Sexyy Red Says She is Working on a Joint Album with Chief Keef

Sexyy Red and Chief Keef Drop Anticipated Video for "Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad)"

Sexyy Red has revealed that she will drop a joint album with Chief Keef. Red kept mystery in their relationship, stating, “That’s my boo.”

“We dropping an album soon,” Red said. “Yeah, for sure. We’ve been working.

“We just be on some money shit. Some car shit, fast cars. Fuck these hoes. Buy some clothes. and keep your hair done.”

Earlier this year, Sexyy Red and Chief Keef released the highly-anticipated video for their collaboration “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad),” a standout track from Sexyy’s acclaimed Hood Hottest Princess (Deluxe) project. Known for her advocacy for her child’s father, Sexyy takes a new approach in this track, encouraging mothers everywhere to leave their “hating a**” baby daddies and enjoy themselves. Chief Keef mirrors Sexyy’s energy, expressing similar disdain for his baby mama.

Directed by NSTY, the video features Sexyy and Chief Keef heading to “The Corry Show,” a playful spin on the infamous Maury Povich show, to prove that Keef is her baby daddy.

The video also marks the beginning of Sexyy’s new era as the hood’s hottest presidential candidate. The intro shows Sexyy informing constituents of her #MakeAmericaSexyyAgain campaign platform, promising enticing policies like free food stamps.

Sexyy recently announced her upcoming “Sexyy Red 4 President Tour,” a 26-city tour with support from Hunxho, Loe Shimmy, BlakeIANA, and a surprise special guest. The tour continues Sexyy’s streak of buzzworthy performances at Governor’s Ball and Roots Picnic, along with upcoming international festival appearances at Wireless Festival, Rokslide, Rolling Loud Europe, and more.

The tour follows the release of Sexyy’s In Sexyy We Trust mixtape, the follow-up to her 2023 debut Hood Hottest Princess, which includes the Billboard top 20 hit “Get It Sexyy” and the top 50 love anthem “U My Everything” ft. Drake. If you’ve never been to a Sexyy Red show, it’s a must-add to your summer bucket list, with crowds expected to twerk on top of their seats to “SkeeYee” and “Get It Sexyy!”

Earlier this week, Chief Keef, Sexyy Red, and King Von’s sister Kayla B made one big love triangle.

Sexyy Red hit social media, seemingly confirming she was romantically involved with Chief Keef, showing off his chain, including putting it in her underwear. “We got together now,” she wrote, tagging Keef. Keef and Red have become frequent collaborators.

In response, Kayla shared images with Sosa, and kicking off the drama, which Red responded “How I taste?”

The two then shared images of moments with Chief Keef, seemingly right after each other as he was in the same clothes. Kayla B also shared intimate moments with Keef writing, “First one to get pregnant wins.”

Are Sexyy Red And Chief Keef Working On A Joint Album?

Sexyy Red and Chief Keef have shown great chemistry on their collaborations, which include Sexyy’s “F My Baby Dad” and Keef’s “Grape Trees.” In fact, their chemistry is so good that some fans interpreted selfies taken by Sexyy of the two to mean they’re dating (those photos ended up being used in the “F My Baby Dad” video).

While the two may not be an official couple, fans certainly want to hear more of them together — and there is good news on that front, as Sexyy teased the possibility of a joint album between them coming in the near future. While backstage at Wireless Festival in the UK, Sexyy was asked about this possible album, and she answered in the positive, “Yeah, we dropping an album soon… We be working.” She also gave an overview of the content fans can expect from it: “We just be on some money sh*t, some car sh*t, fast cars, f*ck these hoes, buy some clothes, and keep your hair done.”

A fondness for the above subjects isn’t the only thing they share in common, though. Both have seen recent troubles with their planned tours, with Keef postponing his tour the day of its launch for medical reasons and Sexyy insisting that her tour is being sabotaged by nefarious entities. Not for nothing, she said as much as Ticketmaster and Live Nation are being sued by the US Department of Justice for operating a monopoly over the touring space.

