Kodak Black Thinks His Charity Event Was Canceled Over Donald Trump’s Win

Kodak Black has been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump for some time now. This doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, considering Trump commuted his prison sentence on his final day in office back in 2021. According to the rapper, however, this could be resulting in some negative consequences for him.

TMZ reports that Kodak’s West Palm Beach charity event was recently canceled abruptly, and he suspects it allegedly has something to do with Trump winning the election. Allegedly, he made a deal to host the event at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches over a month ago. Earlier this week, law enforcement and event organizers shut down the plan, citing security as a major concern. Bradford Cohen, Kodak Black’s lawyer, tells the outlet he thinks this is allegedly all political.

“It seems very convenient that they canceled the event the day after the election,” he explained. Cohen also alleged that event organizers are now in breach of contract. Reportedly, Kodak has already dished out roughly $200K for the event, coordinating security, medical services, and more. “All public events must be permitted by the City of West Palm Beach. As of this time, the City has not issued a permit for Kodak Black Day, and therefore the event is not currently authorized to be held,” general manager of CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches Mike Sophia told TMZ.

This wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity allegedly had their event shut down due to political reasons, however. Recently, Waka Flocka Flame also had a meet and greet in D.C. canceled following the election. What do you think of Kodak Black suspecting that Donald Trump winning the election allegedly led to his West Palm Beach charity event getting canceled? Do you think this is the case or not? Naomi Campbell Banned From Being Charity Trustee After Alleged Financial Misconduct

Naomi Campbell has been banned from being a trustee for the charity she founded almost 20 years ago, following a Charity Commission investigation that resulted in some shocking findings. According to The Guardian, Fashion for Relief allegedly only put a small fraction of the money it raised towards good causes, resulting in Campbell’s five-year disqualification. Allegedly, the probe revealed that the charity spent tens of thousands of pounds on things like flights, luxury hotel rooms, spa treatments, cigarettes, and more for Campbell.

Unauthorized consultancy payments were also allegedly made to one of the model’s fellow trustees, Bianka Hellmich. The UK’s Charity Commission released a statement on its findings today. “Fashion for Relief, which has been removed from the register of charities, was set up for the purpose of poverty relief and advancing health and education by making grants to charities or other organizations and by giving resources directly to those affected,” it reads in part.

UK Charity Commission Releases Report Showcasing Alleged Financial Mismanagement

“The inquiry saw no evidence that trustees had reviewed the charity’s operating model to ensure fundraising methods were in the charity’s best interest and costs were reasonable relative to income generated,” the report continues. Two other trustees were also banned. At the time of writing, Campbell has yet to comment on the situation publicly. This isn’t the first scandal she’s been involved in recently, however.

Earlier this month, she participated in the viral TikTok “demure” trend alongside celebrity stylist Law Roach. Their video prompted fans to speculate that they were shading Rihanna. Campbell and the songstress have a long history of not getting along. They recently went viral for an awkward encounter at New York Fashion Week, where Rihanna seemingly ignored Campbell. What do you think of Naomi Campbell being banned as a trustee for the charity she founded? Share your thoughts in the comments section down below and keep an eye on HNHH for more updates.

Gunna Comes Through With Massive Financial Relief For Atlanta Families

According to multiple reports, Gunna and the Black Music Action Coalition are going to be helping families in a big way. They are going to do so financially with a new monthly income program that will give 30 households $1,000 a month for an entire year. It’s being referred to as the Gunna x BMAC 30349 Guaranteed Income Program and it’s going to benefit residents of South Fulton, Georgia. It’s city that sits just below the major hub that is Atlanta. If you do the math, that’s $360,000 overall, which is just a super thoughtful and charitable donation from the One of Wun rapper.

Of course, the families looking to receive this helpful financial aid do need to qualify and the monthly stipends will roll out on October 1 and end that same day in 2025. What’s also cool about this is that the lucky winners will also get mentorship in music, film, fashion, and tech, all of which are some of the biggest industries in the world. Gunna says that goal for this movement is to “uplift my hometown, providing resources that could make a tangible difference”. If you are wanting to apply, you can click this link.

This is not the first time that Gunna has done something like this for his hometown. Back in 2017, he teamed up with a separate organization that goes by Goodr. They worked together to create a free in-school clothing and grocery store at his former middle school in College Park. If you don’t like Gunna as artist, you certainly cannot argue that he’s not a good ambassador for Georgia as a whole.

