Jay-Z’s Former Mistress Posts Chilling Message Amidst Assault Allegations

Jay-Z is in the hot seat. The rapper has been accused of raping a teenage girl at a 2000 after party alongside disgraced mogul Diddy. Jay has denied these allegations. The rapper confirmed that he plans to fight the lawsuit filed against him. That has not stopped the public from giving their opinion on the matter. Some have already deemed Hov guilty. The rapper’s peers and business associates, on the other hand, have expressed doubt about his guilt. Hov’s former mistress, Carmen Bryan, took a more ominous approach on Wednesday.

Carmen Bryan, who had a decade long affair with Hov, took to Instagram. She did not mention the icon by name. But she did suggest that truth was not being properly served. “These days,” she wrote. “People don’t defend what is right, they defend who they like.” The implication, of course, being that people who are well-connected are sticking up for Jay-Z’s reputation. Bryan rubbed additional salt in the wound with her closing statement: “And that’s why we call you a groupie.” Once more, no names are mentioned. That said, it doesn’t take much to tie her comments to the Hov controversy.

The icing on this unnerving post a screenshot of lyrics. Carmen Bryan chose to isolate a section of the 2010 song “Monster.” The song features a verse from Jay-Z, in which he makes reference to raping and pillaging as a means of showing his monstrous tendencies. “Kill a block, I murder the avenues, I rape and pillage your village, women and children.” Hov spits. This was very intentional on the part of Bryan, who’s been open about her feelings about Jay-Z. She detailed her nine year affair with the rapper in her memoir It’s No Secret: From Nas to Jay-Z, From Seduction to Scandal, A Hip-Hop Helen of Troy Tells All.

Carmen Bryan claims that she was pregnant with Jay-Z’s child, but suffered a miscarriage. She detailed this harrowing experience during a 2017 interview with Vlad TV. “I believe I was three months, it was the first trimester,” she explained. “It wasn’t like ‘Oh we are going to have this baby.’” Bryan then told Jay-Z about the pregnancy after the miscarriage occurred.

Jay-Z Vs. Tony Buzbee: A Breakdown Of Rape Allegations, Lawsuit & More

Jay-Z has ascended to the top of hip-hop and broke barriers, opening the doors for those who’ve followed him and eventually, earning the title of hip-hop’s first official billionaire. For the most part, he’s managed to maintain a relatively near and tidy image. He’s gone on to achieve things that most wouldn’t have imagined were possible within a lifetime.

However, Hov hasn’t gone through his career without criticism or backlash. The latest allegations against him are appalling, for lack of better terms. A newly amended lawsuit against Diddy accuses the 55-year-old Brooklyn native of raping a 13-year-old girl in 2000. The lawsuit, filed by Tony Buzbee, claims that she was drugged at a VMA afterparty when she was hardly a teenager and woke up to being sexually assaulted by Diddy and Jay-Z. Though his name was initially redacted as “Celebrity A” in the initial filing, the recent amendment has spotlighted Jay-Z in unflattering ways. The rapper has since denied all of the claims against him.

Background

Though the lawsuit initially focused on Diddy’s alleged wrongdoings, the amended file lists Shawn “Jay-Z” Carter as a defendant. It states that around September 7th, 2000, a friend of the then 13-year-old Plaintiff drove her to Radio City Music Hall in New York City where MTV hosted their annual Music Video Awards. Doe said she arrived at the venue where crowds surrounded artists and celebrities until the show began. At that point, she remained outside and watched the ceremony from a jumbotron. The lawsuit claims she was determined to make her way into the award show or an afterparty and approached limousine drivers parked outside of the venue in an attempt to talk her way in.

Eventually, Doe spoke to a limousine driver who she claims worked for Diddy. The driver reportedly told her that the Bad Boy founder “liked younger girls” and said she “fit what Diddy was looking for.” The lawsuit said the driver took her to the afterparty after chauffeuring Combs and others to the event which was located at a “large white residence with a gated U-shaped driveway.” Doe said she signed an NDA upon her arrival, though she never received a copy.

