Travis Scott’s ‘Circus Maximus Tour’ Sent Italy Into An Earthquake-Like Frenzy Yet Again

Last August, Travis Scott staged One Night Only In Utopia at Circus Maximus in Rome, Italy to promote his then-newly released album, Utopia. Unfortunately, Scott’s performance was a public safety risk — causing fear of an earthquake due to how many people were jumping up and down at the monument, which was not built to support a concert.

Scott would go on to stage multiple Circus Maximus Tour shows throughout North America. The tour returned to Italy on Tuesday, July 23, and elicited déjà vu.

According to Billboard, 80,000 people in attendance at Ippodromo Snai La Maura in Milan “sparked worries of an earthquake.”

“While the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology didn’t report any earthquakes in Milan, X [formerly Twitter] users complained about vibrations,” Billboard clarified.

Scott posted a video to Instagram showing the ginormous crowd jumping up and down and captioned it, “Last night was a dream. ‘NO THIS ISN’T A FESTIVAL. THIS IS A SHOW ON TOUR’ in the words of Stromberg. Milan y’all owe me nothing. Y’all gave y’all all 80K of y’all had the best time ever.”

Earlier this week, Scott announced a One Night In Utopia show at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey on October 9.

NEW YORK & NEW JERSEY I WANTED TO DO THIS VENUE DURING THE FIRST LEG,” Scott wrote. “BUT FOOTBALL SEASON HAD IT TIED UP. I HAD TO MAKE SURE WE SPIN THE BLOCK. NEW YORK HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE PLACE FOR ME WHEN I PERFORM IT LETS ME KNOW THE REAL METRIC OF THE RAGE. CANT WAITTTTTT FOR ONE NIGHT IN NEW YORK.”

Scott’s Circus Maximus Tour will rumble through Germany, Spain, and Portugal before he begins his South American leg. The Circus Maximus Tour will hit Mexico City, Mexico on September 21 and East Rutherford, New Jersey on October 9 before concludign with a brief Australia and New Zealand leg. See all of the remaining dates here.

Travis Scott Stops Concert To Lecture Stage-Rushing Fan: Watch

Travis Scott showed that he had learned from the tragedies of his past as he stopped a show to lecture a fan who tried to rush the stage at his recent show. “Ragin’ ain’t runnin’. If you runnin’ down here, that ain’t ragin’. Ragin’ is ragin’. Get back out there before one of these n-ggas knock your lights out. You get what I’m sayin’?” Scott told the fan before sending him back into the crowd. The rest of the audience proceeded to show the admonished fan what “ragin” actually looked like.

Of course, Scott is particularly sensitive to the dangers of a fan rush following the infamous AstroWorld tragedy. It’s not the first time that Scott has admonished a fan on the current Circus Maximus tour. While in Austin, Scott chose to rage alongside a fan who rushed the stage. However, he did give the fan a talking to before deciding to indulge them. Despite these hiccups, the Circus Maximus tour has proven to be a massive success for Scott. It recently included a surprise appearance from Kanye West and may result in a new album being released.

Nick Saban Golfs With 50 Cent And Travis Scott

Meanwhile, Nick Saban is clearly enjoying retirement as he teamed up with Scott and 50 Cent at a charity golf event last weekend. Saban hit the links in Palm Beach as part of the Mr. October Celebrity Golf Classic. Hosted by former MLB superstar Reggie Jackson (Mr. October), Saban’s pairing for the event was Fif and Scott. The event raised over $1M for Jackson’s foundation, which helps acquire STEM funding.

Saban is an avid golfer and has been throughout his tenured coaching career. He is neighbors with Tiger Woods after purchasing a property in Jupiter, Florida last year. Furthermore, he is also the partial owner of the Waterall Club, a private golf community in Clayton, Georgia. However, there’s no immediate information on what the trio shot on the Palm Beach course.

Travis Scott Previews New Song At “Circus Maximus” Afterparty

Travis Scott dropped a short snippet of a new song during an afterparty during his Circus Maximus Tour. The track had a slow, laid-back beat. Furthermore, it appeared to incorporate a sample of an eagle screech into the track before the vocals began. At this time, no other details about the song are available.

