On May 21, often-controversial conservative commentator Candace Owens tweeted, “Ban pornography. It is a psychological weapon intended to weaken our men.” Given that seven of April’s 50 most-visited websites are adult destinations, though, that’s a take that’s sure to spark backlash. Cardi B, for one, didn’t agree.
In the comments of an Instagram post sharing Owens’ tweets (more on the rest of them in a second), Cardi wrote (via TMZ), “Ommmggg why yall so against porn ? Is it that bad for yall ? I enjoy it but I don’t know I guess is like a 6 time a year thing .I personally don’t feel no connection or addiction to it just a little quick one two ….NOTHING LIKE REAL INTIMACY!”
In another comment, she added, “How ? It should actually teach men how to please a woman.”
Meanwhile, in a follow-up tweet, Owens added, “Pornography was created as a tool of enslavement, not freedom. It was created by the most depraved among our human race to psychologcally introduce homosexuality, pedophilia and incest–religious sacraments to satanists
BAN IT & stigmatize every person who defends or profits from it.” She wrote in another, “I also want to say to the men that struggle with pornography– you were the intended victims of it. Don’t feel ashamed talking about it. Knowing that it’s wrong is a great first step.”
While it may not be surprising that Cardi and Owens don’t agree on this issue, what might be a bigger shock is that they’ve been on the same side before.
Find Owens’ tweets below.

Megan Thee Stallion’s tour is attracting quite a bit of attention from fans. Initially that came from a debate about whether or not she was a stadium caliber artist. The discussion sparked when she first announced the tour but didn’t last very long once tickets went on sale. She almost immediately sold out more than a dozen of the stadiums on her tour before the first date even got under way. But that hasn’t stopped haters, predominately Nicki Minaj fans, from trying to criticize her.
Megan began the year dropping the song “HISS” which featured a viral shot at Nicki’s husband and his criminal history. Minaj eventually responded with her song “Big Foot,” though it became one of the most maligned diss tracks in rap history. But that hasn’t slowed down Minaj’s fans the Barbz from trying to take Megan to task. They’ve tried to make accusations of seat filling at her shows and shared videos attempting to compare it to Nicki’s own “Pink Friday 2” tour. But recently after a pair of sold out shows in New York City Megan showed how little any of it is getting to her. Check out some videos taken of her afterwards below.
After the show, Megan was filmed partying with 41. They’re a Brooklyn rap collective who broke out last year largely behind the success of their song “Bent.” That came juts hours after she was joined on stage by an even bigger star, Cardi B. Cardi joined Megan and GloRilla for a performance on stage. While there the trio teased an upcoming remix of Glo and Meg’s collaboration “Wanna Be” which dropped on Glo’s new album last month.
What do you think of Megan Thee Stallion partying with 41 in New York after her recent tour stops? Do you plan on seeing her at any of the shows on her Hot Girl Summer tour this year? Let us know in the comment section below.

In April 2018, Cardi B burst onto the rap scene with her debut album, Invasion of Privacy. The record-breaking, Grammy-winning project turned Cardi B into a household name. From the chart-topping “Bodak Yellow,” to the club anthem “I Like It,” the industry welcomed a fresh new femcee onto the scene. However, six years down the line, and Cardi is yet to make a second attempt to recreate, or surpass the magic of Invasion of Privacy.
She hasn’t been idle though. Cardi B’s presence has continued to be felt in the years since her debut album. Guest appearances, hot summer singles, and million-dollar ads have kept her in the spotlight. However, the fans are aching for a new body of work. Especially since the rapper has teased a follow-up for some time now. She recently announced that the album will no longer arrive in 2024, but her label, Atlantic Records, thinks otherwise. In the meantime, all we can do is wait and reminisce about all the times we’ve come close to tasting a new project from Cardi.
In April 2020, on the anniversary of her debut album, Cardi B promised to release the sequel to Invasion of Privacy. “Happy Birthday Miss INVASION OF PRIVACY,” she wrote. “My first baby, “Im workin on her sister so I can birth her this year.” With this news, fans felt rest assured that new material was on the way.
On August 7 of the same year, Cardi released “WAP.” The chart-topping, controversial single featured Megan Thee Stallion, and gained massive airplay. “WAP” was expected to be the lead single off Cardi B’s upcoming second studio album. While discussing the success of the single with Angie Martinez, she discussed the likelihood of a sophomore album dropping. “I’m already plotting my next move,” she said. “I don’t have my album ready yet. But even when I feel I have my album ready, I’m still debating when I should put out an album too.”
