Meanwhile, one of the most notable celebrity responses came thanks to Iggy Azalea. After fans attacked her online, since Tory was meant to executive produce her new album, she set the record straight. Moreover, she responded to a user who pointed out the hypothetical nature of that criticism.

“Thank you,” the “Fancy” rapper wrote. “This is all I ask. Now isn’t the time to talk about a hypothetical album I’m yet to create or who will E.P it. Give me a min, y’all can fell however you want about whoever you want – that’s all good. But this isn’t the forum to discuss it. Happy holidays.”

However, others like Carl Crawford criticized Tory’s incarceration just a couple of days before Christmas. Additionally, he said that every Black man likely has the same reaction to Lanez getting a maximum of 22 years in jail.

“That’s cold-blooded…” the 1501 CEO said. “Two days before Christmas… 20 plus years… now, if a Black man don’t feel that, that’s cold.”

Many have also brought up the following tweet from the Canadian rapper in light of his verdict.

“I’m going to leave this here one more time… and watch how it ages… NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER… AND EVERY TONGUE THAT RISES AGAINST ME IN JUDGEMENT SHALL BE CONDEMNED u sit and watch now… And don’t ever question the GOD I serve again. This is my last tweet,” he said back on December 7th.

Furthermore, many other celebrities reacted including Melii, Baby Tate, Jonathan Wright, Anthony Fantano, Lil Ju, and more. Still, reactions have been relatively mixed, with some outraged at the verdict. However, it seems many are grateful for justice for Meg.

Tory Lanez Found Guilty Of All 3 Charges In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting

A verdict has finally been reached in the Tory Lanez trial, and the internet has lit up. After two weeks of controversial testimony, a jury has found Lanez guilty of all charges: assault with a semi-automatic firearm (personal use of a firearm); carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle; and discharging a firearm with gross negligence.

In one of the most talked about Hip Hop trials in recent years, Megan Thee Stallion and Lanez have divided the culture. He claimed Megan’s former friend Kelsey Harris pulled the trigger, while Harris denied being the person responsible. The defense hoped to cast enough reasonable doubt in an effort to obtain a not-guilty verdict.

Aside from the verdict, Megan’s missing bodyguard was also a hot topic today (December 23). Justin Edison was called to testify in the trial last Friday, but he went missing. Today, he surrendered to the authorities, and it is speculated that the pressure from the trial caused him to retreat.

During the trial, Megan testified that she saw Lanez shoot her.

“He was holding the gun pointing at me,” she said, also declaring that Lanez told her, “Dance b*tch,” as he fired the gun.

“I froze,” said Megan. She added, she was “shocked.”

“I wasn’t really sure if this was happening,” Megan testified. Continuing, “I looked at the ground and saw the blood … everyone was shocked.”

“He was found and bench warrant was recalled,” Attorney Michael Zweiback said. Edison reportedly “came forward today because of what was happening to his family.”

The bodyguard’s father recently told Good Morning America that he hadn’t heard from Edison since last Thursday.

“My hope is that [Justin] comes forward so that he doesn’t assume the risks that we discussed before,” Harold Edison shared with GMA. “I explained to him that this is not worth the risk … we must maintain our integrity.” He also noted that a SWAT team entered his home and placed him in handcuffs. The District Attorney’s office declined to comment about the incident.

“I really want this to stop. This is a clear abuse of law enforcement,” Harold added.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Ex Bodyguard’s Nudes Leak After He No-Shows Tory Lanez Trial

Just when we thought the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion trial couldn’t come with any more curve balls, we’ve been hit with another. Following reports that the Houston native’s former bodyguard, Justin Edison, is missing, nudes allegedly believed to be his have leaked online, causing a major stir on Twitter.

The “Hot Girl Summer” hitmaker’s ex-security was due to testify in court last Friday (December 16). However, he inexplicably failed to show up at the courthouse last week. Prior to that, he was expected to say that the Canadian apologized to him for shooting his client.

It’s worth noting that Edison wasn’t actually present at the time of the incident, though he did vehemently vow to protect Thee Stallion afterward. Presently, the reason for his absence remains unknown, though some blogs did speculate that he was in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup.

A source previously told Media Take Out that the bodyguard was protecting an anonymous VIP at the games, and even provided Instagram photos believed to be him. However, the account holder who shared the snapshots shut down the gossip, telling people that the man in the photograph is not the one they were looking for.

Ultimately, the trial wrapped up its closing statements earlier this week without hearing Edison’s testimony. Additionally, Tory Lanez never took the stand, though both Megan Thee Stallion and Kelsey Harris did.

Unfortunately, the former athlete isn’t completely off the hook. As his name was circulating for his apparent disappearance, someone decided it was the perfect time to leak alleged nudes belonging to him.

At this time, it hasn’t been officially confirmed whether it’s Edison in the viral photos. However, various blogs have already attributed them to him, causing plenty of unwanted attention to head his way.

On Twitter, the discourse regarding the situation has been coming in nonstop. “Tattoos don’t match. When compared to his most recent and old pictures. First he went missing and now someone is trying to claim this is his nudes? What’s really going on with this case and behind the scenes???” one user pondered.

“The fact that Justin Edison’s nudes leaked and y’all are laughing at his size rather than addressing the obvious extortion attempt and revenge porn is disgusting,” another pointed out.

