DaBaby had himself an unfortunate incident at Rolling Loud back in 2021. Overall, he gave fans a homophobic rant that eventually went viral. Subsequently, he lost a whole lot of brand deals and for a while, his career seemed dead in the water. However, over the course of 2023, he has been able to rebuild his image a bit. His music has gotten a bit of success with his latest releases and he has also started directing music videos for other artists. Needless to say, he is doing well for himself.

Recently, DaBaby was a guest on Shannon Sharpe’s show, Club Shay Shay. During this appearance, the two got to speak on a plethora of different topics. Overall, it was an interesting conversation in which the artist spoke on his fateful Rolling Loud performance. Ultimately, he claims that he was going through hard times when it took place. However, the entire thing taught him about himself and it has since put him in a better headspace.

“I don’t regret anything that I done been through,” DaBaby said. “It feels so good to be able say that and mean it. I done probably said that before but I ain’t mean it. It’s like ‘Boy I wish I had …$200 million, y’all robbed me.’ I don’t feel like that. I really feel like that’s a blessing in disguise at this point in my life and I just came to that realization in the past two weeks.”  It seems like the artist has grown a lot from what went down. DJ Khaled has revealed to Shannon Sharpe that he once missed a DM from Drake on MySpace. “I didn’t know how to work that MySpace stuff. But oh my God, if I had an opportunity to sign Drake or work with Drake before Drake was Drake. But it just shows you that he had love for me as a producer, DJ, and as an artist. The music I was making. He had love right and that’s so dope. It’s one of the biggest artists in the world and he’s my family and he’s my brother. But just to know that, before he exploded, he was listening to DJ Khaled. Wow,” Khaled said on Club Shay Shay.

Since then, Khaled and Drake have collabed nine times. Their first musical endeavor was “Fed Up” in 2009. Furthermore, their most recent venture was 2022’s “No Secret”. As with any two superstars in the game who aren’t beefing, Drake and Khaled have formed a very close friendship. However, it’s interesting to know that there was a chance for their partnership to begin even earlier.

DJ Khaled Helped Fat Joe Land His Eminem Verse

In other musical news featuring Khaled, he also helped Fat Joe land a major feature. “When we did ‘Lean Back,’ we did it in a studio in [Khaled’s] house. I remember when it came to be remix time, I would’ve never thought I had a chance in the world of getting Eminem. He told me, ‘You could get Em.’ And I went all out and I got Eminem because Khaled had pushed me to,” Joe explained during a Rolling Stone interview.

“Lean Back” soon became a smash hit. with the remix of the Terror Squad original featuring Eminem, Lil Jon, and Ma$e. That track racked up over 83 million streams and topped the Billboard Top 100. Furthermore, it also became a club classic and is still widely remembered as a fantastic meeting of the minds. Who knows, maybe Khaled and Fat Joe originally met on MySpace too.

The pair of NFL legends debated whether it’s okay to go bathroom things in front of your romantic partner. Sharpe argued that he would never go to the bathroom in front of a woman and argued that he once broke up with a girl in front of him. Sharpe is not currently married but does have some kids.

Meanwhile, Johnson had a much more different approach. “My grandpa used to say that if you could go to the bathroom with the door open, then you’ve found the one. When [my fiancee] farted in front of me for the first time, I knew she was the one.” Johnson argued. This shocked Sharpe, who then mentioned the aforementioned breakup. Johnson has been a regular on Sharpe’s podcast as of late. One of their most heated debates was about Johnson’s familial ties. Johnson claimed that he and A$AP Rocky are cousins, saying that their grandmothers are sisters. However, Shannon Sharpe, on whose show Johnson made the claim, didn’t believe it. “I’m closer to a Rottweiler than you are to A$AP Rocky,” Sharpe told the Bengals legend. The two argued back and forth, with Johnson insisting that he was telling the truth.

However, no matter what he said, Sharpe refused to believe him. “You know who my cuh is?” Sharpe asked, baiting Johnson into a trap, “You know my cuh is? Drake. Shannon Sharpe Believes Selena Gomez Used Him To Hide From The Paparazzi

Shannon Sharpe has spoken out about the viral incident from earlier this week when he was ditched by photographers because of the appearance of Selena Gomez. While speaking with Chad Johnson, Sharpe joked that he believes Gomez’s team was using him to “distract” the press away from the singer and actress. He elaborated, suggesting that they had Selena leave right after he did so she could get away unnoticed. Sharpe admitted that he wasn’t especially familiar with Gomez but would have asked for a selfie if he had known who she was.

It was a rather funny moment when the video emerged earlier this week. Sharpe was right in the middle of an interview with TMZ and other outlets when the reporters suddenly abandoned him to grab photos and quotes from Gomez. Even funnier was the fact that several reporters actually returned to continue speaking with Sharpe after Gomez had departed. Chris Brown weighed in on the summer’s Zion Williamson drama during a recent appearance on Club Shay Shay with Shannon Sharpe. “It’s hard out here. I would just pray for Zion, man. Just pray and be the best man you can be at that point. I’m blessed to have three children — three different baby moms though — but I’m blessed to have a relationship with all of them. The energy I come with is a little more — I’m an R&B guy so I’m a little more subtle with it.”

