Travis Scott and Rob49 Perform “Topia Twins” Live For The First Time

Earlier this month, Travis Scott took off on his Circus Maximus tour. At shows on the tour, he unpacks much of the tracklist from his new album UTOPIA as well as plenty of favorites from his back catalog. He’s played 9 shows so far and they’ve been met with largely positive reviews from most fans attention. But overnight in Phoenix fans got a treat that nobody else has been able to see yet.

During the show, Travis Scott played his song “Topia Twins.” Though he’s played the song live before, this time he had Rob49, who features on the studio version of the song, along with him. Clips of them performing the song together made the rounds online as fans praised both the song itself and the intensity of their live delivery. In the comments, fans shared their praises. “Unpopular opinion, one of the best features on the entire album,” one of the top comments underneath a post of the performance reads. The Circus Maximus tour is already doing some crazy numbers. The tour is now projected to generate a net gross of over $80 million. Part of what’s running the numbers up so much are merch sales. Scott’s fans are notorious for taking his merch drops pretty seriously. That seems to be the case on tour as well as he’s generating nearly $1 million in merch sales every night.

Those numbers don’t even take into account that one show has already been canceled and is expected to be rescheduled. Fans were surprised when Scott canceled his October 14 show in Raleigh at the last minute. It was scheduled to be the third show on the tour. But fans were notified of its cancellation just a few hours before it was scheduled to take place. Fans were urged to hold onto their tickets for a rescheduled date. Travis Scott Postpones North Carolina Concert Without Warning

Fans in Raleigh, North Carolina were left disappointed after Travis Scott abruptly postponed a concert with no prior warning. Fans were informed a few hours before the show was set to begin that the show had been postponed. “Tonight’s Travis Scott concert at PNC Arena has been postponed. Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets as they will be honored for the TBD new date. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you!” read the email sent to ticket holders. The message was also posted on the doors of PNC Arena. However, no reason or explanation for the postponement has been provided.

The show was scheduled to be the third on Scott’s UTOPIA Circus Maximus Tour. He had kicked things off in Charlotte before heading to Raleigh for the back-to-back shows. The next scheduled stop on the tour is in Dallas on October 17. Overall, there are 39 stops on the tour, which ends in Toronto on December 29. However, fans have criticized the lack of transparency about the cancellation of the second Raleigh show. This is a developing story and we’ll have any updates as they emerge.

Elsewhere, Scott formally submitted UTOPIA for Grammy consideration last week. With only a handful of major releases left this year, it’s likely going to be the front-runner for Album of the Year. However, some people have pointed to the irony of the submission. On “Thank God”, Scott raps on the effect that his 2019 Grammy loss had on his mentality. Scott will likely contend with albums like Midnights, SOS, and One Thing At A Time.

Despite the hype of UTOPIA, fans still appear wary of the accompanying tour. Earlier this month, it was revealed that resellers were dropping their prices to as much as a quarter below the original sale price. It’s likely that the memories of Scott’s last tour, the infamous AstroWorld disaster, are likely keeping people away from the tour for a moment.

Travis Scott Kicks Off “CIRCUS MAXIMUS” Tour In Charlotte: Peep The Setlist & Moshpits

Travis Scott’s CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour is officially underway, celebrating the release of his new album UTOPIA. Moreover, he just held the first show of the trek in Charlotte, North Carolina on Wednesday (October 11), and it looks like an explosive set-up. La Flame brought out elaborate stage design, his trademark performance energy, and a lot of past hits as well throughout his concert. In fact, there have already been plenty videos circulating online, giving fans a hint at what to expect from it. One of the Houston MC’s fans even captured what it was like to be in the moshpit for his Playboi Carti and Sheck Wes collab, “FE!N.”

Furthermore, this tour also represents a bit of a comeback to live shows for him, following the Astroworld Festival tragedy in 2021. Of course, even with a lot of legal cases and settlements around that incident resolving themselves, it will still be a hard pill to swallow for some fans. Fortunately, it seems like Travis Scott is more aware than ever of patron safety and general performance security, and hopefully that trends positively as CIRCUS MAXIMUS continues. Their next tour stops will keep them in North Carolina, as they have two shows in Raleigh on Friday and Saturday (October 13 and 14, respectively). Travis Scott announced his “Circus Maximus” tour earlier this week, and tickets finally went on sale today. The performer has managed to sell out almost every single city in around an hour, leaving many fans without tickets. Fortunately, he’s now unveiled an additional 11 show dates, meaning that even more supporters will be able to catch him live. He’s announced new dates in Raleigh, Dallas, Phoenix, Oakland, Portland, Austin, Miami, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, and Toronto.

The hitmaker will embark on the “Circus Maximus” tour in October, leading with a performance in Charlotte, NC. Travis Scott Announces “Circus Maximus” Tour Dates

Travis Scott will be hitting the road this fall in support of Utopia. The rapper announced the Circus Maximus tour on Tuesday night, around the time he joined Drake on stage in Vancouver. The Houston rapper’s upcoming tour will solely include North American dates, for now. The tour flyer does state that it’s the “first leg,” indicating that he’ll undoubtedly be adding additional dates in the coming weeks. Perhaps, we could expect more dates in North America, along with international shows.

