27-year-old DaniLeigh’s relationship with DaBaby may not have worked out exactly as planned, but it did produce the pair’s adorable 1-year-old daughter, Velour.

In the time since the young girl’s arrival, the “BOOGEYMAN” rapper and his ex have gotten in plenty of public blowouts, one of which even resulted in a bowling alley brawl between Baby and DaniLeigh’s brother, Brandon Bill$. At this time, they appear to have a civil co-parenting arrangement, although Dani didn’t hold back on venting about her feelings about their tumultuous split when sharing her My Side EP in July.

While the 30-year-old is already a father of several other children, Velour is the Miami-born singer’s firstborn, and the pride she clearly has for her little girl shines through all the way down her Instagram feed.

We’ve scoped out DaniLeigh’s social media to find her sweetest mother-daughter moments with her little one – keep scrolling to see the heartwarming photos for yourself.

The “Cravin’” hitmaker’s fans were first introduced to her baby girl at the end of 2021. Currently, the earliest photo of Velour on her mom’s feed was shared in December and sees Dani gushing over the infant’s eyes, smirk, and face. Other uploads from the same month see the baby at her smallest, before she would go on to grow into Leigh’s mini-me.

DaniLeigh took a hiatus from posting for almost the entire first half of 2022, but when May came around, she returned to celebrate her first Mother’s Day in a very public (and adorable) way. The month saw plenty of fun in the sun for the two as well when the entertainer showed off her child’s luxurious Burberry bathing suit and snapped some selfies during golden hour.

Things got busy for the 27-year-old in June as she prepared for the release of her juicy EP, but she still found time in her busy schedule to arrange time for Velour to join her at work in Los Angeles.

She may only be one, but BabyLeigh was still able to assist her mom with her latest project, appearing in both the “Dead To Me” music video and a teaser trailer for the My Side project.

July brought plenty of celebration for DaniLeigh, but once August rolled around, it was Velour’s turn to take over the spotlight. The growing girl celebrated her first birthday on the 12th by cruising around in her own little car to match her mama’s, and when it was time for her party, she spent the day dancing and making memories with her friends and family.

As the summer came to an end, DaniLeigh headed out on the road to our her new music until mid-October. While she’s certainly having fun chasing her dreams, based on a recent IG upload, it’s clear that she’s missing her daughter now more than ever.

DaniLeigh, fresh off her new EP, MY SIDE, now announces the “4 Velour” Tour, her first major head­lining tour of the U.S. The five-week, 21-city “4 Velour” Tour will begin on September 9 at the Observatory in Santa Ana, California, and conclude on October 13 with a homecoming performance at the Novo in Los Angeles.

The week before MY SIDE came out, Dani released her most recent “Heartbreaker” single and lyric video. She had made her eagerly anticipated comeback in May with the heartbreakingly honest tune “Dead To Me,” whose music video debuted this month.

In support of “Dead To Me,” People Magazine exclusively shares Danileigh’s in-depth interview with iHeart Radio’s on-air personality Angie Martinez to discuss the past two tumultuous years, her relationships, motherhood, and what’s next for the artist.

“Dead To Me”is the first new single for DaniLeigh, since she highly praised album Movie and film counterpart of 2020, which included her three single + video successes of that year: “Levi High”, (precursor to the “Levi High Challenge” TikTok compilation video); “Dominican Mami” featuring Fivio Foreign (whose sizzling video was shot on location in DaniLeigh’s ancestral Dominican Republic); and “Monique,” soundtrack of Finish Line’s high-profile #ShoesSoFresh campaign. 

In support of that campaign, DaniLeigh personally appeared in the Chapter 1 Parks Department video with Caleb McLaughlin and Lil Durk, which generated over 30 million streams, and over 13 million YouTube views in its first three weeks.

DaniLeigh Opens Up About Her ‘Toxic’ Relationship With DaBaby: ‘We Broke Up A Lot’

At the end of 2020, DaniLeigh and DaBaby made their relationship official with intimate Instagram posts that they shared on their respective accounts. Almost a year later, any sign of that relationship continuing crashed and burned as the two artists engaged in a public and heated argument on Instagram Live. Things only got worse afterward, as just a few months later, videos on social media captured DaBaby and DaniLeigh’s brother engaged in a fight at a Los Angeles bowling alley. After staying silent about anything DaBaby-related for the past few months, DaniLeigh decided to speak out about their past relationship in a new interview.

In a sit-down with Angie Martinez, DaniLeigh discussed the “on and off” relationship she had with DaBaby. “It was toxic,” she said. “We had our really good times. We were in love. He had his little mess-ups and stuff, so we’d break up for a month and then get back together… We broke up a lot.”

The interview arrives after DaniLeigh released “Dead To Me,” a song that speaks about the “toxic energy” she experienced in a past relationship, presumably with DaBaby. In the song, she says, “You f*cking all these h*es/Thinking I wouldn’t know/You played me like a fool, lil baby/Got a b*tch thinking I’m crazy.”

His relationship with DaniLeigh is not the only controversial thing that DaBaby has been involved in as of late. He recently avoided charges for shooting a man who invaded his North Carolina home, but that came after he was charged with felony battery for punching a man during a music video shoot.
