Killer Mike has officially avoided catching any chargers for his viral arrest at the Grammy Awards, earlier this year. According to a new report from TMZ citing prosecutors within the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, Mike’s confrontation with a security guard will not lead to any further legal trouble. Police initially booked Mike for misdemeanor battery after knocking over a security guard who refused to let him into Crytpo.com Arena for the ceremony.
After a preliminary hearing, he agreed to complete community service with a non-profit organization of his choice leading to the city closing the case. They did ask he stay out of trouble for the next year otherwise they’ll revisit the situation.
Mike previously addressed the arrest during an appearance on The View in February. “Backstage was overcrowded, the winners were exuberant, and I think security got a little overzealous. It’s water under the bridge for me,” Mike said at the time. “All of my heroes have been in handcuffs — [Malcolm X, Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, Medgar Evers]. I walked out with the same dignity and respect that I walked in with, and I would implore people to just take that from it. Don’t dwell on the bad stuff.” Check out a clip from his arrest below.

The man was reportedly shot in the head and chest during a shooting at the intersection of 148th Street and Rockaway Boulevard in Springfield Gardens. Remy Ma Performs At Fat Joe & Friends Concert In NYC
Remy Ma previously spent time behind bars herself following a conviction on multiple charges, including assault and attempted coercion, in 2008. At the time, she served six years of an eight-year sentence in prison before getting out of Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women in 2014. During that time, she and her partner, Papoose, remained in a committed relationship. They married in 2016 and share one child together, who they welcomed in 2018. The rough news for Remy and her family comes after she celebrated her 44th birthday with an extravagant Cinderella-themed party, earlier this month. Fat Joe, French Montana, and Maino were all in attendance at the event.
In other legal news, singer Justin Timberlake was arrested for driving while intoxicated in the state of New York on early Tuesday morning as well. He was reportedly traveling after a dinner in the Hamptons at the American Hotel. He refused to take a breathalyzer test. Authorities have finally arrested Norfolk rapper 23 Brazy for allegedly killing a 10-year-old boy, after a 10-month search that concluded in Virginia on Tuesday. The U.S. Marshals Service was offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to her arrest.
Brazy stands accused of allegedly killing a 10-year-old boy and injuring a 37-year-old man in an August 2023 shooting in Franklin. Police claim Brazy and three other people went to the latter victim’s house on August 9, 2023, before the shooting broke out. They issued the warrant for her arrest for first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, two counts of shooting into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, threat to burn or damage a building, possession of firearm by convicted felon and discharge of a firearm in a public place.
Robert Bowers with the U.S Marshals Service detailed the arrest to News 3, revealing that they found Brazy at Brookside Square Apartments in Boykins where a relative was hiding her. “Her family member came out, and I heard Drayton’s voice from the top of the stairs saying she was coming out, and she came down the stairs and surrendered,” Bowers said. He also explained that the case was extra important considering the age of the victim. “On a case like this where a juvenile is involved, it means a little more and you put a little effort into it to give the family some closure,” Bowers said. He added: “It feels good. When we spoke last time I told you that the Marshals Service wouldn’t rest until Tashawnda Drayton is in custody and we meant it.”
Brazy isn’t the only artist to find themselves in legal trouble this week. In other news, singer Justin Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor, New York on Monday night for driving while intoxicated. Be on the lookout for further updates on 23 Brazy on HotNewHipHop.
Former NBA guard Delonte West was arrested and jailed in Virginia early Thursday morning on misdemeanor charges of violating the conditions of his release and resisting arrest, according ESPN. This incident adds another chapter to the troubled post-NBA life of West, who has publicly struggled with mental health and substance abuse issues. West, 40, is being held at the Fairfax County Detention Center on a $2,000 bond. He was scheduled for arraignment at 8:30 a.m. EST Friday morning. The arrest occurred after a pursuit in Groveton, Virginia, where police found West unresponsive and had to administer Narcan twice to revive him. Despite the challenges he has faced, West’s story remains one of resilience and the continuing efforts by friends and former colleagues to support him.
Fairfax County police spotted West around 1 a.m. in Groveton, Virginia, and sought to serve a warrant for his arrest. When the officers approached, a pursuit ensued, and they temporarily lost sight of West during the chase. Eventually, officers found him unresponsive. They administered Narcan, a medication used to counteract narcotic overdoses, but the initial dose did not revive him. West was then transported to a local hospital, where a second dose of Narcan was successfully administered. After his condition stabilized, he was released from the hospital and transported to the Fairfax County Detention Center.
West’s Legal Troubles
Delonte West faces misdemeanor charges of violating the conditions of his release and resisting arrest. The specifics of what conditions West violated have not been detailed, but these charges add to his history of legal and personal troubles. His arraignment is set for 8:30 a.m. EST on Friday, where further details are expected to be disclosed. West’s bail has been set at $2,000, and it remains to be seen how this latest incident will impact his ongoing struggles and legal standing.