2021: Cardi Goes Live
In April 2021, Cardi welcomed her second child with Offset. Although she still performed while heavily pregnant, fans understandably believed she would take some time off after giving birth. By December, on an Instagram Live session, Cardi B announced that her sophomore album was set to drop in 2022. This sparked widespread excitement from her fans. She blamed the pandemic for slowing down her album plans. “I want to do real f**kin’ interviews. I want to see people and sit down,” she said. Cardi also shared that she wanted to tour, as well as “go to the club and shake my a** to my own music.”
On June 21, 2022, Cardi B released a career-spanning video compilation of her hits and implicitly teased her upcoming album. She captioned the video: “Just a little reminder feeling like 2020 when I had to come out and STEP to remind them. P.S-IM GONNA STOMP THIS TIME AROUND.” On July 12, Cardi was on the cover of Vogue Singapore and hinted at a 2022 release for her sophomore album.
Throughout 2023, Cardi B released strategic singles. This included another collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “Bongos.” As with every drop, fans were on their toes, hoping that an album announcement was on the way. In January, Cardi B stirred excitement among fans with an Instagram post that led to speculation about her new album. This came after fans noticed she followed a new Instagram account, @albumcb2, which reposted a picture of Cardi in the studio. Later in May, in an interview with Rolling Stone, she promised fans a lot to look forward to in the summer. Moreover, during an interview with The Breakfast Club, Cardi B revealed her plans to release her album in early 2024 and go into tour mode immediately after. She also mentioned that she had been hard at work in the studio, and making final touches to her music.
Q1 2024: This Could Be The Year
2024 has come around, and Cardi B is still setting the stage for her upcoming album. She posted a video on Instagram showing a folder of unreleased songs on a laptop. The latest of these videos was recorded in January 2023. She also shared that she’d been dealing with the pressure to release new music. However, she has promised fans that this will be the year. “I promise y’all this year, I’m not letting my anxiety, I’m not letting what haters say, I’m not letting what fans say [stop me]. If I do a song, I’m gonna just f—ing drop it.”
She subsequently dropped the singles: “Enough (Miami)” and “Like What (Freestyle).” This further fueled speculation about the album’s imminent release. “Enough(Miami)” would go on to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, the music video for “Like What,” directed by Offset, teased fans with the message: “this is just the beginning… stay tuned.”
Q2 2024: Cardi Vs. Atlantic Records
April 6, 2024 marked the sixth anniversary of Invasion Of Privacy. Much to the delight of her fans, Cardi B confirmed via Instagram Story that her sophomore album will be released in 2024. She also expressed her excitement for the project. Since the news dropped, she began to engage with her fans on social media platforms especially X (Twitter), sharing updates and snippets of her work. However, on May 14th, she announced her decision to make a change of plans in a series of exchanges with some fans online.
After getting called out for the buildup over the years, Cardi revealed that the album would not be released in 2024 as she stated earlier. Instead, she announced that she was opting to focus on her well-being and other commitments. “anyway NO album this year I don’t care I’m relaxing this year,” she tweeted. “Dropping these features I already committed to and traveling and enjoying my summer.” This decision to delay the album’s release was met with equal parts disappointment and understanding from her fans.
On May 16, just two days later, the narrative changed once again. Despite Cardi B’s previous statements, her label, Atlantic Records, jokingly teased that the album is still set to drop before the end of the year. “Cardi B’s upcoming album is one of the most anticipated this year. We can’t wait to put it out, even if we have to sneak into her studio and take it!” Now it’s just a matter of time before we know who to believe.
Cardi B caught fans by surprise at Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour on Tuesday night (May 21), joining the Houston rapper in her headlining debut at Madison Square Garden.
Check out the images below …
The sold-out crowd erupted as Cardi, donning a black corset and thigh-high leather boots, took the stage. Despite some audio issues, she delivered powerful performances of her chart-topping hits “WAP” and “Bongos” alongside Megan. And from the looks of them together, they probably turned the temperature up in the building by about 100 degrees, at least.
Cardi then shifted to her popular “Tomorrow 2” remix, bringing opener GloRilla back on stage. The surprises didn’t end there—Megan and Glo revealed Cardi’s involvement in a forthcoming remix of their track “Wanna Be,” currently at No. 47 on the Hot 100.
