Lil Yachty Wants A Collab Album With Tyler, The Creator

Let’s Start Here is one of the most talked about and acclaimed albums of the year so far, and its creator is looking to continue in that direction. Moreover, Lil Yachty recently expressed that he’d love to do a collab album with Tyler, the Creator. Not only that, but he told Billboard during an interview that the Golf Wang mogul inspired him to experiment in the first place. While many turned Yachty’s album into thinkpiece fodder, its most triumphant victory is the sheer quality, creativity, and artistic vision on display regardless of what he did or didn’t do before. In a similar way, Tyler’s been one of the most evolutionary and artistically motivated figures of our time, so the connection is unsurprising but incredibly exciting.

“[Tyler] is the reason I made this album,” the Atlanta creator expressed. “He’s the one who told me to do it, just go for it. He’s so confident and I have so much respect for him because he takes me seriously, and he always has.” Later in the interview, he added, “I would love to do a project with Tyler.”

Lil Yachty & Tyler, The Creator Collab Album Could Happen One Day

Of course, this should send fans of either or both artists into a frenzy. Furthermore, the 25-year-old crafted one of the year’s most definitive pieces of music so far, kicking off 2023 with a lot of discussion and acclaim. Meanwhile, fans of T know that he’s due another project quite soon, as it’s an odd year and it’s been two years since his last album. The former Odd Future boss hasn’t strayed from his release schedule yet, although he’s so deep into his acclaimed career that a switch-up wouldn’t be frustrating at all.

Still, if a collaborative track, album, video, or whatever else sees the light of day, it should make for a really colorful team-up. After all, their track “T.D.” from Yachty’s Lil Boat 3 was a fun banger that also featured A$AP Rocky and Tierra Whack. However you may feel about their music, you can’t deny that they’re two of the rap-adjacent world’s most boundary-pushing leaders in 2023. Regardless, check back in with HNHH for the latest on Lil Yachty and Tyler, the Creator.

Metro Boomin Confirms 2023 Release Date For Future Collab Album

Few hip-hop producers today- or ever, for that matter- are able to reach the self-made artistic dominance of Young Metro. He may only have a few solo projects to his name, but he indelibly shaped so many projects from this era. From producing hot singles to helping behind the scenes to, most famously, his joint projects, Metro’s done it all. In fact, Metro Boomin recently said that his upcoming collab album with Future will release in 2023. Of course, they already teased this before, but to hear further confirmation is always exciting, especially from these two longtime collaborators that still recently put out some of their best work.

FLAUNT magazine recently debuted a cover story with the producer on Monday (March 6), shortly after his second No. 1 album HEROES & VILLAINS. During said interview, he spoke on performing with Future for his One Big Party tour stop in Atlanta. “Oh, that was fire,” he shared. “You know, Pluto, that’s my brother. We’ve been at it for a long time. This whole superhero moment, it’s like the beginning of our phase two. We haven’t had a song out since ‘Mask Off,’ they’ve been on our heads. With this, and then the whole State Farm thing, it’s starting to slowly put people on notice: we crankin’ that s**t back up too.”

Later on, he said that their upcoming full-length team-up will most likely come out this year. “Definitely,” he expressed, “I would bet on it. I would definitely bet on it.” Previously, he called the project the “album of the year” in an Apple Music interview. “Let me tell you why,” the 29-year-old went on. “[Future] actually finished most of the album at my studio in L.A. That’s my brother, but we’re working on some things. At first, we were going to put a couple of songs with me and him on the album, but we had took them off because I had talked to him.”