West has been open about his diagnosis of bipolar disorder, which he discussed during his NBA career. This diagnosis, combined with his well-documented battles with substance abuse, has complicated his life post-basketball. In 2021, West received treatment at a drug rehabilitation therapy center in Florida and later worked at the facility. This was part of an effort by several individuals in the NBA community, including former Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, to help West regain stability in his life. Cuban’s intervention in 2020, where he personally picked West up from a gas station after photos of him panhandling in Dallas went viral, highlighted the ongoing support West has received.
NBA Career & Public Support
Delonte West had a respectable NBA career, averaging 9.7 points and 3.6 assists per game over eight seasons. He played for notable teams, including the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks. His last NBA season was with the Mavericks in 2011-12. Despite his professional success, West’s post-NBA life has been marred by personal challenges. The support from the basketball community, especially figures like Mark Cuban, underscores the efforts to help him navigate these difficulties. Cuban’s involvement has been particularly significant, as he has made multiple attempts to provide West with the resources needed to overcome his struggles.
Sean Kingston posted a $100,000 bond to walk out of jail in Broward County, Florida on Tuesday following last month’s arrest on various charges. CBS News Miami published footage of the singer departing the facility with a white t-shirt covering his face before quickly hopping in a vehicle outside. He stands accused of stealing money, jewelry, a Cadillac Escalade SUV, and furniture by allegedly defrauding multiple businesses. His charges include grand theft, fraud, criminal use of personal identification, and violation of probation for trafficking stolen property.
Kingston’s attorney, Bob Rosenblatt, says they plan to file a not-guilty plea and are “very confident” in a jury trial. “Well, I don’t know who is claiming they owe money. You know, we were aware of the watches, we are aware of the TV issue,” Rosenblatt stated. “If there are other issues I’m not sure about… It’s a breach of contract. There’s no fraud here. There’s no organized fraud at all.”
Sean Kingston Performs At Lovers & Friends Festival
Police arrested Kingston’s 61-year-old mother, Janice Turner, in the alleged scheme as well. They charged her with conducting an organized scheme to defraud, grand theft, identity theft, and related crimes. As caught by CBS, she previously pleaded guilty to bank fraud for stealing over $160,000 in 2006. She served over a year in prison at the time.
Amid news of the arrests, Kingston teamed up with NBA YoungBoy for the new single, “Why Oh Why.” He’s best known for his run of hits in the 2000s, with his iconic single, “Beautiful Girls”, peaking atop the Billboard Hot 100 in 2007. That same year, his eponymous debut album reached number six on the Billboard 200. Be on the lookout for further updates on Sean Kingston on HotNewHipHop.
Sean Kingston had his home in Florida raided last week and it subsequently led to the arrest of his mother. Moreover, Kingston was in California at the time, where he was eventually arrested. According to TMZ, he is going to be in a San Bernardino courtroom soon, where he will most likely be extradited back to California. As the outlet reports, his return to Florida will not be a walk in the park. This is because 10 serious charges will be awaiting him when he gets back.
Specifically, Kingston and his mother are being accused of an organized scheme in which they allegedly sought to defraud numerous companies. In terms of the companies they allegedly defrauded, there is a car dealership as well as a jeweler. In the case of the car dealership, a $160K Cadillac Escalade seems to be the main attraction. Meanwhile, the jeweler alleges that Kingston made off with a whopping $480K worth of merchandise.
Additionally, Kingston is currently facing charges for stealing a bed worth upwards of $86K. While his mom Janice Turner faces eight charges, Kingston is also looking at some charges involving alleged bad checks and bank defrauding. At this time, it is unknown what the potential consequences could be for all of these charges. As we reported previously, his mom posted bail. However, since Kingston needs to be extradited, he has remained in custody since last week.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport turned into a boxing ring a few nights ago, as Jim Jones two other men settled their differences. Punches were thrown on an escalator after deboarding and not much context was known at the time. All we were able to deduce was that the Harlem, New York rapper was “minding my business and defend[ing] myself.” However, over the following days, authorities were able to come to a conclusion about how to proceed. According to multiple sources, including AllHipHop, Jim Jones will not be facing any charges. The 47-year-old’s explanation that he provided to the police played a big role in helping him avoid any legal action.
Security footage also aided his case, as this brawl between the three gentlemen started while they were getting off the plane. Jones said it began when one of the assailants, James Dos Santos, pushed him after he removed his belongings from the overhead compartment before the plane stopped. The rapper reportedly told the cops that Dos Santos apologized after Jones gave him a fair warning about shoving him. That is seemingly when the second attacker, Alexander Lekht, got involved. He was shouting at Jones, presumably for how he handled Mr. Dos Santos.
