “The lie detector test has determined this was a lie…. Maury vibes.”

This is on par with 50 Cent’s vibes surrounding the ongoing Diddy scandals and now seemingly proven abuse. After the suit from Ventura, 50 posted “LOL 😆 He paid that money real quick, should have done that before the sharks 🦈  saw the blood in the water 🩸 and here they come in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 every woman he put his hand on,” The post was then deleted but the internet misses nothing per usual.

How Has Hip-Hop Reacted To Diddy Assault Footage?

The Diddy-Cassie Ventura assault allegations took a new twist on Friday, May 17, 2024, after CNN released footage showing the rapper purportedly attacking his ex in a Los Angeles hotel. The video was from 2016 and was really disturbing as Diddy was seen in the footage punching and kicking Cassie. The video showed a raged Diddy while Cassie ran for safety. In November 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Diddy, accusing him of sexually and physically abusing her for years. One of the incidents she recounted in the lawsuit occurred at the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles in 2016. In the suit, Cassie, who dated Diddy from 2007 to 2018, claimed he gave her a black eye after becoming drunk during one of his alleged wild sex parties.

Cassie further claimed that she tried to leave after Diddy was asleep, but he pursued her to the hotel’s hallway, where he punched and kicked her. The singer further claimed that Diddy paid the hotel $50,000 for the security video. Diddy and Cassie would later settle the lawsuit amicably. After the resolution, Diddy’s lawyer said the settlement didn’t mean an “admission of wrongdoing.” However, despite the earlier denial, the newly released footage seems to prove Cassie’s allegations. Since the video’s release, the hip-hop community has reacted angrily to Diddy’s actions. The rap mogul has also issued an apology. Get inside all the hip-hop community’s reactions to the disturbing video below.

50 Cent’s Reaction To The Diddy-Cassie Assault Footage

After the video of Diddy pummelling Cassie went viral, Diddy’s archnemesis, 50 Cent, reposted the video on Instagram. In the post’s caption, 50 Cent sarcastically wrote, “👀Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing ! This is what his lawyers are gonna say, God help us all 🙏🏿.”

The G-Unit boss also appeared on X, quoting Diddy’s initial post about the allegations against him. In the post, Diddy claimed he didn’t do any of the awful things he was accused of and vowed to fight for his name, family, and the truth. However, after the footage was released, 50 Cent quoted Diddy’s post and wrote, “The lie detector test has determined this was a lie…. Maury vibes.”

Wack 100’s Reaction

Music executive Wack 100 aired his thoughts on the video of Diddy assaulting Cassie via an Instagram Live video. In the video, Wack 100 prayed for Diddy to get assaulted if he ever landed in jail. He said, “Diddy, I just seen that video. You’s a b***ch a*s n***a. And I hope, if whatever happens to you happens to you, I hope Big Freddy and Deebo Eddie strap your a*s down. And I hope nobody come help your a*s.” Wack 100 concluded, “It’s going down. You did this.”

Rah Digga Calls Diddy-Cassie Assault Video “Disturbing”

Like everyone else, rapper and actress Rah Digga found the Diddy and Cassie assault video upsetting. She took to X to express her displeasure, writing, “That Diddy footage is too disturbing.” Rah added, “Interesting that this is from 2016 and just coming out now. Did someone at the hotel JUST grow a conscience [sic]? Did the NDA expire? Was he late on the evidence suppression payment? So many questions…AND some of yall owe Cassie an apology.”

Safaree Recalls Past Trauma

Rapper Safaree reacted to the Diddy-Cassie assault video via X. In his first reactionary post, he wrote, “Speechless.” In another deleted post, Safaree said the assault video triggered a thought of a past experience. He wrote, “Damn I can’t unsee that video..definitely brings back childhood memories.” Although Safaree didn’t give details of the memories the video triggered, his fans will hope he speaks about them soon.

Plies Shares His Thoughts

Rapper Plies posted his thoughts about the incident on X. He queried men for trying to control young women with luxury and physical relationships and then abusing them. Plies wrote, “These N*ggaz Have All This Money Get These Young Chicks So They Can Control Them!! Then When The Money & Sex Ain’t Enough To Control Them. Then They Wanna Beat’em!!!!!”