There are eight stops left on his Circus Maximus Tour, which has been ongoing since October 2023. Penn State, Milwaukee, St. Paul, Chicago, Columbus, Miami, and Orlando will also host tour stops across the rest of January. However, the tour will end with a February 3 show in St. Louis. Travis Scott Rolling Loud Air Jordans Sell for $9760

Meanwhile, a pair of Air Jordans that Scott gave to a fan during Rolling Loud Germany recently sold for nearly $10,000 at auction. The shoes were sold through Goldin Auctions for $9760 after a 29-bid auction in December 2023. This saw the lot fall just shy of the $10,000 estimate Goldin had given it. Scott had gifted the shoes to an Egyptian fan after bringing the man up on stage. It was one of several impromptu clothing giveaways Scott did in his pre-Utopia festival circuit.

As mentioned, it wasn’t the first time that Scott gave away his shoes over the summer. Earlier in July, at Longitude Festival in Dublin, Scott got up close and personal with the throbbing mass of fans at the barricade. Picking out one fan in particular, Scott began to rap back and forth with the fan, who eagerly responded. The back-and-forth continued, with Scott getting more and more hyped up about the interaction. When the verse ended, Scott pulled off his shirt, an unreleased Utopia merch item, as well as his Air Jordans. Fighting back the sea of grabbing hands, Scott handed the items to the fan he had rapped with.

Offset Brings His Son To A Travis Scott Concert

2023 has been a legendary year for celebrities of all kinds being spotted at various concerts. With Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, Beyonce’s Renaissance Tour, and Drake’s It’s All A Blur tour there were plenty of massive stops worth attending. Now, another superstar is having fellow celebs pop up at his tour stops every night. That’s Travis Scott, who took off on his CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour last month following the release of his new album UTOPIA earlier this year.

The newest star to pop up at one of Travis Scott’s shows is a fellow rapper. Former Migos star Offset was in attendance with his sons. While there he shared numerous videos of himself and his kids enjoying the show. As you’d expect they have some pretty incredible tickets, watching the show from just a few feet away from the stage. In the trio of videos the rapper and his kids seem to enjoy themselves to a number of Scott’s biggest songs. Check out the clips below.

Offset Takes His Sons To A Travis Scott Show

Earlier this year, Offset released his first new album in 5 years, Set It Off. The song spawned a couple of hits like “WORTH IT” with Don Toliver. The biggest hit from the album was “SAY MY GRACE” which featured Travis Scott himself. The song netted some pretty impressive first week sales pushing more than 70k units which was good enough to net it a top 5 debut.

But the far bigger story following Offset in recent weeks has been his relationship with Cardi B. After fans notices that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram, rumors began to swirl. They were crystalized when Cardi B went on Instagram live and described herself as “single.” The pair haven’t been spotted together since and the future of their relationship is very much still up in the air. What do you think of Offset bringing his sons to a show on Travis Scott’s CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour? Let us know in the comment section below.

Travis Scott Hit In The Head By Stage Prop During Concert

Earlier this year Travis Scott released his highly-anticipated new album UTOPIA. The project was absolutely stacked with high-profile features pulling appearances from Young Thug, Future, Drake, SZA, Beyonce, The Weeknd, and many more. Fittingly given how grand of an undertaking the album was it needed a tour that could match the caliber of excitement. Earlier this year Travis Scott took off on the Circus Maximus tour and it’s been just that. The larger-than-life performances often feature memorable moments and recurring guest stars on a night-by-night basis.

But during a show earlier this week, Travis Scott narrowly avoided disaster. In a video shared by TMZ, the “MELTDOWN” rapper is performing on stage while one of the suspended props slowly creeps up behind him. As fans watch, the prop hits him from behind and he only narrowly avoids a major fall by jumping down to a lower part of the stage. It’s unclear whether Travis was in the wrong place at the time or the prop simply wasn’t meant to be moving like that. Regardless he got away with the mistake without any injuries or even any delay to the show. Check out the video of the incident below.

Travis Scott’s Near-Disaster

Last week, Travis Scott had a different kind of tour issue. He canceled a planned Chicago show at the last minute and left plenty of fans frustrated. Part of their frustration came from the late notice but also the lack of transparency. Scott blamed the cancelation on travel delays but many fans believed he should have been able to notify them sooner.