Hmmmmm. In any case, we certainly hope to hear more about this album, because it sounds like it’ll be a lot of fun.

Sexyy Red Claims She Has A Collab Album With Chief Keef On The Way

Sexyy Red is not slowing down. She’s become one of the hottest stars in hip-hop over the last few years. Part of the reason is her chemistry with established stars like Drake and Nicki Minaj. That being said, Red seems to have the most in common with Chief Keef. The two rappers linked up on the 2023 hit “Ghetto Princess,” and have gotten along famously ever since. Now, it seems, Red and Keef are capitalizing on their chemistry by recording an entire joint album.

Sexyy Red dropped the bombshell of an announcement during a recent interview at Wireless Festival. “That’s my boo,” she said, when asked about Chief Keef. “We droppin’ an album soon. Yeah, for sure. We be workin.” Red assured fans that she already has multiple records with Keef in the stash. When asked what she could say about the joint album, Red broke down what the overall vibe is going to be. “We just be on some money sh*t, some cars sh*t, f*ck these h*es, buy some clothes and keep your hair done,” she asserted.

Sexyy Red And Chief Keef Have Multiple Collabs

A joint album between Sexyy Red and Chief Keef has been a long time coming. The two have been in each other’s orbit for years, and even sparked dating rumors back in June. Kayla B, the sister of the late King Von, posted photos of herself kissing Keef. Sexyy Red responded by posting photos of herself in bed with the Chicago rapper’s jewelry. Despite the rumors, Red maintains that she and Keef have more of a sibling relationship. “Dis just my favorite brudda,” she wrote alongside photos of her and Keef on IG.

That being said, Sexyy Red led fans to question whether there was something more serious going on between her and Chief Keef. Lord Jamar recently went off on Red during an interview, claiming that she looked “icky and hot.” The St. Louis rapper clapped back at Jamar by writing “Ask @chieffkeeffsossa do I stink.” Regardless of what the situation is between the two rappers, their ability to make catchy songs is undeniable. They have four collabs under their belt, and it sounds like they’re going to have a lot more soon.

Chief Keef Postponed His ‘A Lil Tour’ Due To A Medical Emergency: ‘I Intend To Be Back On The Road Soon’

Chief Keef’s A Lil Tour has been postponed, just hours before it was meant to launch in Boston, Massachusetts. The Chicago rapper initially announced the tour back in May to accompany his new album, Almighty So 2, but a medical emergency has prompted him to suspend the tour in order to recover.

Live Nation issued the below statement from Chief Keef announcing the postponement:

“To my fans, I’m so sorry to announce this, but due to a medical emergency, I’ve been ordered to stay home to recover, so I have to postpone the tour. Those who bought tickets can opt for a refund or keep it for a future date. I intend to be back on the road soon. Thank you, I love y’all.”

The postponement will surely be a disappointment to fans looking forward to seeing Chief Keef hit stages across the US after his triumphant return to his hometown for Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash festival. The tour would have been part of a huge comeback for Keef, which not only included Almighty So 2 and its accompanying tour, but also saw him join the breakout star of the year, Sexyy Red, in the video for her new single, “F My Baby Dad.”

Sexyy Red & Chief Keef Have A Joint Album On The Way

Sexyy Red and Chief Keef are working on a joint album. The “SkeeYee” rapper shared the news in an interview with Viper magazine the Wireless Festival in London this past weekend. When asked if she and Keef are “love interests” or just “musical friends,” Sexxy called him “her boo.” She added that they were releasing an album soon “We’ve been working,” she said. She then confirmed that they already have several songs finished.

Sexyy Red and Chief Keef have done a few songs together already, coming together for several songs, including “Damn Shorty,” “Grape Trees” and “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad).” The latter track’s video also starred Keef as the father of Sexyy’s child in a skit parodying the Maury Show. The video was a source of controversy, as Sexyy was shown twerking on Keef in the video while pregnant.