What are your thoughts on Gunna giving 30 families in Atlanta $1,000 per month for a year? Is this the most generous act you have seen from an artist this year? We would like to hear what you have to say, so leave your thoughts in the comments. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Gunna. Kanye West’s Sunday Service Stripped Of Charity Status Over Tax Issues

Kanye West has been through so many different eras that Sunday Service feels like decades ago. In truth, the rapper’s charity organization was launched in 2019. The organization was a catch all for the rapper during an explicitly Christian period in his life. He sought to incorporate his religion into his art and his music. As such, Sunday Service was given a tax exemption. The government decreed that it fell under the 501(c)(3) organization label, which means it promotes “religious, educational, or charitable” purpose. Unfortunately, this is no longer the case.

Kanye West’s Sunday Service was stripped of its charity status on May 14. The Sun reported that the IRS revoked the status on the grounds of improper tax filing. The organization failed to file a Form 990-series return or notice for “three consecutive years.” This will no doubt being a heartbreaking update for Kanye West, who claimed that spent $50 million of his own money on Sunday Service in 2020. The rapper was compelled to spread his Christian message, and thus paid to bring the Sunday Service Choir to join him at Coachella.

Kanye West Has Been Less Involved With Sunday Service

“I spent every dime that I have for marketing from Yeezy on Sunday Service,” he told Nick Cannon in 2020. “Every dollar I had. I spent $50 million last year on Sunday Service… The Yeezys, they were selling themselves. So instead of paying for ads, I invested it in the church. I invested in spreading [the] gospel. I invested in saying Jesus’ name on high.” Kanye West’s involvement with Sunday Service has withered in recent years, however. The rapper has returned to making secular music with his VULTURES series. He’s also sparked controversy due to a string of antisemitic comments.

Kanye West helped promote the Sunday Service Choir album Jesus Is Born in 2019. Since then, however, the choir and the organization writ large have been left to fend for themselves. A second release, Sample Sounds, was released in 2022 to minimal fanfare. Jason White, the man who co-founded Sunday Service with West, spoke to Broadway World about the release. Tellingly, he did not mention West’s name once, despite their previous musical collaborations. “We’re really, really excited,” White stated. “To see how [the release] will spark creativity in so many different artists and producers.”

300 Ent. & Malbon Threw The World’s Coolest Golf Tournament For A Great Cause

The cross-section of hip-hop and the game of golf is expanding significantly. Artists like Schoolboy Q and Tyler the Creator can be seen hitting the links or embracing the lifestyle, and let’s face it — that alone makes golf cooler than ever. Utilizing that newfound cool factor for a great cause that helps musical artists means uniting two worlds that often seem at odds.

Enter 300 Entertainment and Malbon. No brand on Earth exists at the nexus of club-and-ball culture and hip-hop’s stylish, forward-thinking ethos like Malbon, and they recently had a chance to flex those bonafides at the 3rd annual 300 Entertainment x Malbon Golf Tournament, which took place last week at New Jersey’s Alpine Country Club.

Respective Collective

300 Entertainment is the mega-successful label behind artists like Fetty Wap, Gunna, Hunxho, and Young Thug. That success, of course, starts at the top with their co-founder and CEO, Kevin Liles. Along with the golf apparel’s founder, Stephen Malbon, Liles delivered opening and closing remarks and hosted the star-studded affair, which saw celebrities like Anthony Anderson, Jim Jones, and Ja Rule teeing up alongside NBA Champion J.R. Smith and World Series Champion CC Sabathia.

Respective Collective

The tournament, a four-person-per-team scramble, was not just a game but a platform to support a significant cause. It was organized to benefit the Protect Black Art charity, which champions nationwide legislation defending creative freedom and expression. This cause holds a special place for the 300 Entertainment family, given the highly publicized RICO case against Young Thug, where his song lyrics have been frequently cited in court as he seeks to defend his innocence.

The partnership between Malbon and 300 is a powerful testament to their joint effort to protect First Amendment freedoms and ensure all artists have equal rights under the law.

Respective Collective

The event also featured a 4:20 friendly installation hosted by Weed Maps, whiskey and refreshments provided by Bushmills, and additional sponsored support from Sprayground, Lexus, and JBL Audio. To cap off the proceedings, guests were treated to an exclusive performance by 300 breakout group WanMor during the award ceremony and closing reception. Ultimately, these efforts will help integrate hip-hop into country club culture, making it a cool, cutting-edge creative endeavor. But the larger fight for artists’ protection isn’t as simple as a hole-in-one.

Respective Collective

With 300 Entertainment and Malbon giving voice to concerns that affect artists around the country and doing so in style, they’re helping to push the cultural conversation forward and create tangible change. By uniting hip-hop royalty and the innovative minds behind Malbon, both brands stand to amplify key voices and leverage their shared audience to raise awareness for an important cause and come together to help shape the future. Hopefully, with continued efforts like this, the protection of black art will become par for the course.