Travis Scott’s music also recently appeared in the tracklist of Nicki Minaj’s new album Pink Friday 2 as a sample. Her song “Pink Birthday” contains a sample of one of Travis’ songs from his 2015 album Rodeo. During a livestream with Kai Cenat last week Minaj thanked Scott directly for helping with the sample clearance. What do you think of Travis Scott almost being knocked off-stage by one of his tour props? Let us know in the comment section below.

Travis Scott Sings To Gorilla Mascot Onstage At Phoenix Concert: Watch

Travis Scott is currently bringing UTOPIA to life on his CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour, which has been a wildly successful affair so far. While it hasn’t removed all the conversation around his live performances and the context of past tragedies, it’s at least given hungry fans a spectacle to enjoy in this new album phase. Moreover, the Houston MC is also bringing out a couple of special guests during this trek, including one Rob49, who was an unexpected but welcome feature on the album. They recently debuted their collab “TOPIA TWINS” in a concert setting, with both performing through it with a lot of energy. However, La Flame is also prone to bring out some even more unconventional guests.

Furthermore, he brought out a gorilla during his recent show in Phoenix- no, not the Memphis MC who made “F.N.F.”: a gorilla. Well, it was someone dressed in a full gorilla suit, who just stood in the center of the stage as Travis Scott performed his Swae Lee and The Weeknd-assisted song “CIRCUS MAXIMUS.” It’s quite the comical clip; not only is it so bizarrely out of context and random, but it looks like he’s almost trying to serenade the mascot. Maybe the 32-year-old just needed someone close to him to sing to, or perhaps he spotted them in the crowd and couldn’t resist the chance to bring them up.

Travis Scott & A Gorilla Mascot Rock The Stage: Watch

Regardless, it’s also quite probable for Travis Scott to chastise people at his concerts just as much as he shows fans love. That’s under the assumption that this gorilla is a crowd member, because if it’s a planned part of the show… again, it’s a bit odd to explain. Despite that, at least the gorilla had more luck than a security guard did at a recent incident. The “MODERN JAM” rapper called them out mid-show and told the guard they “got to go” after they scuffled with a fan.

Meanwhile, do you think this was an integral part of the CIRCUS MAXIMUS tour? On the other hand, was it just a lucky fan who got the chance to be onstage? However you may feel, let us know in the comments down below. In addition, check back in with HNHH for the latest news and updates on Travis Scott.

Travis Scott Postpones North Carolina Concert Without Warning

Fans in Raleigh, North Carolina were left disappointed after Travis Scott abruptly postponed a concert with no prior warning. Fans were informed a few hours before the show was set to begin that the show had been postponed. “Tonight’s Travis Scott concert at PNC Arena has been postponed. Fans are encouraged to hold on to their tickets as they will be honored for the TBD new date. We apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you!” read the email sent to ticket holders. The message was also posted on the doors of PNC Arena. However, no reason or explanation for the postponement has been provided.

The show was scheduled to be the third on Scott’s UTOPIA Circus Maximus Tour. He had kicked things off in Charlotte before heading to Raleigh for the back-to-back shows. The next scheduled stop on the tour is in Dallas on October 17. Overall, there are 39 stops on the tour, which ends in Toronto on December 29. However, fans have criticized the lack of transparency about the cancellation of the second Raleigh show. This is a developing story and we’ll have any updates as they emerge.

Scott Submits UTOPIA For Grammy Consideration

Elsewhere, Scott formally submitted UTOPIA for Grammy consideration last week. With only a handful of major releases left this year, it’s likely going to be the front-runner for Album of the Year. However, some people have pointed to the irony of the submission. On “Thank God”, Scott raps on the effect that his 2019 Grammy loss had on his mentality. Scott will likely contend with albums like Midnights, SOS, and One Thing At A Time.

Despite the hype of UTOPIA, fans still appear wary of the accompanying tour. Earlier this month, it was revealed that resellers were dropping their prices to as much as a quarter below the original sale price. It’s likely that the memories of Scott’s last tour, the infamous AstroWorld disaster, are likely keeping people away from the tour for a moment.