Willie D Believes The Police Will Reopen Investigation Into Kim Porter’s Death

After the footage of Diddy assaulting Cassie went viral, many people called for an investigation into the death of Diddy’s ex-partner Kim Porter. In a YouTube video, rapper and songwriter Willie D said Diddy’s behavior was unacceptable. Willie D also called out celebrities who were silent about the issue until the video emerged. He also said Diddy’s swiftness in settling the lawsuit with Cassie made him believe she had something huge against him. Concluding, he added, “I wouldn’t be surprised if they reopened the investigation into her (Kim Porter’s) death.”

Bobby Shmurda Criticizes Diddy

Rapper Bobby Shmurda went on Instagram and condemned Diddy for not controlling his emotions. The angered rapper said Diddy should have shown more restraint and avoided hitting Cassie no matter what led to the incident. In his post’s caption, Bobby wrote, “😂😂 nah yall Niccas is moving dusty this sh*t gotta stop ain’t no female worth yah freedom and ladies it should be no amount of money worth your respect 🫡 I seen one of my fav celebrities do some straight dayroom sh*t smh ( Prevention Before Cure ) #PBC young bulls These been day room a real one won’t ever you don’t see us in those positions smh leave the 🐱before you beat the 🐱#shmurdaphilosophy.”

Emanny Says Diddy Is A Disgusting Person

“Just A Phase” singer Emanny shared a post on X after the Diddy-Cassie assault video was released. In his post, he said there was enough evidence to show that Diddy did wrong and shouldn’t be defended. Emanny wrote, “We have video proof so ain’t nothing else to question. Sean ‘Puffy, P. Diddy, Puff, Diddy & Love’ Combs is a disgusting person and anyone willing to defend his actions should seek therapy right along with him.”

Slim Thug Takes The “L”

Before the Diddy-Cassie assault video’s release, Slim Thug was one of those who defended Diddy after Cassie made her allegations. However, after the video emerged, he apologized on social media. The rapper shared a screenshot of a news headline about the assault video and captioned it, “Damn Diddy 🤦🏾‍♂️ I tried to ride with the Blk man who had no charges yet but I can’t stand behind this 🤐 I’ll take this L. But I still will ride with my ppl until I see some sort of proof I don’t believe in blogs or civil suits. Apologies to Cassie and whoever else was on the right side this time 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾.”

Diddy Apologizes After Assault Video’s Release

Following the assault video’s release on Friday, Diddy apologized for his wrongdoing. In a video he shared on Instagram, the 54-year-old said, “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f*****d up. I mean, I hit rock bottom but I make no excuses.” Diddy also said he had no excuse for how he acted on the video. He took full responsibility for his actions and added, “I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now.”

Diddy concluded by profusely apologizing. He expressed his commitment to being a better man daily and said, “I’m not asking for forgiveness; I am truly sorry.” Following Diddy’s apology, Cassie’s lawyer, Meredith Firetog, responded via a statement. She added, “Combs’ most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt. When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday.” Meredith concluded, “That he was only compelled to ‘apologize’ once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words.”

50 Cent Labels Diddy’s Apology A Bad Move

Like Cassie’s lawyer, Diddy’s long-term troll, 50 Cent, didn’t buy Diddy’s apology. 50 Cent reposted Diddy’s apology on his Instagram page and captioned the post, “👀This is not going to work, who is advising him right now? SMH bad move.” Afterward, 50 shared a screenshot of Cassie’s lawyer’s statement and added, “I understand how she feels seeing him apologize not addressing her after this video gets out. It makes it feel like he wasn’t thinking of how she felt having to see it. SMH where is his crisis management PR team? That was a bad move 😳.”

50 Cent isn’t the only person reacting negatively to Diddy’s apology. Many angered people took to social media to vent their anger and frustration toward the Bad Boy mogul. Most people said they didn’t accept the apology, causing the phrase “No Diddy” to trend on X. He is walking a tightrope at the moment, and it would take more than just an apology for him to undo his alleged past transgressions that continue to catch up with him.

Aubrey O’Day Tears Apart Diddy’s Apology With Scathing Twitter Rant

Once again everyone is talking about Diddy. And once again not many have good things to say. That’s because last week CNN shared a video of the rap mogul appearing to physically abuse Cassie. It reminded fans that his recent string of controversies all got started last year when Cassie sued him. Though the lawsuit was settled very quickly it turned into the first in a series of dominoes that’s resulted in months of trouble for the rap figure. One person who has plenty of experience with Diddy himself is Aubrey O’Day, and she’s consistently commented on his situation publicly as it develops. In her most recent statement, she took aim at Diddy’s recent apology.

