Dave East & AraabMuzik Link For A Luxurious & Gritty Collab Tape “Living Proof”

Dave East is here with his fifth official studio album, Living Proof, and he’s not dropping this alone. This is a new first for the Harlem spitter too, as he got to work with producer araabMUZIK exclusively for this venture. It’s worth noting though that they do have some history together, with the latter laying down beats for projects like Survival and Karma 3. Clearly, those times shared in the studio sold each other on just how great a full project could be between them. Sure enough, their assumptions were correct, because Dave East’s work with araabMUZIK might be some of the best chemistry he’s shared with another beat crafter.

Leading up to the release of Living Proof, “Buss Down” and “Percocet” were the singles kicking the rollout off. Overall, the jazzy, grand, and sort of grimy boom bap sounds you hear on both are a very accurate representation of the project’s direction. The beats on these two tracks, including many others such as “Walk Wit Me” and “The Other Side” are of high quality and really embrace East’s gravelly tone and the overall spirit of New York hip-hop. It makes sense though due to araab’s decorated past with Dipset and many other legends from the state.

GloRilla Alludes That Her And Megan Thee Stallion Are Working On A Collab Album

Since their first collaboration “Wanna Be” and their appearances on stage together, fans have been begging for GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion to further their chemistry. It’s understandable as their rowdy energy on the track is pretty contagious and their respective styles match up well. The unofficial femcee duo listened to those requests, as the Houston act would grab her for MEGAN on the track “Accent.” Then, Big Glo would return the favor on her debut album GLORIOUS with the boisterous cut “HOW I LOOK.” On top of these records, they have conducted interviews together, have been seen on social media cracking each other up, and enjoying one another’s company.

With all of that in mind, it’s clear they have become extremely close, and the fans see that. So, it’s no surprise that they have been now harping on them to get to work on a full project together. From what it sounds like, GloRilla and Megan are answering their demands. In a recent sit-down with Ebro Darden and Apple Music (via Uproxx), the interviewer asked about this very topic. “Is there truth to the rumor of you and Megan Thee Stallion having a joint project?”

GloRilla & Megan Thee Stallion Seem To Be On The Same Page

The Memphis talent giggled as she always does, which prompted Ebro to follow up with another question in that same vein. “Y’all got some heat, y’all recorded some things?” Once again, she sort of dodged really answering, simply answering, “Yep.” Ebro then pried again, “But you can’t confirm nor deny?” “Right,” Glo responds as she bursts out into laughter once more. While it seems she doesn’t want to let the cat out of the bag entirely, it sounds like a forgone conclusion. It’s helped by the fact that Megan also alluded to it as well in a recent interview with the Inside The Industry podcast. However, if y’all want it, you’re going to need to keep pestering them. “We said we were going to sit down in December and start working on it. So, y’all really need to spam Glo for real because we’re both bulls***ters,” Meg said.

What are your thoughts on GloRilla hinting at her and Megan Thee Stallion working on a collaboration album? Do you think we will get it early next year, or will we have to wait even longer than that? Is this something you would want to hear? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.

PARTYNEXTDOOR Reveals He & Drake Are Putting “Finishing Touches” On Collab Album

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have OVO fans foaming at the mouth for their highly anticipated collab album, which is apparently supposed to come out this fall. While the window on that is closing every day, a lot of recent teases from both Toronto artists about their team-up inspired a lot of hope that it’s right around the corner. The latest fuel to this fire came from PND himself, who recently spoke to The Fry Yiy Show. During his appearance on the platform, he shared that he and the 6ix God only have a few finishing touches to add to the project, and he also expressed his excitement for it.

“I have had an insane week,” PARTYNEXTDOOR remarked. “So… You guys know what’s coming for you. PARTY and Drake have a classic. And we, you know, we trying to put the finishing touches on it, so… Yeah, it’s a jam-packed month for me filled with the thing that I love to do the most. Besides being a great dad, the world’s greatest dad. But that’s besides the point.” Hardcore fans know how much potential there is here for this collab album to be something truly special. Also, an October release would just be perfect, no?

PARTYNEXTDOOR & Drake Are Apparently Almost Done With Collab Album

However, not everything was peaches and cream for Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR this year, or at least, that’s what some fans speculatively theorized. A lot of online users thought that Nicki Minaj shaded the duo for working with or publicly supporting Latto and Ice Spice, two of Nicki’s femcee opps. However, nothing really came of this rumor, and it’s still just an unverified fan interpretation. In reality, we doubt that there’s any rift or lack of support within OVO and Young Money, especially in the aftermath of the Kendrick Lamar battle.

