Drake Includes Sperm Projection As Part Of His Tour Visuals

Drake is one of the biggest artists in the entire world. Overall, this has been true for quite some time now. You really cannot discredit anything that Drizzy has done in the sneaker world over the years. Overall, he is one of the GOATs, and that is something that will never change. Moreover, he is now on tour with 21 Savage. The It’s All A Blur tour is taking Drake all throughout North America. Last night, the first date was in Chicago, and it was a massive success.

As we reported earlier this morning, Drake blessed fans with a truly incredible setlist. He got to play the vast majority of his most important hits. From old albums to new bangers, Drizzy put on an incredible show for his fans. Additionally, he dropped some new merchandise for the tour that is definitely going to impress a whole lot of people. As for the tour’s visual components, well, one could say that Drake is doing something new and unique.

Drake Makes An Odd Choice

In the video clip up above, you can see Drake performing on a huge square stage in the middle of the arena floor. Furthermore, there are big projections above him. However, the one above is a bit explicit as it showcases a group of sperm swimming around. The rest of the visuals aren’t nearly as jarring. In the tweets down below, you can see how he had headlines going across the screen, while also having nightclub visuals at other points. Overall, it seemed like quite the experience for all those who went.

The tour will have another night in Chicago on Thursday. From there, you can expect the tour to head to cities like Detroit and Boston. This is going to be lots of fun, so strap in for the ride. Drake Teases “For All The Dogs” During First Tour Stop

Drake and 21 Savage are currently on tour together. Of course, the two started their tour off in Chicago last night, much to the delight of fans at the United Center. Overall, it was a very successful opening night as both artists played the hits. In fact, the entire setlist for the tour has been revealed online. Upon perusing it, you will immediately see that it is jam-packed with some truly amazing songs. Although, this is unsurprising given the artists that are involved here.

During the first night of the tour, some fans were expecting a surprise or at least some new information. Ultimately, this is due to the fact that Drake supposedly has a new album called For All The Dogs dropping soon. Although the details around the album are scarce, there has been this growing sense that the project is imminent. On Wednesday, Drizzy played into some of those rumors as he gave fans just a bit of insight into the album and its viability.

Drake Has New Music On The Way

“I have an album coming out soon for you all,” Drake told the crowd in Chicago. While he didn’t provide anyone with any exact release dates, he certainly made sure to let people know new music is on the way. Although some will remain skeptical, they shouldn’t. The artist has been dropping a lot of music since 2021, and it would not be a surprise to get yet another album. Hopefully, it comes out soon and while he is on tour. That would just add to his already incredible setlist.

Tonight, Drake will be performing again in Chicago. Over the weekend, he will take his talents to Detroit and then he goes up to Boston. Next weekend, Drake will be doing his first Canadian dates in Montreal. Unfortunately, 21 Savage will not be making an appearance, which means Drizzy is going solo. Let us know if you will be attending the tour, in the comments section.

O-Block’s Boss Top Sentenced To 5 Years

Boss Top, born Tyree Davis, has reportedly been sentenced for gun charges. According to legal documents posted by No Jumper, the Chicago-born artist has been sentenced to serve five years in prison. He’s reportedly charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. The circumstances surrounding his arrest are currently unclear. The legal documents suggest that he was admitted on Tuesday (June 27), of this week.

The rapper is known to have come from O-Block. O-Block is a block in Chicago widely accepted as the place drill rap originated. Others notable artists who come from O-Block include Lil Durk, Chief Keef, Fredo Santana, and more. King Von was also famously from O-Block. Boss Top is also known to have been affiliated with the late King Von, who died in 2020 following a shooting in Atlanta.

Boss Top’s Gun Charges

This is far from Boss Top’s first run-in with the law. Back in 2016, the rapper was accused of being involved in a home robbery. At the time, he was looking at home invasion and gun charges. He was also reportedly facing up to 45 years behind bars. In May of 2018, he was sentenced to six years in prison. In a 2021 interview with VladTV, the artist shared that he was held on a $1.5 million bond at the time. He also revealed that he had refused to cooperate with law enforcement throughout the case, explaining the hefty sentence he was facing.

Boss Top has also famously had beef with Chief Keef. Last year, he sent a message to NBA YoungBoy and DaBaby on social media for dropping music on the same day of King Von’s first posthumous release, What It Means To Be King. What It Means To Be King, along with Better Than You, were both set to drop on March 4, 2022. “King Von Better Than Both Of You Friday,” he wrote on Instagram, hinting at the title of NBA YoungBoy and DaBaby’s project. Later in 2022, Boss Top released At Yo Neck II, a 14-song mixtape featuring King Von, Lil Gotit, Doodie Lo, Fredo Bang, and more.