Diddy shared a video publicly apologizing for his actions in the video, though many took issue with the video. As O’Day points out, it’s a very different kind of claim than the one he made when the allegations were originally leveled. “Diddy did not apologize to Cassie. He apologized to the world for seeing what he did. He says he’s ‘disgusted w himself now, and he was disgusted w himself then’.. but apparently he wasn’t disgusted enough w himself to not PIN this statement out calling her a liar & denying all of it.. leave god and mercy out of this, they aren’t present here, and you know it,” her tweet reads. It also features a screenshot of a post Diddy made denying all the allegations against him. Check out the post below.

O’Day isn’t the only one reacting to Diddy’s apology video. Charlamagne The God recently shared his thoughts on the clip. He questioned whether or not Diddy is actually feeling any remorse in the clip and if his apology is even honest.

What do you think of Aubrey O’Day’s scathing response to Diddy’s recent apology for the leaked Cassie video? Do you think she’s right that Diddy is only apologizing because he can’t deny the evidence anymore? Let us know in the comment section below.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams Is ‘Considering’ Revoking Diddy’s Key To The City, As He Explained

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is aware of this weekend’s developments involving Sean “Diddy” Combs. Mayor Adams joined PIX11 News on Monday morning, May 20, and was asked about “possibility rescinding” the Key To The City bestowed upon him by Mayor Adams last September.

“I think all of us were deeply disturbed by watching that chilling video of the young lady being assaulted by him, and the committee and the team — we’ve never rescinded a key before, but we are now sitting down to see what the next steps forward are going to be,” Mayor Adams said.

Last November, Cassie Ventura filed a disturbing, lengthy lawsuit in Manhattan Federal District Court, which cited years of abuse at the hands of Diddy, her ex. Diddy settled with Cassie in less than 48 hours, but, through his attorney, Diddy maintained his innocence. Cassie’s lawsuit opened the floodgates for several more women to file similar allegations and lawsuits against Diddy. In December, Diddy released a statement claiming that all of the allegations were “people try[ing] to assassinate my character” and alleged that all of the people coming forward were “looking for a quick payday.”

That statement did not age well. On Friday, May 17, CNN exclusively hotel surveillance video from 2016 showing Diddy physically assaulting Cassie, and Diddy issued a lackluster “apology” on Sunday, May 19.

When asked to clarify whether he is, indeed, considering revoking Diddy’s Key to New York City, Adams said, “We are taking everything under analysis, and the team will come back to me with a final determination.”

Desi Banks Called Out For Parody Video Mocking Diddy’s Apology Video

Following the online release of a video showing the founder of Bad Boy Records abusing his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, Sean “Diddy” Combs finds himself back at the center of the discourse. Diddy has apologized after the violent video caused an enormous amount of backlash. The apology video for the music mogul was then parodied by comedian Desi Banks. Still, there were differing opinions on Desi Banks. A few people on social media thought the spoof was humorous. Banks has come under fire from detractors for allegedly trivializing a serious problem so quickly after the news emerged.

Some explicit video of Diddy and his ex-girlfriend Cassie in a hotel in 2016 surfaced online on Friday. The singer is seen being chased by the CEO of Bad Boy Records along a corridor in the unsettling video. He kicks and pulls her to the ground before trying to take her back to his room. Since then, the video has gone viral, inspiring indignation among several peers and users of social media on the purported attack. Desi Banks took the apology from Diddy as an opportunity to make a parody video. Many fans have called out the comedian’s choice to do so.

Social Media was split on Desi Banks Diddy’s apology video parody. A few individuals who are presumably fans of the comedian were adamant that they people are just upset for no reason. They imply that if anyone else made the parody, they would think it is funny. Others just thought the skit was inappropriate. Many argued that the subject matter and seriousness of what’s going on means it’s kind of insensitive to try and make comedic content out of it. All in all, people are talking about Desi Banks and his decision to make a Diddy Parody.

Desi Banks became well-known online thanks to his humorous Vine skits, which he then took to YouTube and X. Additionally, he had appearances in movies including Little (2019), which starred Regina Hall, Issa Rae, and Marsai Martin. Overall, the skit probably worked as intended as Desi Banks has had his name floating around social media for a couple of days now.
