Donald Trump Hangs With Mike Tyson, Kid Rock & More At UFC 287

Former and indicted president Donald Trump popped out for a surprise appearance at UFC 287. Not only that, but the Miami crowd on Saturday night (April 8) went crazy when he came out with Dana White and Kid Rock. Also, a picture went viral online of the trio posing up with Mike Tyson, and another made rounds for No. 45 grabbing a bottle of Prime energy drink. Given that news of his arrest and not guilty plea rocked the news world, many wondered how he was able to get there in the first place. When you’re facing accountability for your crimes and need a public boost in favor, all roads point to surprising a Florida sporting event.

Of course, this isn’t the first time that people spotted Donald Trump at UFC events, to varying degrees of anger. For example, celebrities like Mel Gibson and Addison Rae showed him some love at UFC 246, with many particularly criticizing Rae for saying hi. On that note, he also faced a lot of protestors outside UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden, which didn’t faze him at all as he attended the event. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that Trump would want to greet fans yet again at the MMA brawl.

Donald Trump Pops Out At UFC 287 Amid Arrest

However, Donald Trump still has much bigger fish to fry. Recently, he responded to his legal troubles during a speech at Mar-A-Lago. “They can’t beat us at the ballot box, so they try to beat us through the law,” the 76-year-old said. “The only crime that I’ve committed is to fearlessly defend our nation from those who seek to destroy it. The criminal is the district attorney because he illegally leaked massive amounts of grand jury information, for which he should be prosecuted — or at a minimum, he should resign.

“In the wings, they’ve got a local racist Democrat district attorney in Atlanta who is doing everything in our power to indict me over an absolutely perfect phone call — even more perfect than the one I made with the president of Ukraine,” he continued. “Then you have a radical left lunatic, known as a bomb-thrower, who is harassing hundreds of my people day after day over the boxes hoax. This lunatic new special prosecutor named Jack Smith … others of his ilk say he’s even worse than they are.” Hopefully his statements don’t obfuscate the extent of his crimes for those still on the fence. Stefon Diggs is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. This weekend, he is going to have a huge task ahead of him as his Buffalo Bills look to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals. The winner of this game will play in the AFC Championship game against either the Chiefs or Jaguars.

Overall, Diggs is looking to have a massive impact on the game. Given his skills, he has the power to help give his team the win. However, it is never going to be easy against a team like the Bengals. After all, his opponent Joe Burrow is a beast on the field.

Stefon Diggs Kicks Back And Relaxes

Ahead of this game, Stefon Diggs has been spending some time at home where he can just relax and get tuned in. As it turns out, he was watching some TV on Wednesday night, and stumbled upon the premiere of Dana White’s Power Slap league.

For those who don’t know, Power Slap capitalizes on the growing sport of slap boxing. It can be a pretty brutal sport, and Diggs found that out while watching. In the video clip below, Diggs offered some hilarious commentary while watching some matches. Overall, he was mesmerized by the sport, and it seems as though Power Slap has a new fan.

Diggs was not the only one on social media who had something to say about Power Slap. There were plenty of hilarious reactions to the new league. However, there were certainly some detractors out there who feel like this is just going to give people brain damage.

UFC Drops Francis Ngannou & Strips Him Of Title

The UFC has released heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou from his contract with the organization following years of contractual battles. Ngannou is now free to sign with any other combat sports promotion.

UFC president Dana White confirmed the split at a press conference on Saturday. In addition to no longer being affiliated with the UFC, he has been stripped of the heavyweight title.

“We’ve been working on a new agreement with Francis for like two years now,” White said. “We had gotten to a point where he was going to fight Jon Jones, many who believe he’s the best of all time for the heavyweight championship. And Jon Jones has been willing, and ready, and able to fight anybody. He didn’t care who it was. Could have been anybody in the heavyweight division, he was ready to go.”

He continued: “We offered Francis a deal that would have made him the highest paid heavyweight in the history of the company. More than [Brock] Lesnar, more than anybody, and he turned the deal down.”

White went on to accuse Ngannou of wanting to face lesser opponents for more money. Ngannou has yet to respond to White’s comments,

Additionally, White announced that Jon Jones will fight Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight championship at UFC 285 on March 4. The event will mark Jones’ first fight in the UFC since February 2020.

White said Jones was “ready, willing, and able” to fight any heavyweight opponent, including Ngannou.

Dana White Rejects Punishment For Slapping Wife

A New Year’s Eve altercation continues to haunt Dana White. The UFC president faced viral backlash after a video circulated showing White’s wife slapping him in the face. Then, immediately, he strikes her back before someone steps in a separates the couple. The pair later apologized for the display, but White again addressed the scandal at UFC Vegas 67.

“I’m sure you guys have seen the TMZ video and have seen my interview,” White said. “It was obviously a horrible personal experience. There’s no excuses for it. It’s something I’m going to have to deal with and live with for the rest of my life. One thing I do want to clarify that I didn’t talk about on TMZ because I didn’t expect it and didn’t see coming are the people that are defending me.”

White also stated he didn’t want anyone defending his actions. “All the criticism that I have received this week is 100 percent warranted and will receive in the future.”

Some have questioned if the mogul would have some There were suggestions that he should take time away from his position, like a suspension. White said he wouldn’t consider it.

“What should the repercussions be? You tell me,” White said. “I take 30 days off? How does that hurt me? I told you guys when we were going through COVID, COVID could last 10 years. I could have sat it out. It’s much like COVID, actually. Me leaving hurts the company, hurts my employees, hurts the fighters.”

He also said, “It doesn’t hurt me. I could have left in 2016. I don’t know, do I need to reflect? No, I don’t need to reflect. The next morning when I woke up … I’ve been against this. I’ve owned this. I’m telling you that I was wrong.”

Dana White Power Slap League TV Debut Delayed After Incident With Wife

The latest controversy involving Dana White has caused a delay in his new business venture. UFC’s president was caught in a viral firestorm after a video of White and his wife surfaced. In the clip, the pair looked like they were arguing in the VIP section of a nightclub. During the spat, White’s wife slapped him. He immediately slapped her back.

Now, it’s reported that the premiere of White’s Power Slap League has been pushed back by a week. Power Slap: Road to the Title was initially slated for a televised debut on January 11, but ESPN reports it will now air on January 18.

White’s Power Slap League featured two contenders slapping one another as hard as they could for three rounds. Further, TBS has not issued any formal statements about the controversy.

Meanwhile, on Monday (January 2), White spoke with TMZ about the violent incident with his wife.

“You’ve heard me say over the years, ‘There is never, ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman,’ and now here I am on TMZ talking about it,” he said. Despite the pushback, White’s wife also apologized for their behavior.

“I’m literally making no excuses for this thing at all,” he also stated. “It’s never happened before. It’s the first time it’s ever happened. People are going to say what they’re going to say, and it is what it is. Whatever people say is deserved. I deserve it.”

Additionally, Comedian D.L. Hughley has publicly criticized the media’s coverage of White’s recent controversy. The UFC president apologized, but D.L. Hughley doesn’t think that’s enough for Dana White. We previously reported on White’s controversy after he was filmed in a nightclub with his wife. The two were in the throw of an argument when she slapped White, and he, in turn, hit her back. After going viral, White and his wife emerged with an apology, but Hughley believes the media would have treated the situation differently had this been a Black man.

“’What can BROWN do for you?’ Apparently not a damn thing!” Hughley wrote. His play on the word “brown” was a nod to White’s last name as well as Chris Brown, Bobby Brown, and Antonio Brown. All three men have been tied to domestic violence scandals. “If that had been a brotha, it’d be NONSTOP coverage.”

Hughley added that the media would be “dredging up a playground fight from the 3rd grade, scouring old tweets, you name it.”

“Dana White ‘s ENTIRE LIFE is immersed in brutal , physical violence,” the comedy legend continued. “He’s amassed a fortune from it. Where are the salacious headlines?? Where’s the pressure?? Ohhhhh, he apologized🙄 #WhitePrivilege (PUN INTENDED) scores a 1st round knockout yet again.”

In Hughley’s comment section, several of his famous peers co-signed the message.

Things got a tad heated for Dana White and his wife Anne while they were out at a nightclub recently. The UFC president was seen in a video arguing with his wife in a VIP section before Anne slapped him in the face. Quickly, White returned the strike with one of his own ahead of the couple being pulled apart.

The video quickly circulated on social media, and the Whites returned with statements about the controversy. “You’ve heard me say over the years, ‘There is never, ever an excuse for a guy to put his hands on a woman,’” White told TMZ. “And now here I am on TMZ talking about it.”

“My wife and I have been married for almost 30 years.” He added, “We’ve known each other since we were 12 years old. We’ve obviously been through some sh*t together, we’ve got three kids.”

White called the situation “horrible,” adding that he’s “embarrassed” by it all. He also stated he isn’t trying to make excuses for the incident. “It’s never happened before. It’s the first time it’s ever happened.”

“But it’s also one of those situations that right now we’re more concerned about our kids,” he continued. “We have three kids, and obviously, since the video popped up, we’ve shown the kids the video, and we’re more focused on our family right now.”

Anne White also spoke with TMZ and confirmed that this isn’t how she and her husband settle conflicts.

On the eve of 2023, UFC chairman Dana White and his wife Anne White were spotted in a drunken fight in Cabo San Lucas, and the entire altercation was caught on video.

Rumor has it that White and his wife’s scuffle began over accusations that he slept with his wife’s sister.

Dana White Reveals How ESPN Cocaine Scandal Led To UFC Deal

Dana White has become a very rich man thanks to the UFC. Of course, this would not be possible without some impeccable dealmaking. In order for your league to make money, you need television rights, and the UFC has those. For instance, UFC is currently in a broadcasting deal with ESPN.

Interestingly enough, the ESPN deal wasn’t ever supposed to go through. This is because in 2017, ESPN’s President John Skipper was very much against the UFC as a whole. However, as White told Grant Cardone in a recent interview, Skipper ultimately stepped down from the network due to a cocaine problem.

Dana White Tells All

“You ever hear of John Skipper?” White began. “John Skipper ran ESPN. Now, I think he runs DAZN. Runs ESPN, beloved, looks like the squarest dude on the planet. Older guy. Hates UFC. Hates it. Hates UFC. Big soccer guy. For whatever reason, people like different things. And I’m not s***ing on John Skipper. But this is a fact, this happened and this is a true story.”

White went on to note that the person who replaced Skipper was a very good friend of his. This ultimately allowed ESPN and the UFC to negotiate in good faith. Subsequently, both sides agreed to a five-year deal worth a whopping $1.5 billion.

“Who do they make president?” White asked. “Jimmy Pitaro, who ran Yahoo! Sports for years. I’ve known him a long time. He’s a great dude, and he loves the UFC. Now you got him, you got a guy named Kevin Mayer, who is really close to [Endeavor CEO] Ari [Emanuel], and we ended up doing the ESPN deal when our deal was up.”

This is certainly an interesting story, and a huge what-if for the league. Originally, the UFC had been partnered up with Fox, although it’s clear that ESPN is the better option when it comes to sports coverage.

Dana White Goes Scorched Earth On Soccer

Dana White is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the entire sports entertainment world. Of course, he is the President of the UFC, which is one of the biggest sports leagues in the world. However, he doesn’t seem to have much respect for other sports.

For instance, White was recently on a podcast where he was asked about the World Cup. This led to a pretty intense answer in which he besmirched the good name of soccer. Overall, he doesn’t seem to get the intricacies of the game and has a very American view of it all.

Dana White Hates Soccer

As you will read, White just feels like the game lacks a lot of talent. He spoke about just how large the net is, as well as the lack of goals. Additionally, he mentioned the fact that many three-year-olds play the sport.

“Soccer? Whole other ball game. Can’t stand soccer, I think that it’s the least talented sport on earth,” White said. “There’s a reason three year olds can play soccer ok? You run around and kick a ball.

“When you’re playing a game where the net is this big right, and the score is 3-1, are you s**ting me right now? Do you know how untalented you have to be to score three points when the net is this big?”

This is one of those takes that you just have to shake your head at and move on. Overall, White cannot be convinced that soccer is interesting, and trying to do so is a fool’s errand. Either way, over here, he will continue to watch the World Cup closely.