It was not enough to get a reaction out of Jones, so Lekht continued to antagonize him up until they got on the same escalator. When they began their descent, that is when madness ensued. Lekht was the one who sustained the most battle scars, leaving to treat his bloody face at the hospital. Jones suffered some facial bruising, but nothing more. The 94-year-old man, James Jackson, who took a tumble after getting knocked down while the brawl was happening, is doing fine. He went to the hospital as well for leg pain. From what was revealed to us, it seems that neither Dos Santos, nor Lekht were hit with any charges. Finally, both men did not want to press charges against Jones.
What are your thoughts on Jim Jones not receiving any charges following the Miami airport brawl? Do you think he should have faced something, why or why not? Are you surprised that the men who started the fight did not get hit with anything? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Jim Jones. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.
NBA YoungBoy just received some more charges added to his fraud and gun possession case, which currently has him reportedly in federal custody without bail. Moreover, according to KUTV, he received another felony charge of firearm possession as a restricted individual, as well as two more counts of obtaining prescription drugs through fraudulent means. For those unaware, authorities arrested the Baton Rouge rapper in Utah earlier in April, and he received 63 initial charges related to an alleged fraud scheme in which he supposedly faked doctors’ prescription in order to obtain drugs. Given his previous legal circumstances regarding house arrest in Utah and the severity of these claims and of the arrest, it’s no surprise that he hasn’t addressed any of this in any significant capacity.
Furthermore, YoungBoy will reportedly await the outcome of this, and of his previous gun possession charge in Louisiana, in his hometown of Baton Rouge. Police reportedly sent him back there after this recent arrest, which will surely impact his previous open case in some way or another. However, it’s unclear what the overlap could be between these circumstances, and whether it would be possible to pursue just one before getting into another. Either way, it seems like a very difficult uphill battle, and one that might determine the next few years of this career trajectory.
YoungBoy Reportedly Hit With More Charges Of Fraud & Gun Possession
Elsewhere, apparently this is what tipped off pharmacists and police about YoungBoy’s alleged crimes, including him and (supposedly) members of his crew impersonating doctors like one Gwendolyn Cox. “‘Gwendolyn’ sounded as though she was a much younger male from the Southern states,” a probable cause affidavit from Cache County read. “Gwendolyn made a statement. ‘Well, I axed her to and she said that she’ll have you call me.’ This statement was a response to a request that was made to have ‘Gwendolyn’ contact Dispatch and have them transfer her call back through. … (I have) lived in the Southern United States. The terminology in replacing the word ‘ask’ with ‘ax’ or other variations is consistent with a Southern dialect in states such as Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and other southern states.”
“Usually, you don’t get a doctor calling in a cough syrup themselves,” pharmacist Erik Stewart told KUTV of a call from a number that didn’t match with the registered doctor’s office. “That’ll be, like, a nurse or something. But then, just their medical terminology was off [on] the quantities,” he told KUTV. “The way they pronounced the things… everything was suspicious.” For more news and updates on the YoungBoy case, keep checking in with HNHH.
As folks continue to react to NBA YoungBoy’s recent arrest in Utah on multiple charges, it looks like this case is getting much more complicated and serious. For those unaware, news of his Tuesday (April 16) arrest relayed charges of “patterns of unlawful activity, procuring or attempting to procure drugs, identity fraud, forgery, possession of controlled substances, and possession of a dangerous weapon.” According to a Wednesday (April 17) report from KUTV, the Baton Rouge native got hit with 63 total charges encompassing his alleged furthering of prescription drug fraud scheme. Police accuse him of participating in a plot that called in prescriptions with real medics’ names, but fake patient names.
This news after YB’s mugshot emerged online, and police continued their claim by alleging that his crew would pick these drugs up from local pharmacies. Specifically, he faces 20 counts of identity fraud, 20 counts of obtaining a prescription under false pretenses, and 20 counts of forgery. Also, YoungBoy faces one count each of the following charges: possession of a dangerous weapon by a restricted person, continuing a pattern of illegal activity, and possession of a controlled substance. Overall, it seems to be a wide-ranging case, and these alleged actions constitute multiple crimes that pose a serious threat to his future.
NBA YoungBoy’s Arrest: Initial Report On The Matter
Furthermore, YoungBoy was arrested at his home in Utah following a police raid, the property on which he’s been on house arrest since 2022, awaiting a federal gun trial in Louisiana. During this raid, law enforcement reportedly seized multiple prescription pills, weapons, and electronic devices after they issued a search warrant. While there’s not much else we know about this case at press time following these 63 charges, we’ve rounded up what’s available here. Hopefully this situation becomes a bit clearer with time, although we can’t imagine it’ll get any easier for the 24-year-old.
Meanwhile, this follows some recent beef with Finesse2tymes, the last big headline before this arrest took them over in regards to him. What do you think about this whole case, and do you think that there’s a way out? Whatever the case, let us know down in the comments section below.