The Afterparty Accusations Against Jay-Z & Diddy

Once entering the party, she recognized several celebrities she wanted to see at the award shows. She said some she met while waitstaff walked around the room with trays of drinks. Doe added that there she witnessed marijuana and cocaine being used openly. Eventually, she said she accepted a drink described as a “reddish-yellow mixture that tasted like orange juice, cranberry juice, and something bitter.” The suit claims she felt “woozy and lightheaded” after taking a few sips and needed to lie down.

The Plaintiff said that she entered an empty room with a single bed, though she didn’t lock the door. She claims Diddy, Jay-Z, and an unnamed female celebrity, listed as Celebrity B, entered the room with Diddy allegedly grabbing her and screaming, “You are ready to party!” She claims Diddy threw her against a wall, and once she stood up, he threw her onto the bed before Jay-Z allegedly began undressing her while she became disoriented. The lawsuit claims that Jay-Z raped her while Celebrity B watched. Diddy allegedly attempted to force her to perform fellatio on him but she punched him and he stopped.

Buzbee claims that Jay-Z and Diddy violated the New York City Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act by committing a “crime of violence motivated by gender.” As a result, Doe suffered from “physical injuries, emotional distress, psychological harm, anxiety, humiliation, physical and emotional pain and suffering, family and social disruption, and other harm.” She seeks an unspecified amount that will be determined in court.

Jay-Z Responds

Within minutes of the reports emerging, Jay-Z issued a rare statement calling out Buzbee and referred to the lawsuit as a “blackmail attempt.” Jay suggested that the “demand letter” was an attempt to make him settle due to the public scrutiny. “These allegations are so heinous that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” he wrote. Describing Buzbee as a “deplorable human,” Jay said the attorney “seems to have a pattern of these type of theatrics.” “You claim to be a marine?! Marines are known for their valor, you have neither honor nor dignity.”

“My only heartbreak is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit our children down, one of whom is at the age where her friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims, and explain the cruelty and greed of people. I mourn yet another loss of innocence.”

Jay offered his condolences to the “true victims” in the world before issuing some serious words to Buzbee. “I’m a young man who made it out of the project of Brooklyn,” adding that from where he’s from, they “don’t play these types of games.” “We have very strict codes and honor. We protect children, you seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable,” he wrote. “I look forward to showing you just how different I am.”

The Anonymous Lawsuit

On November 18th, law firm Quinn Emanuel, who has represented Jay-Z in the past, filed a lawsuit against Buzbee for extortion “based on Buzbee’s threats of publicizing false information for financial gain.” At the time, the lawsuit was filed on behalf of a “John Doe.” Buzbee later issued a message on his Instagram page where he stated that he would not “allow the powerful and their high-dollar lawyers to intimidate or silence sexual assault survivors.”

“It has been reported that a lawsuit has been filed against my firm claiming extortion. The lawyers that filed it also immediately called TMZ in an apparent effort to silence those who allege sexual assault,” it reads. “The case filed against my firm is not only without legal merit, it is laughable. Here is why: On behalf of two clients who allege sexual assault, we sent a standard demand letter to a New York lawyer that we know represents an alleged perpetrator and potential defendant. The letters were sent seeking a confidential mediation in lieu of filing a lawsuit. No amount of money was included in the demand letters. No threats were made. The demand letters sent are no different than the ones routinely sent by lawyers across the country in all types of cases.”

The amended lawsuit now includes claims that Jay-Z was the John Doe, stating, “Upon present information and belief, Jay-Z responded to said letter by not only filing an utterly frivolous lawsuit, but by also orchestrating a conspiracy of harassment, bullying and intimidation against Plaintiff’s lawyers, their families, employees, and former associates in an attempt to silence Plaintiff from naming Jay-Z herein. This effort was meant to scare Plaintiff and to discredit her counsel.”

Buzbee Fires Back At Jay-Z

The disrespect toward Buzbee’s marine background evidently hit a sore spot, leading the attorney to fire back via Instagram. Accompanied by a photo of his time in the marine, he accused Jay-Z and his team of a “coordinated and aggressive effort that has included harassing my kids, contacting my clients and former clients to encourage them to sue me, contacting my colleagues or former employees asking if I’ve “abused” them, showing up at my current employees’ homes to harass them, filing frivolous cases against me and my law firm, defaming me with outrageous assertions to anyone who will listen, and having mysterious people follow me and my family, I’m still THAT guy.” He added, “Sunlight is the best disinfectant and I am quite certain the sun is coming.”

In a subsequent tweet, he added, “What [Jay-Z] fails to say in his recent statement is my firm sent his lawyer a demand letter on behalf of an alleged victim and that victim never demanded a penny from him. Instead, she only sought a confidential mediation. Since I sent the letter on her behalf, Mr. Carter has not only sued me, but he has tried to bully and harass me and this plaintiff. His conduct has had the opposite impact. She is emboldened. I’m very proud of her resolve.”

Jay-Z’s Attorneys Want Plaintiff To Identify Herself

Following Buzbee’s social media posts, Jay-Z’s attorneys fired back in court where they, not only took issue with the Instagram and X/Twitter claims but also demanded that the Plaintiff reveal her identity. “Plaintiff’s Amended Complaint should be dismissed, and the motion to proceed anonymously denied as moot. In the alternative, the Court should require Plaintiff to identify herself so that Mr. Carter can adequately defend himself against these baseless and spurious allegations,” the filing reads. Moreover, Jay-Z’s attorneys accused Buzbee of fueling this lawsuit through a personal agenda, rather than trying to bring justice to the alleged accuser.

“Defendant Shawn Carter has built an impeccable reputation. He has never been accused of, let alone engaged in, any sexual misconduct. Until today, when Plaintiff—in an Amended Complaint filed by Attorney Anthony Buzbee—has leveled baseless allegations and accused Mr. Carter of despicable acts while hiding behind the pseudonym ‘Jane Doe.’ These claims are not about justice for victims. Nor are they about giving victims of sexual violence a voice. Instead, they are merely the next chapter in Attorney Buzbee’s sprawling extortion saga—a saga whose aim is base and measured in dollars. Buzbee has devoted himself to the business of extracting large settlements from celebrities, high-net-worth individuals, and businesses with any public ties to Sean Combs Combs (a/k/a “P. Diddy,” a/k/a “Puff Daddy,” a/k/a“Diddy,” a/k/a “PD,” and a/k/a “Love”) following his indictment for sex crimes in September 2024.”

A Letter Requesting A Dismissal

Shortly after demanding to unmask the accuser, Alex Spiro, Jay-Z’s attorney, wrote a letter to Judge Analisa Torres requesting that the case be dismissed entirely. Spiro echoed similar sentiments in the recent court filing responding to the lawsuit in the letter. “Due to the highly sensitive nature of this matter and the intense media scrutiny it has generated, we respectfully request to be heard on an expedited basis. For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Carter is entirely innocent. This is a shakedown. He is not mentioned, referenced, or implicated in any way in the criminal investigation of Mr. Combs. He is neither a target nor a person of interest in that investigation,” the letter reads. The letter also accuses Jane Doe and Buzbee of trying to use the judicial process to “generate unwarranted media attention and pressure Mr. Carter into a settlement.”

Buzbee Gets Shakespearean On Hov

The public’s perception of Buzbee undoubtedly became impacted by Jay-Z’s statement and legal filings. However, as media outlets continued to highlight Jay-Z’s defiant press release, Buzbee, once again, issued a statement bashing claims that he tried to “extort and blackmail” the rapper. Buzbee denied that he made any threats but instead, sent a “standard demand letter seeking a mediation on behalf of a woman who alleges Jay-Z sexually assaulted her as a minor.” While Jay-Z targeted Buzbee in his statement, along with his court filing, the attorney said that his client preferred “to attempt resolution short of filing a lawsuit.”

“What you are seeing played out now is a coordinated and desperate effort to focus the public’s attention on me personally to avoid attention on the allegations being made by my clients. This effort has included harassing my family and colleagues and even offering former clients money to sue me—which is illegal,” the tweet continues. “When an alleged perpetrator behaves in this manner, wildly asserting that a basic demand letter is “extortion,” and aggressively using the media to attack the opposing lawyer while at the same time ignoring the allegations being made by the alleged victim, it reminds me of a famous line from Shakespeare: ‘The lady doth protest too much, methinks.’”

Coercion Claims

Alex Spiro, Jay-Z’s attorney, told the judge they have reason to believe that Buzbee could be pressuring clients to create false accusations, per TMZ. In a declaration filed to the court, Spiro said that one of his associates received a lead from a woman who claimed that she once contacted Buzbee’s firm for representation in court over sexual trafficking and abuse claims. What’s interesting about these claims is that she saw Buzbee’s call out to anyone who may have been an alleged victim of Diddy, though she reportedly claimed her accusations had nothing to do with the mogul. Still, she said Buzbee asked her, “At what point did you meet Diddy?”

According to the claim, the woman said she felt “forced to lie.” When she refused, Buzbee’s firm reportedly dropped her as a client. Furthermore, Spiro said that the woman reached out to his firm because Buzbee’s conduct “discredits those who are legitimate victims,” and her anonymity was due to her fear of retaliation.

Buzbee Calls It “Ridiculous”

“This is so ridiculous. If someone calls our intake and has a viable case that we believe has merit and we can pursue we will pursue it. We are currently pursuing hundreds of cases against individuals other than PDiddy. What we won’t do is pursue a case that we don’t believe has merit,” Buzbee told TMZ in response. “I can’t speak to what she told the intake folks to even tell you what this woman claimed if and when she called,” he continued, adding, “We certainly don’t need to ‘pressure’ anyone to pursue a case.”

“Jay-Z’s team is desperate and seemingly out of control,” he added in a statement to Deadline. “Their investigators have recently been caught on tape offering current clients of our firm one thousand dollars to sue our firm. This conduct is reprehensible and illegal. There will be consequences coming soon.”

Alleged Recorded Audio

Doubling down on his statements to Deadline, Buzbee, once again, shared some information through his social media channels surrounding Jay-Z and Spiro’s alleged conduct. Buzbee said he has recorded phone calls with “investigators” from New York who contacted current and former clients with promises of getting them paid. Sharing alleged transcripts from a call, he revealed that they said: “anyone Googling Buzbee and his company — his practice — are going into litigation.” Furthermore, they allegedly said that they’re putting together “this thing” for a company they work for, adding that “We gave this kid 1,000 bucks to start yesterday just to get him on the right path,” and blatantly stating that “At the end of the day, this is going to go through the courts, Buzbee is getting sued.” In short, Buzbee said, “These guys are on tape offering to pay clients to sue our law firm. That’s a crime.”

Disgruntled Client Sues Buzbee

There have been plenty of questions arising from Buzbee’s amended lawsuit, along with the claims issued on Jay-Z’s behalf. However, there’s at least one former client of Buzbee who claims that there might be merit to Hov and Spiro’s claims. Per TMZ, Matthew Ray Thompson Jr. filed a federal lawsuit claiming that Buzbee withheld a large amount of his settlement money. Worse, he says that Buzbee loaned him his own funds with high interest.

Thompson Jr. claimed that he retained Buzbee, who filed a lawsuit on his behalf in November 2023, after a work-related injury. While pending trial, he received automatic payments from his employer but those payments were redirected to Buzbee. Thompson claimed that these funds were loaned to him from Buzbee, who allegedly held more than 60% of the money while tacking on interest. Moreover, Thompson claims other clients have dealt with similar tactics by Buzbee’s firm. “Buzbee has become rich by milking settlements with threats of negative attention from people who rely on their public reputations for livelihood,” the suit reads.

Buzbee responded to Thompson Jr, claiming that the allegations were false. “Mr. Thompson was solicited and paid to bring this case. It has no merit. The lawyers who brought it would have seen that had they bothered to do any due diligence at all,” he said. “The bottom line is that the investigators who manufactured this case and the lawyers who filed it were reckless and foolish. The case is junk and the effort behind it will be exposed.”

He added, “Jay-Z’s investigators contacted more than forty former clients they apparently found on Venmo. They each were offered $1000 to sue me. We have the investigators caught on tape admitting they gave this ‘client’ money to bring this case. We will be seeking state bar action against the lawyers involved because such conduct is a state law crime and also violates the ethical rules that govern lawyers. The case itself is frivolous and will be dismissed as such.”