Speaking of which, J. Cole’s new song addressing both Drake and Kendrick (albeit not by name, in the latter’s case) reopened that conversation again. As important and entertaining as it is to talk about, we can’t deny that the fatigue is something that, apparently, only the fans don’t feel at this point. So we’re looking forward to how Drizzy’s PARTYNEXTDOOR collab album will create a new era.

Drake Hypes Up PARTYNEXTDOOR Collab Album Yet Again As Fans Demand A Release Date

One of this fall’s most quickly anticipated album releases is, without a doubt, Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s upcoming collab album. It’s an OVO dream come true, especially after the decade-plus that both Toronto artists have spent crafting a sound together and displaying their chemistry. While we don’t have an official release date for it yet, the 6ix God teased at a fall drop, which might presumably carry over into the winter if that doesn’t manifest. But with how much he’s been hyping it up on social media, it feels like the record might be right around the corner.

For example, Drake recently posted an Instagram Reel of Toronto lit up at night as what seems like a Stake ad with a triple-dollar sign graphic, and it’s playing what sounds like a slightly slowed-down version of the PARTYNEXTDOOR P4 cut from this year, “N o C h i l l.” Of course, this isn’t a new song preview or anything like that, but it might hint at the sonic direction that the duo is aiming for this time around. Even though it doesn’t sound far off from their usual R&B fusions, it’s still exciting to hear what past work inspired them.

Drake’s Latest PND Collab Album Tease

Either that, or this is just a glorified Stake ad that has nothing to do with this collab album. Regardless, folks can’t wait for it to come out. But there’s a lot more conversation going on around Drake right now, even when it comes to his next musical moves. “He just love doing this s**t,” Rod Wave recently said of whether or not he plans to take a step back from the game. “He love the game. Like Brady… He at home like ‘What the f**k I’m finna do without this s**t?’”

Meanwhile, there’s another Drake collab on the way – not an album, but rather a single with Chino Pacas titled “Modo Capone.” Hearing him cross over into the Latine market again could make for a pretty unique link-up. At the very least, we hope that The Boy sings Spanish better than he did on “Gently” if he’s actually going to go multilingual. Jokes aside, we’ll see what he has in store.

Drake Proclaims His PARTYNEXTDOOR Collab Album Will Be A “Classic”

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s collab album will supposedly arrive sometime this fall, or at least, that’s what fans think based on previous teases. However, now that hype continues to build in pretty grand and confident ways, as the 6ix God recently proclaimed that the upcoming full-length will be a “classic.” Here’s the specific quote, via an Instagram comment on PND’s recent IG post that features a picture of him with the caption “Loading…”: “LOADED IN MY PHONE CLA$$$IC.” It’s unclear whether or not Drizzy referenced a specific track, a general phrase, or the entire album. Nevertheless, OVO fans can’t wait to hear what they cooked up.

Elsewhere, though, die-hards are keeping their eyes peeled and staying on their toes as the Kendrick Lamar battle’s discourse continues to evolve. For example, J. Cole recently threw his hat back into the ring by addressing the battle and his exit from it in the new song “Port Antonio.” In it, he dismissed rumors that he switched sides on Drake and seems to accuse both beef opponents of clout chasing for people’s approval. It obviously resulted in a lot of debate and discussion online.

Drake Has A “Classic” With PARTYNEXTDOOR On The Way

On the other hand, Drake doesn’t just promote his own music, but he also shouts out others on the rise. “The Drake thing was crazy, man,” KSI told Official Charts of how the Toronto superstar cosigned his new song with Trippie Redd. “For him to even put the song on his Reel, that’s huge. I just couldn’t believe it, I was like, ‘What the hell?’ To be honest, I didn’t actually know. I had several people message me. Like, ‘Bro, Drake’s used your song!’ I’d just woken up like, ‘Yo, what?’ Then I saw it, and I was like ‘Mad!’ I messaged him saying ‘Big up, thank you for using it,’ and he was like, ‘Yo, I had to, it gets the people going!’ That’s sick, he’s legit. I appreciate it.”

Meanwhile, PARTYNEXTDOOR gave some interesting details on the Drake collab album back in August. He suggested that there would be 15 new tracks, and that all of them rank as his favorite collabs that they’ve ever done. There’s a lot of promise behind this release, but also plenty of potential for them to exceed expectations.

Dame Dash Divulges On Why He Walked Away From Jay-Z & R Kelly Collab Album

The Diddy scandal has caused a lot of celebrity conspiracy theories to re-emerge, including some harrowing rumors about Jay-Z, R. Kelly, and Aaliyah. Moreover, Dame Dash recently explained why he didn’t want to be involved in Jay and Kelly’s 2002 collab album, Best Of Both Worlds, due to the latter’s alleged sexual assault of Aaliyah. As Dame alleges below, Hov allegedly moved forward with this decision despite some conversations within the Roc that warned against it. Furthermore, it seems like they were all able to settle their disagreements by working out how they would handle the money from the project.