The Hot Girl Summer Tour is just starting, with upcoming dates in cities like Philadelphia, Boston, Baltimore, and Memphis. Meanwhile, speculation about Cardi B’s next album continues. Despite a recent tweet indicating no new album this year, her representative later confirmed a 2024 release is still planned. Cardi emphasized her role in opening doors for new female rappers in a Rolling Stone feature, stating, “These labels weren’t believing in new rap artists until I got signed.”
Just days after the New York Knicks’ playoff exit, Madison Square Garden’s atmosphere transformed from gloom to excitement. Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour brought high-energy performances and celebrated New York’s hip-hop stars, including Cardi B and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie.
Fans, dressed in cowboy hats and Megan-themed attire, filled the arena with anticipation. The show began with GloRilla, whose dynamic performance set a high bar. She delivered hits like “Lick Or Sum” and “FNF (Let’s Go)” with impressive energy, even overcoming a wardrobe malfunction with humor.
GloRilla brought out A Boogie, who performed “Jungle” before returning the stage to her. The energy remained high as Glo seamlessly transitioned back to her hits, setting the stage for Megan’s grand entrance.
In a vibrant red outfit, Megan Thee Stallion commanded the stage, proving her arena-headlining prowess. She performed hits like “HISS” and “Freak Nasty,” demonstrating her lyrical and dance talents, particularly her famed “Megan Knees.” During “Gift And a Curse,” she made a powerful statement on abortion rights, reinforcing her message with her fist in the air.
The concert’s highlight came when Cardi B joined Megan for “Bongos” and “WAP.” Despite technical issues, their chemistry shone through, thrilling the audience. Cardi’s classic verse from “Tomorrow 2” brought GloRilla back on stage, creating a memorable moment of unity among the three female rappers. They announced an upcoming “Wanna Be” remix featuring Cardi, to the crowd’s delight.
Megan continued her solo set with hits like “Stalli Freestyle” and “Body,” encouraging fans to embrace themselves. She closed the show with “Savage,” leaving no doubt about her star power and stage presence.
Megan’s debut as a headliner at Madison Square Garden was a triumph, showcasing her talent and the power of perseverance. The Hot Girl Summer Tour’s kickoff promises more exciting performances as it continues nationwide.
Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla have been shutting up a lot of critics ever since their Hot Girl Summer Tour began last week. The duo has continuously packed each and every arena they have been to so far. This could turn out to be one of the highest grossing tours of 2024, no question. It is especially possible when you do things like bring Cardi B out for a stunning guest performance. Megan & Big Glo were in New York City last night as Madison Square Garden was sold out in anticipation for another lit show. But they really turned it up a notch when the Bronx native came out.
While the “Bartier Cardi” rapper was onstage, her and Megan performed their biggest collab to date, “WAP.” Fans were absolutely loving it as they were screaming their hearts out. They rarely play this song together at shows, so this was especially a big deal for that reason alone. However, the threesome had one more trick up their sleeves.
According to AllHipHop, GloRilla took the lead in teasing the audience with some new music coming soon. She began by being extremely vague, “I need y’all to stay tuned. Make sure you tune in tonight ‘cause I ain’t telling you right now.” Megan hilariously questioned her co-star, “Now how you gone tease that and then try and walk away?” That is when Glo finally spilled the beans, “Y’all wanna hear ‘Wanna Be’ with muthaf***in Cardi B? “‘Wanna Be’ muthaf***ing remix about to drop y’all, be ready. Stay tuned!” Hopefully, we can get that remix sooner than later, preferably this Friday.
What are your thoughts on GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion teasing a Cardi B remix of “Wanna Be?” Do you think this version will wind up being better than the original? When do you think the trio will drop the track? We would like to hear what you have to say, so be sure to leave your takes in the comments section. Additionally, always keep it locked in with HNHH for all of the latest news surrounding Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, and Cardi B. Finally, stay with us for everything else going on in the music world.
Classics always hold up. And the year 2020 brought us an instant rap classic. Four years ago, rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion sent the world into shock with their collaboration, “WAP.” While their Billboard chart topper was immediately well-received by fans, the song proved to be controversial due to its lyrical content, as well as the sexual nature of its accompanying video. But regardless, it is a moment everyone will remember.
The two rappers have long sung each other’s praises, and nearly four years after the song’s release, continue to shake up the rap landscape. Tonight (May 21), at the New York City stop of Meg’s ongoing Hot Girl Summer Tour, the Bronx native Cardi B made a surprise appearance, during which, she and Meg performed the iconic raunchy hit.