Saweetie Teases New Song With London On Da Track Production In Chicago

It’s been several years of EPs, singles, and other notable moments, yet there’s still no debut album from Saweetie. Of course, she’s spent plenty of time giving updates and timelines on when the album is coming, and why it’s taken so long to release. However, it seems like all of that might change this year after performances and new music teases, plus a couple of notable collaborations and last year’s EP, THE SINGLE LIFE. Recently, at Chicago’s Pride In The Park Festival, the Cali native teased a new track with production from acclaimer beatmaker London On Da Track. Moreover, it’s reportedly titled “Shot O’Clock” and hopefully drops very soon.

In terms of the beat, it’s a classic bounce for Saweetie, harkening to West Coast rhythms and chorus structures. There’s even a Spanish countdown that compliments the beat and melody quite well, on top of sampling Suzanne Vega and DNA’s “Tom’s Diner.” Lyrically, it’s just as boastful, confident, and club-ready as you expect a track from the 29-year-old to be. Her performance on it is sharp, focused, and filled with laidback energy.

Saweetie & London On Da Track’s Teased Song

However, a bigger story involving her recently actually involved another rapper allegedly throwing a diss her way. Moreover, the “ICY GIRL” seemed to catch a stray from Young Thug on the track “Want Me Dead” off his new album BUSINESS IS BUSINESS– or at least that’s what fans thought. “My n***a ain’t even tryna hit sweetie,” Thugger raps. He took to Twitter to clarify that he said “sweetie” and not “Saweetie.” Regardless, it still caused quite the stir online given the hype around the release and the apparent name-drop. Ultimately, Thug is such an expressive rapper that confusion around his bars is to be expected at this point.

Meanwhile, the Atlanta-based producer made a lot of headlines recently for his relationship with Shenseea. In fact, it crossed over into another news story. Summer Walker (his ex that beefed with him a lot online) gave her props for changing his ways. From the looks of it, he and Saweetie will go back to making headlines for their art very soon. On that note, log back into HNHH for the latest news and updates on these artists.

Lil Durk Pops Out At Morgan Wallen’s Chicago Show

While the rap community laments the lack of a No. 1 song or album this year from the genre, Morgan Wallen sits atop the mountain. Moreover, his “One Night at a Time” world tour has been very successful so far, reflecting his massive commercial run. Most recently and notably, the tour stopped by Chicago on Thursday night (June 22) at Wrigley Field, and the country star had a special surprise. “This is where I usually step off stage and take a little break, but I’ve got a good buddy in town… he is one of Chicago’s own,” he announced to fans. “Y’all make some noise for my brother Lil Durk!”

Of course, the two performed their latest collab “Stand By Me,” which appears on Smurk’s latest album Almost Healed. Fans were overjoyed, whether for Lil Durk’s appearance or for the hit track. What’s more is that Wallen appeared at Wrigley Field a second time before heading to his next stop in Michigan. Furthermore, the two previously collaborated on the MCs album 7220 on the track “Broadway Girls.”

However, that’s far from the most acclaimed feature on Almost Healed. In fact, there’s a clear winner that people haven’t stopped talking about. Recently, Lil Durk reflected on how it took him a while to land on the perfect record to collaborate with J. Cole on before finally finding “All My Life” off the album. “He went super cr*zy,” the 30-year-old said on The Nadeska Show. “It’s so cr*zy because we’d been talking for like, two years, and he’d always be like, ‘Send me a record.’ And I’m like, ‘I gotta find the right record.’ I’m glad I waited two years.

“In my eyes, he a legend,” he went on. “If you have a chance to do a song with a legend, it be like, will you send them something just to send it, just to say you got one, or you gone make it stick. So that’s why I never just sent him a record. Cause I’m like, ‘I want something that’s gon’ stick.’” For more on Lil Durk and Morgan Wallen, stay logged into HNHH.

14 Year Old Rapper Lil Tuda Shot & Killed In Chicago

A 14-year-old rapper who performs under the name Lil Tuda was shot and killed in Chicago over the weekend. He and another boy were both shot on Saturday with the other boy remaining in critical condition. According to HipHopDx Lil Tuda, whose real name is Timothy Lockhart was shot in the head at 4:45 p.m. and pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital shortly after. Community activist Andrew Holmes described the event as a tragedy, drawing particular note to the fact that it occurred over the Juneteenth weekend.

Holmes further called for Lil Tuda’s killers to be brought to justice. “Father’s Day, Juneteenth, celebrating for what? Until we can stop this gun violence, Black-on-Black crime, and get these individuals in custody, then talk to me. But, we got two babies, two babies here.” A tweet made later by the 16th And 17th District Chicago Police Scanner clarified some of Lil Tuda’s alleged gang affiliations. The tweet described him as “a self proclaimed rapper and member of the DMG (Dirty Money Gang), a set of Gangster Disciples and Black P Stones.”

Lil Tuda Killed Over The Weekend

Back in April another Chicago rapper, Lil Ronald was shot and killed. Ronald was also just 14 years old at the time of the shooting. Back in 2021, Chief Keef collaborator Edai was also shot and killed in Chicago. The city’s most high-profile case in recent years was that of FBG Duck. He was shopping in luxury stores when a group of men pulled up in two vehicles and shot at Duck and two other men.

Anytime a shooting happens in the drill scene fans are often reminded of Pop Smoke’s tragic slaying. Smoke was staying in a rented house in Hollywood Hills when multiple men broke into the house to commit a robbery. The incident turned deadly when the 20-year-old Pop Smoke was shot and ultimately declared dead. An outpouring of support and calls for stopping further gun violence in rap followed his tragic passing. What do you think of Lil Tuda’s tragic slaying over the weekend? Let us know in the comments below.

Who Is G Herbo?

While early drill proteges such as Chief Keef and King Louie are often accredited to the newfound popularity of the sub-genre, G Herbo was also doing his thing in the burgeoning wave of drill throughout Chicago. Through the natural osmosis of being around drill as a Chicago teen, his early projects in the forms of Welcome to Fazoland and Ballin’ Like I’m Kobe heavily implemented the sound. Similar to other MCs out of Chicago’s hip-hop scene, his sound was an enraged form of therapy to process the chaos around him. A teenage high-school dropout, he quickly became a local hero through pure skill that earned praise from Drake and Nicki Minaj. As producer DJ L put it with Complex, “Herb was rapping like a f**king 30-year-old at 15.”

However, G Herbo was never a drill purist at heart. Even his earliest works hinted at someone who wanted to rap over dustier, trap-infused beats. There was an early desire to distinguish himself from what his contemporaries were doing. “I didn’t want to be labeled a drill artist early on, to be honest,” Herbo explains to DJBooth. Rather than create tunnel vision drill music, he was implementing childhood influences from the likes of Lil Wayne. His pessimistic attitude on the drill label is understandable, considering that his music contains influences from many walks of hip-hop. With that all said, the beloved progenitor of drill music has grown to appreciate his influence on drill with time.

A Pioneer Of The Drill Scene

Now 27, G-Herbo’s impact on hip-hop isn’t best described in the context of metrics. However, the numbers are certainly there. His hallmark hit comes in the form of “PTSD”, which features Lil Uzi Vert, Juice WRLD, and Chance the Rapper. In addition, he recently released a track as a part of the Fast and Furious: The Fast Saga. However, G Herbo’s fans tend to find solace in his sound. His listeners share his pain regarding childhood trauma following them around throughout adulthood. He’s steadfast about his flaws, admitting that he’s struggled to detach from the street life that he grew up in.

G Herbo began to take his music career seriously around the age of 21, with debut studio album Humble Beast garnering him concrete attention throughout the music industry. Confessional bangers such as “Red Snow” and “Malcom” stood the under-spoken MC out from the field. In addition, he had his first son, Yosohn, at the age of 22. Expanding on this with Complex, he stated, “I’ve got an actual life that’s depending on me before he even knows what the world has to offer. He’s depending on me for everything.” By spending more time in the studio rather than in the streets, G Herbo’s career quickly began to reach US radio hip-hop stations. However, he did so by staying true to his message. He took the stairs to get to the top.

Herbo’s Aged As A Local Ambassador For Mental Health

Now approaching the decade mark into his career, G Herbo has remained as consistent as ever since his mainstream success. Back in April, he released Strictly 4 My Fans 2. Driven by an endless desire to financially take care of his family and friends, he’s painstakingly aware that he has no time to rest. However, he doesn’t review this reality with a sense of dread. The Chicago-raised G Herbo is just happy to have made it past the age of 25. Everything he does is with a sense of gratefulness, a perspective that comes from seeing those around him have their lives cut short. Back in January 2021, Lil Greg, a close friend of G Herbo’s who he considered a brother, was killed in a shooting in South Chicago.