He continued. “It’s very hard but you also gotta watch out. We all wanna be in the same spot, same places, the clubs, we wanna be out. I still wanna see some beautiful women to this day. But at the same time you gotta be mindful of the certain company you will keep or the trappers will present themselves.” Furthermore, he sought active accountability from Williamson’s teammates. “As athletes, I’m pretty sure the guys on their team give him real pep talks, ‘Look, you can’t do this.’ But on the road on our end it’s a little bit different, but I understand what he’s going through,” he added. “He’s gotta hold his head together.”

Chris Brown Thinks Of Himself As A “Good Person”

While it’s debatable as to whether Chris Brown should be giving anyone advice about women, Brown certainly believes he has that right. “I think people think I have a careless outlook on it. It’s not that I have a careless outlook. It’s that I don’t care to make you believe that I’m a great person or a good person. I try to stay in my lane, get outta the way, don’t bother nobody. Whether Brown is stays in his lane is debatable in and of itself. Earlier this year, reports emerged that Brown had violently jumped Usher at a birthday party in Vegas. The incident reportedly occurred because Usher had stood up for Teyanna Taylor, who had been the target of some hostility from Brown. He spoke about his image during a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe on the former NFL star’s Club Shay Shay podcast. The topic began with Sharpe bringing up the idea of redemption as a celebrity. 

“Yeah, so I smile,” Brown said, when Sharpe mentioned him still being able to make money. “I think people think I have a careless outlook on it. It’s not that I have a careless outlook. It’s that I don’t care to make you believe that I’m a great person or a good person,” he said. After being called out by Stephen A., Snoop Dogg decided to take to Instagram with a picture of himself with his shirt off. In the caption, Snoop simply wrote: “I’m getting my weight up so when I come on the show will talk about. Thanks for the motivation.” Overall, it was a perfect response to Smith, who is friends with the legendary artist. Chad Johnson Details Having Multiple Kids With Several Women Before Nick Cannon Or Future

Nick Cannon has been the face of celebrities who have multiple children with just as many women, but Chad Johnson claims he did it first. The industry is filled with men who choose to have a brood of children: Future, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, DMX, Shawty Lo, Chief Keef, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again, to name a few. During Johnson’s recent visit to Club Shay Shay, he discussed why his name isn’t included in conversations about entertainers with multiple baby mamas.

The former NFL star reportedly has eight children with seven women. Johnson and Sharelle Rosado welcomed their daughter just a little over a year ago, and as they plan their wedding, he says he’s open to having more kids. “I think what people fail to realize is I was Nick Cannon before Nick Cannon,” Johnson said. “I was Future before Future.”

“Sometimes, I don’t get upset, but I’m like why they don’t ever lump me in,” Johnson added. He speculated that he’s not a hot topic because he’s intimately involved in his children’s lives.

All of ’em,” he further stated. “When we go somewhere we all go as one lil’ army so I’m never lumped into that category.” Johnson described his ability to balance fatherhood as having a “method to the madness.” Cannon recently shared that he struggled because he isn’t able to be there for all of his children the way he hoped.

“But he’s doing it for a reason,” Johnson said. “My reason was during those times when I was younger, I wanted athletic children. So, therefore, I dated those who had an athletic background.” The sports great had regularly stated that when he looked for a partner, he also dug into their background to make sure they would be able to have athletic children.

There have been all sorts of rumors about why Cannon has decided to continue to expand his family. He welcomed his youngest child, whom he shares with Alyssa Scott, in December. This is the couple’s second. Their first baby, Zen, passed away from cancer complications in 2021.

However, Johnson has never lived a particularly lavish lifestyle. He has always been okay with living life with just its basic necessities. At the end of the day, this has allowed Johnson to retain the earnings he made throughout his storied career.

During an appearance on Club Shay Shay, Johnson to Shannon Sharpe about how much money he was truly saving. As he reveals in the clip below, he retained 83 percent of his money by flying on Spirit Airlines. Furthermore, he would wear fake jewelry, and never overindulged in clothing.

“If you can get to a point in your career where your name becomes bigger than anything you can purchase, there’s your value,” Johnson said. “Why am I driving a Rolls Royce and I’m Ocho?” Overall, it is a very unique point that certainly impressed Sharpe.

Eventually, Sharpe asked Johnson about how he explains this to his family. As the former NFL star revealed, it has been difficult but they ultimately understand. Moreover, Johnson has allowed his kids to enjoy some lavish goods in their youth. However, once they become adults, he wants them to make it on their own, while never living above their means.

This is a great way to live, as it ultimately ensures that he will stay wealthy forever. It is a message that many other athletes need to hear.
