Richard Jefferson Reveals Greatest Play He Has Ever Seen

Richard Jefferson has been a strong addition to the NBA on ESPN crew. Jefferson is open about every topic. The former Nets star is educated on each discussion during the show. Recently on JJ Redick’s podcast The Old Man & The Three, Redick asked Jefferson about the greatest play he has ever seen. Jefferson is a former NBA champion and has been a part of many memorable moments. However, the one play that stood above the rest is the same exact one you may think it is.

Jefferson said that LeBron’s block in the 2016 NBA Finals is the greatest one play he has ever seen. “The greatest play that I’ve ever saw— it’s the block. That’s Game 7, he’s played every minute, it’s the last possible game, it’s the last possible minute, and he does an athletic feat of sprinting back.” How could it be any other answer? That play is the reason Richard Jefferson is an NBA champion. The block that was heard around the world. Mike Breen’s “Blocked by James!” is heard during the majority of NBA Finals commercials.

Richard Jefferson Crowns’ “Blocked By James” Greatest Play Ever

The block by LeBron may be the greatest play in NBA Finals history. We’ve seen many iconic moments. Jordan’s jumper in Utah is one that comes to mind. However, we had and have not seen a defensive play decide such a massive moment. The block sealed the Cleveland Cavaliers the 2016 NBA title. Also, finishing the promise James made to bring a championship to Cleveland. Not only was it a great moment, but it was a story book ending for a franchise and their chosen son.

LeBron’s block will forever stand the test of time. It is one of the many plays that sums up the greatness of the Lakers star. Jefferson’s retelling of the play just puts it into perspective. However, James is currently not thinking of the play that changed his life. The future Hall-of-Famer has his thoughts on making one more run to the NBA Finals. In a secondary message, Simmons wrote, “Big Smile.”

The duo celebrated their first Valentine’s Day together, and to show fans their love, Simmons posted a collection of never-before-scene moments between the two. “Lover, man, best friend,” Simmons captioned.

After becoming Instagram official, Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons made their first public appearance, sitting courtside at the Memphis Grizzlies game as Ja Morant and company took on the Cleveland Cavaliers in January.

Yo Gotti initially expressed his interest in Angela in 2015 with his multiplatinum hit “Down in the DM,” so the couple’s official announcement of their romantic relationship on New Year’s Eve made national headlines. In the song, he rapped:

“And I just followed Angela (Simmons) / Boy, I got a crush on Angela Simmons / They like, ‘Damn Gotti, you bold’ / F— it, I’m gon’ let the world know.”

Gotti released further lyrics about Angela in his song “Save It For Me” two years later:

I respect it, I’m moving on, but the truth is I want her badder/Maybe me sayin’ her name made him move faster/Maybe me bein’ a G was kind of bad for her/But me bein’ a G, I was glad for her.”

Kevin Love Picks His Next Team

Kevin Love and the Cleveland Cavaliers had been looking for a divorce for a while now. Ever since LeBron James had left the team a few years ago, it had become clear that it was time for Love and the Cavs to part ways. However, they stayed together for a few years. Overall, the Cavs were ready for a buyout, but Love continued to refuse. This season, Love found himself back in the rotation, only to be taken out again. Upon this development, both sides agreed that a buyout was simply the best solution for everyone.

Over the past couple of days, there have been all sorts of rumors as it pertains to Love and his next move. Teams like the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers have all been suggested as potential teams for Love to land. Furthermore, there was also a report suggesting that the Lakers were “kicking the tires” on Love. Of course, this would ultimately mean a reunion with LeBron James. However, it seems as though Love has made his decision, and LeBron is nowhere to be found.

Kevin Love Moves On

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, Love has signed a deal with the Miami Heat. As Woj explains, Love will have a fully fleshed-out role with his new team. “Love’s expectation is that he can play a sizable role in the Heat’s frontcourt rotation as they push into the Eastern Conference playoffs. Love talked with the Sixers too,” Woj tweeted. Overall, this is a very solid signing for the Miami Heat who are looking to avoid a play-in-round match this year. They certainly aren’t having the success they had last season, although there is still time to turn themselves around.

Considering how things ended in Cleveland for Love, it will be interesting to see how well he can play, moving forward. If he fizzles out with the Heat, then his next move could be outside of the NBA. Either way, it should be fun to see how this all plays out. Let us know what you think of the Latest Heat signing, in the comments below. Additionally, stay tuned to HNHH for the latest news and updates.

Kevin Love To Receive Massive Honor From The Cavaliers

Kevin Love is one of the best players in the history of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Unfortunately, his last few years with the team have not been great. Although he was fantastic during that four-year LeBron run, he has regressed since. In addition to getting up there in age, Love has made it clear that Cleveland is not where he wants to be. However, for years, he refused to get bought out. Now, though, Love has no choice as the team plans to officially buy out his deal very soon.

Love will now get to decide where he goes next. For the most part, it seems like the Miami Heat are the favorites to get him. Additionally, the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers are angling for Love. For now, it remains to be seen where he will decide to go. LeBron fans are likely hoping for a reunion, however, there is no guarantee that happens. The Lakers have made it clear that they want to go younger, and Kevin Love doesn’t exactly fit into that mold.