Will This Impact Jay-Z’s Partnership With The NFL?

Some have questioned how these allegations should impact Jay-Z’s businesses. However, AP reports that the rape allegation against Jay-Z won’t impact his deal with the league. Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed that the league’s relationship with Jay-Z, whose company Roc Nation has produced Super Bowl halftime shows, remains unchanged despite ongoing litigation.

The NFL’s collaboration with Roc Nation began in 2019 and recently expanded. Kendrick Lamar is set to headline the upcoming Super Bowl halftime show in New Orleans, with Roc Nation co-producing. Additionally, Beyoncé, Jay-Z’s wife, will perform at the Ravens-Texans game on Christmas. Goodell praised Roc Nation’s contributions to league events and social justice initiatives.

Stephen A Smith Breaks Silence On Jay-Z Sexual Assault Allegations

Stephen A Smith has got takes. He gives takes for a living, in fact. Sports may be his forte, but the famous analyst has also weighed in on recent hip hop scandals. Smith has got lots to say about the likes of Diddy and Drake. Jay-Z has been accused of sexually assaulting a minor in a new lawsuit, so it only seems natural that the analyst weigh in on this matter as well. Stephen A Smith was critical of Diddy and Drake, however. In the case of Jay-Z, the media personality believes that foul play is involved.

Smith made it clear from the jump that he did not believe the allegations against Jay-Z. “I cannot believe for one second,” he explained. “That he would ever be associated with an allegation like this.” Stephen A Smith went on to address the inevitable criticisms that his stance would elicit from fans. He claimed that many would be frustrated by the fact that he was critical of Diddy’s assault allegations, but not those for Jay-Z. The difference? Well, in Smith’s case, it was familiarity. He claimed to have only spoken to Diddy a few times throughout his life. Jay-Z, meanwhile, is someone he’s known for two and a half decades.

Stephen A Smith Vouched For Jay-Z’s Character As A Friend

“I don’t believe it,” Stephen A Smith asserted. He admitted that he couldn’t go much further in terms of a stance, since he was not present the night the alleged assault took place. Still, the analyst stated that he was not convinced by the allegations that have been put forth. Stephen A Smith claimed that he not only knew Jay-Z, but loved him. He also claimed that the rapper would not be “capable of such a thing” in his estimation. “That’s love right there,” he explained. “Because of what you know about a person. Based on your personal interactions.”

Stephen A Smith returned to the Diddy comparisons. Jay-Z was accused of assaulting a teenager in the company of Diddy at the 2000 VMAs after party. The analyst does not, however, align Hov with the Bad Boy mogul. “This ain’t P. Diddy,” Smith asserted. “Homeland Security didn’t raid Jay-Z’s home. He was not charged with multiple felony accounts.” Stephen A Smith is the latest celebrity to attempt to draw a line between the Diddy allegations and the lone allegation made against Jay-Z. He does, however, make a decent argument regarding the differences between them.

Young Thug Requests Amendment To Probation Terms In Atlanta

Young Thug misses his hometown. The rapper may have been a free man after what looked like a very dire legal situation, but he wants to visit Atlanta. That’s what his lawyers stated on December 10. Legal reps for the rapper filed a motion that would allow him to visit loved ones. A motion that seeks to roll back the decade long ban that was placed on Young Thug when he was initially released.

Young Thug’s legal team claimed the rapper’s family lives in Atlanta. As such, he should be allowed to visit them. “Mr. Williams has family in the metro Atlanta area, specifically in the Atlanta, Georgia area,” the motion read. “Respectfully requests the ability to reside/visit at times, in his home located in the city in the attached, under seal, document.” Thugger’s attorneys felt it was justifiable for the rapper to want to visit his loved ones. Especially during the holidays. “[Mr. Williams wants to] have family gatherings. For holidays and other lawful reasons with his family, friends, and business associates,” the statement read. “Which is a home already owned by Mr. Williams.”