Sexyy posted intimate photos of her and Keef on social media, although at the time, she insisted they were just friends. Shortly after, Sexyy and Keef were embroiled in a love triangle with the late King Von‘s sister Kayla B, which was sparked by Kayla taunting Sexyy with a picture of her kissing Keef. Sexyy later revealed that the whole saga was a promotional tactic. It worked, as people talked about it. The duo were also spotted at the BET Awards together earlier in July.

Sexyy Red and Chief Keef have both had good years. Sexyy released In Sexyy We Trust, her second album. Chief Keef released the long-awaited Almighty So 2 after a series of delays. The album has received praise from fans of Keef. Sexyy Red is due to go on tour beginning in August. However, rumors about low ticket sales have circulated, though she has denied those and plans to go on the road as scheduled. Considering Chief Keef’s history with releasing albums on schedule, it might be a while before this duo’s work comes out, but maybe he’ll make an exception for his new friend.

Sexyy Red & Chief Keef Hit The BET Awards Together After Kayla B Tweets About Sosa

Sexyy Red and Chief Keef sat right next to each other at the BET Awards, for which the former had a couple of performances to offer over the weekend. Moreover, this was a particularly interesting development for fans considering that Sexyy recently fought over Sosa with Kayla B, King Von’s sister who also claims to be in a close relationship with him. In fact, she tweeted about him right before the awards show: “[crying-laughing emoji] my man on his way 2 the B.E.T. awards looking like a Chicago rich [ninja emoji] [heart-eyes cat emoji] [crying emoji].” It seems like this whole saga might not be over yet, and we all might just be biting the bait.

Furthermore, a lot of folks assumed that this conflict between Sexyy Red, Kayla B, and Chief Keef was a promotional stunt for Sexyy and Keef’s new music video for “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad).” With this new development, this puts that interpretation under a bit more scrutiny, as it seems like they should’ve let it go already. Still, maybe there’s a delayed kick on this promo campaign for a close, or they got more than they bargained for. Nevertheless, it’s not like any party involved is claiming a really committed and exclusive thing… I mean, the two rappers are practically pretending to diss each other on “F My Baby Dad.”

Sexyy Red & Chief Keef Might’ve Unwittingly Trolled Kayla B’s Latest Tweet At BET Awards

No matter what’s going on with Sexyy Red, Chief Keef, and Kayla B, we’re sure that it’s all good news for all of their promo cycles and next moves. The St. Louis MC, for example, lit up the stage at the BET Awards last night with her main performance after doing so at their Experience showcase previously. A lot of this drama hasn’t stopped some fire singles and visuals from dropping; in fact, that’s what many think it’s for. Shocker…

Jokes aside, we’ll see whether any other big updates emerge from this saga. Sexyy Red, much like Chief Keef and Kayla B, has bigger fish to fry right now, most likely. At least legends like MC Lyte are there to defend her against her haters. Not that Sexyy needs it or anything, but if life is all about a balance, then this is a worthy counter to the prudes.

Chief Keef Essential Songs

Chief Keef emerged from Chicago’s South Side to become one of the most influential figures in modern hip-hop. His raw lyricism and distinctive delivery played a pivotal role in popularizing the drill music genre. Born Keith Cozart, the rapper’s work reflects the harsh realities of his upbringing and reshaped contemporary rap’s soundscape. Chief Keef’s breakout tracks have consistently showcased his unique ability to translate Chicago’s street life’s gritty, unfiltered essence into compelling music. This has also helped earn him a dedicated following and critical acclaim.

Further, Keef’s influence extends beyond his musical output, impacting fashion, slang, and the overall aesthetic of street culture. His rebellious persona and innovative style have earned him a place in the annals of hip-hop history. This exploration of five essential songs provides a deeper understanding of his artistic journey and the legacy he continues to build. By dissecting these tracks, we gain insight into the elements that define Chief Keef’s sound and his significant contribution to the genre.