Additionally known for live skill as a freestyler, G Herbo’s records consistently deliver a new side to him. 2019’s Swervo ditched the raw storytelling in favor of a groovy collection of party anthems. G-Herbo expressed an easygoing part of himself that isn’t necessarily humble or understated. However, 2020’s PTSD took a stark left turn from this persona, seeing G Herbo recruit a variety of Chicago MCs on vulnerable cuts such as “Gangstas Cry.” His 2021 project 25 highlights the good and bad of his personality, such as his run-ins with the law surrounding allegations of gun possession or domestic violence. At present, he’s in the midst of a federal fraud case. On the other hand, he also bought a Chicago elementary school, revamping its infrastructure to better fit the needs of aspiring creatives. He’s also been a constant ambassador for mental health in the area he grew up in.

Lil Durk Wants To Hold The “Largest Prayer In Chicago”

Lil Durk recently took to social media to reveal that he’d like to hold a massive prayer for Muslims in Chicago. He shared the news on his Instagram story today, writing, “I want to hold the biggest prayer in Chicago for Muslims that bring everybody together soon as pride to the side.” He also added that he’d like to squash “petty beef,” writing, “Then after get problems off my chest help the petty beef go away private location.”

Durk has been open about his religious beliefs in the past, revealing how crucial his religion was in helping him through hard times. Last month, he appeared on DJ Akademiks’ Off The Record podcast where he said “When I started getting more into my religion, and just like, talked to my pops while he was locked up, talked to my uncle and them,” he revealed, “They’re like ‘Man, we had the money, the fame and the cars, we had the city on lock, and we went to jail and got life. What you’re going through, we’ve been through. When you call, call and get to your pops, call and get to your unc. Let’s talk, let’s have a conversation. But I don’t want to hear no crying. I don’t want to hear no complaining, I don’t want to hear no ‘I can’t do this, I can’t do that.”

Lil Durk Wants To Squash The Beef

Lil Durk went on to state, “I’m telling you, like, that [prayer] rug is powerful.” “I lay the rug down, I pray- I cry on the rug, I cry while I’m praying, I cry during Ramadan. But guess what? India ain’t ever seen me cry. My daddy ain’t ever seen me cry. My momma ain’t ever seen me cry, you know what I’m saying? ‘Cause it’s only one person that can help the hurt, you know what I mean?” he continued. Lil Durk also recently inspired one of his super-fans to convert to Islam.

As for beef, Durk has recently accused Gunna of snitching on Young Thug during the YSL RICO trial. He also said, “If you a rat, you a rat. If you rewind this clip a little bit, I looked into the camera and told you, if you a rat, I f*cking hate you. Because I love Thug.”

Lil Durk Taps Alicia Keys For “Therapy Session/Pelle Coat” Music Video

It’s been a long time coming but Lil Durk is finally sliding through with his new album, Almost Healed at midnight (Friday, May 26th). The rapper ramped up the anticipation over the past few months with a handful of updates until finally releasing the first single off of the project, “All Of My Life” ft. J. Cole. As expected, the single shot high up the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release, tying Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later” as Durk’s highest-charting single. However, the project set the tone for what to expect from Almost Healed.

The tracklist for the project boasts an impressive number of features and producers. Features from Kodak Black and Future have us excited for what will be bound to be summer anthems but the inclusion of Alicia Keys certainly caught people off-guard. The singer appears on the project intro, “Therapy Session,” which Durk previewed this morning in the new video for “Pelle Coat” – the second single from the project ahead of its release.

Lil Durk’s “Therapy Session/Pelle Coat” Video Ft. Alicia Keys

The haunting visuals for his latest single open up with Alicia Keys’ intro as the role of his therapist. “It’s okay to express your vulnerabilities and emotions. This is a judgment-free zone and I encourage you to let your emotions out and express yourself freely,” she says after asking Durk about the passing of King Von and his brother, DThang. “Remember that you don’t have to go through this alone. I’m here to listen, you have the voice in this room. I wanna hear from Durk Banks.”

The video for “Pelle Coat” follows Durk through the streets of Chicago, highlighting his friends and landmarks in the city, such as a mural of King Von. The visuals follow Durk in the backseat of a Suburban before arriving at a Mosque where he prays alongside his father. The visuals perfectly accompany the introspective themes of the record and once again, showcase Durk’s maturity as an artist. Check out the music video above and sound off with your thoughts in the comment section below. Are you excited about Lil Durk’s new album Almost Healed?