Young Thug Wants To Visit His Family In Atlanta

Young Thug’s probation officer did not take issue with this motion. The rapper has clearly been angling for an easier probation since his release. He appeared on a FaceTime call during an interview with one of his lawyers, Keith Adams, last week. The rapper was asked how he felt about being a free man. He took a predictably appreciative stance, especially with regard to the fans. “It kept me going,” he admitted. Thug also took time out to request that his probation be loosened up. “Get me off the probation,” he asked his lawyer, when questioned on what he’d like to happen next.

Young Thug’s lawyers have asked for a hearing to consider the probation amendment. It’s unclear when a judge will decided on the proposed amendment. In the meantime, though, the rapper will continue to work on new music. He won’t be able to rap about gang-affiliated content, but Young Thug can still rap alongside some of the biggest artists in the world. Artists who made it very clear that they were thrilled to see him released from prison.

Beyonce Is Allegedly “Supporting” Jay-Z Amidst Assault Accusations

Jay-Z has been a talking point for all the wrong reasons this week. The legendary rapper was accused of raping a teenager with Diddy at a 2000 VMAs afterparty. Hov has denied these allegations outright, and countersued his accuser, but the negative press continues to accumulate. Some fans have questioned whether Jay-Z’s controversies will cause damage to his marriage with Beyonce. Sources reportedly close to the couple, however, claim that there is nothing to worry about.

Page Six spoke to two people who are allegedly part of the Carters’ inner circle. One of them claimed Queen Bey was committed to her marriage with Jay-Z. “[Beyonce] has no intention of leaving Jay-Z,” they asserted. “She wholeheartedly believes him, [and is] supporting him throughout.” The anonymous source pointed to the fact that Jay-Z accompanied Beyonce and their daughter Blue Ivy Carter to a film premiere on December 9. Beyonce and Blue Ivy voice characters in Mufasa: The Lion King, and the trio were the image of unity on the red carpet.

Sources Claim Beyonce Is “Committed” To Her Marriage

The second source told Page Six that Beyonce is hell bent on restoring Jay-Z’s reputation following the rape allegation. “[The Carters are] a team,” they insisted. “And will face this situation together.” Beyonce has yet to issue a public statement regarding the allegations. That said, the musical icon has refrained from discussing her marriage publicly for the past decade. She has let her music, particularly 2016’s Lemonade, do the talking instead. The same cannot be said for Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles. The celebrity relative courted controversy on Monday when she liked a post detailing Jay-Z’s alleged crimes.

Fans were horrified to see Knowles seemingly condemning her son-in-law. She quickly course corrected, though. Beyonce’s mother got on Instagram and claimed that her account was hacked when the aforementioned post was liked. “I was Hacked,” Knowles told followers. “As you all know I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!” Jay-Z, meanwhile, has issued a lengthy statement of his own via social media. He insisted that the whole situation is a means of extorting money from him. “It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion,” Hov told accusing lawyer, Tony Buzbee. “So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”

NBA YoungBoy Receives His Official Prison Sentence For His Federal Gun Charges

According to multiple sources, NBA YoungBoy now has his official prison sentence. The Louisiana rapper is going to be behind bars for 23 months, followed by 60 months of probation back in Utah where he’s been under house arrest. This all stems from his two separate gun cases. The first of which occurred back in September 2020 when he knowingly possessed two firearms during a music video filming in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Then, the other is for another possession of a firearm at his Huntsville, Utah pad. That went down after a search warrant was served back in April of this year.

You may be wondering why this report is coming out today, as YB was given a 27-month prison stay back in mid-November. This is a reduction of that ruling, which did tie in his drug fraud case. Then, he was ordered to pay a $25,000 fine and plead guilty to a handful of charges. They included two counts of third-degree felony identity fraud, two counts of third-degree felony forgery, and six counts of misdemeanor unlawful pharmacy conduct. Additionally, NBA YoungBoy entered a “no contest” plea to the remaining 36 charges in that case.

NBA YoungBoy Has Another Long Road Ahead Of Him

While it’s not a drastic alteration in his overall sentence, this is still better than nothing for him. At the end of the day, four less months is always going to be better. With that said though, YB’s journey into hip-hop has not always been a smooth ride. The legal issues seem to be present in some capacity despite having a majorly successful career.