Earthgang have been in operation as a rap duo for quite a while now and their reach is impressive. The Dreamville duo have worked repeatedly with label mates like J. Cole and JID while also collaborating with artists like Future and Young Thug. Their last studio album GHETTO GODS dropped in 2022 and saw the pair getting introspective and sharing intimate details on their lives. Kevin Gates Rants About Homeless Woman Not Eating Chick-Fil-A Sandwich: Watch

Earlier this week, Kevin Gates’ took to social media to air his frustrations with a homeless woman he ran into on the road. In a clip taken from his Instagram Story, the Louisiana-born performer explains that the woman was holding a sign asking for food, so he decided to order an extra sandwich at Chick-fil-A for her. Upon giving it to the woman, however, she didn’t eat it. Instead, she put it in her bag, leaving Gates annoyed.

“This kinda s**t piss me the f**k off,” he said of the incident. “I had got two sandwiches from Chick-fil-A., I gave this lady one of my sandwiches, right… I reach her this Chick-fil-A sandwich out the window, right. This muthaf**kin b***h done put my Chick-fil-A sandwich in her book sack and put the sign back up there.”

Kevin Gates Thinks Woman Should Have “Ate That B***h Right There”

While it’s certainly possible that the woman was just saving the sandwich for later, Gates didn’t stop there. He went on to suggest that she should have eaten it right in front of him, based on what her sign said. “Now, I thought you said you was hungry, you will work for food,” he explained, looking visibly irritated. “You shoulda ate that b***h right there, you so f**king hungry.”

While it’s unclear exactly what’s got Gates’ in such a bad mood, it’s possible that it could have something to do with all of the online clowning he’s been a victim of as of late. Earlier this month, for example, he debuted a bold Cuban link headband, which raised some eyebrows among social media users, who continue to question his sense of style. What do you think of Kevin Gates getting mad at a homeless woman for not eating the sandwich he gave her? Does he have a right to be upset, or is he just overreacting? Will And Jada Smith Family Foundation To Close Following Post-Oscars Slap Revenue Decline

The aftermath of the infamous Oscars slap involving Will Smith has taken an unexpected turn for the power couple, as reports emerge of their family foundation’s imminent closure. According to a recent report by Variety, tax filings reveal a significant decline in revenue and donations for the Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation following the highly publicized incident. Despite indications that the foundation’s shutdown was in motion before the 2022 Oscars event, the decline in financial support appears to have accelerated the decision.

In 2020, the foundation boasted a substantial revenue of $1.7 million, followed by an even higher figure of $2.1 million in 2021. However, the numbers plummeted dramatically in 2022, with reported revenue dwindling to a mere $366,000. This stark decline speaks to the the impact of the controversy surrounding Will Smith’s on-air altercation with comedian Chris Rock during the 94th Annual Academy Awards. Sources close to the couple disclosed to Variety that the decision to wind down the foundation had been in the works prior to the Oscars incident.

The Smiths are now redirecting their focus towards private philanthropy, opting to contribute to charitable causes directly rather than through a formal foundation structure. The shift in approach aligns with their desire to maintain their commitment to philanthropy while adapting to changing circumstances. Signs of the foundation’s downsizing were evident even before the Oscars controversy. In 2021, the organization reduced payments to its only two staff members, and by 2022, there were no paid staff members remaining within the organization. Despite these internal adjustments, the foundation’s closure marks the end of an era for the Smith family’s philanthropic endeavors.

In the wake of the Oscars incident, Will Smith faced widespread criticism before issuing a public apology and stepping away from the spotlight temporarily. However, the actor has since returned with a new project, recently unveiling the trailer for the highly anticipated film Bad Boys 4 alongside co-star Martin Lawrence. As the Smiths navigate the aftermath of the controversy, the closure of their foundation marks a significant transition in their philanthropic efforts, highlighting their ongoing commitment to making a positive impact on the world, albeit through alternative means.

Young Thug Gives Back From Behind Bars, Sponsors Christmas Toy Drive

Young Thug is currently wrapped up in quite a bit of legal drama. He hasn’t let that stop him from giving back this holiday season, however. Recently, the embattled rapper joined forces with Peewee Roscoe and the Nexus Church to launch a Christmas toy drive. The event was hosted at Atlanta’s Trap Music Museum on Wednesday (December 20). Earlier this week, Cardi B attended a similar drive hosted by the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. The “Bodak Yellow” performer appeared to be in good spirits, posing for photos with fans despite her recent public split from Offset.