The upcoming tour runs from October 11th to December 29th, starting in Charlotte, North Carolina. He’ll also be touching down in cities such as Raleigh, Dallas, Kansas City, Denver, and more. Although he hasn’t announced a show in his hometown yet, Travis Scott will be touching down at a number of major cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, and Detroit. Finally, he’ll conclude the first leg of the Cirus Maximus tour in Toronto on Dec. 29th, which seems to indicate that Drake might join him on stage.

The tickets for the Circus Maximus tour will officially be on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m. local time. Travis already gave fans a sneak peak of what to expect from his upcoming tour. Although he didn’t get the opportunity to perform at the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt as previously planned, he delivered a stellar show in Rome. As we’ve seen in the past, Travis always emphasizes the quality of his performance so there’s no doubt that he’ll be going all out on his upcoming tour.

Interestingly enough, the tour dates seemingly confirm the rumors that Travis Scott will be replacing 21 Savage on the Canadian dates of Drake’s It’s All A Blur tour. Last night, Travis Scott joined Drake on stage in Vancouver and will presumably be joining him again for the second show tonight (Aug. 30). The final Canadian dates will be in Toronto on October 6th and 7th, a few days before Travis kicks off his own tour. So it seems likely he’ll be making an appearance in the 6ix, too. Travis Scott’s Rome Show Shines With Incredible Photos

Just the other night, Travis Scott brought an immense amount of energy to Rome, Italy. So much energy in fact, that residents believed they felt an earthquake. Scott was so psyched because he got to perform his newest project UTOPIA for 60,000 fans and it looked like it did not disappoint. The Houston star posted to his Instagram account saying, “60,000 people FE!N’n WTFFFFFFFFFFFFF ROME WAS ON ONE” The fans were certainly on one because dozens were injured and/or pepper-sprayed amidst all the rage and chaos.

Circus Maximus is the name of the tour for Scott’s high-selling album UTOPIA. The tour begins in late September and will run through late November. Some of the big-ticket destinations include Houston, Miami, Las Vegas, Atlanta, and Boston along with many others. This is the first time Travis is hitting the road since the Astroworld: Wish You Were Here Tour in 2018-19 when he brought along Gunna, Sheck Wes, and Trippie Redd. Furthermore, with a tour that is going to be this epic there, there is bound to be some amazing photos to take from it.

Travis Scott’s record label Cactus Jack blessed our Instagram feeds with some stunning shots from the Rome show. In 17 hours, it has been liked over 475,000 times, and for good reason. One of the photos features Kanye West, now going by Ye. This is his first time on stage since the anti-semitic comments he made publicly. He and La Flame performed “Praise God” from Donda, while Ye went solo on his classic “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.”

Travis Scott Performance Draws Strong Reaction From Houston Police Union

Travis Scott’s long-awaited fourth studio album UTOPIA is finally here and fans have been eating it up. It just sold 496,000 copies in its first week, which is easily the most of any rap album this year. Furthermore, sales will be around 140,000 in week two which is in the ballpark of what Lil Uzi Vert did in his first week with the Pink Tape. So, it is no surprise that Travis Scott’s first live performance for his Circus Maximus tour in Rome, Italy, was electric with 60,000 fans. He brought out one of his idols, Kanye West, which drove fans wild.

So much so, that around 60 were injured with some being pepper-sprayed in the process. La Flame is always encouraging his fans to rage at his shows, it is inevitable at this point. He says it himself on the opener to his 2018 album ASTROWORLD on the song “STARGAZING,” “And it ain’t no moshpit if ain’t no injuries.” That is exactly why the Houston Police Department does not want Travis back performing any more shows.

It is fair to say authorities are not happy with the news. “Like most, we were in complete disbelief that anyone would approve of Travis Scott or the production company having another concert,” the union said. What is interesting though, is that the Mayor of Houston, Sylvester Turner, seems to be okay with the concert since it is at a different location. “Unlike the Astroworld Festival at NRG in 2021, the concert will be held in a different type of venue. The Toyota Center has been a good partner with the City of Houston, and we expect this to continue for this and every other concert.”

Travis Scott Announces Circus Maximus Tour

Travis Scott will be officially embarking on the Circus Maximus Tour in North America, later this year. To promote his new album, Utopia, Scott announced the run of concerts on Tuesday morning. He’ll be making stops in Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Houston, and more cities from September through November, this fall. On Instagram, he also noted that an announcement for European dates will come soon.

The tour announcement comes after Scott performed in Rome, Italy on Monday night. While running through his Utopia songs, Scott also welcomed Kanye West to the stage. In doing so, he praised the legendary rapper as the “greatest of all time.” Together they performed “Praise God” and “Can’t Tell Me Nothing.”