It’s why Logan District Judge Spencer Walsh, the man who handed down the 27 months, showed some sympathy for the MC. “I’ve seen so many times where you have young men and women who have a lot of talent and potential. They can be robbed of that potential when they start to really struggle with their addictions. I don’t want that for you. I’m sure that in your future, once you’re done with your federal prison time, you can be really successful on federal probation and have a really bright future where you can reach your full potential in every aspect of your life. Best of luck to you, Mr. Gaulden.”

Polo G Celebrates After Claiming He “Beat” New York Gun Case

Polo G is seemingly back. The rapper has spent most of 2024 combatting gun charges, but he took to social media on December 9 to claim that he’s in the clear. Polo not only only celebrated by sharing the good news with fans, but he praised his lawyer as well. The praise included a heart emoji and a text chat that was screenshotted and shared via Instagram. The rapper has legal troubles spread throughout the U.S., but he seemed thrilled to put this particular case behind him.

“Beat my case in NYC,” he wrote over the aforementioned screenshot. Polo G then called out his lawyer by name and thanked her. “Shout out to my lawyer Stacey Richman.” The screenshot appears to have a text message from Richman, informing the rapper of the good news. “Congratulations,” the lawyer wrote. “I just got off the record in front of the judge! Your case is dismissed and sealed.” Polo G proceeded to blur out the rest of the text exchange. The bottom line is that the rapper is reportedly free and clear of charges that stemmed from an April 2024 arrest.

Polo G’s charges included criminal possession of a firearm and criminal possession of a weapon. An NYPD spokesperson said via email that the rapper did not resist arrest. “Upon arrival, it was reported to officers that there is a firearm at the location,” the email read. “An individual was placed into custody at the location without incident.” Polo had $23K in cash on his person.

Polo G may be in the clear regarding his New York case, but he has other legal troubles to consider. A police raid on his Los Angeles home revealed multiple weapons in August 2023. There was also charges of battery on a police officer and criminal mischief following a Miami arrest in 2021. Given Polo’s prodigious talent, fans are no doubt pulling for the Chicago native to get his act together and focus on his career. Polo recently appeared on the excellent Lil Tjay song “Way Out the Hood II.”

Slim Thug Bashes Fans For Assuming JAY-Z Allegations Are True

Slim Thug has got a lot to say. The rapper goes viral every few months for giving his two cents on a controversy. He’s spoke on everything from Megan Thee Stallion to the notion that he’s made more than any other rapper off mixtapes. Slim Thug’s latest topic of discussion, though, is his most grave yet. He addressed the rape allegations that have been made against JAY-Z on Sunday. Hov was accused of assaulting a teenage girl alongside Diddy at a 2000 VMAs after party. Thug doesn’t buy it, though.

Slim Thug took to Instagram Live to air out his thoughts on the situation. Simply put, he doesn’t think JAY-Z is guilty. “JAY-Z is not guilty,” he asserted. “I don’t believe that sh*t.” Slim Thug then broadened the topic, and addressed the reason he believes Hov and Diddy are being targeted. “We’ll continue to see motherf*ckers try to take down Black billionaires,” the rapper posited. “And everybody gonna cheer him on. For allegations. No criminal cases or none of that sh*t.” Thug then delved into his experiences with lawyers, and the ways in which they allegedly operate.

Slim Thug Believes JAY-Z Is Being Targeted

“I been telling y’all how them lawyers do,” Slim Thug noted. “They try and get money. Get motherf*ckers to settle cuse they know public opinion gon’ kill them anyway. Whether you innocent or not.” Thug feels that blogs and various media outlets make it so that an allegation is enough to cause damage to a public persona. “By the time the blogs get done,” he added. “Sheesh. That sh*t all fake anyway.” Slim Thug had a similar stance when Diddy was first accused of assault and sexual harassment. The rapper scolded the hip hop community for writing the Bad Boy mogul off after decades of impactful work.

The Houston rapper did change his tune on Diddy, though. Slim Thug took to social media shortly after the video of Diddy attacking Cassie surfaced online. He issued an apology to the R&B singer, and turned his ire toward Diddy. “I can’t stand behind this 🤐 I’ll take this L,” he explained. “But I still will ride with my ppl until I see some sort of proof. I don’t believe in blogs or civil suits.” Slim Thug is standing by the latter half of his statement, and extending the same grace to JAY-Z. Innocent until proven guilty.

Tony Yayo And Uncle Murda Suggest Diddy Is Behind JAY-Z Allegations

JAY-Z’s rape allegations have turned the hip hop world on its head. The emcee has been accused of sexually assaulting a teenager with Diddy two decades ago. JAY-Z has denied these allegations in the form of a written statement. There are two NYC artists, however, who will remain in his corner. Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda were interviewed by TMZ as they exited an airport. The veterans felt that Hov was being set up. He went as far as to theorize that Diddy was the man behind it all.

Uncle Murda was the most forthright in terms of his stance. “I think Diddy paid somebody to say that sh*t about JAY,” he posited. “To get the heat off of hisself. Diddy looking bad out here.” The Brooklyn icon went on to suggest that Diddy would do whatever he could to improve his current situation. “Gotta watch Diddy,” Uncle Murda added. “He going through a lot right now.” Tony Yayo was similarly hesitant to believe the JAY-Z allegations. “It sound like a money grab with that one,” he noted. “Somebody send you a letter, and then you gotta send your lawyers? Sound like extortion.”

Tony Yayo Suspects “Exortion” In JAY-Z Case

Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda urged the TMZ reporter to spread their takes with the rest of the world. The reporter asked whether they agreed with JAY-Z’s decision to fight the allegations publicly. This bold decision drew support from the likes of Tony Yayo and Murda. “F*ck that,” the rapper explained. “You gotta fight that.” Murda also voiced his support. He doubled down on his Diddy conspiracy theory. “That’s Puff trying to set him up,” he concluded.

Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda are uniquely qualified to speak on JAY-Z. The former was running in circles similar to Hov in the 2000s, while the latter was signed to Roc-A-Fella Records alongside Hov for several years. Not every peer of JAY-Z’s has been as supportive, though. Tony Yayo and Murda’s former boss, 50 Cent, had a much more flippant response to Hov’s allegations. He sarcastically inquired about JAY-Z’s involvement in the Super Bowl, while claiming he was “asking for a friend.” Leave it to 50 to troll no matter the circumstances.

Tina Knowles Claims She Was Hacked After Liking JAY-Z Allegations Post

JAY-Z is the latest rapper to be hit with harrowing allegations. The Brooklyn hitmaker was was accused of sexually assaulting a minor alongside Diddy in 2000. The minor in question was alleged to be 13 years old, and the assault was alleged to have taken place at a VMAs after party. JAY-Z’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, has already issued a statement denying these claims. Of course, the story has spread like wildfire online, with many debating the legitimacy of the suit. It was the Instagram activity of JAY-Z’s mother in law, Tina Knowles, however, that had fans stumped.

Tina Knowles liked a post detailing the allegations against JAY-Z on the social media platform. Fans were shocked to see a member of the rapper’s own family seemingly condoning the lawsuit. This led many to question whether Knowles has any knowledge of her son-in-law’s past. It did not take long, however, for Tina Knowles to make a statement. Beyonce’s mother took to Instagram to explain that her account had been hacked. She insisted that she did not condone or like the post about JAY-Z legal troubles, and said she would never do anything of the sort against her own family.

Tina Knowles Assured Fans She Supports JAY-Z

“I was Hacked,” Tina Knowles asserted. “As you all know I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me. Just know that it is not me!” The celebrity mother added some more thoughts in the caption of her explanatory post. She urged fans to “stop playing with me!!!!” and quoted the Bible, to emphasize the severity of her words. “No weapon formed against my family shall prosper,” she concluded. Tina Knowles has gone out of her way to avoid discussing the personal lives of both her daughter and JAY-Z.

She has, however, been supportive of Hov whenever she does speak on him. She assured TMZ that the relationship between the rapper and her daughter was nearly “perfect” in 2023. During a 2022 chat with Gayle King, Tina Knowles recalled feeling protective of the Brooklyn icon. She claimed a white women referred to Hov as a “gangster rapper” instead of a CEO. “She didn’t think of him as a CEO, or even a talented celebrity that was a great businessman,” Knowles noted. Based on her recent comments, she still feels protective.