Kevin Love Honored

That said, Love is still a valued member of the Cavaliers’ history. He helped them win their first and only title, which is something fans will always remember. In fact, according to a statement put out by the team, the Cavaliers are preparing the ultimate honor for Love. Yes, that’s right, the Cavaliers will be retiring Love’s number 0. Considering how things ended for him in Cleveland, this may come as just a bit of a shock. However, the Cavs understand just how much he meant to those championship teams.

Moving forward, it remains to be seen whether or not LeBron and Kyrie Irving will have their jerseys retired by the team. James will get his retired for sure, although Irving is still up in the air. No matter what, we’re sure Love is excited about this honor. Let us know what you think about the team’s decision, in the comments down below.

Kevin Love To Get Bought Out, New Suitor Revealed

Kevin Love has had his fair share of issues with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Overall, Love was brought in thanks to LeBron James. When James returned to the Cavs in 2014, he wanted a roster that could compete with the best of them. Subsequently, this led to a trade that brought K-Love. In those early years, Love played very well with the team. However, once LeBron left in 2018, it became clear that he didn’t want to be there anymore. Unfortunately, Love never actually got traded or let go. It is 2023, and he is still technically under contract with the franchise.

For years, there have been talks about buying out Love’s deal. Well, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the buyout has finally occurred. The Cavaliers are looking to finalize the deal which would allow Love to become a free agent. Although he spent nine years with the franchise, Love will be very eager to simply move on and go somewhere else.

Kevin Love Moves On

Love is someone who has only played for two franchises. These teams include the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Cavaliers. Needless to say, he has not played for the most attractive markets. However, it seems like his fortunes could be on the verge of changing. It is now being revealed that Love is looking to sign with the Miami Heat. They are a team looking for some depth ahead of the playoffs, and Love has proven to be a decent option. Only time will tell whether or not other teams decide to join the fun.

For Cavs fans, this is the end of an era. He was the last remaining player from that 2016 championship team. Overall, he might not have had a great end to his career in Cleveland. However, he was part of a legendary team that will always be celebrated. Let us know where you think Love should play, in the comments below. Donovan Mitchell Reveals How Utah Fans Were “Draining”

Donovan Mitchell is currently thriving on the Cleveland Cavaliers. There have been some growing pains along the way, however, it is clear that Mitchell is in a better place. The Cavs have room to grow into the best team in the East, and he is definitely the future of the franchise.

Mitchell is coming from a situation in Utah that was detrimental to his growth. Alongside Rudy Gobert, it was becoming quite clear that the duo couldn’t contend with the upper echelon of teams out West. Additionally, the Jazz seemingly had a rebuild in mind.

Recently, Mitchell spoke to Marc J. Spears of Andscape about his transition from Utah to Cleveland. During this conversation, Mitchell was open and honest about how Jazz fans were exhausting to deal with. He felt like many of them didn’t respect him as a black man and that he feels much happier and safer in Cleveland. Overall, it’s easy to empathize with Mitchell as Jazz fans have a less-than-stellar reputation.

Donovan Mitchell Speaks His Mind

“It’s no secret there’s a lot of stuff that I dealt with being in Utah off the floor,” Mitchell said. “If I’m being honest with you, I never really said this, but it was draining. It was just draining on my energy just because you can’t sit in your room and cheer for me and then do all these different things. I’m not saying specifically every fan, but I just feel like it was a lot of things. A [Utah] state senator [Stuart Adams] saying I need to get educated on my own Black history. Seeing Black kids getting bullied because of their skin color. Seeing a little girl [Isabella Tichenor] hang herself because she’s being bullied.

“Man, it was just one thing after another. And I will say, it’s not the only place it happens. But for me, I’m continuing to be an advocate for [racial equality] and to receive the amount of pushback I got over the years, it was a lot.”

Now, Mitchell is in a much friendlier environment, which will set him at ease from week to week. The worst feeling as a player is to think the fanbase hates you, and now, Mitchell will not have to worry about that.

LeBron James Shows Love To Cleveland

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers were in Cleveland last night where the team took on the Cavaliers. The Cavs are a team on the come-up right now, especially thanks to the efforts of Donovan Mitchell. With Mitchell on the roster, many think this team could win the East.

However, James and the Lakers were trying to spoil the party last night. Of course, James has a lot of history with the Cavaliers as he had two separate stints with the team. Whenever he shows up in Cleveland, it is a huge moment, and last night was no different.

LeBron Shouts Out Cleveland

In the end, however, the Lakers could not keep up with the Cavs. They lost the game and Mitchell ended up with a whopping 43 points. It was a phenomenal performance that ultimately overshadowed LeBron’s return. Overall, it was not a great night for the Lakers.

Despite this, LeBron was still someone that the media wanted to hear from after the game. He dropped 21 points and 17 rebounds, so it’s not like he played poorly. As you can see below, he showed a lot of love to Cleveland and even touched on the memories the city gives him.

“It’s always love coming back here. The memories that I have here will never be forgotten,” James said.

Below, you can find some of the highlights from the match. Let us know what you thought of LeBron’s performance, in the comments section down below.