1. “I Don’t Like” (2012)

“I Don’t Like,” released in 2012, is arguably the track that propelled Chief Keef to mainstream recognition. Produced by Young Chop, the song features a menacing beat paired with Keef’s straightforward and confrontational lyrics. The track quickly became an anthem, reflecting the frustration and defiance of youth in Chicago’s troubled neighborhoods. Its repetitive, hard-hitting chorus and raw delivery set it apart from the polished productions that dominated the charts at the time.

A high-profile remix featuring Kanye West, Pusha T, Jadakiss, and Big Sean amplified the song’s impact and further cemented its place. This remix not only brought more attention to Chief Keef and the Chicago drill scene but also showcased the growing influence of this new sound on established artists. “I Don’t Like” highlighted the stark realities of street life. It offered a gritty counterpoint to the mainstream hip-hop of its era and set the stage for Chief Keef’s continued influence in the industry.

2. “Love Sosa” (2012)

Another cornerstone of Chief Keef’s discography, “Love Sosa,” exemplifies his knack for creating catchy yet hard-hitting tracks. Released in 2012 as part of his debut studio album Finally Rich, the song’s melodic hooks and infectious energy quickly made it a fan favorite. The track opens with a memorable intro by fellow GBE member Lil Reese, setting the stage for Keef’s assertive verses. Its production, characterized by booming bass and eerie synths, perfectly complements Keef’s vocal style.

“Love Sosa” solidified Chief Keef’s reputation as a leading figure in the drill music movement. The song’s widespread appeal helped introduce Chicago’s streets’ raw and unfiltered sounds to a broader audience. Its influence extended beyond music, impacting fashion trends and street culture. With its blend of melodic elements and hard-hitting lyrics, “Love Sosa” remains a defining track in Chief Keef’s career.

3. “Hate Bein’ Sober” (2012)

Released as a single from his debut album Finally Rich, “Hate Bein’ Sober” captures Chief Keef’s unfiltered approach to music and life. The track features guest appearances from 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa, combining street credibility and mainstream appeal. The production, driven by infectious synth lines and heavy bass, creates an anthemic vibe that complements the song’s rebellious themes.

Despite the collaborative star power, Chief Keef’s presence remains the focal point, with his delivery and candid lyrics about the struggles and escapism associated with substance use. The song’s relatable themes also resonated with a wide audience. “Hate Bein’ Sober” highlights Keef’s influence on the drill scene and showcases his ability to cross over into mainstream success while maintaining his authentic voice.

4. “Faneto”

“Faneto” is one of Chief Keef’s most iconic tracks, despite not being attached to a major album release. The song, included in his mixtape Back From the Dead 2 (2014), quickly became an underground hit. Its minimalist production allows Keef’s aggressive delivery to take center stage. The lyrics, filled with braggadocio and defiance, reflect Keef’s unyielding persona and his dominance in the rap game.

The track’s impact extends beyond its initial release, becoming an anthem at concerts and social gatherings. “Faneto” is celebrated for its role in firming Chief Keef’s status as a pioneer of the drill movement. Its enduring popularity is a testament to Keef’s influence and the song’s ability to capture the essence of Chicago’s street culture. “Faneto” remains a powerful statement of independence and resilience.

5. “Citgo”

As one of the standout tracks from his debut mixtape Bang (2011), “Citgo” demonstrates Chief Keef’s early sound and raw potential. The song’s production, with its haunting melodies and heavy bass, creates a dark, immersive atmosphere that complements Keef’s gritty delivery. His lyrics paint a vivid picture of life in Chicago’s rough neighborhoods, highlighting the struggles and the defiance that define his music.

“Citgo” showcases Keef’s ability to blend introspection with street narratives, offering listeners a glimpse into his world. The track’s haunting beat and memorable hooks have made it a lasting favorite among fans, further establishing Keef’s reputation as a pioneer of the drill genre. Its influence can be seen in the work of many following artists, making “Citgo” a crucial piece of Keef’s musical legacy.