Meanwhile, the star producer recently landed some other huge wins. For example, he sold a chunk of publishing rights to his catalog for $70 million on Tuesday (March 7). With his continuing to release new music, hopefully that means he’ll have more direct control of what he decides to put out, at least for now. Usually these deals have some odd implications for artists, but for Metro, it’s just him knowing what he’s worth and that the best is yet to come. T.I. Says He Has No Beef With Boosie

T.I. recently stated that he has no beef with Boosie Badazz, despite what recent weeks indicated. For those of you unaware, the two engaged in a social media spat after Boosie called off their joint album, saying that T.I. snitched on his late cousin. Now, TMZ caught up with him outside The Cheesecake Factory, where he laughed off the feud when first asked about it. Moreover, he told the publication that “someone misspoke,” referring to Boosie, and that he knows he’s wrong. Furthermore, the Atlanta icon said that they’ll work out those issues between themselves and not in the public eye.

The way it should’ve been in the first place,” Tip said of the two making amends outside of the media spotlight. In addition, he expressed that these situations are bigger than any handful of tracks, and said that’s why getting the music out there isn’t the main focus for him right now. Also, as a bit of an extra question, the interviewer asked T.I. what advice he has for young rappers trying to make it. “They gon’ have to go through it to get through it,” he remarked, saying his advice is nothing compared to an individual’s experiences.

Meanwhile, the “Live Your Life” MC actually instigated plenty of furtherance of this Boosie feud online, so his words here are a bit odd. For example, he posted paperwork allegedly proving Boosie’s claims and information were false. In fact, he even invited him to a live event so the Baton Rouge rapper could see them for himself. However, he didn’t make it to the venue, which T.I. was not happy with.

“Let a motherf***er know that the paperwork was present,” he stated to many fans. “I’ve been waiting on one special invited guest to show up, but he ain’t showed up yet. But he ain’t here to see my paperwork. So come on if you got something to say. I wanna see who wanna see, you hear me? After you see what you need to see, it’s on you now.” Regardless of your take, come back to HNHH for the latest on T.I. and Boosie Badazz.

Drake & 21 Savage Drop Music Video For “Spin Bout U” Off “Her Loss”

Drake & 21 Savage just dropped the music video for their Her Loss cut, “Spin Bout U.” Moreover, it tells a pretty over-the-top but dangerously entertaining tale of excess, love, loss, and revenge. While 21 and Drizzy enjoy their time on a lavish cruise, they find a woman drowning next to them. After saving her, the 6 God tries to get cozy but she drugs and kidnaps both him and the Atlanta MC. Then, more women arrive to steal their jewelry, tattoo thing on their faces, trash their ship, and eventually burn the whole thing down. A bit before the video ends, they even steal Drake’s engagement ring necklace and execute him, while 21 jumps off the ship to try and escape.

Overall, it’s a pretty ridiculous but also tongue-in-cheek portrayal of toxic love, much like the collaborative album it lands on. Also, this track was an interesting choice for an MV with this theme because of the Canadian superstar’s infamous lines. While they’re peppered all over the tracklist, “Spin Bout U” has some interesting bars about women and relationships. One of them is “Damn, just turned on the news and seen that men who never got p***y in school are makin’ laws about what women can do.” Also there’s “Four words when I think about them is crusty, musty, dusty, rusty / Eight words when I think about us is f**k me, f**k me, f**k me, f**k me.”

Drake & 21 Savage’s “Spin Bout U” Music Video

Meanwhile, the Slaughter Gang head honcho drops some more simple, but still lovey-dovey lines, at least for their standards. “F**k your main page, what’s your Finsta? I wanna know the real you,” he raps alongside typical bars about body counts, material gifts, and, uh, intimacy. Regardless, “Spin Bout U” is a really entertaining video that feeds into criticisms of their perspectives while having fun with its extravagance. In fact, it makes one wonder why there aren’t more music videos from this album, but I guess the rollout’s not over yet.

Speaking of rollout, 21 and Drake recently settled their lawsuit from Condé Nast for their fake Vogue cover promotion for the album. While the company sought at least $4 million in damages, no specific settlement amount was revealed. Still, at least it’s another headache they don’t have to deal with as they continue celebrating their collaboration’s success. With all that in mind, here’s hoping that we get a sequel to this wild and campy narrative from this new visual. Check out the music video for “Spin Bout U” above and return to HNHH for the latest on 21 Savage and Drake.