Of course, Meg and Cardi’s performance was met with cheers from the audience, who couldn’t help but rap along to every single word. On stage, the two have undeniable chemistry. While “WAP” came out during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the performance with the large crowd allowed for the song to finally have its grand live moment.

Last year, Cardi and Meg reunited for the collab, “Bongos.” The two will also collaborate on a remix of “Wanna Be” from GloRilla’s Ehhthang Ehhthang mixtape.
If you’ve been a longtime fan of Cardi B, you’d be forgiven for being a little confused about her relationship status. After all, she and (ex?)husband Offset have gone back and forth quite a few times over the last six years. Most recently, it seemed their “off-again-on-again” love affair was back in the former stage, particularly after Cardi declared in December that she’s “been single for a minute.” However, the couple spent Christmas together and were seen pretty recently together at a Met Gala after-party. So, what exactly is the deal? Are Cardi B and Offset still married?
In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Cardi remained coy about the situation, but her comments did shed some light on it. “The part I love is that we really like each other, like a support system. We’re really both each other’s cheerleader. I don’t really like talking to people. I’m not as social. If I want something from somebody, he’ll be the one that will talk. Because I don’t like asking.”
However, she said of contemplating an official, final divorce, “It’s not even about love. We’re best friends. And it’s like, ‘OK. Well, there was a time that I didn’t have a best friend, or I didn’t have a support system.’ It’s not even about ‘How do you leave a partner?’ How do you stop talking to your best friend?”
So, that seems to be a “yes,” they are still married by all appearances, although like any couple, they’ve had their challenges. And if they’re ever not, they still seem to be bonded by a mutual appreciation and their two kids, who’ll keep them in proximity for a while.
Cardi B is a human being — a multi-diamond-certified human being, but a human being, nonetheless. Cardi B simply wishes BardiGang, her most fervent fans, and the general population at large would remember that when questioning why it has taken six years and counting for the Bronx-bred rapper to deliver her sophomore studio album, the long-awaited follow-up to her record-obliterating debut Invasion Of Privacy.
“Like yesterday, I was scrolling through TikTok and a b*tch made me cry,” Cardi B told Rolling Stone as the cover star for its June 2024 issue. “She was just like, ‘She has got to give it up. She’s better off being an influencer. You was cosplaying being a rapper. Because you don’t take it seriously. That’s why you don’t put out your music.’ And it’s like, I take my music so f*cking seriously that that’s why I don’t put it out. Because if it’s not perfect to my ear, if every f*cking word doesn’t sound like it’s pronounced right, if the beat is overpowering the words or the words is overpowering the beat, I don’t want to put it out.”
She added, “When you give so much and somebody just drags it down, like you’re just playing with your p*ssy all day, just watching Netflix all f*cking day long, it’s very hurtful.”
Elsewhere in the Mankaprr Conteh-written profile, an unnamed Cardi B rep confirmed that “an album in 2024 is still the plan,” and much of the story is dedicated to observing Cardi B hard at work in the studio — tormented over getting it right because she cares so deeply.
The tear-inducing TikTok is referenced again toward the end, when Cardi B showed Conteh an offer to perform a show for $1.5 million.
“If I was doing things for money, I would put out music every month because nothing pays me more than shows,” Cardi said. “I’m turning down these concerts because I don’t got no new music.”
Back in 2020, Cardi B interviewed Joe Biden as part of his presidential campaign. Since then, she has soured on the now-President.
Cardi is the subject of a new Rolling Stone feature shared today (May 16). In it, she’s blunt about her feelings towards both Biden and Donald Trump: “I don’t f*ck with both of y’all n****s,” she said as confirmation that she doesn’t plan to vote at all in the upcoming election.
Our June 2024 cover star @iamcardib has a reminder: “I’m that bitch and y’all fucking know it.”
The star is on a mission to cement her legacy while dealing with the pressures of marriage, motherhood and following up her classic debut.
The piece goes on to note, “Before, she had seen Trump as a dire threat, but under Biden, she’s felt ‘layers and layers of disappointment’ from what she sees as domestic and foreign mismanagement. The cost of living is too high, wages are too low, and too little is being done about it, she says.” Cardi added, “I feel like people got betrayed.”
Cardi also said, “It’s just like, damn, y’all not caring about nobody. Then, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know there’s a solution because you’re spending billions of dollars on any f*cking thing.” She later added, “[America] don’t pay for endless wars for countries that have been going through sh*t for a very long time. There’s countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [US] won’t benefit from that country, they won’t help. I don’t like that America has this superhero cape on. We never did things to be superheroes. We did things for our own convenience.”