“When it came down to R. Kelly, there was a conversation had about the morals,” Dame Dash remarked. “Like, it’s morally wrong to do a project with someone that we know r**ed my girl or r**ed anybody, for that matter. So I do know that that conversation was had, and I was really surprised that he moved forward with that relationship. I don’t know Epstein, so I never had the chance to walk away from him.

Dame Dash Speaks On Jay-Z & R. Kelly

“But I do know that when that project did come out, I didn’t want any part of that project,” Dame Dash continued about Jay-Z. “I didn’t want any of the money to go to Roc-A-Fella or me. When it came to Roc-A-Fella, it was around the time that Jay was trying to kind of separate himself from us. And he was saying that he didn’t want to be a part anymore. We resolved that issue with – look. Because he wanted me to dilute, and he wanted Biggs to dilute. And I wasn’t diluting, because I know what I mean and what I do for business, and Biggs was ready to dilute.

“But our OG, Deuce from St. Croix, kind of stepped in and was like, ‘That’s not right,’” Dame Dash concluded. “And that’s how we resolved it. The way we resolved it was, ‘Yo, you keep all the money from that project. I don’t want no parts of it,’ being Best Of Both Worlds. So again, I mean, that is true. But… you know, I just think that… I guess I think homie has to answer some questions right now.”

Big Sean Confirms The Alchemist Collab Album

With so much content already releasing these days, we wouldn’t blame Big Sean if some of his future plans don’t end up panning out. After all, we already got a great album in Better Me Than You, an upcoming self-help-style book in 2025, and plenty of promotional content, loosies, freestyles, and press runs to boot. That’s more than enough to hold us over. On that last note, though, the Sean Don recently spoke to XXL for an extensive cover story, during which he revealed a whole lot about his new LP, his personal life, and more. But one of the most interesting parts of this conversation for hip-hop fans was when he confirmed that a future plan that he had teased previously is actually panning out one day.

Moreover, Big Sean answered a question about his music video for “Together Forever,” his latest collaboration with legendary producer The Alchemist. At the end of it, a new black-and-white clip plays of a completely new set of beats and bars. “That’s part of a side quest I’m doing with Alchemist that me and him been locked in on,” the Detroit rapper revealed. “So, excited about that. That’s a project that me and Alchemist are working on together, so that’s why that part is not on the album.”

Big Sean & The Alchemist’s “Together Forever”: Stream & Watch The Music Video

So there you have it, folks: Big Sean and The Alchemist are officially working on a joint project together. This is what the former had suggested in a Complex interview from just a couple of days ago, so it’s nice to get this prompt confirmation. “I have been burnt out lately because I have chosen to take so much on by doing multiple music projects,” he had told the outlet. “So what I mean by that is my album and then also cooking up with Alchemist too.”

Of course, there’s a good chance that this collab album won’t end up seeing the light of day. That’s just the way the game goes sometimes. Maybe it’s a short EP instead of a full-length effort, maybe it comes out on an NFT site like VOIR DIRE did, and maybe this is one of those ideas that stays in the drafts. But if Big Sean and The Alchemist follow up their chemistry on “Palisades, CA” and “Together Forever,” we’re in for a true treat.

Big Sean Suggests The Alchemist Collab Album Is In The Works

Big Sean may have just dropped his new album Better Me Than You, but he’s already thinking about the future. In fact, he has a lot more full-lengths where that came from, and he spoke briefly on them during a new Complex interview. Specifically, the Detroit rapper spoke at one point about the struggles of being a famous musician and how it can stress him out. While reflecting on these emotions, he revealed that one of his perceived weaknesses and difficulties is how he works on a lot of different things at a time. It’s here where fans got a hint about a full-on collab project with The Alchemist.

“I have been burnt out lately because I have chosen to take so much on by doing multiple music projects,” Big Sean told the outlet. “So what I mean by that is my album and then also cooking up with Alchemist too,” he said of the legendary producer behind his recent cut “Together Forever.” In addition, they also collaborated on Larry June’s “Palisades, CA,” and surely have more gems in the vault.

Also, Big Sean spoke on his current ideas for his TWENTY88 duo with his partner Jhené Aiko, as well as other loosies. He suggested that these two categories and others might end up on Better Me Than You or on a forthcoming project. “Conceptually, I got this song I did with KAYTRANADA called ‘My Life’ as the last song,” Sean stated. “That kind of concludes the album from a conceptual standpoint, and it’s basically more so saying it is the light at the end of the tunnel, and I wanted to end it like that.

