Ne-Yo and his ex-wife Crystal Renay finally decided to go their separate ways after four years of marriage in 2022, after she publicly accused him of cheating on her with various women. Renay described the relationship as “irretrievably broken with no hope of reconciliation.” They went on to finalize the divorce at the beginning of 2023, agreeing to share joint custody of their three children. They were spotted out together last summer, sparking speculation that the two were an item once again. According to Renay, however, there’s zero chance of them ever getting back together.

“There are no chances,” she told TMZ at the time. “But we’re moving on to better lives… Certain things can’t be forgiven, but God will forgive, and one day so will I.” While it remains unclear whether or not she’s been able to forgive Ne-Yo, it looks like Renay may be giving someone else a shot. Recently, she was spotted out at a club alongside Maino, resulting in dating rumors.

In a new photo circulating online, the two of them are seen in good spirits as they leave the club, Maino’s hand resting on Renay’s waist. Fans are here for the rumored romance, though it’s yet to be confirmed by either party. Some think that Maino’s body language is a sure sign that things are heating up between him and the mother of three. “Good for her,” one Instagram user says in The Neighborhood Talk‘s comments section. Another says, “Andddd ? She’s living her best life.”

According to sources, their interaction was strictly professional and amicable. They both attended the opening of their restaurant chain’s new location as co-owners, fulfilling their contractual obligations. It is clarified that Ne-Yo and Crystal are currently dating other people while successfully co-parenting their three children.

Crystal divorced Ne-Yo last year following his involvement with another woman, which resulted in the birth of a child. The singer has a predetermined number of appearances to make for their shared restaurant chain, Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles. Crystal, on the other hand, actively participates in the day-to-day operations. This explains their joint presence at the grand opening in midtown Atlanta. Ne-Yo Agrees to Child Support, Alimony, and $1.6M Payment in Divorce Settlement

Ne-Yo is officially a single man. The “Closer” singer’s divorce from his ex-wife Crystal Renay is finalized.

According to TMZ, Ne-Yo will keep three of the couple’s four homes and a Bentley. He will provide a ton of cash to Renay in the split.

In the split, Renay will receive one of their four Georgia homes, a $1.6 million lump sum balance, and $20,000 in moving expenses.

Ne-Yo will keep the 2022 Bentley Bentayga but will cut a check for $150,000, so Renay can purchase a new car. Beyond that, Ne-Yo will also pay $12,000 a month in child support covering the school expenses for their three children. Lastly, Ne-Yo will pay $5,000 in alimony for the next three years.

The two will have joint custody and will not have new romantic partners around the children unless they are engaged or married.

Ne-Yo’s Soon-To-Be Ex Wife Speaks Out, Says no Chance of Reconciliation

Ne-Yo’s marriage appears to be close to officially over. After accusing the “So Sick” singer of cheating last month and filing for divorce, his soon-to-be ex wife, Crystal Renay, briefly addressed the situation, saying that the two will not be getting back together.

Video footage shows a TMZ reporter approaching Renay as she exits LAX and asking her “what are the chances that you and Ne-Yo can work it out?”

She quickly responds, “there are no chances. God is good.”

The reporter continues to press, asking her if she is sure and she responds that “we’re moving on to better lives” and adding that “certain things can’t be forgiven, but God will forgive and so will I.”

When asked if she was going to start dating again, Renay shrugs and says “only God knows.”

Renay filed for divorce after claiming that Ne-Yo fathered a child with another woman. Paperwork filed in Atlanta cites that the couple’s marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.” Renay and Ne-Yo have three children of their own: Isabella Rose, 14-months, Roman-Alexander Raj, 4 years, and Shaffer Chimere Jr., 6 years.

While some might find the reporter’s questions odd, it would not be the first time the couple has filed for divorce only to reconcile later. After getting married in 2016, Renay filed for divorce in 2020, but withdrew the filing. They then had a “second wedding” celebration in 2022.

So far there has been no word on the mystery woman or baby that Ne-Yo allegedly fathered.

Ne-Yo’s wife, Crystal Renay Smith, is putting an end to their marriage.

Smith filed for divorce from R&B singer/songwriter Ne-Yo, born Shaffer Smith, earlier this week saying their marriage is broken with no hope for reconciliation.

Crystal listed the date of their separation as “on or about July 22, 2022” in the filing and claimed they’ve “continuously lived in a bona fide state of separation.” Adding, they are “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.”

Smith also noted while her and the “Sexy Love” singer were together, he fathered a child with another woman, and “committed the act of adultery.”

A few days before the filing went public, Crystal shared an emotional message on social media airing out the 3x GRAMMY winner. 

She accused the 42-year-old of cheating on her with “numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected,” asking the public to stop sending her videos and information about his alleged cheating, declaring his actions are “no longer my concern.”

Ne-Yo responded on social media shortly after asking the public to respect their privacy while they handle things offline for the sake of their children. 

“For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors. Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time.”

The news comes just a few months after the couple renewed their vows in Las Vegas in April. Crystal, 36, is asking for primary physical custody of their three kids, joint legal custody, child support and alimony.  Renay-Smith previously filed for divorce in 2020 but ended up withdrawing her petition.

Ne-Yo’s wife, Crystal Renay, has filed for divorce. The decision comes days after blasting the “So Sick” singer for constant cheating. According to TMZ, Crystal Renay notes Ne-Yo has fathered a child with another woman.

The two got married in February 2016. The newly filed divorce documents stated the marriage is “irretrievably broken with no hope for reconciliation.”

The date of separation is July 22, and Crystal states she has taken care of the three children they share since that date. In addition to primary physical custody and joint legal custody, Crystal seeks child support and alimony.

Earlier this week, Renay wrote about her husband’s infidelities on Instagram and revealed she is moving on.

“8 years. 8 years of lies and deception,” Renay wrote. “8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and my husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them!”

She added, “To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is a understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something it isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and health and my respect.”

Renay acknowledged gaining three beautiful children but asked for everyone to no longer send videos or information that highlights Ne-Yo’s cheating. Renay also states she is not a victim and that what the singer does is “no longer my concern.”