Other responses came from those who were simply eager to see the nudes for themselves.

Unfoonk Can’t Say “Slatt,” “Slime” & Other YSL-Related Slang: Report

The YSL Rico trial in Atlanta is inching closer and closer, and as a result, updates continue to pour in. Following the shocking news of Gunna’s release last week, several other YSL Records artists have also been released from jail. One of those artists is Unfoonk, Young Thug’s older brother and Slime Language 2 collaborator. Since his release from jail earlier this week, Unfoonk has vehemently denied snitching on Young Thug for his plea deal.

“Damn people really think I told on my own brother SMH,” he wrote on Instagram shortly after his release.

In addition to addressing his plea deal, Unfoonk has also been far more visible than his newly freed YSL labelmates. Whereas Gunna and Lil Duke have generally stayed off social media, Unfoonk has not shied away from Instagram. In fact, the My Struggle artist recently linked up with YSL Records affiliate Lil Gotit.

However, not everything has been easy for Unfoonk since his release from jail. The “Real” rapper wasted no time getting back into the studio this week, and while there, he hopped on Instagram Live. During the livestream, he admitted that there were more conditions to his plea deal, and they could affect his music.

In what appears to be a studio session for a “First Day Out” type of record, Unfoonk discussed the strict new guidelines that he has to follow.

“I ain’t gotta promote it. I still can drop it,” Unfoonk says in the video.

After that, those present discuss his alleged recording stipulations. Apparently, he is no longer allowed to say “slime,” “slatt,” or “YSL” in his music. Surprisingly, someone in the video exclaims that he’s not even allowed to do the nose-wiping gesture, which YSL helped popularize.

Young Thug Co-Defendant Obama Is The 6th To Cop A Plea

The prosecutors on the YSL case are working aggressively to convict Young Thug on RICO charges. Over the past week, we’ve seen many of the defendants in the case cop plea deals, notably Gunna and Unfoonk.

A sixth defendant in the case also copped a plea this week. Antonio Sumlin, also known as Obama, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to violate the RICO act, two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime, and participation in criminal street gang activity. As part of his deal, Obama will have to serve 15 years of probation.

Prosecutors and defense also grilled the state’s witness, DeKalb County jail investigator Quinton Hall, an expert on gangs. Though prosecutors said that Hall “knows what he’s talking about,” defense attorney Suri Chadha Jimenez, representing co-defendant Cordaris Dorsey, argued that he “doesn’t meet the qualifications.” Ultimately, the judge sided with Jimenez.

“At this point, I’m not going to qualify him as an expert,” explained Judge Ural Glanville. “I’ll revisit that should the state repackage his particular or he testifies more succinctly.”

Following Sumlin’s deal, there are now 23 defendants standing in the case.

Gunna became the first member of YSL to cop a plea. Last week, he issued a statement about taking an Alford Plea, vehemently denying that he turned on Young Thug.

“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” Gunna said in a statement following his release from jail last week.

We’ll keep you posted on any more updates surrounding the YSL and Young Thug.

Orlando Brown Arrested In Ohio, “That’s So Raven” Star Smiles In His Mug Shot

Childhood stardom sure sounds like a dream come true. However, many past Disney Channel stars continue to prove that working for the Magic Kingdom doesn’t always result in a fairytale ending. Usually, names like Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato make headlines with their antics. Most recently, though, a former That’s So Raven cast member is giving them a run for their money.

Orlando Brown, best known for playing Eddie Thomas on the sitcom, was taken into custody on Thursday (December 22). According to reports from TMZ, the Lima Police Department got a call about “a fight in progress” yesterday. This led them to the actor’s house.

Earlier today (December 23), further details reveal that the altercation took place between him and a family member or other resident of the home. Additionally, we now know that Brown has been living in Ohio for over a month.

As you may recall, this is far from his first run-in with the law. In 2018, he was behind bars almost every month of the year. His charges ranged from burglary and domestic battery to drug possession and resisting a public officer. That same year, he made waves with a new tattoo – a portrait of former co-star Raven Symoné’s face on his chest.

In September of that year, Brown spent some time behind bars after pleading no contest. The charges he was facing at the time include attempting to change the locks on a friend’s restaurant, as well as possession of narcotics.

As a result of his antics, the 35-year-old sat down with Dr. Phil McGraw for an intervention-style interview. He opted to wear snake-eye contacts during their chat, making claims that he was “locked [up] for no reason and set up.”

He additionally made it known that he had no desire to “dedicate another 90 days” to treatment for his addictions. Rather, his plans were to “jump back into that life [of fatherhood and] figure out who everybody is.”

However, viewers couldn’t help but notice that Brown gave McGraw incorrect names and ages of his family in the interview. Surprisingly, he also told the host he has a 2-year-old “on the way” with his wife, Danielle Brown.

Since then, the embattled actor has publicly reflected on his past comments, even offering an apology and thanking Dr. Phil for “opening the door to show people that actually think they don’t need help to go get help.”

In August of this year, Brown admitted that he’s been “on the hideout” ever since the footage aired. He also told Cam Capone, “I’m just waiting to die at this point. But realistically, I have goals.”

Check back in with HNHH later for any updates on Orlando Brown’s Ohio arrest.