“But then, after I had already turned it in and was releasing it, I was like, I kind of do want to go one more step further. Maybe even add an alternate ending, how they do with movies and stuff to the album,” Big Sean explained. “I’ve been looking at [the album] as a living, breathing being because I decided to put it out this week. I was going to keep holding onto it. I had a song with Nicki [Minaj] that I was working on. One of the TWENTY88 songs, I was like, ‘Oh, it kind of fits better on the album’. But it wasn’t all the way done yet.”

PARYTNEXTDOOR Reveals Exciting New Details About Drake Collab Album

The upcoming collaborative full-length from PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake took many fans by surprise, but it’s also what plenty of them have been manifesting hopefully for years now. Never mind all the beef stories surrounding The Boy right now: this team-up is a long-anticipated OVO affair that marks yet another shift in his career, albeit a lateral one. Regardless, we now have some limited but nonetheless exciting new information about the project courtesy of Party himself. He recently spoke with Awaiz Punjani in a brief video published on Tuesday (August 6), and let fans know exactly how much new material they should expect.

“The one we doing right now, all 15 we doing right now,” PARTYNEXTDOOR responded to a question about what his favorite Drake collab is. As such, we know that there will apparently be 15 tracks on this joint album, which is very promising for various reasons. 15 is a hefty and satisfying number of cuts, but it’s also not overbearing enough to where fans would be concerned by questions of bloat, quality control, or lack of focus. Also, considering how much respect and love they have for each other, their chemistry would make any number of records electric either way.

PARTYNEXTDOOR Speaks On Drake Collab Album

“I know all you girls are outside and when it gets a little chilly, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake album will be right there for you,” Aubrey Graham said during his surprise appearance at PND’s Toronto show on Friday (August 2). While neither artist has confirmed the release date for this team-up, Drizzy’s words indicate that it will be a fall or winter release, so there’s still a solid chance it would come out for the early winter of 2025. At this concert, the 6ix God also performed “Wah Gwan Delilah” for the first time.

But elsewhere, news of Drake’s collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR comes amid rumors that his other iconic partnerships are dwindling. For example, many fans believe that Lil Wayne is sending subtle hints that he’s not rocking with his Young Money heir anymore. Of course, that’s purely speculative, so unless either artist does something truly pointed and direct, we have no reason to assume that “The Motto” will age as poorly as cuts like “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” have. At least we definitely have this PND collab to look forward to.

JID Responds To Denzel Curry’s Viral Request To Make A Collab Album

Denzel Curry really wants to team up with JID. The two are among the best lyricists of their generation, and Curry think that making a joint album with JID would bolster his skill set. That’s what he told Apple Music, at least. “I always look for somebody to challenge [me],” he said back in July. “To make me a better emcee at the end of the day… Steel sharpens steel.” Curry wasn’t fooling around, either. The Florida rapper went out of his to assert that JID was the only rapper he would consider making a full album with. Luckily for him, the Dreamville superstar is onboard.

Denzel Curry sat down with NFR Podcast on August 5. He not only talked about his latest release, but provided fans with an update on the JID collab. “JID, me and him always had good songs together,” he noted. “When I told Apple Music that I was interested in working with him, he instantly called me.” The story gets even better. Apparently, JID is just as excited about the prospect of working with Curry as is the other way around. “He just called me,” Curry revealed. “He was like, ‘At some point, let’s do it.’ And I was like, ‘For sure.’”

JID Will Also Make A Collab Album With Metro Boomin

JID has been a busy man since dropping his acclaimed 2023 album, The Forever Story. The rapper has popped up on numerous albums, most notably Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady. JID appeared on the track “Fuel,” and the general consensus was that the Dreamville rapper bested Em. Despite this stance, JID gave a shout out to the Detroit legend on Facebook. “I’m f*cking honored,” he posted. “Thank you @eminem u are truly legendary.” In addition to his planned joint album with Denzel Curry, JID has also confirmed that he has a collab album with Metro Boomin in the works.

JID has a competitive streak, and is clearly able to hold his own against some of the greatest of all time, but the rapper is wary of being compared to others too often. He articulated the downside to this notion during a 2023 interview with People Magazine. “I see people comparing me to people I should never be compared to,” he explained. “And not in a positive way, like comparing me to DMX or Andre 3000. That’s why Twitter is the wild west because you could just say anything and it could be a topic of conversation.” All comparisons aside, we agree with NFR Podcast, who theorize that a JID and Curry album could very well be the collab of the decade.
