Kevin Gates Rants About Homeless Woman Not Eating Chick-Fil-A Sandwich: Watch

Earlier this week, Kevin Gates’ took to social media to air his frustrations with a homeless woman he ran into on the road. In a clip taken from his Instagram Story, the Louisiana-born performer explains that the woman was holding a sign asking for food, so he decided to order an extra sandwich at Chick-fil-A for her. Upon giving it to the woman, however, she didn’t eat it. Instead, she put it in her bag, leaving Gates annoyed.

“This kinda s**t piss me the f**k off,” he said of the incident. “I had got two sandwiches from Chick-fil-A., I gave this lady one of my sandwiches, right… I reach her this Chick-fil-A sandwich out the window, right. This muthaf**kin b***h done put my Chick-fil-A sandwich in her book sack and put the sign back up there.”

Kevin Gates Thinks Woman Should Have “Ate That B***h Right There”

While it’s certainly possible that the woman was just saving the sandwich for later, Gates didn’t stop there. He went on to suggest that she should have eaten it right in front of him, based on what her sign said. “Now, I thought you said you was hungry, you will work for food,” he explained, looking visibly irritated. “You shoulda ate that b***h right there, you so f**king hungry.”

While it’s unclear exactly what’s got Gates’ in such a bad mood, it’s possible that it could have something to do with all of the online clowning he’s been a victim of as of late. Earlier this month, for example, he debuted a bold Cuban link headband, which raised some eyebrows among social media users, who continue to question his sense of style. What do you think of Kevin Gates getting mad at a homeless woman for not eating the sandwich he gave her? Does he have a right to be upset, or is he just overreacting? Beyonce And Kelly Rowland Join Forces To Help The Unhoused

Beyonce and Kelly Rowland are reportedly teaming up in the fight against homelessness. According to reports, the former Destiny’s Child performers are working alongside Harris County officials to create over 30 permanent housing units in the Midtown neighborhood of Houston, TX. County leaders plan on using $7.2 million in funding from the American Rescue Plan to develop the housing complex. The housing complex is set to be built at the Bread of Life gymnasium at 2019 Crawford Street.

Judge Lina Hidalgo spoke on the project earlier this week at a press conference. “Harris County and the city of Houston, jointly with the coalition for the homeless, have reduced homelessness in the middle of the pandemic by 20 percent, and we’ve been able to hold that reduction,” she explained. Hidalgo continued, “It’s initiatives like this one I certainly will be supportive of no matter who’s behind it, but it’s especially interesting, I think, because there are these names of Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, who, of course, have been supportive of the community for a very long time.”

The Project Will See An “Even Bigger Launch” In September

Hidalgo additionally claimed that the housing units would see an “even bigger launch” in September. Beyonce’s “RENAISSANCE” tour is scheduled to stop in Houston on September 23. Harris County records also reveal that residents of the new development will gain access to a slew of resources. Resources include “case managers, peer specialists, service specialists, and support services.” Services also include “transportation, mental health, physical and behavioral health support.”

Local pastor and executive director of Bread of Life, Rudy Rasmus, described himself as “grateful” for the upcoming development. He claims the collaboration was sparked by Destiny’s Child donating money from their 1998 hit, “No, No, No,” to build a youth center in Houston. Rasmus explained, “This will be our fifth housing development in downtown in Precinct 1 over these last 17 years.” He says that he’s “just really grateful to continue to help end homeless in our county.”

Kanye Is Working With The LA Mission To Help End The Homelessness Crisis

Kanye West has a new humanitarian project, and this one is a very noble cause. For a man who has been extremely obsessed with how his own houses look, it makes sense that eventually Kanye would consider the crisis of the unhoused as a serious concern. According to a report from TMZ, Kanye had a meeting with Reverend Troy Vaughn, CEO of LA Mission to talk about his ideas for supporting the community. Ye dropped by The Mission last week to donate 1,000 meals, and during that visit he sat down with Vaughn to outline his thoughts.

Kanye reportedly has a four-step plan for helping the unhoused, starting off with creating a network between all the organizations in the city that currently focus on feeding those in need. Next, he wants to use his Donda network of companies to help give access to education, jobs, and housing for those who are struggling. Next, he thinks that the weekly Sunday Service platform can be used to inspire and uplift –— which is actually a pretty good point because the mental/spiritual health of the unhoused is rarely discussed, if ever. Lastly, according to TMZ’s report Kanye wants to “partner with other groups tackling the crisis and combine their efforts with his ability to provide a bold and innovative vision for the future. Together, he believes they can eliminate the homeless situation.”

Listen, I’d take a solution for the homelessness crisis in LA over another Marilyn Manson collaboration any day, so Kudos to Yeezy for focusing on something that has a huge impact on the entire city. Check out some of his speech at the LA Mission below:
