Sexyy Red Tells Theo Von About The Watch Drake Bought Her

Drake has been gifting generously all summer throughout his “It’s All A Blur” tour. Last month he surprised one of the breakout rap stars of 2023. He hooked Sexyy Red up with a diamond Cartier watch that has fans online drooling. “Thank you Drakeeeeeeee ice me df out den big boss sht I appreciate dat big dawg,” Red said in the caption of an Instagram post showing it off. While many fans saw it as some kind of romantic gesture, especially after Drake called Red his “rightful wife” earlier this year, that doesn’t appear to be the case. In a recent interview, Red revealed that none of the rappers she’s met so far have made any moves on her romantically.

During another new interview, this time with Theo Von, she shows off the watch even more. In the clip, they both absolutely gush over how uniquely indulgent the piece is. Fans in the comments of a repost of the clip make pretty similar jokes as almost any video including Sexyy Red. “Theo Von interviewing Young Thug something I wasn’t expectin,” the top comment reads. It’s yet another reference to how many people think Thugger and Red look a lot alike. Others made similar jokes like “Drake missing thugga.” One commenter turned it on its head, comparing Theo to recent Hot 100 sensation and breakout star Peso Pluma. “For a quick second, I thought Sexy was getting interviewed by Peso Pluma,” his comment read. Sexyy Red Showing Off Drake Gift

Sexyy Red has been releasing pretty prolifically recently. She’s dropped a string of new singles in the past few months following her debut album Hood Hottest Princess earlier this year. She’s still getting traction out of the record as well dropping a remix of one of its deep cuts with Lil Durk last month.

Drake showed his appreciation for Sexyy Red by gifting the 25-year-old rapper a diamond Cartier watch. Sexxy Red shared the timepiece with her followers on Instagram, over the weekend, labeling Drake’s move “big boss shit.”

“Thank you Drakeeeeeeee ice me df out den big boss sht I appreciate dat big dawg,” she captioned a series of photos and videos of the gift. Fans in the comments theorized that Drake wants something from Sexyy in return. “Lmfao Drake tryna be your next bd,” one wrote. Another added: “N***a want something in return.”

The gift comes after Drake invited Sexyy to join him on the It’s All A Blur tour, earlier this year. The two met after one of the tour stops in Brooklyn in July, with the Toronto rapper labeling Sexyy his “rightful wife” in a social media post afterward. During Rolling Loud Miami, Sexyy teased having a song in the works with Drake. “We got a song coming out,” she said after joking about the two being in a romantic relationship. “I did some lil’ shit on his song. He sent me a beat, and I had rapped for him or whatever. He was fuckin’ with it, so we gon’ see if he drop that b. I don’t know. He just fuck with me. I don’t know what he gon’ do. LaMelo Ball Ruins A Perfectly Good Watch

LaMelo Ball played just 36 games in the 2022/23 season. After suffering a number of ankle and shoulder injuries through the first months of the season, Ball was sidelined by an ankle fracture in February. It was part of a massive drop-off for the Hornets, who went from winning 43 games in 2021/22 to just 25 in 2022/23. In his 36 games, Ball averaged 23.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 8.4 assists. However, the Hornets still went 13-23 during his 36 games.

Ball’s name is now becoming commonplace among trade rumors as, despite his injury history, the #3 pick in the 2020 Draft could still find a bright future in the NBA. Meanwhile, the Hornets could probably still net a decent package for Ball if they wanted to completely tank. However, Ball was gone viral for another reason in recent days.

LaMelo turned a perfect good Cartier watch into a monstrosity. The watch is completely encrusted and looks a little like a sea mine, with a lot of random spikes and nodes. It’s ugly, impractical, and the only purpose it really serves is as a cry for help from a financial advisor. “LaMelo is a jewelers’ dream: Bad taste and deep pockets,” one Twitter user commented. No word on who customized the watch, but there’s every chance that they don’t want their name on this one.

Elsewhere, the watch has drawn comparisons to a number of pop culture icons. There are a lot of people calling it a “Bowser” watch, referencing Mario’s arch-enemy. Elsewhere, social media personality Ladidai noted it the piece should have been “King Triton’s watch in The Little Mermaid“. It does have that barnacled look that we all know is very much in vogue right now. It’s unknown how much Ball’s watch cost. Rihanna’s Met Gala Fitting Involved $25M In Cartier Jewels, Sources Say

The Met Gala has been taking place for decades now. Still, in recent years, a handful of regular attendees have become known as the best-dressed among the rest. Within the group, you’ll find names like Blake Lively (who’s confirmed to be staying home this year), as well as Zendaya. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and of course, Rihanna are also on the list. The Bad Gal’s first time attending the New York event was way back in 2007. However, her looks from years like 2015 (designed by Guo Pei) and 2018 (from John Galliano) are far more memorable.

Seeing as she skipped out on the 2022 Met Gala, many were unsure if we’d see Rihanna walk the red carpet – especially now that she’s expecting her second child with A$AP Rocky. Thankfully, she confirmed in a very bold way on Saturday (April 28) that we’ll be seeing her. She’ll likely be in Chanel at tonight’s function, which is paying tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld. At the time, she stepped out for dinner in a vintage look from the French brand’s F/W 1994 collection. It came complete with monogrammed sunglasses and a larger-than-life black and white fuzzy hat.

“Not even Monday,” the 35-year-old wrote in the caption of her latest Instagram post, hinting that her next fashion moment could be even wilder. According to Page Six sources, it may be far more sparkly too. Rihanna is rumoured to have played around with $25 million worth of Cartier jewels during her 3 AM fitting. It remains unclear at this time if she’ll be wearing just the diamonds – which certainly wouldn’t be surprising knowing her sultry style choices – or if they’re simply to accessorize whatever else she’s put together from the archives. Regardless, we’re beyond eager to see how she, and her budding baby bump, look in the coming hours.

Rihanna will certainly be in good company. Both Ice Spice and Kim Kardashian have already made it clear that they’ll be stepping out in their best-dressed too. The latter was seen exploring the city with her eldest daughter, North West, causing some to speculate that the 9-year-old may make her debut along with the “Princess Diana” hitmaker.
