DaBaby x Megan Thee Stallion

DaBaby has sparked more controversy by claiming that he slept with Megan Thee Stallion before the alleged shooting incident with Tory Lanez. DaBaby Claims He Had Sex With Megan Thee Stallion The Day Before Tory Lanez Allegedly Shot Her On His New Album

You’d be forgiven for not knowing DaBaby had an album coming out this week. Ever since his debacle at Rolling Loud Miami in 2021, he’s dropped in public esteem, losing endorsement deals and watching his ticket sales plummet. The fact that it’s mostly his own fault seems lost on him because even if he’s down horrible, he has to have known that his latest stunt to get attention would backfire in his face.

On the new album, Baby On Baby 2, DaBaby claims to have had sex with Megan Thee Stallion the day before she was allegedly shot by Tory Lanez after a Hollywood party. In the song “Boogieman,” he rhymes: “You play with me, that shit was childish / The day before she said that Tory Lanez shot her, I was fucking on Megan Thee Stallion / Waited say that shit on my next album / Hit it the day before too, but I kept it player, I ain’t say nothing bout it / Had her pretty-boy boyfriend tweeting me, ready to die ’bout the bitch like a coward.”

Nah, fam. That is an atrocious look. As a wise person once said: “Dig deep and think about the messiest bitch you know… it’s a man ain’t it?”

Now, DaBaby is being utterly ransacked on Twitter by fans rightly pointing out that the antics not only make him look bad but that they still won’t actually generate the streams he needs to bounce back after refusing to own up to his own mistakes. Just a disaster for him no matter how you slice it (of course, there are random guys tweeting messages supporting him, but let’s be serious here). Below is just a sampling of the smoke DaBaby’s latest shenanigans have incurred.

Megan Thee Stallion is a Warner Music artist. Uproxx is an independent subsidiary of Warner Music Group.

DaBaby Performs Infront Of A Disengaged Crowd; Could This Be The End Of DaBaby’s Career?

DaBaby

It seems like these days DaBaby isn’t getting the recognition he used to when it comes to his music. While he performed at a show, some people in the crowd looked uninterested with their chairs turned the other way. It appears it did not take long for DaBaby’s career to come and then pass.  Recently, […]

DaBaby Appears To Be Unfazed After New Orleans Show Cancellation

DaBaby Targets Those Who Attempted to "Assassinate" His Career On Freestyle Over WizKid's "Essence"

DaBaby recently canceled his show in New Orleans, apparently due to low ticket sales. Reports stated that less than 500 tickets were sold for the 14,000 seat venue. Despite this, DaBaby seems unfazed by the show cancellation.

The Blame It On Baby artist recently posted a gif of himself on Twitter where he is looking around before smirking and taking a sip of a drink.

New Orleans rapper 7th Ward Shorty told Nola.com that he believes the low ticket sales were due to the EDM group Showtek being booked to entice college kids who were attending this weekends LSU vs. Florida State game.

NOLA.com had reported that Ticketmaster’s seating chart showed that less than 500 tickets had been sold for the concert. While Ticketmaster says that the show is canceled, DaBaby’s promoters are saying that the show has been postponed. They have even gone to say that the show wasn’t even canceled due to low ticket sales.

Promoter Greg Pulver said that the shows cancellation was due to “a number of business reasons,” and that  DaBaby’s team “decided to postpone and that was in our best interest.”

Andrew Lieber, the CEO of the booking agency that represents DaBaby, further defended the artist, claiming that the promoter was in breach of contract . “DaBaby’s New Orleans show was pulled by the artist’s team due to the promoter being in breach of contract. DaBaby will be back in New Orleans very soon to make it up to his fans.”

DaBaby

DaBaby has not been able to catch a break. Recently, the Charlotte rapper canceled his New Orleans concert due to extremely low ticket sales. DaBaby’s New Orleans Show Was Reportedly Canceled Due To Low Ticket Sales

DaBaby has given fans many reasons to take a step back from him — expressing support for Trump, making many homophobic comments, getting into violent fights with his own fans, and more. All or some of this may or may not have led to the cancelation of the rapper’s show at the Smoothie King Arena in New Orleans on Friday.

On Tuesday, the Ticketmaster listing for the event was deactivated. It now reads, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.” Before the page was taken down, it was reported by Nola.com that fewer than 500 tickets had been purchased; the capacity of the arena is 14,000 concertgoers. The tickets were as low as $35. As of right now, he has two shows scheduled in the future — one in Paris and one in Houston, Texas.

This isn’t the first time DaBaby has faced consequences for his behavior. The rapper was set to debut his own Burger King meal collaboration, but last month he revealed during a visit to Full Send Podcast that the fast food powerhouse halted the effort after his homophobic comments at Rolling Loud Miami 2021. “I shot a commercial for it and everything,” he told the Kyle Forgeard Full Send co-hosts. It was going to be called the “Jonathan Kirk Meal.”
